• Shu Chin (8/5): Location is good. Quite a few bistro places nearby. Good review restaurants as well. Walking distance to tourist spots. - It is CLEAN. Full of natural light in the room and the showroom. We’ll use of glass blocks in the shower room to bring natural light in from a very narrow alley. Thorough check in and out guidance. Occasional noises from upstair guests coming back to the room late at nights. Sunday morning soccer games / practices, for the building is right adjacent to a sports field.

• Lauren (9/5): - Bare was amazing, communication and checking to make sure we had everything to feel welcome and comfortable was excellent. I was worried about the request / providing passport details a week before but honestly no problem- guess as 'self check in' this means foreigner details logged in plenty of time for arrival, felt safe in check in process and homestay security. Great location with lots of lovely cafes, restaurants and bars a walk away. 100% recommend and great value for money. Room also bigger than expected in comparison to pics. The local rooster - im a light sleeper and he woke me up 2/3 mornings unfortunately but not much can be done i imagine and plenty of roosters around the city!
• Robbin (8/5): I would stay again if in Saigon and was an overall pleasant experience, with some hiccups - The property was modern and the design was very comfortable, every thing was clean and was great for a quick stay The apartment is extremely hard to find, tucked in the corner of a “creepy” alley, when outside there is a phone dead zone so you can't even contact anyone. In the room one of the windows you could see straight into a schools sport practice so you couldn't really have privacy and natural lighting.

• Antea (9/5): Really chic, spacious and comfortable place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City 😊 - It was very spacious and comfortable, had drawers for putting clothes in and the staff was there for whatever we needed. Our room was on 4th floor and after whole day walking it was a bit hard to climb all those stairs because there is no elevator.

• Ying-kit (10/5): Great base to explore HCMC - The "hotel" feels more like an Airbnb--homely and comfortable! We stayed on the top floor--excellent exercise from climbing the stairs! Drinking water is available near level one. Collecting the key card is easy, as per the clear instructions prior to arrival. The neighborhood is pleasant, with top-notch cafes, restaurants, and cocktail bars (e.g., Aviation Chamber) within walking distance. A pleasant stroll along the main roads will lead to main attractions such as Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum. HCMC is fast becoming another Bangkok, so visit before everyone uncovers this hidden gem of a place! Absolutely nothing.

I especially liked the bathroom that is full of natural light. It was a bit hard to find an apartment, I would add a direct link with GPS coordinates on google maps in addition to a written description on how to get there.

An apartment has microwave, a/c and place to work. Very quiet at night. We lived on the 4th floor and the building has no lift - it was very difficult to lift our luggage. Hotel told us about it, but there was no help with this problem.

Our taxi looped in the neighborhood many times in the dark trying to find the hotel. The room could use a new coat of paint and new grouting, as the place looked a bit worn. Better towels would be nice. There are many stairs to climb, and the staff were not around to help with the luggage. Didn’t feel like a hotel.

Our room was exactly what it was described by the owner, so we were very satisfied with it over our 5-day trip. Clean room, facilities in good condition, and friendly support when you need. We felt like home and we'd love to spend our next vacation here.

• Vid (10/5): Exceptional - We really liked this accommodation (the best one so far after 2 months Asia trip). Staff is super responsive and helpful through Whatsapp all the time. We liked the place so much that we prolonged our stay as well. It is super clean and well equipped with everything you need during the stay. Room is very big so we could repack our bags. Although it is in district 1 it is absolutely quiet and we had great sleep. You can walk to most of sights as well. We have arrived way before check in hours and our room was ready much earlier. If ever again in HCM, for sure I’d book this place. It would be nice that in arrival lobby are some chairs/sofa to sit on, but not a huge issue at all :)

The shower/ bed/ ac all works nice! they have easy kitchen setup, it is nice to heat up some food or just simply wanna have some fruits in the room. I didn’t notice the hotel does have elevator, I was carrying my 28KG suitcase to the top floor. But they do tell me in advance whether I can accept it, it s very thoughtful but only if someone can help me with that, would be even more appreciated

• Wendy (8/5): Peace amongst the chaos - For District 1 accommodation, it was lovely and quiet. It was down a quiet lane where cars couldn’t access so you didn’t get the traffic noise. It backed into a leisure centre where kids played basketball and volleyball and in the morning you could see the women and men doing Thai Chi. There was a rooster somewhere along the lane that constantly crowed 🤣 and a dog that didn’t like the crowing so it barked at the rooster.
• Brayden (8/5): Nice and modern studio apartment with a great outlook and location - Good location and detailed check in instructions with attentive host. Nice view with plenty of natural light. Modern renovation and Netflix as an added bonus Small things like the fridge temperature always being too cold and freezing our drinks. The air conditioner wouldn’t get very cold so took time to cool the room. It dries out the air in the room so thankful for the humidifier.

