Guest Reviews
- Danielle (8/5): Great location - Location
- mark (3/5): -
Enkel inredning men rent o städat. Mycket bekväma sängar. Kaklat badrum.
- Ruth (4/5): Vastly overpriced. - There were tea bags and a coffee machine.
There was hot water.
The central location. We walked everywhere.
The bedding(but not the mattress) floors and surfaces were clean. There was a kitchen table with 4 stools but no chairs or a sofa to sit on.
There are 3 extremely steep flights of stairs to climb, to get to the apartment.
We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the central location meant that there were people shouting in the street until 4 am.
The second night I slept on a mattress on the kitchen floor, at the back of the apartment to get away from the street noise and the mattress was stained with blood and urine.
The bathroom basin is not in the bathroom, but in the kitchen! So you have to clean your teeth etc in the kitchen.
- caroline Douthwaite (8/5): Great - Rustic, charming accommodation not at all corporate. Great experience, very friendly. It's not that I didn't like the stairs, as they are steep & it appears I am out of shape! It is an original feature.
- Darren (10/5): -
- Fraser (9/5): - Lovely quirky building. Fab location and really helpful host. Beds were comfy. Balcony from top room is a nice touch. Not so much didn't like but just point out same as others have: stairs are steep, rwisting and narrow. Top bedroom is roof apex, my husband is 6'4" and could stand up in centre of room but had to be careful.
- Stefano (9/5): -
- Miranda (4/5): The owner was lovely and very responsive. The location is great. However the flat is on a very old building and is not c - The location is excellent. The apartment is not well laid out and there is no where comfortable to sit. The bathroom is functional only. The shower hardly works and the sink is in the hall. The stairs to get to the apartment are very narrow and steep.
- Ahmet (5/5): -
- Carl (10/5): Lovely and would definitely stay again when visiting Amsterdam - Ideal location and lovely inside. The hostess was also very nice and helpful Not applicable

- Laura (8/5): Great stay! Lovely host, perfect location. Lots of stairs, but worth it! - I had a lovely stay in this charming apartment!
The host was incredibly kind and helpful, always available and welcoming. The location is truly excellent — close to everything and very convenient.
Just a heads-up: be prepared for quite a few steep stairs, as there’s no elevator. But honestly, the great location and the host’s hospitality more than make up for it. Highly recommended!
- Damian (10/5): Amsterdam stay - Location of flat, comfortable beds, cleanliness. Friendliness of the lady who showed us where everything was Nothing. Everything was great
- Morag (7/5): -

- George (10/5): Excellent apartment, awesome location, stairs were fine but perhaps not for the older bods - Loved the location, the balcony and the quirky layout The shower could be better and the beds were a bit passed their prime but very clean and the host is lovely
- Luke (8/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic, Great location, Cosy and has everything you need for a stay in Amsterdam :) - We have had the best time, the bed, the extra space outside of which you can smoke (Such a Bonus) with good views and listening to the church bells was lovely, it makes you feel like your living as a part of the city, the privacy was fantastic, everything we needed in the kitchen all appliances available and the Wonderful added touch of a coffee machine and tea and coffee and sugar supplied Fantastic, Great location, Lovely Hostess, this little place is a hidden treasure, cosy and warm, with the great stairs leading to the apartment at the top, not too bad to climb at all, security lights all the way up, shower room is a wet room, drys very quick after use, and towels supplied we were out all day full days so only used it as a base but for breakfast and sleep quality it was fantastic, Booking again for Feb for my Birthday, lovely highly recommend :)
- victoria (8/5): -
- Chris (10/5): - Location and privacy
- Chris (8/5): Straight forward and comfortable accomdation for a short stay. - There was only one key which was not a problem for my very short stay but would potentially have been a problem if we had stayed longer.
- Irina (7/5): Great location with proximity to all main attractions - Location, separate bedrooms, traditional old Dutch property Kitchen utensils availability, extremely steep stairs, outdated and not sufficient equipment in the kitchen, not possible to cook anything beyond boiling eggs.
- Andrzej (10/5): Wspaniałe miejsce :) - Super lokalizacja, klimatyczne miejsce.
