Guest Reviews
- Simona (8/5): - Beliggenhet 10/10.

- Gemma (8/5): Amazing! - Location was incredible - within walking distance to so many attractions! There were a few bits in the accommodation that are in need of repair. It didn’t affect our stay but would significantly improve the overall look of the accommodation.
The windows did not close fully and there was a lot of noise throughout the night.

- Annie (8/5): - De locatie was perfect. Mooie ruime kamers.
- James (9/5): Weekend in August - Located very close to a metro and a train station meant it was easy to get around Barcelona and all attractions. Very close to Ramblas and Port/Beach/Gothic Quarter. There are lots of great restaurants on the back streets across the main road. The accommodation is really nice if you like high ceilings and beams giving a feeling of space. Three double rooms.. There are two single beds per room. One is soft, one firmer which may be deliberate so guests have a choice. The kitchen is well equipped. Busy on the square below, so some noise late evening. Mini-marts and a bakery on the doorstep for breakfast provisions. Nothing.
- Mattia (8/5): - Buona posizione, 10 min dalla spiaggia, vicina ai musei, staff fantastico Su alcune cose non era proprio pulita

- Jennifer (7/5): Cute space and everything we needed - Good location. Loved the rooftop terrace. Good amount of space. There were several flights of steep stairs that were dark when we arrived. There was also a good amount of noise from the street.
- Trevor (6/5): Pleasant - To many stairs
- Karine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joshua (10/5): Great apartment, great location, great price - Apartment was really clean and comfortable. Was a ten minute walk from the Ramblas but that meant it was a nice walk through the gothic quarter each day. Not too far of a walk to port Olympic either. Couple of the bedrooms didn’t have air conditioning so it got quite warm, but that could just be that we are soft and from the north of England so are used to being cold
- Sabrina (5/5): Passable - The location was good. Walkable distance to markets, shopping, port, beach The apartment can sleep 7, not enough seating in lounge area, furniture looking shabby, some kitchen equipment needs attention.
- Victoria (7/5): Good - You had to meet the management in a separate location to pick up the keys. This was a 30 min metro/12 min taxi to the apartment. Imagine traveling for hours with all your luggage just to have to move yourself to one location to another -- was overall super inconvenient.
- Vanessa (9/5): Great stay great location , would book again . - Lovely old building, plenty of space , nice hot showers and good kitchen facilities. Location is great for the gothic quarter and Metro, mainline stations and buses all outside. Would definitely book again There are a lot of stairs to the higher apartments, not a problem for me but maybe to other people.
Collection the keys from another area wasn’t ideal and could be easily resolved with a key safe.
- Suzannah (9/5): Perfect - Beautiful spacious apartment. Perfect location for seeing the sights and close to all amenities. Great communication from host regarding arrival. Had everything we needed to cater for ourselves and walking distance to great restaurants. Lovely rooftop terrace which would be fantastic in summer. Just perfect for a short break and would definitely return The only slight downside was it was rather noisy outside at times and not very soundproof. But this cannot be helped and was due to the traditional-ness of the apartment. In no way caused anyone problems
- Baiba (7/5): Good -
- Claire (6/5): Christmas family time, in enjoyable Barcelona - Location was ok, a bit noisy the first night when the bins were emptied right outside the window. The apartment was a good size accommodating 5 of us When collecting the keys the host tried to charge us for a late check in with payment in cash. The details we had been sent advised a late check in was after 9pm, we arrived before 9pm, not a great welcome!
- Joanne (8/5): Great for a family stay - Location was brilliant The sofa bed in the lounge wasn’t that comfortable for a tall adult
- Ana (6/5): Nice apartment, that need some care and new furniture. - Location and decoration Bad beds; few blankets
- Piotr (5/5): Passable - localization, separate rooms, two toilets, rooftop cleanliness, quality of interior, visible dust, damaged furniture and interiors
- Audrey (6/5): Pleasant - The location was convenient for the Born district and the seafront. If the weather had been better we would have probably used the terrace The stairs were challenging (70 in total) and very narrow - especially with our luggage. I do not recall seeing any indication in the apartment information about this