• Tim (9/5): Superb - The bed was super comfy, views were immaculate over the local soccer field and basketball court. Very comfortable stay, large rooms, felt very secure for a homestay. Netflix already loaded onto the smart tv. Not too close to the busy roads. Excellent stay for a very good price. Be aware, there is no lift and you might end up on level 4. So if you pack light you won't have an issue, if you pack heavy, then consider another accommodation unless you can snag a lower level room, or if you want the exercise.

• Madeleine (5/5): No lift, staff unkind, remote location, overpaid booking - I like that the renovation is modern 1) this is the only place where I have to upload my passport in an unsecured site. Instead of reassuring that my details will be deleted after some time later and not be abused, the staff coerced me into canceling my stay just 2 days before my trip 2) one day before my trip, they asked if I am paying with credit card or cash. Which I replied credit card. And yet, instead of deducting the amount through booking.com, they made me meet them on the 2nd day of my stay to pay with my physical card. When I eventually did, the rate was worst off than booking.com resulting me to pay more 3) they were a lot of ants. In the toilet, shower, closet, table and even on the bed. Mosquitoes were found too. I always wake up with a few mosquitos bites in the morning. I have told the staff and they came to “fix” the issue two days later. Ants count drastically reduced, but still existing; and two mosquitoes 4) water pressure in the shower is intermittent 5) people on the outside can see the silhouette of your body when you shower. And it is not apparently there is a curtain that you are supposed to drawn down 6) cleaning only happens on the 4th days, not everyday 7) and if you look closely, there are cobwebs everywhere 8) there is no lift and you are supposed to lug the luggage all the way up to your room 9) the accommodation is rather remote. You are supposed to walk into the alley. Can be rather daunting especially at night 10) probably English is not their main language, but they do come across rather rude. I was not the only one who felt that they are rude. And if u are unable to compile in a timely fashion, they will threaten to cancel the booking. This is honestly the most off putting reason

• Karina (1/5): Don’t recommend - I can’t say what I like at the property, because the manager canceled our room when we were sitting on the porch of the property. The manager asked to pay in cash and he can’t be there for payment by card. We had to find another option last moment. So, be aware if you book a room there you need to have cash. Otherwise you would be kicked. Also they ask to upload passport in Google form. It’s not data secure channel.

We were on 4th floor and there is only stairs, it is hard work to get 23kg cases up to the top. The staff did help on arrival, just be aware if you are not strong enough to do this.

• Sofia (9/5): Dreamy little hotel, highly recommended - I can whole-heartedly recommend this property! It was clean, very stylish and well designed, located in a sweet little alley yet close to many bars and restaurants in the area. This was really one of the best stays of our entire trip to SE Asia. Communication was really good and easy too: one evening, the lights weren’t working on the stairs and it took one message to get it fixed. If you don’t mind walking the stairs and have no mobility issues, book it without hesitation. No elevator which might be difficult, especially because the steps are quite narrow. There was an iron in the room but no ironing board, which seems a little counter-intuitive. Don’t leave any food out, because ants will find their way :) none of this ruined our impressions of this wonderful hotel.

• Gabrielle (8/5): Value for money, clean little apartment - We stayed for 6 nights, it is a clean little apartment. Toilet was also clean! The TV had streaming services like netflix. The office is downstairs, and staff are very responsive! There is a gate + a locked door for security The location is in District 1, and convenient to grab from. It's in a small alley so you would have to alight at C Brewmaster and walk in. There were quite a few ants on our first few nights, but when we told the staff about the issue, they helped us to get rid of them 😅

We stayed at 2nd floor. Our top neighbors were very active at night, wearing high heels and having fun….made the night to a motel stay in hostel area :-(. Luckily just one out of 4 nights.

The chicken in the early mornings, likely due to the bad sound insulation for high pitch noises. It was alright at first but for 5 days in a row it was a little too much for me having those loud caw sounds around 4am-8am in the morning ruining my sleep. Might want to opt in for the lower floors as the top floor one was always tiring when you come back from a whole day out

This information was shared only once we made the booking. Also, there is no housekeeping or cleaning service if you stay less than 4 days. If you want your room cleaned, you have to pay.