- luyckx (8/5): - Accueil excellent
Logement propre
Fonctionnement
Conforme à la description Escalier trop raide

- Rowlands (10/5): -
- Gokhan (7/5): -
- Conyers (10/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): Great location and still ok value - better than pictures - Great location
- Antoine (5/5): Passable - Liked the location a lot Amsterdam accommodation is extremely over priced
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Amber (9/5): Very close and Convenient and lovely staff - How close to the central and dam square Stairs 😅
- Constanze (9/5): Very nice - The aesthetic Interior, the friendly host, the spacious location, clean It’s not cheap, as most of the locations in Amsterdam
- Tejas (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (8/5): Over all it is a great stay for the price and location. - The property management was very responsive. We arrived at the apartment a little early, she met us within minutes of our arrival to give keys and show us the place. During the stay all request were handled quickly. Service was great.
The location is perfect, loved the area. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes etc. nearby. Walking to central station was easy also. Carrying luggage up the narrow winding stairs was a challenge. The stairs are not bad empty handed, just difficult with luggage.
The noise from outside was loud inside the apartment. Late at night, if people would walk by having normal conversations, it was loud enough to be woken up.
- Denise (3/5): Disappointing. It is called a bed and breakfast. There was no breakfast and the beds were old and completely worn out. - Location was excellent and property a period building. Beds were old and lame and very uncomfortable. Bedding and towels were old and worn. Very unpleasant.
- Theresa (7/5): A steep climb to the top. - The location was amazing and the owner very kind and responsive. The stairs were really difficult to deal with. Steep and narrow especially if you bring a big bag.
- Donaldson (9/5): Superb -
- Bernard (1/5): Awful would never stay here again - Near dam square Everything no tv steep steps no sofa tired furniture
- Sophie (7/5): Great location makes up for the involuntary glutes training and minor shortcomings for a short stay! - The location is amazing, and the host was incredibly accommodating—she went out of her way to meet us early and let us leave our bags, which made things much easier. Overall, she was very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The cleanliness was alright... The three flights of stairs are a workout, so be prepared for your glutes to feel the burn! Lastly, there was occasionally a strange undertone in the air, like insect repellent (or maybe it was just in my nose). All in all, it was a decent stay with some quirks.
- Ihar (9/5): Superb -
- Jin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Berkin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberta (8/5): Very good - Very central. Easy to get cabs. SUPER narrow stairs up 3 flights. Only 1 key for 3 people, which was a bit tricky.
- William (6/5): Good location, not luxury but ok if you don’t want to spend much time relaxing inside - Location was great
Host was nice, little bit flexible but not significantly No sofa or lounge space
Horrible steps / stairs
Windows and doors are a bit fragile and blow open
- Martin (9/5): Great price and location. Exactly what we needed for our 2 night stay. - Great price and location. Roof terrace was most welcome.
Full size fridge. Nespresso machine, prefered it over a hotel stay. Shower not the best.
- Paulina (8/5): Lovely stay with friends - Lovely apartment with roof terrace and kitchen, very friendly staff, comfy beds, great location and good value for money! Just the steep stairs to the third floor, it wasn't a problem for us as we had small luggage, but at the same time those are one of the charming quirks we find in Amsterdam :)
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irma (5/5): Great location but access to property is very difficult - The location was great. Very noisy area. The apartment was very difficult to access, there were 3 sets of stairs to access, all of them very narrow and dangerous. One of our family members fell over. The access is not suitable for children, old family memeber and people with disabilities. This should have been specified on the property description.
- Askin (7/5): Good -
- Joana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Arnie (10/5): Exceptional - It is great and easy to access. Welcoming staff.
- Yuri (7/5): Good -
- Elsa (7/5): Good -
- Dante (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (5/5): Great location, but it is significantly overpriced - Great location! The amount of steep stairs, the bathroom, the layout.
- Steven (6/5): Good location - Location was excellent. Rooms nice Quite noisy road. Hotel didn't answer phone when we rang several times
- Prajwal (6/5): The stay was fine - Location We weren’t informed about which floor the stay was located and the shower job was broken. Even room doors dint had proper locks and handle
- Olivia (7/5): Atmospheric little place, felt authentic but not for elderly or kids due to hazardous stairs. - Location, character Stairs very steep. Decor a bit tired
- Sylvester (5/5): Passable - outside balcony no mirror
no heating
no water on last day
- Anzhelika (8/5): Very good -
- Vanessa (10/5): Stay was perfect - Location was excellent. Host was excellent. Roof terrace and access to property excellent. Stairs were steep but not unexpected. Knew prior to arrival.
