Could only hear a few seagulls which didn't bother us. Basic facilities but all we needed. Liked having the 2 balconies for the views and fresh air. Also handy for hanging hand washing. Close to the tourist attractions, cafes and restaurants. Would rebook if we go back to Istanbul. 50 steps to climb with suitcases.....but good exercise.

• Nicole (10/5): Clean room in a very central and quiet location - The room was very clean and tidy, in a great location from which most places can be reached by walking, without being too noisy. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. Amazing value for the price. Ramazan was super welcoming and friendly. We would definitely come back! There was only one downside. We stayed in the upper room, just under the roof, and i think seagulls might have made a nest there. As a result, we got woken up very often by seagulls screaming. Not a big deal if you can sleep through it, but could be annoying if you’re a light sleeper.

В номере чисто, имеется все необходимое. Есть возможность готовить самостоятельно. Вайфай работал бесперебойно. Внимательный хозяин, откликался на пожелания гостей, быстро отвечал на вопросы. С удовольствием остановимся здесь в следующий раз.

• Vlad (10/5): Lovely stay in Ararat Apart - I loved how nice the apartments were. Very clean, good facilities. Me and my familiy stayed in an apart with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I had my privacy while my parents had theirs. My autie stayed in a one bedroom apartment and she also enjoyed it. Each room had AC that can be used for coolling or heating, there was also a fridge in each room and atached bathroom. Each apartment also had a kitchen and cute terrace. Our apartment was on the ground level, but there was no problem as the windows that were facing the street were reinforced with steel, and I had curtains. The location was very good! 5 min walking from Little Hagia Sofia, next to us a small market and 2 min walk a bigger market. All the houses in the neighbourhood were very cute and colourfull. There were 2 parks near us and I fed cute cats. The locals were very friendly and I felt safe even during the evening. Our host was amazing, he helped us with everything needed and his recommandations were the best! The furniture is nice and seems quite new. The beds were comfy and clean. In bathrooms we had everything that was needed, even band-aids which for me were very helpful. There was also hairdryer in each bath. I loved everything. It was not noisy, but I always have earplugs with me just in case.

Located in a really small, nice and quiet street but really close to sights like the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia, very good restaurants and supermarkets. There's also a good and inexpensive 101 store nearby. If you're staying for a few days, be sure to purchase an Istanbulkart. This will give you access to the metro, tram, city buses, funicular, water transport, and many other services at approximately a 40% discount compared to other payment methods. Mr. Ramazan will help you purchase an Istanbulkart. I recommend Apart Ararat to everyone. Everything is fine.

El apartamento tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia completa. Con una pequeña cocina bien equipada. La ubicación es fantástica, en 7 minutos a pie estás delante de la Mezquita Azul. • Oleg (10/5): Фото на сайте полностью совпадают с реальностью. Имейте в виду, это не отель, а апартаменты. Всего 4 этажа, по одному но - Очень удобное расположение. Совсем рядом со всеми достопримечательностями, но на очень тихой улочке. Рядом куча вкусных и не дорогих кафешек, магазинов. Идеальные матрасы и постельное бельё. Никакой сырости и плесени, всё чисто, свежий ремонт. Всегда горячая вода с мощным напором. Нет сушилки для одежды и белья, да и места толком нет, куда бы её поставить. Но есть радиаторы, которые отлично греют, можно сушить на них.
• Sasa (10/5): - Mi smo bili smesteni na 4. spratu, u apartmanu sa 2 prostrane terase bez kuhinje sa fridziderom. Vremenske prilike su bile lose, pa nismo imali priliku da koristimo terase, ali je u prolece i leto verovatno jako lepo doruckovati ili popiti kafu na njima. Apartman je bio jako cist, krevet i jastuci jako udobni. Vlasnik je jako fin i ukoliko imate nekih problema u smestaju, ne oklevajte da mu pisete. Fen u sobi je bio jako star i nedovoljno jak za moju dugu kosu i odmah se ponudio da mi donese drugi. Takodje nam je pomogao da zakljucamo vrata od terase (morate kvaku okrenuti na gore, pa zakljucati). Deo grada u kome je smesten apartman je divan i miran i nalazi se na 10-ak minuta od Sultanahmet trga, ali se do njega stize malo zahtevnijom uzbrdicom. Ukoliko imate smetnje prilikom kretanja, trebali biste izbegavati ovaj deo grada, zato sto do centra mozete stici samo pesaka ili kolima (nema gradskog prevoza). Prilikom jako kisnih dana se osecao miris kanalizacije, ali to je normalna pojava u svakom primorskom gradu i nije nesto na sta bi vlasnik mogao da utice. Stepenice su uske i strme. Ne kupujte u prodavnici pored apartmana nista, pokusali su da nam naplate paket vode 14 eura, a onda ga spustili na 8 eura! (klasicni prevaranti)

