• Ana (9/5): - It is an amazing castle-house from the fairytales! They somehow managed to keep the atmosphere with the furnishing and decorations, and yet make it comfortable for the modern traveler. We had everything needed, including a coffee machine with lots of capsules, also tea and small snacks. The host had pepared detailed instructions on: how to get to Florence (it's really easy), explained everything about the tickets, routes and stops of the busses that go to Florence. Also - recommendations for local restaurants, etc. The castle and the garden are charming and so are the welcoming hosts.
• Fiona (9/5): Authentic peaceful castle experience where you will feel at home - Very authentic experience to stay in the castle. We felt so welcomed and like we were staying with family. Also it is a great spot, so peaceful and yet only 15mins on bus to Florence. The children loved the trampoline, swings, chickens and even made a friend with the housekeepers daughter. The garden surpassed what we expected. We had breakfast on the terrace with beautiful views. Also I slept so well, bed was comfortable and the silence of the countryside. So many interesting details to the rooms. A holiday to remember Since no kitchen sorting out bits for dinner and breakfast if we were at home was a little tricky. We asked for some plates and cutlery and that was easy to borrow and we managed fine as was just a few days
• Kathrin (8/5): Schön ruhig, nicht ganz komfortabel - Ruhige und abgeschiedene Lage, gute Busanbindung (ca 5 min zu Fuß zum Bus), ca. 30 mit Bus 11 nach Florenz. Nette hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Parkplatz direkt am Gebäude. Die Duschkabine war sehr eng, nur 70x70 cm. Nichts für beleibte Menschen und für Schlanke auch zu unbequem. Heizen war nur mit der Klimaanlage möglich, nicht besonders effektiv bei ca 9 Grad Außentemperatur nachts (April).

• Gino (9/5): Absolut besonders, aber kein 5 Sterne Hotel. - Es ist definitiv etwas besonderes in einem alten Castello zu übernachten. Man muss definitiv Abstriche bei einigen Dingen machen und man darf kein 5 Sterne Hotel erwarten. Wer aber Lust auf ein bisschen Abenteuer hat und den Charme eines solchen Anwesens genießen will, ist hier richtig.

• Andra (10/5): - Everything starting from the location, the hospitality, comfort was wonderful. The location is just like a fairytale. The castle has so much history and the rooms were very comfortable. The owners were so sweet and helpful. This will be the only location that we will book from now on in Florence. I do recommend getting there by car, the road leading to the accomodation doesnt have lights and it's just a bit uphill. But you can walk too, we walked late at night during our whole stay and felt really safe, and it was good exercise. If you need any help, or recommendations for restaurants, cafes, attractions, the owners will be more than happy to help. I can't explain how perfect this accomodation has been. It felt like going back in time. I recommend staying here. This place has a special place in our hearts. Thank you for hosting us. See you on our next vacation!

• Lynne (10/5): - We had a great stay at Casa La Torre. The hosts are 2 lovely people and take lots of time with their guests to make sure they are well informed and comfortable. The house is a short bus ride to Florence, so it was lovely to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourists. We had a great tour of the house before leaving, which was really interesting and informative.

• Roxana Mirela (10/5): O experiență deosebită! - Apartamentul este confortabil și utilat cu tot ce ai nevoie. Grădina castelului este mare, deosebit de frumoasă și oferă o priveliște minunată. Se ajunge ușor în oraș ( aprox 20 minute) cu autobuzul pe care-l iei din sat.In cazul in care nu ai masina, distanta din sat pana la castel este de aproximativ 10-15 minute de mers pe jos. Gazdele au fost foarte amabile și drăguțe! Recomand această locație persoanelor iubitoare de liniște, natură și istorie. Totul a fost perfect!

• Wonhui (3/5): 정말 힘들었던 숙소였어요. - 밤늦게 숙소로 걸어들어가는 길에 반딧불을 보았는데 너무나도 예뻤습니다. 주인분들이 매우 친절하십니다. 사진속 방이 혼동되서 저도 다른분 후기처럼 다른 방을 예약했어요. 그건 성 2층의 큰 방이 아니라, 성 뒷문으로 들어가는 후미지고 어둡고 아주 좁은, 가구도 퀄리티가 낮은 하인의 방이었습니다. 차가 없다면 예약하지 마세요. 버스 시간이 안맞으면 시내에서 1시간 반씩 걸립니다. 걸어올라가는 길도 오르막입니다. 성수기라도 가격이 비싸게 느껴지며, 방이 혼동되지 않도록 더 눈에 띄게 명시하면 좋겠습니다.

