- Ricky (7/5): Great Location, Beautiful Decor. - Nicely decorated, awesome location. A great renovation has been done to a nice standard. Quality linens & good pillows are needed. Bed is against a wall making it difficult to get in & out of for the ageing.. A free standing heated towel rail would be a great addition considering how long things can remain damp in Amsterdam's climate.
- Calvin (10/5): Perfect studio apartment to explore the city. Fresh, modern and clean, everything you need. - A perfect apartment studio. Clean, fresh and modern. The studio has all the amenities and bits you need. Location is great, a short walk from everything you need! The hosts from booking to check out were very delightful. I will be staying again myself and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city. This is a personal view but I would have liked a small tv. Something to watch when you’re getting ready or if you’re settling in for the night.
- Théa (10/5): Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’appartement est impeccable : joliement décoré, propre, bien équipé et idéalement -
- Eliya (9/5): -
- Ava (10/5): Cutest place in the best location! - Cutest little apartment in the best location. Super quiet spot right beside the Skinny Bridge. It's very central but still far from the touristy red light district, however that's exactly what we wanted. The apartment itself was amazing and so lovely. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

- Marija (10/5): - Very cozy apartment on excellent location.
- Mick & Di (10/5): Fabulous Stay - Excellent location, with easy walking distance to transport, restaurants and attractions.
Beautifully decorated, spacious and well-appointed apartment. Loved our stay and definitely recommend. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- rebecca (10/5): Beautiful little gem - Quaint quirky comfy…… loved our stay great location slept lovely. Great communication from host would definately recommend.
- Agnieszka (7/5): Overall all you needed for a fantastic short stay in the property. - The lovely hosts checked in with us which was a lovely touch. It was beautifully decorated and location worked for us beautifully! We’d be happy to come back again. We stayed 1week and liked everything. It’s a shame, thought, there wasn’t a microwave to reheat food.
- Analia Stewart (10/5): - This apartment was spotless, super cozy, and in such a great location. The decor is adorable, and it’s just perfect for a couple’s stay. We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it!
- Serena (9/5): - The location was great, the bed was so comfortable and the couple running it are so helpful and kind.
- Hans (10/5): - Prachtige locatie, mooi appartement, goed bed. Tip: magnetron zou handig zijn.
- Mariia (10/5): One of the coziest places I stayed at - Awesome location to walk to multiple places. Very comfy bed. Large room, enough space for everything. Very caring hosts - checked on us periodically during the whole week we stayed there. Easy to access - just a few steps down from the street. Had everything we needed and more (shame we found an umbrella only after we bought another one). Can sometimes see (and hear) the hosts' cat through a little back window when it's outside in the tiny mesh "garden" upstairs. It's fluffy! Very humid. Would benefit from a dehumidifier. Everything felt a little damp all the time. Need to swipe the water from the bathroom floor into the shower drain or it doesn't dry for a long long time. Ceiling beams with large cracks look a bit scary.
Other things that were fine to us personally but may be a downside for someone:
- very low ceiling - if you're more than ~175 cm tall - will bang your head in some places;
- no stove - we didn't care but also didn't realize there wasn't one;
- very dark - it's kind of in the cellar and has like a window and a half at two opposite narrow ends;
- absolutely not accessible with disabilities.
- Anita (8/5): Wonderful location near skinny bridge. Very comfortable studio. - Wonderful location. Some
Nice welcoming touches in the studio. Comfortable bed and good shower. Very nicely decorated. Thank you for recommendations - Cafe restaurant de Reiger was perfect. Be aware of the low ceiling. At times you can hear the accommodation above. We didn't need to cook anyway but limited facilities for this.
- Devin (10/5): -
- Abdelkafi (8/5): Very good -
- Cara (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the little apartment, it was quirky and decorated to a high standard. Great location and easy to find. Lovely and clean and had everything you would need for a few days in the fabulous city of Amsterdam. Plenty of local information & a great coffee machine. We will definitely be back.
Mark & Donna Cumbria UK.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect compact stylish accommodation. - Just right , centre of Amsterdam but also quiet near all amenities. We were able to walk round but easy to also catch trams. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Look out the window and see houseboats. You know your in Amstadam. No suited my wife and me.
- Cameron (10/5): Weekend in Amsterdam - I will always try to book this place again whenever I go to Amsterdam. Everything was perfect the hosts were amazing and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Location is very walkable, tram station just a few steps away and an excellent little cafe/bakery just around the corner. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need for your stay. The few games and books about Amsterdam are a very nice touch to learn about the area. The bathroom is a little small and it's hard to keep the water in the shower. A door or extending the glass provision might help some.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allanah (10/5): A canal house in the best part of town. - This property is full of character and has been beautifully appointed. It’s in a vibrant location with so many sights, restaurants and shops nearby. It’s also close to the metro and trams. We loved our stay here and would definitely book again. Nothing. It has everything you need.