• KEVIN (10/5): Fantastic stay! - Great little modern apartment in a pretty little street, quiet neighbourhood (Little Hagia Sofia), walking distance from the main attractions. Double glazing and central heating so it’s cosy and warm, very important in this cold city. Excellent HOT shower, very good security, super clean throughout and great value. Ramazan is a top host, and such a kind and helpful guy. I had a bit of a health scare and he came over immediately and drove me to the hospital and back, this was Friday evening on Ramadan too. My whole experience at Ararat was pretty well perfect. I recommend this stay 100% and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Ramazan Nothing

• George (9/5): Comfortable, clean, convenient place to stay in Istanbul. - Separate bedrooms and two bathrooms; access to outdoor garden from apartment. Location is handy for Sultanahmet area, but it’s a steep slog up to the street car line. The owner, Ramazan, is wonderfully friendly, attentive, responsive, and helpful. The street-side bedroom gets some street noise (conversations and the occasional motorcycle). Not a big issue, but needed to close the window at night to reduce the minimal, periodic street noise.

The cleanliness was perfect. Very good value for money. One day the toilet just stopped flushing. It stopped working. But the problem resolved in around 4-5 hours.

• Kuvshinova (9/5): Amazing experience for low price in the low season - I cannot recommend Ararat apart enough. This is an incredible place to stay. 1. 15 min walk to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. Old part of the town, but not too toristish, charming narrow streets. Grocery store is 10 min away near the T1 station which can effectively get you in the direction of Taksim square rather fast. Alcohol shop literally next door. 2. The area around seems rather safe. There are a lot of other apartments, so there is someone around pretty often. I am a female solo traveler (23 years old), I was coming back at around 21-22 and felt safe. I think around 23 would also be all right in this specific area. I don't think I've seen anyone suspicious even once. There are a lot of cats in the area, as everywhere in Istanbul. They seem well-fed and rather satisfied with their life. There are a few notes here in the "didn't like" section. Note that I was visiting in January, which is not a high season. Perhaps something changes during the summer. 3. I paid 224€ for 6-12 January which is a very fair price. I also booked very late (a few days before), so I was very pleasantly surprised. 4. The host is indeed very accommodating and speaks English quite well. I had very odd check-in and check-out hours, but he still helped me with heavy luggage that I had with me. When I was leaving by the taxi, he texted me to not hesitate to contact him in case the taxi driver is bad. It's very noticeable when someone is just being nice in order to get something for it, and it's clearly not the case. 5. In terms of the room: everything is clean and well-kept. A few signs of the renting property here and there, but nothing too bad. There was a stove, an electric kettle, microwave. All the necessary utensils also. No bed-bugs or cockroaches. There is no elevator and a narrow staircase, but since the host helped me with my luggage it was not a disadvantage to me. The bed is very comfortable. Central heating was working. 1. There is an abandoned house right in front of the house. It seems to be empty, and I've seen a few like that in the area, so it wasn't too much of a concern to me. However it might be discomforting for some people. 2. The mentioned alcohol shop turned on music even around midnight, but that's just Istanbul being Istanbul, I doubt that there is any scenario where there aren't loud sounds outside. When all the windows were closed I didn't have problems with falling asleep. 4. The door is made of paper, so when someone is speaking in the apartment in front of you you basically hear everything. Again, wasn't too much of a problem to me, earphones solved this pretty quickly. If you are a light sleeper and decided to come to Istanbul — heavily recommend ear plugs of all kinds. It's not a quiet city and that's one of the reasons that makes it so amazing. 5. The electric stove took a while to get hot, but that was fine with me. In general, I think that considering the price, the perfect location and the incredible helpfulness of the host this is a very good choice for a solo or couple/friends stay. Good for a few days and a few weeks.

