• Barbora (5/5): Great location, but unacceptable cleanliness - We stayed in this apartment hoping for a peaceful and authentic Venetian experience, and in terms of location, it certainly delivered. Nestled in a quiet part of Venice, surrounded by tranquil canals and local businesses, it offers a welcome escape from the more tourist-heavy areas. It’s also conveniently close to a vaporetto stop, making access to the city center easy and stress-free. The apartment itself is bright and benefits from a lovely view of the canal, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end. The listing appears to capitalize heavily on its location while neglecting the essential aspects of maintenance and cleanliness. The property is in serious need of a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. Tiles in the shower were visibly dirty, and the general upkeep was far below acceptable standards. One of the more disappointing discrepancies was the advertised coffee machine. Photos clearly mention a Nespresso machine, but only a basic moka pot was available—something we consider misleading. However, what was truly unacceptable was the state of the bed linens. Despite a review from a previous guest highlighting the same issue, we were appalled to find the sheets stained with what appeared to be blood from past guests. This is not just an oversight; it is a serious hygiene violation and a complete disregard for guest well-being. As someone who rents out two properties myself, I was deeply shocked. There is no excuse for this, especially after prior warnings. In summary, while the apartment has potential and enjoys a wonderful location, its condition and cleanliness fall drastically short of what one would expect—especially given the high rating it currently holds. Until the host starts taking guest feedback seriously and addresses these critical issues, I cannot recommend this accommodation.
• Rani (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the location, it was a perfect balance of lively but not touristic. The home is gorgeous and artistic, and it's sunny. The rules for throwing out trash were very confusing and hard to follow -- would have loved if the property could be responsible for trash instead.
• Θανάσης (10/5): 7 easy going days at Ca' Boldo - San Polo, Venice - location is perfect. Quiet zone, 5 min walk to vaporetto Line1, two marvellous piazzas near buy with excellent trattorias, COOP, and cafe shops. The appartment is very comfortable, sunny, and fully equipped. Kitchen is perfect. The TV could be upgraded to a smart TV and this is the only I can think as improvement.

• Ivona (1/5): Not welcoming and inconvenient, overall disappointing - - Location - Renovated apartment - The host did not want to accomodate few hours to leave our luggage only. In fact, I wrote them via booking and whatsapp, as well as discussed upon arrival to leave the luggage. After agreeing, some time later they informed me this is however not possible. After I wrote them again, they said it is okay. So overall it is a saga, problematic and not polite. - We were instructed lengthy about how to dispose of the garbage and to leave the kitchen clean. Items which I believe should be taken care by the property and not by the guest. - Upon arrival lengthy lecture - on how not to slump the door, dispose garbage and electricity. Not even a mention of the items of interest for a tourist. - In the bathroom, there is no recycle bin nor shower gel. Overall, I am disappointed as I did not feel treated as a guest but rather as an intruder.

• Ivan (9/5): Spectacular central apartment with all you need. Minor gripes. - This was a beautiful apartment in the center of Venice with easy access to all areas. Paola was great and met me when I go a little lost with maps. Be warned that Maps can be a little inaccurate at times. Still great. The apartment was clean and had all that I needed. It was spacious and as advertised. The views are lovely (I'm a photographer so it's important to me). It was tranquil and well-decorated. There's a supermarket only 5 minutes' walk away that has all you need for your stay so if you're on a budget, this is excellent. Communication was great. Even with Maps, it was tricky to find. However, that was an issue with maps. Paola had to come and meet me when I got close. I think an ariel photo with 'x' marks the spot would help in future. Only two rings on the cooker were working and this was explained. It wasn't too bad. On the first night the heating didn't seem to work and the owner came around to help. This was very much appreciated. The second night the same and I had to keep increasing the temperature. No big shakes. I'm a very clean person, but the obsession with how recycling works here is a big negative for me and the fact that you have to make sure you're in for rubbish collection is not good. How everthing has to be separated. There really needs to be a better process. I'm here on holiday, not to learn and practice recycling. I do all that in my normal life. Also, it states that if you can't be in, there's a local drop off point but I could not find it and in the end, a kind shopkeeper took my rubbish. Again, an ariel photo map with 'x' marks the spot or a maps pin location would be great. To be asked to leave the kitchen in the way you found it seems unreasonable to me as cleaning the apartment should be in the price. I ran two airbnb properties in Brighton for a few years and we always had cleaners in. It's part of the service provided. So was not happy about feeling like I had to be their cleaner. As I had to leave at 4.30am, it's impractical to expect the final rubbish to be taken care of. This need to be fixed.

Was equipped with all the essential items we needed. -bedsheets were dirty/not changed -floors were not very clean -garbage removal was complicated and inconvenient
