Guest Reviews
- Chris (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again upon returning to Firenze. - Although we did not cook, it was nice to have a full kitchen to do so if we wished. The washing machine was very helpful! Linens were good quality. Lots of hot water! It was a clean, modern place to stay. Very nice. It was situated next door to a nightclub so it could be very noisy at night. Also, the insulation from outside/window was poor so the outside street noise came through easily. The owner/leasing agent did provide packages of ear plugs by the bedside for this reason. However, I found I was so tired after a day of sightseeing the noise didn’t bother me.
- Stephen (9/5): - Everything really, The noisy music from the club next door mainly the drum and bass beat till about mid night or a little later.
- Sharna (7/5): Nice and central, clean, kind staff. - I loved the location in the city. I liked the set up of the room. Washing machine was a bonus. I love the loft style bedroom, so modern. Easy to enter apartment and amazing reception staff - they were so lovely. I would warn anyone that you’d need to adapt to the Italian routine when staying- party into the nights and sleep in during the mornings. The street noise can be loud at night time. They are kind to provide ear plugs that worked really well.
- Carole (10/5): Highly recommended - Comfortable, fantastic location and excellent host. Fully equipped kitchen
- Elena (7/5): It was ok - It’s spacious. It was nice to have a living room. It’s in the centre. It was warm. It is located right above the night club. So it’s very noisy at night. You need to use ear plugs! But even in general it’s not great to have noise in your room.
Cutlery and plates were not clean.
Bathroom wasn’t that comfortable. There is a big cupboard above the sink and no space for your head.
Shutters on windows were closed and you can’t open them because windows are locked. So there was no day light in the room :(
- Mary (9/5): Great stay for solo traveling! - I loved how perfectly it was situated near everything of interest. It’s just around the corner from the church of Santa Croce, and only an 8 minute walk from the duomo. I didn’t like the noise of the bar downstairs.
- Denis (6/5): Acacia Firenze - almost OK - Location excelent. Apartment big enough with all equipment needed. Also clean. Staff friendly and helpful. So, you want to sleep ? Probably not going to hapen, because the windows practicaly let all the sound from the street inside - that is why earplugs are provided by the bed. But on the bright side- you hear all the music from the bar nearby :)
Then there is the curious case of the light switches - there is a small instruction manual needed, to be able to find all the light switches and the logic behind them, to be able to use the light.
And last, the bed.It is a double matress bed, but the matresses keep siding apart. So it can hapen , that you will wake up laying in the middle on the wood floor of the bed.
- Michael (8/5): It’s a fun place to be regardless of the noise. - The location is perfect with restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. It very close to Santa Croce and only minutes away from the Duomo and Uffizi. I read earlier reviews about the noise levels in the street. At times it was very loud with party goers just below the window. We managed to sleep anyway. If you are a light sleeper you would be in trouble. But, you can always go out and join the party.
- Stephen (10/5): Our stay was just about perfect will definitely come back. - Location was just about perfect for us
With a wonderful restaurant almost directly opposite great food and great staff especially Enzo the manager lovely fellow and attentive to my partners need for glutton free meals . The club next door with its drum and bass music into the early hours . Although it didn’t bother us but might upset others.
- Ivan (8/5): Very good - We were very happy with our stay- would highly recommend to those staying in Florence! The location was perfect- walking distance to the Duomo and other key attractions, while being a bit removed from the busy area/ hustle and bustle.
The space itself was great- access to a full bathroom, washing machine, kitchen and a comfortable bedroom and seating space.
Wonderful host who met us upon check-in and recommended different activities and places to eat!
- Eamon (8/5): Very good - Diana and the team were great with communication and sending the info we needed in advance. The apartment is adorable and we appreciated the amenities, especially the coffee maker and laundry. It’s a great space for a multiple day stay in Florence. We loved the map they made and gave to us with great spots to visit. They also very kindly helped us book a taxi on our last day. We could get everywhere we needed by walking and so many cool things to see in the neighborhood!
Very clean also and had everything we needed! I would definitely stay here again! Be advised that if you want to use the sofa bed they will charge extra for the linens, which should probably be advertised up front in the listing.
We were scrambling to find the city trash receptacle on our last day to bring out our trash! Maybe don’t leave that part to the last minute lol.
Also if you are trying to go to sleep anytime before midnight, it is very loud from the street with clubs/bars. My friend said it was like “sleeping in the club” for her. Maybe bring some earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.
- Raul (7/5): We liked the proximity to sites of interest, but the “Green Bar” located directly below our floor was enough to spoil th - Excellent geographical location to reach many desirable landmarks and interesting museums, restaurants and shopping. Spacious property with useful amenities. Hosting staff was helpful and easy to reach and responded in a timely manner. Unfortunately, in spite of the aforementioned positives, the loud noise created by the downstairs bar (one floor directly below) from 10:00 pm until 3:00 or even later in the morning was enough to keep us from sleeping restfully during the 10 nights we leased the property. We had to use the ear-plugs provided by the hostess upon arrival plus our noise cancelling headphones to mitigate the loud music and yelling caused by the bar patrons. One other negative was the fact that the bedroom is located on a loft upstairs (accessible by a very steep spiral stairs) and the only bathroom was located on the main level. If you need to use the facility in the middle of the night it was cumbersome and inconvenient to say the least.
- Wei (8/5): A cozy place to stay right next to Santa Croce at center of Florence - Location, right next to the Santa Croce Cathedral. Location, a bit noisy outside at night, and expensive.
- Roman (9/5): Superb -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (10/5): Excellent location - I would recommend this place if you don't mind climbing stairs to get to bed. - There was no breakfast included but Nespresso pods were provided. Loved that the property had a lift however there were never any lights on once inside the door so we wandered in the dark whenever we came home at night. The staff were excellent arranging for a taxi next morning for a tour we had booked, and again when we left as they seem in very short supply. They were very helpful with restaurant advice and had a great map for us. Loved the location as far as restaurants and close to the sights but it was far from the train so we had to take 4 taxis during our stay as a result. Cute little kitchen area, nice bathroom and having a washing machine and drying rack and internet was great. Overall great value. We had heavy luggage and took a taxi from the train to the office as requested. After filling out all the paperwork we had to walk about a block and a half to get to our apartment. We were exhausted by the time we got settled. The unit was dark compared to the bright photos I had seen. The street was noisy at night with partying going on till well past midnight. Air conditioner was great as it drowned out the noise but was very loud itself. I slept on the pullout couch and it was every bit as awful as one would expect. At 70 it was not nice at all! I have trouble with stairs so my friend used the loft bed.
- William (10/5): Diana and the staff were great. super easy check in/out. - Great location. clean, great set up for a couple.
- Christopher (8/5): Fiorentini for a week :) - Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location. Close to all the major museums and landmarks. Great restaurants, bars and supermarkets close-by. Well furnished kitchen if you wish to eat in for a change. Bus stops only a few steps away and also a taxi station at the nearby Piazza Santa Croce which made it really easy for us to get back to the airport. The air conditioner had some issues the last few days of our stay, so the apartment got quite hot at times. Given the amazingly central location, the street outside was lively and noisy for most part of the night, but that was to be expected.
