• A Satya Veitenhans (9/5): - This rooftop apartment in old town Dubrovnik is truly wonderful! The location is perfect for walking everywhere of interest. The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and well provisioned. The view from your private terrace is spectacular. The host is gracious and helpful. 10 stars for hospitality! We HIGHLY recommend that you stay at LOCUS apartment in Dubrovnik! Due to the very central location, it can be a little noisy at nighttime. But I would also say, it is also surprisingly well insulated from noise when all the windows and shutters are closed. Due to the rooftop location, you will periodically hear the central heating or air conditioning for the entire building turn on, which is loud for a short period of time. This is the ONLY reason we did not give a full 10 star rating.

Owner was responsive to questions. How many people get to stay in old Roman ruins!! Difficult to maneuver baggage. Pedestrian area. Hard to park close.

• Chip (6/5): Great location, comfortable room but beware of stairwell. - The location was great right of the Main Street of old town. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Also good amount of room in the non. bedroom area. The stairs were a problem. Anyone looking at this location should be aware that the room is in an old building with a circular staircase. The staircase has a rope for a handrail and at one point a section of the "handrail" pulled out from the wall while I was holding it and walking down the stairs. The stairwell had motion activated lights that did not come on fast enough resulting in having to go into dark areas on the stairwell. This cause a problem because at one of the landings that had a half-step to the landing the light had not come on and she didn't see the half-step and fell and suffered a severe sprain of her ankle. This made the trip for her less enjoyable.
• Jo (10/5): Fabulous apartment in the middle of the old town. - Everything was perfect . The accomodation was amazing. We booked the studio apt with the roof top terrace and it is a hike up 4 flights of stairs , but we knew that , but it is so worth it for the views & the apartment. Lovely decor , spotlessly clean. A nice touch of wine , biscuits , beers , soft drinks , water & fruit & sweets in the room & lovely luxury toiletries in the bathroom. The location is perfect , just up a little side alley off the main street with a little wine bar & tapas bar below which were both great & then straight out on to the main street with all the shops , bars & restaurants & fabulous alleyways to look around. Thanks to our host who kept in touch with information / directions & met us at the apartment , she even sorted transport for us to our next location when we were let down . Great stay , would definately return. Nothing , all great

• Guest (10/5): - Location is great, close to the center of the Old Town, but quiet. The room had thoughtful touches, like cold water in the refrigerator and a bowl of apples for hungry travelers. The rooms were clean and management quickly responded to questions. There was nothing to dislike.
• Karen (8/5): Well located and comfortable with good arrival instructions and welcome help with luggage. - The location was excellent, just off the main street. We were given excellent instructions to arrive without Dubrovnik’s mountainous stairs - which is valuable in this town. We saw so many tourists struggling with cases up steep stairs. Our apartment was small, but clean. It was on the 3rd floor away from restaurant noise but up a tiny spiral staircase. Our host however carried the cases up and down for us which helped greatly. Bathroom modern and with plenty of toiletries. A kettle was provided but only coffee and herbal tea. For English or Australian visitors-bring black tea bags to Croatia! Bed was a little soft for my liking. Black tea would be great.

• Gal (10/5): You can’t be any more central! - Loved the location and attention to details, including the complimentary water/drinks, little cakes for the morning coffee, shower cap, etc. Unlimited time for storing bags after check out. They also helped me with my very heavy bags to take them upstairs. They responded quickly to all questions I had.

We appreciated that the operator offered a place to store our bags before/after check-in and also arranged a driver for us from the airport. Good communication before and during stay. Operator responded quickly to resolve a mechanical issue with the water heater that arose midway during our stay. Perfect accommodation for us and we enjoyed our time in Dubrovnik!

• Robert (9/5): A vibrant city with so much history - Perhaps the info was there and we missed it but we looked on city map and chose Busa Gate to enter from a taxi which necessitated descending 60 plus steps with luggage! The Pile Gate however was a much easier exit and loads of taxis waiting.

Echt super!! Wij konden geen brandmelder blusser etc vinden - wel belangrijk in zo’n oud huis
• Guilherme (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The beds were quite comfortable, the room was very clean, and even though the street is noisy we couldn’t hear anything from the outside. We could feel there had been a significant level of attention put into our experience there (drinks in the fridge, little coffee table, beach towels, restaurant suggestions). Although we arrived at almost 10pm, our host was there within 30 seconds to hand over the keys and show us the room. So yes, great experience, and would definitely come back (needless to say, the location is awesome).

• Wataru (10/5): 最高のバルコニー - バルコニー付きの部屋で、部屋とバルコニー共に広くて最高でした。特に、バルコニーの眺めは最高で、城砦、山頂、海も少しですが見えて、街の全体像を楽しみながら、自炊した夕飯を楽しみました。冷房の効きもとてもいいです。部屋の調度品も、ビンテージないい雰囲気。 見晴らしが最高である代償に、部屋までの螺旋階段は70段ちょっとあります。階段の登り降りが健康的に難しい人は、旧市街の中心で休憩や昼寝のために部屋にいつでも戻れる、この部屋の良さを味わえないかもしれません。ただ、建物はメインストリートの高さ(一番低い高さ)と考えれば、70段も大したことないのかも知れません。

• Paula (7/5): Buena ubicación pero precio excesivo - La ubicación es muy buena, y la chica que nos atendió es muy maja. Nos dejaron agua y bebidas y había muchos amenities en el baño. Nos dejó guardar las maletas hasta que nos fuimos en un pequeño cuarto el último día después de abandonar el apartamento. Las camas son incómodas, hasta el punto de que te hundías. De lo peor en lo que he dormido. También destacar que estaba la habitación en un 3 sin ascensor. Para nosotros una pareja joven no fue mayor problema pero es importante tenerlo en cuenta si tienes problemas para subir escaleras o vas muy cargado Por otro lado había un olor constante a cordero, pensábamos que era por el aire acondicionado, pero lo quitamos y seguía oliendo. Tampoco podíamos abrir mucho las ventanas porque entraba el olor de los restaurantes de la calle. Después de todo esto, consideramos que el precio era muy muy excesivo para las calidades que se ofrecían.

