Guest Reviews

- Brissa (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very welcoming and friendly. He recommended best routes and places to visit during our stay. Overall, a great experience.
- Noel (9/5): Superb -
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good experience at Maru’s apartment - Pros:
Location: The apartment is ideally situated, just a short walk from Saint Peter’s Basilica, making it perfect for sightseeing.
Safety: My niece and I felt very safe during our stay as the owner lives in the same building. He welcomed us warmly and provided a thorough tour of the apartment.
Spaciousness: The apartment is quite spacious, providing plenty of room to relax.
Comfort: The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Cons:
Payment Method: I didn’t realize that credit cards were not accepted for payment. The wire transfer from my bank incurred an additional $45 fee, which was an unexpected cost.
Accessibility: The apartment is on the second floor, which I didn’t notice beforehand. Thankfully, the owner was kind enough to help us with our luggage.
Amenities: While there were some cookies, bread, and coffee provided, there was no cream or sugar. Additionally, the walking shower was quite slippery.
Air Conditioning: There are individual AC units in each room, but unfortunately, they were not working during our stay. Luckily nights are cooler so I was able to leave the windows open.
- Hania (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (7/5): Good - Location. The owner practicing piano was delightful. The apartment needed more attention to cleanliness. A suggestion would be to have an air freshener at the entrance.
- Whaler (9/5): Overall our stay was great. Patrizio is a great host. - The rooms were nice and big and the bathroom was spacious also. The balcony was nice but could be a little cleaner.
- Ciprian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tomáš (8/5): All is OK! - Very nice place. Don´t know.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariela (9/5): Highly recommended! Thank you Patrizio for the recommendations, Prosecco and piano music :) - Traditional and very atmospheric apartment close to San Pietro Basilica in a beautiful and safe neighborhood of Rome. Great views from the windows, nice small balcony. The owner Patrizio, who is a pianist, was extremely friendly, gave us useful recommendations for a restaurant nearby (the Goose) and directions for the buses to Termini station (bus 64) and the city center. He had also left coffee and tea in the kitchen and some brioche buns. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the beds very comfortable. The ceilings are very high, so it can get a little cold at night, but ask for additional blankets and Patrizio will provide them right away. Excellent Wi-Fi. Maybe some heating when the nights get colder.
- Sinar (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful, traditional Roman apartment with a wonderful owner. Our apartment, close to Vatican, was very spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. And most importantly Patrizio made us feel at home. If we visit Rome again we will definitely stay at his place. Grazie mille per tutto :)
- Silvia (5/5): Nice Unit but need A LITTLER IMPROVMENT TO MAKE IT GREAT AT NOT MUCH COST. - I WAS VERY CLOSE TO THE VATICAN. Fairly close to San Pietro Train Station. Good restaurants in close proximity. Has a nice balcony with table and chairs. Internet was good. NOT handicaps accessible. Skinny Stairs to the Upper Floor and a lot of them. Owner give you only ONE set of Keys. We where 2 couples and it was difficult to organize keys...Cash ONLY and needed to transfer 200.- EURO prior arrival. Late entry charge is 40.- EURO.
We arrived 22:40 pm. NO dishtowels to dry dishes, gave us paper towels after requesting dishtowels. No lock on the Bathroom door. No plug to kitchen sink to wash dishes. A REGULAR coffee machine would be great. No freezer so not ice.
- Cronje (8/5): Very good -
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petra (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect!
- Julita (10/5): Highly recommend this apartment to everyone, I would describe the overall experience as delightful. The host is one of t - Cc
- Chai (10/5): Thank you to the host of Maru Apartment for making our stay comfortable. Everything is perfect. - Friendly host, nice big rooms and easy access (on foot) from Maru Apartment to the basilica.
- Ricardo (9/5): Superb - Good location.
Nice restaurants in a 10m walk distance
- Mirjana (9/5): Superb - Mr. Patrizio was very helpful for our stay. Tips for choosing a restaurant as well as other tips were excellent. The beds are extremely comfortable and the surroundings are peaceful.
- James (10/5): Great place to stay - Very nice spacious and close to the Vatican
- Naidion (9/5): Superb -
- Pl_micjal (10/5): Very nice place near Vatican - Very good location, good recomendation for restaurant nearby from landlord. Beds could be more comfortable.
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb -
- Rossi (10/5): Perfection - The gentleman who runs the property (maybe the owner) was the best part! the home is lovely and large and the beds are super comfy but listening to him play piano through the window and hear his laugh and see his smile was the best!
- Armine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nida (10/5): All the things you can imagine are perfect. - We love the traditional and elegant Rome apartment. The rooms are big and confortable. All the opportunities are luxurious. The location, safety, the house owner and attitudes are so good and welcoming. Thanks a lot.. We love as a whole.. There is no negative side.
- Gev (7/5): Good - The apartment is quite big and beautiful. The location is good, close to Vatican city. The area is quite, without noices. The host lady that I was communicating via online, was so rude. First she wrote me that for late check-in we need to pay extra 20 euro, but then that 20 euro become 40 euro. Except that first she asked me to transfer a part of money via bank transfer, which is impossible from Armenia. The shower didn't work normal. We stayed in the house 3 days, and didn't take normal shower, because it was not working.
- T (7/5): Nice host, quiet neighbourhood, convenience to taxi was not ideal - Quiet, nice neighbourhood Cannot easily grab a taxi outside the house
- Niiba (10/5): Relaxed stay near Vatican - We loved the apartment. It was beautiful, air conditioning was working, shower was nice, there was coffee to drink in the mornings. Location is very near Vatican and you can walk or take bus (number 46) to centre. Owner is also very nice :) Grazie!