It has a beautiful garden, the kitchen is very well equipped and organized, and the bedroom is cozy and smells great. I slept peacefully through the night. I liked everything.

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming – we truly felt like part of the family. The highlight of our trip was the lovely surprise they prepared for my birthday. We were invited to a small gathering with champagne, and to our amazement – a birthday cake! They even showed us around the nearby castle, which felt like something straight out of a fairytale. It was a magical, heartwarming experience that we'll never forget. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and hope to come back again someday

• Afife (8/5): Tranquil place near Florence. - The property is in outskirts of Bologna in a lovely countryside where it is convenient to to go by car. The property is very clean and suitable for 2 people (we were 3). The landlord was so helpful and thoughtful, has provided fresh sponges fit washing the dishes, oil, tea, coffee pods, even extra virgin olive oil from his garden. He was very kind to give us eggs from their chicken. The bus trip from the village to Florence was about 30 mins and several buses. The buses take credit cards. Too small for 3 people. Not convenient not to have an armchair because the sofa bed was used as the third bed. It was a very peaceful place after the hassle and bustle of Florence.

• Rafał (9/5): We enjoyed our stay and despite minor drawbacks we recommend it for everyone. - It’s a castle. A building with history, that is very remarkable and unique. Very nice host that gave us a lot of information and explained everything in detail. A lot of people will find it a great alternative to staying in the city centre which is always loud. Here it is quiet. So you can rest in peace. The bathroom was also very convenient and bigger than most apartaments I lived in :) The castle is also in lovely environment that really shines when weather is sunny. Being a castle it has its own drawbacks. Old building so it is a bit moldy. And obviously localization is not perfect for someone who wants to have a quick access to the city. The castle was also assaulted by bugs. But they were harmless and we managed with help of bug spray that was provided :)

• Miguel (4/5): Disappointing - The host was helpful in giving us direction to the main attractions. If you have a car, this place is great. However, if you are commuting with your luggage, I would not recommend this place because it is inconvenient, especially if you are trying to go to and from a bus station, you will have to walk about 15 minutes each way. And at night, there are no light posts on the road; you will need a flash light, which the host will provide. Although it feels like you are staying in a castle, the room setting is weird and smells moldy.

• Faye (8/5): A Tuscan treasure - The hosts went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and make us feel at home. It is by far one of the most unique places we have stayed. The sunset from the Casa is brilliant, and the surrounding olive trees and vineyards give you a true Tuscan experience. We didn't have a car, it was about a 10-minute walk to the nearest town Galuzzo to catch a bus into Florence. Running in the area is beautiful and it is a nice escape from the city.

The kindest hosts, even with Maria-Grazie’s limited English she managed to give us a tour of the castle with some of its history, which made me appreciate it even more! We had a huge bedroom with a coffee machine and a massive bathroom! The location was wonderful to visit Florence just a bus ride of 15minutes from the main town..

Maria & Lupi were great hosts, showed us around the house & up into the castle tower. The house is like a museum, lots of beautiful period furniture. Definitely recommend!! PS. Great little pizzeria in the town square, has a big outdoor are out the back - great food & wine, fab staff too. Nothing!

The hosts are the most amazing people in Italy!! they explain very well the whole history of the castle, and the region, they take care of every detail to make the most of your stay. The apartment was comfortable and it has everything you may need. The view from the tower is absolutely stunning. I would love to come back one million times!!❤️ All good
• Joe (8/5): A Unique Tuscan Experience - We had a wonderful stay at Casa La Torre. The castle is beautiful, with a lovely garden in the back. Our host gave us some farm fresh eggs for our breakfast and provided bus tickets on arrival - very thoughtful. I thoroughly enjoyed having a different experience to the classic city airbnb - although staying here may be easier if you have a car/you don’t have heavy bags! The property was a little hard to get to, taxi drivers got a little confused. As we were only in Florence for a few days we probably didn’t get to enjoy the property as much due to its distance.