- Huw (9/5): Perfect for our two nights stay in Amsterdam. - A cozy, spotlessly clean , comfortable and beautifully decorated apartment. The location is excellent within walking distance of Rembrandtplein square with its numerous bars and restaurants, the flower market, Rijksmuseum and many lovely walks along the canals . It was very easy to get to the apartment from Amsterdam Central just 2 metro stops to Waterlooplein and then a very short walk. The hosts were very welcoming and communicated well before and during our stay.
- Tiziana (10/5): Exceptional - APARTMENT AND AREA
- Roberta (7/5): Hard to imagine the claustrophobic ceiling and lack of windows from the pictures. Great location but no view. I might ha - Location. Bed was comfortable, decor appealing. Rudimentary in terms of food preparation, the ceiling low--travelers should be warned it is a basement room with low ceilings and tiny bathroom--at the same time the mirrors are hung too high for a short person. No mat for the shower, no tissues (beyond toilet tissue and paper towels), it was cold, even after the upstairs occupant raised the heat. Communication of door code came too late to access it when we arrived and owner did not pick up the phone.
- Neha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Great apartment in a great location - Very clean. Beautifully appointed, lovely fixtures furniture and fittings - the most comfortable bed ever!
Nice views of the Amstel and short walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Recommended ! Nothing
- Santosh (9/5): Excellent cozy apartment for a couple ,will return to stay here when I come again to Amsterdam - Excellent location next to the Skinny bridge from James Bond Diamonds are Forever movie.
Cozy little studio apartment in the basement. Very helpful hosts. Quiet area Adding a microwave and electric Hot plate will make life easy to make some basic breakfast, only having Electric kettle , a Juicer and Egg boiler is of very limited use in kitchen.

- Mike (10/5): Beautiful location, super cozy room & hosts live above and are very helpful! - Location was nice as it was on a canal and the surrounding neighborhood had a great selection of cafes, restaurants and a grocery all within a quick walk. The ceiling beams are low - if you are over 5'11'' beware!
- Jessica (10/5): Absolutely beautiful studio in such an amazing location!! The bed was very comfortable and it was styled beautifully. - Absolutely beautiful studio in such an amazing location!! The bed was very comfortable and it was styled beautifully.
- Joanna (8/5): Great even though weather was not great ! - Great location ! Very comfortable ! Nice renovation with very tasteful decor.
Studio with kitchenette equip with dishwasher, fridge, toster, coffee maker ect
Thank you very much for letting us use it. Every thing was very good !
- Truman (8/5): Very good - Located and facilities
- Anthea (9/5): Great stay. - Excellent value, beautiful presentation and immaculate.
- Norman (10/5): Exceptional - remarkably appointed interior. Owners very helpful. Shower floor is smooth tile. Very slippery, especially for seniors. Suggest a small clear plastic shower mat be provided. Long term travelers/renters frequently need to do a small amount of laundry. Rental was so beautifully furnished that coat hangers were leather wrapped thereby preventing us from hanging clothes to dry on them. (we didnt want to damage the leather) Suggest a few plastic hangers be provided also. No microwave (unable to reheat leftovers)
- Shashank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wing (10/5): Exceptional - The property is located on the Amstel River, within easy walking distance of numerous tourist attractions. We were able to visit the H'ART Museum, ARTIS Royal Zoo, Hortus Botanical Garden, Moco Museum, Van Gogh Museum, and Rijksmuseum on foot from the property.
To reach the property from Amsterdam Central Station, you can simply take the metro for two stops to Waterlooplein station, which is very convenient.
The property itself is beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. The cups and dishes feature charming patterns, adding to the overall aesthetic. We were delighted to find a complimentary bottle of Cava waiting for us upon arrival.
Upon check-in, we received a detailed information sheet listing the addresses of recommended restaurants, supermarkets, and other useful resources. It was clear that the hosts, Elio and Maikel, had gone to great lengths to ensure our stay would be a pleasant one. Nothing, we love the property.
- Ruijie (8/5): Very good -
- Natanya (10/5): Perfectly located gem of an apartment! - Beautifully decorated and spotless. Very central but quiet. Lovely responsive but unobtrusive hosts Nothing!
- Skye (10/5): Lovely apartment in central amsterdam! - Amazing location, lovely furnishings, owners were lovely, extremely comfy bed!
- Olivia (10/5): Beautiful accomodation for beautiful Amsterdam - Location was fantastic!
Host was lovely and welcoming.
Accomodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything you needed for a couple days. Would return! Only con was the shower having no door. No door meant water got everywhere and the bath mats were always wet. No big deal tho! Everything else was fantastic.
