- Tereza (9/5): Amazing place with a lovely host - Amazing host and fantastic location, walkable to the city center. There is a great restaurants and panaderia nearby. The apartment is spacious with fully equipped kitchen. Literally opposite the lake so wonderful for a morning walks. The beds are a bit squeaky.

It's a great place to relax and enjoy the birds and Calafate's waterfront/boardwalk. The color of the lake is not turquoise blue, but it's still a nice view.

Julio the owner helped us with the luggage since our apartment was on the 2nd floor. Only one bathroom for 4 people but we managed.

- Haena (10/5): Great apartment - Salamandra is located 10 minutes away from the center of El Calafate. It has everything you need during the stay for visiting Moreno or some trecking, heating was perfect, the bed was comfy... and the host was so nice, I can find no cons on this place. Highly recommended. It's not really on the center of the city, but it was a pretty good 10-minutes walking to the center!

- J (10/5): Excellent value and lots of space in El Calafate! - Love the size of the apartment, the view of the lake, the many beds, the price, the travel agent next-door, the short walk to town, the quieter location, the market across the street, and our hosts, Julio and his mom! Both very personable and helpful! There is gas oven we could light and heat up our pizza which we really appreciated. The water is drinkable from the tap and very good! The heat works very well, we even had to turn it off most of the time because the sun kept the rooms warm. They were kind enough to do us some extra favors which we really appreciated!! I cannot fault anything, we were very happy with the apartment. I might recommend a mattress pad, but it didn't keep us from sleeping very well!

- Johannes (10/5): Amazing apartment - Amazing Apartement. It's situated just in front of the lake, which makes an amazing view. Bakery and sell supermarket are just around the corner, so we found everything we needed within a short distance. The owners were super friendly and helpful with everything. Totally would recommend to stay here.
- Andres (10/5): Nice apartment some minutes walk from the city center - The apartments are located only around a 10 minutes walk from the city center and one block from la Costanera to have some good walks. The apartment was in excellent condition and very well equipped. The lady that received us was lovely and gave us a nice welcome. They had no parking but you could park on the street. I can't think of something I would like to complain to be honest, especially when considering the price

- Qiang (7/5): Good - Big warm room with a beautiful view. Very clean. Fully equipped kitchen with a big supermarket in 10 mins walk. The Argentina Lake is across the street downstairs where the wild birds live (flamingos). There is a nice seafood local restaurant 3m walk close. The flat is a bit out of the center which is around a 20-25 minutes walk to the downtown. Besides, we observed a 7,000 ARS overcharge upon arrival, differing from the displayed booking.com reservation amount. While I acknowledge potential price variations due to the current situation in Argentina, our three other simultaneous reservations in Buenos Aires, Calafate, and Ushuaia maintained the originally booked amounts. Although a minor sum, the inconsistency has raised concerns.

- Christopher (7/5): Good - The property itself was great, very homely and spacious We were warned about the toilet flush not working properly and unsurprisingly, it broke shortly after we arrived - it was fixed the next day however. The host forgot that they had agreed to extend our stay by an extra night, which was ultimately resolved, however we were told we could only settle in cash or paying by card in person. We were on a full day tour of the glacier and this meant that we had to walk 30 mins back home to pay, and then 30 mins back in to town for dinner. There was no flexibility to pay the next morning or by bank transfer, despite it being their error.

- Matteo (10/5): Excellent spacious apartment close to central El Calafate - Comfortable, well equipped, clean, spacious, within easy walking distance from the restaurants and shops in the town center. We stated there with our two boys and it was perfect. The apartment was facing north with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Would go back there if I ever return to El Calafate. Nothing

- Helen (10/5): Such hospitality! Bird-lovers really need to stay here - This family-run property is so lovely! They are available out the back but they never intrude. They are friendly, the rooms look over an incredible wetland which even had flamingos when I was there (magical). The heating and double glazing is perfect, they left me a little treat basket, and were so generous and hospitable It was all good! It’s about a ten minute walk to the heart of town but that’s good if you want more peace at night