There's a lot of stairs but we already knew that before we went and the host ensured that someone was at hand at check in and check out to carry the bags.

Location is on the Main Street in Old Town with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. right outside. There was no street noise while inside the apartment. Owner met us and carried our luggage up the stairs when we arrived and when we left. If you can’t walk up and down 3 flights of stairs, don’t stay here. But if steep staircases aren’t a problem , it’s perfect!

• Graeme (10/5): A real gem. - We loved everything about the apartment. The rooftop terrace is amazing. It really is an incredible apartment. Some of the equipment is really old. The TV has no wireless technology, meaning you can't cast/mirror your phone to it.

Air con was very effective apartment very cool. The balcony was large and well appointed, great to sit out. even robes, beach towels, toiletries and slippers. There was nothing that we did not like and the host was wonderful. absolutely nothing, There are a lot of stairs, but the apartment is well worth the climb.

It's location is very central in the old town. It is personal preference, I appreciate, but for us the beds were way too soft to be comfortable. There was also an odd smell of lamb cooking from the restaurant next door throughout the room.

• Lidia (9/5): An excellent stay that I would recommend to friends and family. - The room was beautiful, roomy and very comfortable. The location in the center of old town was within walking distance of tourist attractions and restaurants. The hostess was always very helpful with any type of questions we had. Not ideal for those with mobility issues as there are many stairs to reach the room. With a good location comes close proximity to the bars.

No other facilities except for the comfortable rooms that include small kitchenette stocked with some drinks, fruit, etc. 58 circular stair steps can be challenging to navigate especially with luggage. Given location, can be noisy late in the night.

Very quiet, comfortable room. It was an old building so obviously there were lots of steep steps within the property to get to our room, but the manager helped us with our cases, which was lovely. Everything else was perfect.

• Gertrude (10/5): Kleine erholsame Auszeit in Dubrovnik - Die Lage des Appartements Ist nicht zu toppen. Fast am Hauptplatz in der Mitte der Altstadt. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick über die Dächer der Stadt. Man sieht Kirchtürme, die Statue des heiligen Vlaho, die Festung, ein Stück Meer im alten Hafen, Teile der Stadtmauer und den Stradun. Ich kann mir keinen besseren Platz in Dubrovnik vorstellen als NIkolinas Terrasse um die Atmosphäre der Altstadt zu genießen. Das Appartement ist nett und in geschmackssicherem Stil eingerichtet, der den Flair der Altstadt aufnimmt. Alles passt, das Bett ist sehr bequem, Bademantel und Hausschuhe sind vorhanden, auch kleine Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kekse und Wein. Nikolina hilft beim Gepäck, die Stufen im Altbau erfordern etwas Fitness. Der Shuttle vom und zum Flughafen ist gut und zuverlässig. Die einzige kleine Sache, die mir gefehlt hat, ist eine Kaffeemaschine. Löslicher Kaffee schmeckt nicht so toll und die Terrasse ist zu schön um sie zum Frühstück zu verlassen.

The location is perfectly centered in the old town next to eve - The view is spectacular and the room is spacious and stunning The amount of stairs leading to the room is a little ridiculous when traveling with large suitcases.

• Adélaïde (10/5): Best rooftop in the old city of Dubrovnik - - the rooftop is incredible, very very large and overlooking the main street of old Dubrovnik - the location of the flat is perfect, with everything less than 5 minutes' walk away - even though it's a rental, it feels like a hotel (slippers, bathrobe, lots of beauty products) - it was very easy to get to the apartment: a few days before you arrive, you receive a message from the host to arrange a meeting time. - plenty of products offered in the flat (cold drinks such as cola, beer and water as well as a bottle of wine) In short, thank you again, it was an incredible stay, we didn't want to go back. The check out is a bit too early (10am)

• Maria (8/5): Mooie kamers midden in de oude stad, net om de hoek van de hoofdstraat - De locatie is perfect, midden in de oude stad. Vanaf de Pile poort loop je over de Stradun zo naar het hotel. Alles vlak. De kamer was mooi ingericht, heel schoon, veel handdoeken, stond zelfs frisdrank en water voor ons in de koelkast. De host was erg vriendelijk en was goed te bereiken. Zoals in alle reviews te lezen valt, zijn er inderdaad drie trappen die je op moet naar de kamers. Als leuning hangt er een dik touw maar bij de laatste trap hangt een dunner touw dat veel slapper is en dus geen steun biedt. De licht sensoren bij de trappen reageren laat waardoor je in het donker de trap af moet. Het dakterras kun je alleen op als je het luxe appartement dat erbij hoort boekt. Verder, als je geen problemen hebt met traplopen, is het een prima plek