- Bonnie (9/5): Superb - Bathroom was all marble. Walls and floors. No shower or bath mat, floor was soooo slippery. To the hosts, please buy a bathroom rug and plastic mat for the shower.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional Accommodation Would Stay Again - The studio was spotless!! So clean, very nicely decorated, and comfortable bed. Within short walking distance to museums, grocery store and restaurants. Host was helpful and we were able to drop off our luggage for storage upon arrival. Be aware steps into the studio are very steep.
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Satu (9/5): Wish we had longer in this pretty, perfect Amstel side bolt hole! - Great location, delightful decor, helpful instructions and recommendations -all round a bijou gem! The steps at the front.
- Patrick (10/5): Great location and comfortable surroundings. - Wonderful location. Close to both the museums and the central Amsterdam area. And, close to the metro or Tram if you needed to go further out. The trip from the train station took less than 10 minutes, and that was when I didn’t know where I was going.
Comfortable bed, and a cozy room for the time you’re in it.
You can’t cook, but you can make sandwiches, coffee, or tea. Lots of space to make whatever you need. The shower was different than I’m used to. The water got everywhere, but most likely that’s because I’ve never used a shower with an opening like that.
Ceilings are low! The warnings are on point, but once you get used to them they’re not as bad.
- Maria (8/5): Great experience and stay - Everything ! Really good stay and experience. Modern and nice place ! They charged me a damage I didn’t do.
- Kerrie (9/5): Lovely weekend getaway and the ideal location for us to explore beautiful Amsterdam. - Beautifully renovated apartment in a picturesque location by the Amstel, with everything you need and the most comfortable bed ever! The street outside is quiet yet you’re just a few minutes stroll to lively bars and restaurants and nearby Rembrandtsquare. The hosts provided helpful information including great local restaurant recommendations. Late check out was also appreciated. Nothing. It was perfect for us.
- Matthew (10/5): If you’re looking for a great location, great hosts and a beautiful apartment, then there’s nowhere else to stay! - I spent a long weekend in Amsterdam, I can only describe the Amstel Palace as my home away from home. Superbly located, within walking distance to all I wished to see. It is a wonderfully decorated apartment to a high standard, and the hosts ensured that I had an impeccable stay. I will stay here again next time I visit. From both the perspectives of a designer and traveler I couldn’t possibly fault it.
- Mbsearle (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - The studio was a wonderful place to stay amidst the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam! The location was perfect: a quiet street with easy access to anywhere we wanted to go due to excellent public transport.
The bed was the most comfortable bed we have had in Europe! The hosts were lovely and answered any questions we had very promptly, while giving us plenty of privacy. A perfect little sanctuary in Amsterdam, highly recommend!
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic, we will definitely be back again. Great location. - The hosts were informative, very helpful and quick at responding back to us. The room has everything you need, plenty of space and comfy bed.
- Vaschil (9/5): Superb -
- Szymik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Co. (10/5): Perfect stay in Amsterdam - Excellent!! The pictures don’t do justice, just felt like home away from home. There was nothing we didn’t like, it is very well done up and so comfortable
- Katharine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Fantastic location - Everything, from the location, the super comfy bed. Equipped with kettle, toaster, poached egg maker & coffee machine. Fridge is included, with a lovely bottle of Cava, nice touch & great taste in decor!! Will definitely be stopping again. Nothing, everything was perfect and was equipped with everything you needed.
- Martha (10/5): Absolutely fantastic! - Unique and stylish, comfortable The bathroom could use a shelf
- Qian (7/5): Very nice host and superb location. - Great location Bathroom tends to have a lot of water on the floor.
- Monique (9/5): Enjoyed it very much. Location great and flat very nice. - Location is great. No TV
- Jim (10/5): Beautiful, elegant, uplifting! - Everything!
There was nothing I could say that is bad about the property. From getting to meet the wonderful hosts to the detail they put into the furniture.
It was our favourite stay ever in Amsterdam after 7 visits!! Nothing.
- Erin (10/5): Beautifully renovated studio apartment. - Beautifully designed and newly renovated studio apartment. The bed was super comfortable and the location was superb. The host gave really great check in instructions and was helpful with places to eat and check out. Highly recommended this studio for a couple. Nothing it was perfect.
- Dalgic (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Unique - Unique and beautifully decorated - great neighbourhood with plenty of excellent restaurants close by as well as a good Cafe coffee shop ( as in Melbourne coffee .. not the reefer type) - but if you are partial to that it was available close by as well.
Also very quiet Nothing , but I’d you are tall it would be a little difficult
- Poyraz (10/5): Exceptional - The decoration of the room, the location of the facility, it was very central, it was wonderfully clean and it was great that it was special to us, we were in constant communication with the owners of the place, they were very helpful, we are thinking of staying there again next year. It wouldn't be bad if there was a shelf for products such as shampoo in the bathroom, other than that, everything was great.