• Julia (10/5): Cómoda y agradable … - Todo el alojamiento estaba limpio y muy nuevo y cómodo, con todas las cosas necesarias para una estancia confortable. Espacioso, muy calentito y las camas muy cómodas. Viajamos toda la familia, cinco adultos, y con los dos baños y los dos apartamentos a nuestra disposición estuvimos muy agusto. Esta en un barrio pintoresco y en los alrededores hay de todo cafeterías, pastelerías, supermercado, restaurantes, hoteles, y a solo 10 minutos de Sultanamet y de las grandes Mezquitas. Parada de taxi en la esquina, aunque no nos los recomendaron y a solo 10 minutos del metro y bus. Nos resultó fácil llegar a cualquier sitio y tb movernos por el barrio. El anfitrión nos recibió el día de nuestra llegada y eso que llegamos por la noche y con bastante retraso, fue encantador, estuvo pendiente de nuestra llegada, nos facilitó el taxi para venir y volver al aeropuerto y durante toda la estancia estuvo pendiente de si necesitábamos algo, tb nos facilito tarjetas de transporte para recargarlas y nos dió indicaciones para movernos por el barrio, El alojamiento esta genial

• Julie (9/5): Great host and area! - Our host met us at the apartment. Great communication We would have preferred a microwave and places to sit to watch TV rather than on the bed. This was my fault as I thought the room I booked was had these, I guess I didn’t notice before I booked. We stayed an extra week and he accommodated us. He was very responsive to our requests and checked in with us during our stay. He gave us local places as recommendations for meals that were great. Thanks and would consider staying again depending on length of time. Was a great value but a walk uphill to the metro but we didn’t mind, might have been a challenge for some but good location.

• LANYEONG (10/5): 이스탄불의 작은 보석 - 주인분의 배려와 친절함에 별 백개 주고 싶어요 도착한 날 어디어디 가면 좋을지 설명해주시고, 맛집까지 데려다주시고요. 교통카드도 주시고, 매일 뭐 더 필요한건 없는지 물어봐주시고, 수건도 알아서 더 갖다주시고, 가는날 택시에 타는것까지 세심하게 신경써주셨어요. 다음에 가도 다시 이 곳에 머물고 싶어요. 침대컨디션도 좋고, 뜨거운 물 콸콸 잘 나오고, 집앞 골목바이브 너무 좋고, 앞으로 뒤로 작은 공원이 2개나 연결되는 점도 큰 장점이예요. 감사합니다. 😊 굳이 없지만, 방4개를 빌렸고 그중 26평짜리 방은 생각보다 작았어요. 12평정도? 정확한 규모 기입이 필요해요.

• Zorko (10/5): Clean and tidy at handy location - Ramazan waited for us even at late hour, around 9pm. He showed us the property and provided lot of information about places to eat and markets nearby. Bathroom is quite small and cabinet is close to vanity and it makes washing face a little bit challenging.

