• Glynn (6/5): Clean and good location but very unreasonable owners - The place itself was nice and the view was stunning, but we had a few run ins with the owners. I don’t think anyone was in the wrong, just that they were being unreasonable. The second night we came back to enjoy the view with 2 of our friends from back home. It was 10pm so we were keeping it down. The owners came up and told us to get out because it’s not allowed. There’s a *house rules* sign on the wall that says you’re allowed guests in for 3 hours- it is written in the booklet thing though, but it was NEVER stated when the owner was talking about the house rules in person. As our 2 friends were leaving, the owner was trying to argue with them, and was clearly picking fights. They told us to leave and we did- I think it’s completely unreasonable to try to talk to them when again, it’s not their fault at all. And the owners wife had the audacity to say we were disrespectful for simply leaving when asked and apologising for not reading the last page of the booklet. After that it kind of changed our view on the holiday.
• robert (8/5): Great spot near the old town with fab views - Great views over Dubrovnik and the terrace is great. An uphill walk from the old town but not too far. Lots of room in the apartment. Also the bikers bar is just below the apartment which is great for morning coffee and evening drink. Lots of stairs but worth it for the views.
• Joe (10/5): Beautiful city and great host. Highly recommend staying here. - Ivan met us at the apartment and helped carry our luggage upstairs. He also helped carry it down when we checked out. Because the building was old, there is no elevator so you have to walk up 96 stairs.

Clean and comfortable stay and loved sitting out on the balcony admiring the lovely view. Ivan was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to stay when visiting Dubrovnik. • Debra (10/5): A great few days in a beautiful location. - Great location about 10-12 minutes walk from the Old Town. Absolutely beautiful views from the terrace looking out over the sea to Lokrum. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Nothing we didn’t like.

• Troy (9/5): Excellent Views and Location - The views of Old Town Dubrovnik is what stands this apartment out as exceptional. We spent many evenings eating dinner and enjoying a drink on the balcony overlooking the old town and watching the sunset. Inside the apartment is very comfortable for two persons with everything supplied to make a stay very easy. Supermarket located just in front of apartment for all your daily needs was very handy. Host meet us with keys and showed us round the apartment on arrival. Definately worth the stay. Not saying we didn't like it as we were able to manage the stairs whilst here and they are definately needed to give you the outstanding view, but strictly for informative purposes there many stairs to climb as the apartment is on the top floor of the building with no lift, something to consider if stairs are not your thing.

• Dinesh Kumar (8/5): Great, lovely hosts and and amazing view. - Room was spacious with a Kitchen and balcony. Great location, Amazing view from the balcony. Lovely and helpful hosts. No toiletries were available in the bathroom. Airconditioning is available in the living room, bed side there was no AC. Need to take lots of stairs to reach the apartment, but on other side the view is great, so no issues🙂.
• Mary (10/5): Superb apartment - Fantastic apartment, had everything and the large balcony was a great addition. Lovely to sit out in the morning for breakfast. The best thing about the apartment was the bed! I have never slept so well on holidays. The mattress and mattress topper ensured a comfy sleep. I have trouble with my hips and back and by the end of a holiday I look forward to coming home to get a good nights sleep with no pain. I didn't have this problem here. Just unreal and I can honestly say I didn't want to come home! The best apartment I have ever stayed in. Will 100% be back A bit of noise from the nearby road but you only hear this if out in the balcony. After a day you get used to it. I live in the countryside so probably a bit more sensitive to noise than other people.

• Emma (7/5): Good apartment with amazing view. - Very good location, just behind a supermarket and cafe and an easy(ish) walking route if you don’t want to tackle loads of steps. Lovely balcony with a fantastic view and fairly quiet. Apartment was a good size, has a kitchen with a fridge and small stove, had a kettle, coffee machine and other appliances. Bed was fairly comfy however it made a lot of noise with movement that woke us up in the night. Hosts were very nice and arranged transport to and from the airport for us and offered us advice on things to do during our stay. It was the start of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the fireworks on the first night were opposite the apartment so we got the most amazing show from the balcony. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Dubrovnik for a 3rd time! 20 steps up to the front door then 8 flights up to the room we were staying in (the very top of the apartment block) so a decent level of fitness is required. The bathroom is small and the shower is a tray with a shower curtain which is annoying when you can’t shower without it touching you!

• Aleksandra (8/5): Stunning views - We booked the apartment because of its stunning views. Relatively close to the the old town. The host was really nice and accommodating.
• Jordan (9/5): Incredible view - The views were incredible. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was super nice as well. The apartment was huge, even had a spare bedroom. Ivan was a great host. He let us park our rented car in his own garage (20€) as you can’t park anywhere unless you’re a resident or want to pay mega bucks for the parking lot near the old town. He helped us with our bags and was always available if we needed anything. There’s a lot of stairs up to the top floor of the building but the views were 100% worth it!