- Lemonia (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location, nice clean appartment
- Ralph (10/5): A fantastic location in the old neighborhoods along and adjoining the beautiful Amstel River. - The location in the Amstel neighborhood was a fantastic experience of approximating life in Old Amsterdam. The constant diverse boating activities taking place in the Amstel right across the street from the apartment provided wonderful entertainment. We enjoyed walking the streets on both sides of the river and the various canals perpendicular to the river. A good supermarket was close by, nearly to Rembrandtsquare, in one of the large buildings currently housing the offices of Booking.com, The apartment was very nicely renovated, and the bed and other furnishings were wonderful. Although we did not meet the hosts personally, their email instructions for checking in and out were excellent and they included some nice welcoming touches. It was a pleasant walk to a large choice of restaurants, the Flower Market and public transportation. The steps of varying width down from the sidewalk to the apartment was challenging but appears to be the norm for the lower quarters of most of the old houses in this part of the city, so we adjusted to it fairly quickly. Although a refrigerator was provided, some freezer capacity would have been nice to bring back items like ice cream from the grocery to enjoy while in the apartment. But, overall, no real complaints about anything important.
- Nancy (10/5): A cozy apartment filled with old world charm and modern amenitiea! - We loved the location! Easy to walk and stroll through the canals and take any public transportation! It has old world charm with modern amenities! It was lovely to sit and read in the evening and the hosts are very gracious! Nice to feel like we had a home in Amsterdam rather than just a hotel room.
- Tracey (10/5): Amsterdam is glorious and I highly recommend this apartment, which is in a perfect location to access everything you wou - It’s a lovely space, comfortable and spacious, close to public transport (or walking distance for the fit) to access places of interest. The bed was sooo comfortable, instant hot water in the shower, its location on the Amstel Canal was picturesque and serene. The owners were very considerate to ensure I had everything I needed and were quick to respond to my queries. A few steep, narrow steps to gain entry to the apartment gave me a fright when I first arrived as I have a knee injury, however it was manageable. I didn’t have any problem with the low ceiling, though anyone a bit over 180 cm might not have as much clearance.
- Catharine (10/5): We enjoyed our stay - compact and stylish and in a lovely area. The owners were helpful and informative
- Guya (10/5): Great experience and great host - The apartment was very beautiful and clean! And the location was very very good! And Maikel was very available and helped with whatever we needed
- Eli (9/5): Beautiful in and out..... - Great property, nice and quiet, and excellent location. Everything we needed was there, a nice powerful shower and really comfy bed. To top it off the hosts are so lovely and left us some nice treats for their national celebration. We will definitely be booking again next time.
- Joanne (9/5): really great stay lovely host - it was really cosy the bathroom drainage could improve a bit hard not to soak the floor
- Laura (10/5): Unforgettable - Quiet area, close to everything, clean and cosy. Bed & shower are amazing. Amazing place to stay in Amsterdam for a few nights!
Excellent restaurants recommendations made by Maikel and Elio! We went to two of them and had a great time!
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - This was such a perfect place to stay in a great central location! Absolutely beautiful space and the owners were super helpful and quick to reply!
- س (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything about our stay at the studio! It was beautifully decorated in an incredible location. Gorgeous view of the Amstel river and skinny bridge from outside the door. The hosts were responsive and went above to help us enjoy our stay.
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect! :)
- Nikolina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fedor (7/5): Good -
- Sofia (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (10/5): absolutely fantastic - every detail was well thought out, functional but luxurious and beautiful. hosts were responsive and couldn’t do enough for us. they added little touches to make our stay extra special that we will not forget!
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bella (9/5): Amazing!! - It was a beautiful apartment, comfortable and classy. Location was ok, only 25 min walk from centre. And lovely quick responsive hosts. One thing I didn't know of until the day was about the government visiting, would have been nice to know earlier as you had to come in while we were out because we had something booked, maybe just more notice.
And maybe add a TV or speaker to play music as was very quiet inside and the hosts living above, feel like they could hear everything.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (9/5): A perfect hideaway in the busy city - Great location
Lovely hosts
Great value for money nothing!
- Joel (9/5): Enjoyed my stay. - The hosts were very quick to respond. I liked that they gave me a free bottle of Cava to e joy during my stay. The apartment was central to amsterdam and all the activities you would want to do. The bed was comfy. The ceilings are very short. Don't rent this place if you are over siix feet tall. You won't be able to stand up. They did mention something about this in the rental description though. You cannot cook anything in the apartment. The hosts said this is die to zoning of the building or something. The basement apartment has ventilation directly to outside the building to some kind of court yard in the center of the building. Sometimes cigarette smoke drifts in. I just closed the vent to prevent this and then opened it back up when I left.
