• John (9/5): Comfortable apartment in fabulous location - This flat is in a great location to explore (West) Hollywood on foot. There are bars, restaurants, and grocery stores just around the corner, and Runyon Canyon, Hollywood, shopping on Melrose, and LACMA are all within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a huge smart tv that not only has all the channels you would expect, but is also connected to multiple streaming services. It was very handy to be able to do the laundry. The bed is very comfortable, and there is even a roof terrace so you can sit out in the sun. Generally, this place is great. The only minor points I noticed are that the faucet cap in the sink in the bathroom needs replacing so the water flows normally and it take a while for the hot water to flow in the shower, but it was so hot during my visit that this wasn't really a problem.
• Elizabeth (9/5): Very cute and comfortable place to stay in a very convenient location! - Loved staying at this place. Very cute and comfortable, with amazing natural light. Wonderfully central location but still quite quiet. As a small woman traveling alone, I felt safe in this apartment and neighborhood. The bed was super comfy and the place had everything I needed. I had some trouble figuring out the lights and A/C when I arrived, but the host FaceTimed with me, even though it was late, to make sure that I got it all figured out which I really appreciated! Also, some of the candle lights were not working and I figured out it was because the batteries had died in them—as soon as I mentioned this to the host, he asked me to let him know what size batteries were needed and offered to have them delivered which I also thought was great. I don’t expect to be back to L.A. anytime soon, but would happily stay here again! Would also recommend to friends who are visiting. Also appreciated that the host provides lots of local recommendations! Having an overhead light to turn on quickly when you walk in the door would have been nice, but I think it just wasn’t working properly when I was there. Once you get the app set up on your phone, you can actually turn the Philips Hue lights on before you enter the apartment which is nice! Water temperature in the shower also seems kind of easily affected by water use in nearby apartments, but that is understandable and I was never uncomfortable for long. Just something that might be helpful to know ahead of time :) Overall, the positives of this place far outweighed any negatives.

Убрались на следующий день. Высокая влажность во всей квартире, света общего нет, только торшер. На следующий день вечером пришел другой гость и открыл входную дверь с кодом. Вот мы удивились. Вот вы были в Анапе в сезон? Когда сдают каждый угол. Вот это тоже самое. До метро очень далеко, до магазина далеко. До бульвара Голивуд минут 20 пешком. Хозяин обещал сделать возврат денег за уборку и обманул.
• Clifford (9/5): - We liked the good, hot water shower, the comfortable bed and the central and quiet location. There's some fancy mood lighting in the lounge for which you have to download an app. It's not essential for a comfortable stay, but unnecessarily sets an expectation.

• Michelle (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable and large. The kitchen was good to use to save money whilst travelling. TV with movies great to relax. Lovely to have air conditioning. Lite stairs. Even though we had good directions it was a bit difficult to find in the dark. It was good the lights stayed on the stairs.
• carolyn (10/5): its a very eclectic aprtment with everything you need really - the kitchen was outfitted with everything you could need and the washer/dryer. the squirrels visiting the yard was cool. wish i had of climbed ion the roof to catch some sun. area was quiet. lots of sun in the apartment. aircon was good. bath is huge but didnt get to use it. i didnt use stove as i am scared of gas. blender was great shower head seemed like it was going to fall off and fridge needed a new seal. fridge kept opening as seals not working
• Daniel (8/5): Great location, lovely place, rough communicating with the owner. - The location was good, the flat was clean, it had a kitchen which came in handy. It was very quiet and calm here. Although it was a struggle to access, the roof area was a nice place to sit. Was overloaded with info from the person renting, they sent long messages missing key information, such as working url links, which was confusing. They were also hard getting in touch with consistently. Had multiple questions that I asked over text or via app without ever getting a reply, or at least not until it was too late.
• Maxim (10/5): Amazing and beautiful - The apartment is very nice, sunny and clean. Has everything what you need( cookware, dishes etc). The area is very nice and walkable to everything( between Malrose ave and Santa Monica bld). Very close to WEHO about 20/30 mins walking. The neighborhood is very trendy. The neighbors are also very nice and polite.
• Rafael (8/5): Lovely overall!! And really nice neighborhood! Would love to come back! - Loved the neighborhood and the place. As other reviews mention, the apartment is a bit tired and could use some refreshing and minor fixes. It’s not really a one-bedroom - it’s more like a studio with a separate kitchen. When I arrived, the sink was leaking heavily, spraying water all the way to the top when opened. The host took care of it and sent someone to fix it a couple of days later. The heater is a small device, and after about half an hour of being plugged in in the living room/bedroom, it would cause the electricity to shut down. All the devices in that area seem to be connected to a single socket. That said, the apartment has a very cozy feel, and I appreciated how previous guests had left small things like coffee behind. It’s also a good place for receiving package deliveries, and the neighborhood is really calm and nice. Overall, a lovely stay! I’d love to come back! Some things here and there that could use some fixing.