Despite being high up the apartment was quite noisy during the night, with a lot of street noise.
The check in process took longer than anticipated despite having contacted the property on the number provided to advise on the time of our arrival. It was apparently the "wrong" number
- Beata (8/5): Nice apartment in great location - Great location, lovely rooftop patio, spacious rooms, it had everything we needed Lots of stairs to climb but there’s a warning about, we just didn’t expect it to be that much 🙃squeaky beds and the painting on wall was giving me nightmares but that just my personal opinion
- Kate (7/5): Authentic, fun in Barcelona city. - El Pintor worked well for our family. We loved how close we were to the city, beaches, railway station, great restaurants and bars . The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. The roof top was a great place to sit, look and plan our days. The staircase was a killer!! And the apartment and rooftop were a little to rustic and could do with some TLC.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Boricua7890 (8/5): Peaceful, near pretty much everthing, Pleasant! - The property was an older building, so we got to experience a full Barcelona experience. It had a roof top terrace which a had a good view! It was nice and cozy. That we were put up in the 5th floor and the property does not have an elevator. Again, it's an older building so lots of stairs to climb. We don't blame the property, we should have fully read the description, in which I'm sure lists the fact that there isn't an elevator, however we failed to do so. I wouldn't recommend it to someone with lots of luggages/baggages, staying on 4th or 5th floor. If your a backpacker or a fitness person then it's a breeze. However, there is always a positive! Even though we weren't aware that the unit was on the 5th floor and we did travel heavy it prepared us to take-on the 300 steps at the leaning tower os Pisa. We stayed in Barcelona 3 days before our cruise and we were going up and down those 79 steps, in those 3 days, to the 5th floor like champs!! If your staying on the 5th floor there are a few more steps to get to the roof top.
- Jason (9/5): Superb - It was good Everything was good
- Alvin (9/5): epic - superb location 10 minutes from the beach and 2 minutes to the tube lots and lots of stairs, not enough equipment for 5 staying- cups, cutlery etc
- Catrina (10/5): Exceptional - Location and cleanliness was first class The staircase, very daunting at night. Also, no plugs in either kitchen or bathroom sinks so washing face and dishes was more difficult and a lot of water was wasted.
- Andrea (6/5): A place to stay but nothing special. Would not recommend to friends. - Location was great and the terrace was a nice spot to gather and relax. More run down than shown online. Not really any sitting area for our group of 6.
The person we spoke to on the phone was pleasant and helpful but her colleague, who met us at the apartment clearly viewed us as an inconvenience. She also overcharged us 33 euros on the city tax which we paid for in cash.
- Jean-marc (8/5): Beautiful City. Will definitely return - Location was top tier and loved the Terrace on the roof. It did leak in one of the rooms when it rained. If you’re not fit, those stairs will kill you or stop you from wanting to leave. Regardless I’d still book again for the right price
- Burden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suecr (9/5): Lovely quirky apartment - Good value, reasonable facilities, the roof terrace is lovely, beds were comfy, spacious lounge with small but useful kitchen. Bedrooms have air con.
Great location with easy access to the old city, Picasso museum harbour area as well as the bus routes.
2 minute walk to the train station.
Located overlooking a lovely square, set away from the main routes, so nice and quiet. Liked it all but be warned there are 4/5 sets of stairs to climb (no lift as it's a traditional spainish apartment block).
- Kuhn (9/5): Perfect location in Barcelone. Rooftop with sunset view was amazing. - Location, apartments space and style, rooftop.
- Inga (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (8/5): loved Barcelona and we will definitely be back - good location, nice roof top terrace to sit and chill the stairs up to the top apartment
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Zoe (10/5): would definitely recommend and use it again - fantastic location steep staircase
