Guest Reviews
- Eugenio (8/5): - Great location, clean, comfortable The neighbours were a bit loud
- Ines (10/5): - The location is fantastic. The owners are very nice and helpful. Everything is clean, tidy, and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience to spend the days in Amsterdam on a houseboat. We can recommend it to everyone.
- Patricia (6/5): It's okay - Good location, decent bed and the room was quite clean. Coffee, coffee maker, cooktop and fridge are a nice touch. There is no A/C, which we knew, but the windows don't open. Very hot in the room. One of the skylights opens but has no way to block bugs so when it's open at night the room gets dozens of flying bugs inside. Plus, it felt unsafe to have it open while sleeping because of who-knows-what being able to fly into or crawl into the room. There are 2 fans which we ran non-stop when in the room.
The bathroom could use a ceiling light because the lighted mirror makes sort-of a glow not really putting out much light. A corner shelf of some sort in the shower would be great because now you have to put shampoo, soap, etc on the floor.

- Jessispi007 (9/5): Central and cozy houseboat - The accommodation was very centrally located and beautifully furnished. We slept well in the comfortable beds, and the space was pleasantly sized with good amenities. It was a new experience for us—our first time staying on a houseboat, with narrow stairs that added a bit of a sporty challenge! We would definitly book it again! The only thing that could be improved is the outdoor area; the access could be made more appealing by enhancing the grass and the bench outside.
- Donna (9/5): What a fun way to experience Amsterdam! - Excellent location, unique property Towels were due to be replaced with something softer, a good investment...
- Ishbel (10/5): Loved it, thanks Casper! - Live like a local in the heart of Amsterdam. Quirky and historic boat living alongside a community of amsterdammers. As the owner lived next door we were cautious about playing music as we didn’t want to disturb him. There was another group of friends staying on the other side of us in the boat and they threw cigarette ends all over the outside area.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location to everything, the host Casper was brilliant, made us feel very welcome and made sure everything was okay for us. Was very happy with everything.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Never get off the boat........ - Handy for central station and the centrum and jordaan districts but in a quiet location. Casper was a most welcoming host. The studo has good cooking facilities and a big fridge. Everything you need. The bathroom door was a bit noisy and quite hard to close quietly, not anything to ruin your stay.
- Samir (9/5): I enjoyed my stay. - Very nice and different. Excellent host. There is nothing that I didn’t like.
- Vivienne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neal (8/5): Very good - Facilities to enjoy a 4 night stay. Kitchen had most of the things that you want and need to cook. Beds comfy.owner is a good guy and wants your stay to be perfect It's a boat, I get it. But small porthole windows. Shower small . Could benefit with a microwave and paper towels. Noise from the apartment next door because the entry door to the shared apartments needs to be closed hard.
- Sherry (7/5): An enjoyable stay in Amsterdam in an unique abode. - Unique canal boat, in a great location. A super shower and clean, altho more towels would have been appreciated. Quiet enough and the beds were comfortable if small. Quite hot days and the fans did help a little.
Caspar was friendly and helpful. No view, closed covered windows/ portholes, and quite small, so was claustrophobic for me. Had higher expectations of a more picturesque boat.
- Emma (7/5): Location Is Fantastic - Location was fantastic There was no microwave, oven or washing facilities. Travellers would appreciate an iron and there wasn't one.
- Cassiej (9/5): Traditional canal boat experience - Amazing location. Loved the opportunity to see and stay on a canal boat. Everything was within walking distance and very close to central station Was a little stuff at times, but the supplied fans helped out a lot
- Angela (1/5): The surrounding was terrible , bad smell from outside, so we had to close the windows - The situacion All the rest
- Ruth (5/5): Fair - Not applicable re breakfast
Not a very nice location Not a very convenient location
Poor bed linen and pillows
No tv
- Nicole (3/5): If you're a heavy sleeper and don't travel by car, this might work for you, but not for me. - Being in walking distance of the town. There were two "apartments" and the people in the other one, were very loud, slamming doors 'til almost midnight, talking on their phones late at night in the little hallway in front of my door. You could hear almost everything, so much for trying to get a good nights sleep. Also outside noise is very loud, so if you're looking for something quiet, this isn't it. The shower-wand was not able to hang up on it's little holder, so you had to hand hold it during the shower, trying to wash long hair like that was a pain. They provided a hair dryer, but no outlet in the bathroom, so I had to sit on the bed to dry my hair, interesting. Also I thought the heat was regulated on the radiators, which were turned up all the way, but the (small) room was still freezing at night, thank God there was another blanket. Also parking was an absolute disaster. When I originally booked this room I was told parking was available for €25 a night, so I thought it was on site. Two days before I asked again about parking and was quoted the same price and then found out, parking was on the other side of the water and I should try to make a reservation. Online Reservations weren't possible and the price was actually €37.50 a night. They do have parking up front at 7.50 an hour and when I asked the host about reduced parking possibilities for his guests he said that wasn't possible. So if you're planing on visiting this city by car, I'd try to find a place with parking, 'cause the walk to the garage is about 10-15 min. Anyway, the host came outside when he saw me loading the car ( you better do that quickly before the ticket police shows up ) and asked how everything was. I told him about the other guests and he said I should've told him, he would've addressed it, but at arrival he mentioned something about not being there, so I never went to look for him. Misunderstanding on my part.
- Corinne (8/5): very nice stay for 3 days we went to a boat trip on Amsterdam Channels, Keukenhof and Zandam mills, - Very well located near central station and CAsper who welcome us is a very nice person . He gave us his support for the questions we asked him. I recommend Just a warning, The appartement is on a boat, then when windy few noises due to the movement of the boat may disturb you during the night , it 's better to bring ear plug.
- Gurnam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): great location, very nice owner, clean and comfortable room with bathroom/shower and kitchen/fridge -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (6/5): Really enjoyable - Excellent location
- John (7/5): Excellent host, great location and fair price. - location is excellent for all of the tourist traps, tours and transportation No TV, felt a little damp but it is a canal boat.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Shane (8/5): Nice host, great position and comfortable boat - Location Nothing
- Richard (8/5): Friendly host and great location. - it’s not far from the station and main area.
The host is friendly and informative. he gave us some great restaurant recommendations.
- Svetlana (5/5): Passable - Friendly host and great location. We were going to celebrate my son's birthday in Amsterdam, he was 16 years old.
The day before arrival, I asked the owner to give bedding on the sofa so as not to sleep next to my son. I was denied.
Upon arrival, the apartment did not have not only shampoo and shower gel, but even hand soap.
One night I woke up from heavy rain and lightning, water poured straight from the ceiling. I didn’t know how to close the window at the top of the boat. It turns out that I needed a special stick, which I found out about 5 hours after contacting support.
But the problem was that the water passed in another place with the window closed, and everything dripped directly onto the floor. Unfortunately, Gasper came to help only at 18.30 in the evening, all this time it was "raining" in the apartment. Thanks to the owner for sweet snacks, even though we don't eat sweets