- Anonymous (4/5): We had a great three days in Amsterdam. Lots of different places we could go to from the appointment, great coffee house - Great location, right in the best area for unique shops and all the tourist attractions. Three flights of very steep, spiralling stairs, very difficult with luggage.
Photos need updating as the apartment was not as seen on booking. The place was tired and needed updating.
- Horst (9/5): Superb - Very central place and nice old building perfectly renovated.
- Aleksander (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Saeed (8/5): Only 5 minutes from Dam Square. Great places to eat and drink only a stones throw away. - Perfect location only 5 minutes from Dam Square. Quiet area with loads of retro shops on your doorstep as well as some great places to eat and drink only a stones throw away. Every facility is in the apartment to enable a great stay. Stairs are steep to the property so not really suitable for pensioners. Apartment is on the third floor but has adequate lighting to enable seeing where you are going. Great for the price though.
- Abdulaziz (1/5): i don’t recommend this property at all!! sleep on the street much better - nothing at all !!
maybe the location was “fine” we didnt like the space its very tight and small to move inside. it’s like living in a bird nest
too many tight stairs to go all the way up for our nest
we didn”t even complete our stay, we left from the second day, we supposed to stay 3 nights.
TV was broken, the sink was outside the bathroom, place wasn’t clean and full of dust and we went check out early to move to other hotel we had couple injuries while carrying down our luggages.
- Joanne (5/5): Ok but could have been better - location great
Good example of Dutch Houses
Some Appliances provided
Privacy Too noisy
Told there was a tv and it did not work
Host a little dismissive when told about tv
No breakfast provided yet called Bed and Breakfast 9 Streets
When handing in keys no one replied to door so posted keys through letter box
- Omri-simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Savas (10/5): small bur perfect - its in the central of Amsterdam. the owner was helpful, excellent and she ordered us drinks and food :) we loved her so much. the stairs are very steep. rooms are very narrow. but I guess that's how it is everywhere in amsterdam. That's why I'm not writing these for complaint purposes.
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Eddy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (8/5): Great location in the heart of Amsterdam - Checking in was a little tough. Parking was difficult - we finally found a space down the street and walked back to the apartment. Owner was friendly and after checking in recommended another parking area 25 minutes way to save money, but we just stayed parked in the closer space.
Location was perfect in the heart of all the Amsterdam action and the apartment was interesting and quirky. parking was tough - stairs steep (but totally manageable without suitcases).
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Jemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiffany (5/5): Passable - The location was great. It was very hard to get to the apartment the stairs were extremely narrow and dangerous. It was impossible to bring and luggage with you.
- Elena (10/5): Great location !!! -
- Jamal (4/5): Prime location, zero comfort - the only good thing was it’s location, everything is a short walk away very cramped, no lounge area only a kitchen table, the beds was just a mattress on top of another mattress (no bed frame), stairs were very steep, not a lot of places for our own chargers, and the restaurant downstairs was never open
- Saira (7/5): was very lovely and would definitely consider staying here again! :D - it had everything you needed, was very clean, really comfortable beds and was super central for easy sightseeing. the host was really so lovely and accommodating also! if you’re bringing a big case just be warned that there’s very minimal space for a 23kg case, you’d have to pop it in the kitchen. the stairs are also quite steep and narrow and you’re on the third floor with no lift. these things didn’t impact our stay at all but definitely worth keeping in mind for those with mobility issues!
- David (5/5): Passable - Location Only one set of keys. This was very restrictive as our party was twp groups and when one person wanted to go home we all had to meet up again and collect the key.
- Mustafa (7/5): Good -
- Fahad (6/5): Average - location is excellent a bit too small and the stairs are painfull and not suitable for old people. also very difficult if you have a lot of luggage
- Fiona (5/5): Passable - Communicative owners. Amazing location clean space and renovated. Way to expensive for what it is. Charged us extra upon arrival.