• Tomoko (10/5): 旧市街にあり、何処へ行くにも徒歩圏内で10泊の滞在は快適でした。 - 飛行機が少し遅れましたがラマザンは待っててくれました。到着後荷物を運んでくれ、近くのレストランやショップ情報を教えてくれました。ミネラルウォーターをスーパーと同じ価格で用意してくれ、いつでも必要な時、階下から持って行けたのは助かりました。滞在中常にワッツアップで繋がっていて応答は素早く、ツアーやクルーズも予約してくれました。ラマザンのお陰で快適な滞在でした。

The host was incredibly helpful, even assisting us with late-night questions for our kids. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Ideally located—away from the busy tourist crowds but just a short walk to attractions, cozy cafés, and local shops—this was the perfect base for our first Istanbul adventure! Nothing, just to note there are stairs in the building but it was manageable with small kids and strollers.

Always on hand if necessary. - It was perfect for us as the other couple we were meeting up with were just the other side of the hall way. So we were close by but with our own privacy. The property is modern in spite of being in an old building. A delightful area with easy walking access to the highlights of Istanbul. Supermarkets and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. Nothing

• Lapige (10/5): Emplacement idéal les visites - Appartement très propre, bien situé et très calme. Nous avons apprécié la tres grande gentillesse de Ramazan, à su répondre à toutes nos demandes et interrogations. Le premier matin, des petits pains pour le petit déjeuner nous attendait. L'appartement n'est pas fonctionnel, mais ce n'est pas rédhibitoire.

He advised on lots of things including restaurant which we used every night of our stay as the food was excellent. He also booked our airport transfers and other taxis for us. Very quick in replying. • Augusto LIMA (10/5): Muito bom. Recomendo! - A minha estadia foi muito boa. Fiquei 5 noites. O Ramon foi muito receptivo, solicito e amigável. O ar condicionado é bom. As instalações são boas também. Chuveiro é maravilhoso. É tudo simples, mas muito bem limpo e mantidade. O custo benefício valeu a pena. Eu contratei o serviço de lavagem de roupa e ele me entregou todas as minhas roupas dobradas e cheirosas, muito bom. Para quem precisa trabalhar, o local é ótimo. Tem uma mesa (um pouco pequena, mas suficiente) e a internet, no geral, é boa (não tive problemas, fiz reuniões e chamadas de vídeo, download, upload, etc). É uma distância ok a pé dos pontos turíticos e a rua é tranquila (não tive problemas com barulho durante minha estadia). Tem blackout no quarto pra deixar ele bem escuro pra dormir (ótimo).

The accommodation is within walking distance of the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. The nearest metro station is Camberlitas which is also within walking distance.

• BALDOMERO (10/5): Un buen lugar para pasar unas vacaciones en familia y un anfitrión inmejorable. - El apartamento es excelente: muy limpio, confortable y bien ubicado. Pero lo mejor de todo el anfitrión, Ramazan, que se preocupa mucho para que sus huéspedes estén a gusto y no les falte nada. Te da mucha información sobre lugares y restaurantes y está disponible en todo momento para cualquier duda o problema que surja.
• Bella (10/5): Exceptional service by Mr Ramazan - Mr Ramazan has been an amazing host, so helpful and kind. He made our stay happy and joyful. He was very helpful in advising us where to go and how to get there. He borrowed us his public transport card so that we don't have to buy one. His apartments are near almost all the landmarks. The blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and Topkapi palace are just 10 - 15 mins walk. For families with young kids, there are 2 parks at both end of the street. Our kids loved playing there, and it felt so safe that we would stay at the parks past midnight. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around. I would highly recommend him for your stay in Istanbul.
• YINGYING (9/5): - 地理位置优越！老城区主要景点全部步行可达！一共4个人，3张床2个卫生间以及迷你厨房非常便利！周边吃饭也都不错！ 没有电梯，大行李箱搬上楼比较累。另外，如果有大行李箱准备从车站走路去酒店的话，建议打车。伊斯坦布尔上坡下坡拖箱子比较累。