• Burns (7/5): Overall great stay - Overall a nice stay. Apartment super clean and easy check in with a code on door. Good kitchen facilities so if you want to cook you'll have everything you need. Other guests have left teabags, spices etc and anytime I needed a straw or a pair of chopsticks for an Uber Eats - I could find in the kitchen. Iron, washer and drier which was great to have all my clothes washed upon my return home. There was an issue during my stay with someone trespassing which left me uncomfortable, but host dealt with this immediately and no further issues during my stay. I stayed during the fires and every neighbour checked in on me. A lovely family downstairs were willing to help me evacuate if needed. Next door is really lovely. Hannah below from NZ is really lovely too. It was great to have these people given the circumstances. The outdoor area is on the roof is through a pretty small window. I'm 6ft3 and had trouble getting onto the roof and even more trouble getting off the roof. If not able bodied or tall like me, you probably won't be able to use it. The chairs outside your apartment also have a sign that say you aren't allowed to use. It would be nice to sit here as it's where the fairy lights and garden is. I also agree that the stairs may be an issue too if you aren't able bodied, they are quite steep. Shower took a really long time to get hot water. At least 5 minutes. Again, not really a biggie if you are staying during summer but in January it got a little tiresome waiting on it to heat up. The remotes for candles, Phillips Hue lights etc didn't work. Others mentioned this in their reviews. Not a biggie, but I'd have loved to have turned them on/off from bed in the morning and night. Not something I didn't like, but something to be aware of. This area is bang in the middle of West Hollywood and Hollywood. On the map, it's a great location. What that means though is you aren't really in either area. It's residential and if you have a car, great - lot's of parking, it's quiet and it's safe. But if you are planning on walking to and from Weho or Hollywood for a few drinks and dinner each night be aware you're going to have to Uber which costs an average of $10-15 dollars each way. I've stayed in West Hollywood many times over the years and I would say it's a good 2/2.5km walk to get to where the nightlife is in Weho and similar with Hollywood.
• Chris (9/5): Cozy place in a great location at a fair value, would recommend - I liked the location. Very close to many shops and easy to find parking. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. Not too much privacy since the place was 1/2 an apartment.
• Taylor (8/5): Excellent ! Would definitely stay here again. - I loved the location, very close to everything I needed and all public transport. Even the home itself was very secure being in a complex so as a solo traveller I felt safe. Everything that I needed was at the property - full kitchen with pantry staples and all utensils needed. A full bathroom, and a lovely rooftop to sit in the sun. The bed was VERY comfy and I loved the lights they had installed. The plants were also a lovely addition to the atmosphere. My hosts were very prompt to answer my messages too. There was nothing I didn’t like but I feel I should mention if you are not fully able bodied, the stairs could be difficult (especially carrying luggage by yourself), the bathroom is small and could be hard to manoeuvre, and to get to the rooftop spot you need to climb out a relatively small window. But for me as a young, fit and able bodied traveller I found it all perfect ! In terms of the apartment itself, some parts are a little dated but everything was in complete working order and easy to use

• Aline (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, secure and quiet, nice neighborhood! Walking distance from supermarkets, restaurants and shops. The place was so cozy and comfy, had an amazing boho vibe, also felt very safe. The rooftop is a plus to enjoy a drink on a sunny day!

• Nicole (3/5): Value not worth it, smelt really bad, choose a hotel instead - Place was relatively clean but the photos are definitely polished to hide the cosmetic overlay of the unit. It does not look as good inside. It’s a very old building and the smell was pretty terrible. It smelt like you were walking the streets of LA and dirty urine. Carrying luggage up metal stairs sucked. It was a very cute area but the building really isn’t maintained well outside. The lights continued to flicker like crazy in the unit. Apparently power does not really work anywhere but in the bathroom. The bathroom is extremely tiny and really old. It was not very functional. The bed is not a bed at all. It’s a daybed and you can only sleep on it one way, so it’s really only meant for one person. It was not comfortable either. The host was responsive but not really in an effective way. When we voiced our concerns, he didn’t really acknowledge them or apologize that we were disappointed at the smell and dead bug melted to the curtains in visible view. The TV remote didn’t work either but he claims everything was in working order earlier that day. He really didn’t care because he already received his money. We stayed in an amazing hotel the night before for the same price. The flat was not worth the value. Do yourselves a favor and stay at a hotel and pay for parking the value is way better.

• Kimberly (5/5): Wanted to love it, but too many complications. - It was in close proximity to many touristy places. The neighbors were all very friendly. It was clean. Couldn’t locate a key to the trash bins. Bath tub would take hours to drain. Wash machine did not drain water from clothes. Car window of rental car was smashed while parked on the street over night.

• Aeryn (8/5): Very good - Beautiful flat. Loved the roof access and location. Light was beautiful. I felt very comfortable and at home there. The plants were a wonderful touch. The internet upload speed was so poor that I was essentially glamping, and that put a crimp on things. The inability to use a curling iron or hair dryer from any other sockets but one in the bathroom was annoying but dealable. The stair climb with a suitcase was... Precarious.
