• Anna (10/5): Polecam - Znakomita lokalizacja, praktycznie przy bramie Pile, przy wejściu do Fort Lovrjenac, blisko piekarnia, informacja turystyczna. Wskazówki od właścicieli były bardzo czytelne i pomocne, kontakt bezproblemowy i szybki. Mieszkanie małe ale komfortowe dla dwóch osób, w kuchni kawa, herbata, cukier itp. W nocy było chłodno. W kuchni zamontowany jest klimatyzator jednak nam nie udało się uruchomić ciepłego nawiewu. Niestety nie ma kołdry, do przykrycia się tylko prześcieradło i ewentualnie koc, co być może latem sprawdza się znakomicie jednak pod koniec kwietnia jest to zdecydowanie za mało. W szafie był dodatkowy jednak zapach delikatnej wilgoci trochę nas zniechęcił do skorzystania.

• sarah (10/5): fantastic location and well equipped apartment, highly recommend - the apartment was exactly as it was described in the booking description. the location was fantastic, close to the water, restaurants and the old town on Dubrovnik. it was spotlessly clean and had a fantastic shower with multiple heads lol. picking up the keys from the key box meant it didn't matter what time our bus got in nothing but be aware there are 2 steps right inside the door so can be a bit tricky if you don't realise they are there while you are finding the light switch in the dark lol

• Jack (10/5): Cosy apartment in great location. - Hosts provided lots of information regarding local restaurants, things to do, general tips, etc. Keys are accessible via lockbox at the address, no one is there to greet you, which is fine for us. If you had any questions, they were an email or phone call away. Great location, right next to the west harbour and a short walk to the Pile Gate. The apartment was just what we needed, very clean, with working AC. The bathroom had a fancy modern shower. There was also a clothes rail to hang wet garments, which was nice, and needed as we made use of the close proximity to the west harbour many times.
• Protyush (10/5): Exceptional - We(me and my wife) loved our stay in apartment soul of the town! The location was fantastic, apartment was spacious and clean. But above all, the hosts were amazingly helpful and prompt to reply. Price is a bit high but understandable considering the price hike in Dubrovnik around old town and the location just at the old town entrance near pile gate. Couldn’t help ourselves to rate it as 10/10. Would highly recommend.

• Anne (10/5): Amazing location - Cute well equipped comfy apartment. Location AMAZING! Next to an amazing bay and 1min from pile gate- entrance to old town. Allows you to avoid the tour groups and enjoy early morning and evening. I had the bay to myself from 7-9am in June. Also ate at the restaurant on the corner which was lovely and reasonably priced for Dubrovnik. Everything was great- I couldn’t get the tv to work but didn’t try too hard as I was only going to check news..

The couch was not very comfortable and we often bumped our heads on the timber surrounds. Cor can be a bit noisy during the day but is quiet at night
• Maureen (10/5): A home from home - As described previously; this is a peaceful little gem not far from the Pile Gate. It has only a few steps from the main footpath down to its own corridor literally a side street away from "The Kop" bar. The apartment was ideal for the two of us. The shower pressure was great with 24/7 hot water. The TV had several apps downloaded but we had difficulty in selecting the English log in version of Netflix. The hosts were fantastic; they were always contactable and helpful. The smell that some people have mentioned in previous reviews seems to be peppermint or tea tree; some sort of essential oil possibly to keep insects away? I did find the mattress rather hard, it hurt my back but my partner had no issues. The light in the bathroom was very bright, great for applying make-up. Enough towels were provided for our 5 night stay. Don't hesitate, book now, 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There was nothing not to like. I would suggest though that when the 2000w hairdryer needs replacing to get a 2400w instead, as drying long hair with a 2000w, takes a very long time. I would also suggest to place a full lenght mirror onto the bedroom wall as there is no full lenght mirror in the apartment to check out how one is looking, lol. A few more shelves in the bedroom would be great also and a suitcase stand.

We spent beautiful holidays in this apartment - bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. I would deffinitely recommend it. Shower wasn't cleaned properly... there was some dirt in the corners.

Svetog Durda is just off Pile Gate and pedestrianised with a bakery and small convenience shop close by for day to day food supplies. The property is very dark and dismal with virtually no natural light.

• Marcus (10/5): Excellent location, lovely apartment, surprisingly quiet. - This place is superbly located at a great price (for the city). It is surprisingly quiet and very cool (temperature) as a basement flat. The owners were responsive and friendly. I highly recommend it, if you're comfortable with the cash only aspect, but they also have a lot of faith in humanity as they just ask you to leave the cash as you leave. They ask you to register yourselves as a visitor, and of the three places we stayed at in Croatia, this is the only place that asked us to do it ourselves. Use Chrome only, as no other browser seems to work, and I recommend registering on a laptop rather than mobile. It is a small price to pay for a very well located apartment. Also, maybe double check the cost with the accommodation, as the exchange rate on booking.com may not be correct.

• Steve (8/5): Very good - Ideal location for exploring Dubrovnik Old Town and next to the bus terminal for travel to other areas of Dubrovnik. Lots of bars, restaurants, small supermarkets and bakery nearby. Apartment is part of an old building so the rooms are snug with steps down from the door that are quite steep. OK for us but could be difficult for someone with more limited mobility. For us it was part of the charm of this older property.

You had to pay cash only for the property and we had to leave the cash in the apartment when we left unattended. So you aren’t sure if the owner got the payment or not. The kitchen could have had a microwave. That would have been helpful

The staff are lovely and very accommodating and helpful. Tv with Netflix etc works well. Having a fridge is a bonus. Unfortunately, all the furniture is uncomfortable (couch, bed). It is noisy, you can hear all the noise made from apartments above and from the footpath just outside your room.

• Samari (9/5): Quiet location in the midst of all the action - Very affordable. Excellent location, yet still manages to be on a quiet street. Walk 1 minute from the door to the ocean, with a view of the city walls and the fort. The old city is less than a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is well equipped for cooking/eating in. The way the apartment is set up doesn't create any natural lighting. But that's not the owners fault. The lights in the apartment is also sufficient when turned on.

The apartment was kept clean and had all facilities that were needed. Would highly recommend and visit again if travelling to Dubrovnik! Most things were perfect apart from the maid forgetting to put shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom however nothing else was negative!