• Ryan (10/5): An already magical and historical city, made all the better by this magical and historical property. - The property is amazing, and for the price, practically a steal. Pier, the host, met us as we arrived and showed us around the property, explaining the facilities and the history of the castle. He then went on to provide bus tickets for the following day into Florence and a brochure of the local amenities and transportation. Couldn’t praise the property or Pier more.
• Peter (6/5): Pleasant hosts in a quirky home - This is more like being a houseguest of the charming owners than staying in a hotel or B&B. The internet is excellent. The hosts responsive and helpful. There is no opportunity for breakfast at the property. The grounds are poorly maintained so nowhere to sit really other than in one’s room. There doesnt seem to be air conditioning. This is not suitable for children in my opinion.

This literally a castle built in 13th century (if I'm not mistaken) with a great terrace having a view on the town and hills (very nice to have some wine and chill). Hosts are great people who maintain a cosy atmosphere at the place and help with any kind of enquiries. The room was tidy, with all the necessary facilities and it's clear that it's taken care of by the owners. I highly recommend this place if you want something different and of the high quality

It's probably better if you have a car (the parking space is huge), but even on foot it's 10 min by bus + 15 min walk from the city center. Windows have screens, so mosquitos don't bother you at night And the host is probably the loveliest person I ever met :D

• Christy (10/5): Staying at Casa La Torre elevated my trip - Everything about this place was magical. The hosts were so welcoming. If you have the chance, don't miss this special place. It's a little out of town of the main part of Florence, so it allows you to get away from all of the crowds. My recommendation is take a taxi back at night if you don't have a car or bikes, it was very easy for me to get one from any of the taxi stands around town

• Tomas (9/5): Superb - This is a true caste. You stay on the caste and in the rooms exquisitely decorated and furnished as they might have been at the end of 19th century, with most furniture prices probably centuries older than that. Many small individual objects, photographs, watches, paintings and other paraphernalia give the stay a personal touch. This is castle where you go for authenticity and historical experience, not for comfort. You basically stay in a museum exhibit with pluses and minuses it entails.

• Barbara (10/5): Absolutely perfect! - Everyone was so generous and welcoming, always making sure that we had everything we needed! The house and its surrounding are absolutely beautiful and so quiet! Everything was so well equipped, the room, bathroom and kitchen had all we needed, it was perfect! Even the eggs and the olive oil from the estate were wonderful. The bus took us 10/15 minutes to the center of Florence and there was a fantastic supermarket nearby. We couldn't ask for a better stay or better hosts and we know we will definitely come back to Casa La Torre on our next trip to Florence! Thank you! Everything was perfect!

• Chrystal (9/5): Superb - We had an amazing stay at this beautiful place. The elderly couple who own the place were so kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. They gave us a tour of their home. It felt surreal to be around so much history. The surroundings are peaceful and the rooms/bathrooms are very clean. This place is ideal if you have a few days in Tuscany and actually want to experience a stay in the countryside. My husband and I would love to travel back there someday and stay for a longer time. Also, only one of the rooms has a kitchen so if you're planning to cook please confirm with the owner if that's the room you're getting. I don't have anything negative to say about this beautiful place. But an important thing to note is that this place is a 25 min bus ride away from Florence and then a 400m walk away from the nearest bus stop. The buses aren't the most punctual so if you don't have your own car you could easily spend 45 mins-1 hour getting from Florence to the hotel. So staying at this place would be better if you're in Tuscany for atleast a few days and/or have your own car.

• Magdalena (8/5): Very good - Very friendly welcome after arrival. Good location for visiting Florence - you can go by bus or walk about 5 km to Porta Romana, very quiet place. Well equipped kitchen with supply of coffee for coffee machine and olive oil produced by the owner. Cleanliness. Nice bed linen. Good parking place. This place is good for two people, but for three (as we were) is rather small. After unfolding sofa there's no place to move in the bedroom and the sofa is not comfortable for sleeping for an adult.

• Aleksandar (10/5): Tuscany Fairytale - It was an absolutely remarkable Tuscany experience. Host family made our stay fabulous. At first we thought staying that far from Florence could be a problem but on the contrary it was an advantage! We had peace and charm of countryside and Florence was just 20 minutes by bus that costs only 1.5€
• Jon (10/5): Great end to our walking tour around Florence. We loved it. - This mini-castle was amazingly good! The hosts were so kind and provided a great tour of the castle and went thru all the details of how it came to them. The "room" was actually two rooms - a kitchen / breakfast area and then a separate bedroom with attached bathroom. The castle was great - but it is a 10-15 minute walk to get into "town" and a little more to get to a restaurant. It was a small narrow road, so no big deal. With a car it would be 3 - 4 minutes.