• Claire (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful apartment, the location is perfect for exploring Dubrovnik, but quiet at night! About 10 minutes walk down to either the cable car or the city. Gorgeous views, and has everything you could need for your stay. Was so clean, the bed really comfortable, sun loungers outside, shower great. Honestly can't fault it, and if we return to Dubrovnik, it will be our first choice.
• Arnaud (9/5): Perfect location and terrace with a stunning view - The view is outstanding, over the old town and the sea, beautiful from sunrise to sunset and then at night too! Plus you can enjoy it from a large terrasse, reading a book or having lunch or dinner! The location is perfect, peaceful and authentic neighborhood but 5 min to the touristy, old center. Right across a grocery store ans restaurant. The terrace would have been perfect with a couple transats. You need to not mind stairs.
• Clare (9/5): We will be back! - Communication with the host was prompt, efficient and welcoming. He has been very accommodating. The photos and description are spot-on. We were greeted by Ivan who was friendly and helpful and spent time with us on arrival to help us get our bearings and made some excellent recommendations and always on hand to answer questions. The view is EXCEPTIONAL. Arguably the best view of the old town available. The terrace is sunny most of the day and is great for watching the sunset. There's a nearby supermarket (note- not open on Sunday) with an excellent bakery and a friendly bar. The town is within a few minutes walk and the cable car is just up the road. We were picked up for a day trip outside the bar and the airport shuttle leaves from the cable car stop. Really only the stairs! But without them we wouldn't have the view. It's best to know in advance that there are 9 flights so we were pleased we only had hand luggage ;-)

It was clean and had everything you needed. And the view is even better than it looks into the photos. Also had great working aircon. I would highly recommend this place.
• Ailish (4/5): Very average - The host who met us was very nice and friendly and helpful There’s 95 steps to get to the property. I would not have booked it if I had known. There is a balcony which is the best thing about the property but the lady downstairs isn’t please if you sit out to enjoy the views or so we felt. The unit is very dark and dated. There is no cooker or toaster so limited ability to cook if you were reliant on the kitchen.

• Donna (10/5): Two thumbs up for Apartment Novak - The most stunning view, as per the photos! Sitting on the patio (only one neighbouring patio) with such an expanse of sea, watching boats and ships, sipping wine, looking down at the Old Town -good for the soul! There are sun loungers but August sun and pale Irish skin... Others would benefit from them. The air con was a life saver, the bed large and extremely comfortable. Plenty of hot water and we drank the tap water. Small hairdryer provided, as were towels, soap, shower gel, lots of toilet paper, bed linen, tea towel, wash up liquid and scrub, bin bags and some condiments like oil and salt. Lots of wardrobe space with hangers. Comfortable sofa with TV. We took our fire stick for viewing during the hottest hours. The beach is very close (lots of steps) and it was fabulous to dip into the water and be able to be back in the apartment in minutes. Supermarket and cafe bar a stone's throw away. A fast food outlet is a short walk, very handy for our late arrival from the airport on day 1. A short walk to the Old Town. We enjoyed Castello restaurant and for night life, on one night, we went to one of The Gaff Irish bars where there was live music and a good crowd and the Kellie Harrington fight showing. The apartment is in a lovely quiet residential area. Drivers can be fast and loud at times. Host was very nice and helpful. Met us on arrival and departure and organised airport transfers. Seamless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment. Difficult to say anything negative. We got by but be aware that the kitchen area is very small. Sink, two ring hob, fridge and kettle. Cutlery, saucepans etc provided. No toaster but we made toast in a frying pan. No microwave. If you like breakfast tea, take teabags from home.

Ivan was very helpful with advice on things to do and places to visit. The sofa and other furniture in the living area could be updated. The sofa is not very comfortable, but since we spent most of the time on the terrace, this did not bother us unduly.

• Outwithjamie (9/5): Fabulous views of sea and old Dubrovnik town. - Good sized studio apartment with a fabulous terrace and great views overlooking the sea and old town Dubrovnik. The apartment is fairly basic but has most things you need for a comfortable stay and is very well located within walking distance of a beach and the old city itself. The host met us on arrival and was friendly and helpful happy to answer any questions we had.

The terrece was spacious and the be was comfortable. the apartment had enough room for 3 people, The smell in the bathroom. The toilet is older and there is a smell from the bowl.

• Penny (10/5): Beautiful Views. Clean and comfortable. - The apartment is within walking distance to a beach and the Fort. It wasn't a problem for us but be aware that you have to climb lots of stairs to get back and forth. Beautiful deck with great views. Very clean and comfortable. There is a store close by to stock up on food if you want. It is on a busy street so if you have the sliders open it gets noisy pretty early in the morning.

• Vicky (10/5): Beautiful city and great hosts. - The location was perfect for us, situated 10 min or so outside the city walls we had a stunning view from the balcony. But be warned there are lots of steps involved, not only in the apartment building but the city as well. Only met Ivan but he was more than helpful, kind and generous. Nothing, well maybe air con was bit noisy for sleeping so we turned it off then.

The view was amazing, bed was comfortable, patio was great, neighborhood was quiet, market was just down the street. Overall we loved our stay and highly recommend this property. We had a bit of trouble connecting to wifi, however, we were rarely in the room so it wasn’t a big deal.

Novak apartments is a very very good place to stay in while visiting Dubrovnik.

• Elizabeth (8/5): spectacular views over Dubrovnik from this apartment - great location a short walk from the old town, a short but steep walk to the town beach and a minute’s walk to a small supermarket. Fabulous views. The host was very helpful In accommodating our early arrival and booking us a taxi at the end of our stay. Nothing to dislike particularly although for the price, the bedding was a little elderly and it would have been nice to have a welcome pack rather than just a list of rules.

• Matt (10/5): Dubrovnik apt with large terrace - Wonderful hosts and apartment. Beautiful view, and quiet area.very nice, large terrace. Directly above Banje beach, and short walk to old town. Plenty of stairs, but that is everywhere in Dubrovnik. Much prefer this area over old town or lapad. This is where all the newer, hi end hotels are. Probably wouldn't stay here in height of summer, as west facing rooms get full sun.
