• Sello (10/5): - The property's location and the simplicity of the apartment are key considerations. A little attention to the linen and bedding could be great, and you can up the price for that because this is a convenient place.
• William (8/5): - Location. Price. Few lights did not switch on, tv remote batteries need to be replaced. Was without water on Thursday night but believe there was a plumbing issue in the building.

• Maharaj (10/5): I'm always staying here when I come back to JHB - The apartment was so much bigger than I thought! Very well styled too. The location was very safe (like walk around on the street at night kind of safe) and it was literally a 1 minute walk to get to the strip of restaurants at Melrose Arch. The property also happens to have a garden area which you can access with the key card. This garden area also has a pool (its the middle of winter, but still super cool) The bathroom door got jammed once...spoke to the owners after my stay and they were so wonderful about it. Literally the best experience ever

• Dermot (3/5): STAY AWAY IN WINTER - freezing cold apartment - Convenient location Freezing cold. No insulation and only 1 plug in heater to heat the whole apartment. When I asked for another heater I got a long story about electricity usage and how it would go up and I should use the heater provided!! More interested in the electricity bill than their customers getting pneumonia!! It’s an industrial design with concrete floors and roof and not an ounce of insulation anywhere. It was positively Baltic. Will never go back there in winter months.

She only wanted to communicate with WhatsApp and she doesn't understand the place herself mxm. I will never recommend anyone to go there ☹️
• Katso (8/5): Lovely and serene. - The apartment was lovely. I loved the location and the cosy feel of the apartment. Highly recommend for a staycation. The view and sound of the city were just a bonus. The amenities provided were more than enough. Key collection was a nightmare; the directions provided on the messaging platform were insufficient. Only managed after reaching out to the host on WhatsApp.

Very poor quality bedding. Cheapest, lowest quality, single-ply toilet roll. Only 1 roll provided. We had to buy our own toilet roll by the third day of our stay. Broken shower head.
• Alex (10/5): Luxurious comfort - Property is self catering and all amenities were there. Everything one would need in a self catering facility was there. Excellent Suggestions. Install an zircon for the bedroom side and the dining/lounge side. Most importantly! Install a flashing light at the door to make the apartment Deaf friendly. When someone knocks, the light will flash so the Deaf visitor can know. Also the intercom must be made Deaf friendly. My NPO can assist to guide and advise on this. Pls let me know so we can assist u to make the apartment Deaf friendly.

Very unpleasant to stay indoor on the hot day like days that I rented the apartment.

• Atishca (10/5): Great apartment close to the Christmas lights and restaurants - The apartment was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is great and only 2 minutes walk away from the restaurants and Christmas lights. Not that I disliked it, but a suggestion to add more convenience would be to include a hairdryer.

• Carlos (1/5): Bad - I was expecting a luxury apartment. Arrived there and there were barely any lights working in the bathroom. Two bath towels on the bed. Very cold inside with 2 oil heaters. Never got to stay there. Contacted the host about this. I was then told by the host it was an affordable apartment. Long story short got a partial refund as we never stayed there and had to find alternative accomodation.
• Michael (1/5): Disappointed, dissatisfied and disgusted. - The apartment was dirty, grubby and run down. The furniture has significant wear, and is not at all like the listing photos. The apartment was so grubby and run down that I didn’t stay in it and instead booked into one of the Melrose Arch hotels instead.

• Sibongile (6/5): Convenient location, inconvenient noisiness. - The location is great, and security is right outside the building. The apartment is well-cleaned, decorated, and maintained. There is a lot of noise all the time, from traffic, the generator, and the building itself. You have to pick up the keys off-property, which is inconvenient.

• Adedeji (10/5): Pleasant stay in a secure, central location. - As a self-contained unit, no breakfast was offered. Full amenities for cooking were provided. The location was great with secure access and convenience for shopping and dining options. The unit was very clean with complimentary cleaning service provided mid-stay...this service not required but was greatly appreciated when offered. There is a generator on site which provided uninterrupted power supply during blackout periods. I will definitely consider staying at this location again. Flexibility for late check-out would have been ideal but I understand cleaning of the unit for the next guest had to begin by the stipulated 10:00 am checkout time.

The bed linen was of very low quality ,the pillows extremely uncomfortable , the bed was old and squeaky and sadly the tissue in the toilet was of the lowest quality I have ever experienced.

Directions are not clear on key collection,parking, and opening times for which exit or entrance to use.Security gaurds have different rules than the ones issued by the host. This was frustrating

The communication was on point and felt like I had a helping hand at all times. The directions and information was great also. It was very well kept. The toilet flushed very slowly and didn’t flush everything. The shower water gathered at the bottom while you showered.

• Mayuree (2/5): lovely apartment with great location, unclean and poor quality bedding and rude, unhelpful hosts - The location was awesome and it was easy to get in and out of the apartment The linens were not clean, the pillows were of poor quality, the crockery was chipped and the hosts were rude / sarcastic when responding to requests for additional pillows (given the poor quality of the pillows in the apartment). The hosts did not provide basics such as toilet paper. the hosts also sent a long list of limitations / restrictions after the booking was made (post the free cancellation period) where they stated that they don’t provide cleaning services, toilet paper, dishwashing tablets etc. It felt like they skimped on the basics and were not willing to make us comfortable.

Was harassed by security as we tried to get my luggage to the car, then an African woman stopped and he allowed her to double park but he threatened to lock us up if we did not move really shocking.

• Lucius (9/5): Superb - The apartment is very clean and modern with everything you'd need. Safe and secure access and parking. Communication was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The fridge needs a service. I had to switch it off at night due to a ringing noise.

• Claire (7/5): I will not be going back - lovely apartment the hotel is lovely but upon check in they take u on a wild goose chase like a puzzle to get keys from a neighbouring resident and drag your luggage down the street looking for the apartment!!! it was a nightmare . in the scorching cold with communication breakdown , jet lagged and I can’t stand the load shedding . Then the funniest thing is I was given a wrong key after all the stress, the key didn’t fit . trying to communicate with the coordinators and getting impatient wasn’t my idea of a lovely stay . i literary went crazy . total chaos and totally unnecessary. however an inverter solar powered battery should have been installed . however the generator came on to save the day

The location is great, a lot of great amenities and convenience. Great value for money. My partner and I would definitely stay again! Nothing. Everything was on point.

• Patel (6/5): not coming back here - smart apartment. very neat great location no wifi didn’t have generator during load shedding no air conditioning no fan hosts need to more clear on booking.com that apartment is not serviced. after you confirm bookings thats when they hit you with it😫 for the price you paying they should atleast send someone to pat down. parking access needs to be clearer. a map would be better. apartment needs to be deep cleaned keys are not on premises washing machine doesn’t dry clothes. we put clothes on washing line to dry and it took 2 days due to rain. so eventually we didn’t have clean towels to use. I requested host for just 2 towels! not to service apartment or anything, but unfortunately they couldn’t help. no curtesy no nothing! i was even willing to pay for it. it was a huge let down for us also there seems to be 2 apartments with same furniture with diff prices and ratings. be aware .obviously i took the one with higher rating and price but was a disappointment I don’t think I’ll go back there. even security know about issues with this particular apartment 004
