Geraldine (3/5): Hard going. I would not return even at it’s excellent price. - Amazing location. Good price for it’s situation close to Blue Mosque and other sites. Good local restaurants and shops. Host pleasant and communicative. Shabby. The bed was in danger of falling apart and the most uncomfortable mattress ever. I took pain killers to go to bed! Ribs and back ached in the night. Pillows were useless. Light streamed into the bedroom and the curtains were totally ineffective,gaps allowed visibility into the bedroom. The toilet was awful. The lid would not stay up so you had to sit, wet room shower water pooled to make every visit fraught when clothed. There was a 60 inch tele not plugged into anything plonked on the armchairs. Why? No lamps so main light on or off. Exposed wiring, dangerous. Three of seven days no wi-fi. Before it went it was erratic.
Vandenbroeke (3/5): Poor - We liked the location, the air conditioner worked very well. The bathroom smelled terrible, the shower didn't drain well. There were insects in the rooms. The electrical outlets were just hanging by the wires.
Giordana (10/5): The location is fantastic. This is a simple, great apartment with everything you need. - The owner also owns the Honey Hotel which is practically next door. Both owner and EVERYONE at the Honey Hotel were immensely helpful all the time. I had feared, that I would have gotten the key and then would have been on my own. On the contrary, you can benefit from the hotel's team at all time. They gave me many important info and even the Metro card so that I did not have to buy it. If you have a problem, they will find a solution. Very kind team. The location is super fantastic and you can walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque which I visited during the day but also after dinner at dark when they are all lighten up. The apartment is surrounded by restaurants, artisan stores (MUCH cheaper than the Bazar), and grocery stores. This is a jewel for no frills travelers. The apartment was clean and had everything you may need to cook (I never did bc of all the fantastic restaurants around). The shower has no cabin. So, the bathroom floor is always wet or humid.
