• Stephanie (8/5): Beautiful property, excellent location, super helpful and friendly host! - Excellent location - Just over a mile walk to the main attractions. Really clean throughout. Excellent facilities. Nicely laid out apartment. Our host was super friendly and helpful. Kept in touch throughout. Instructions how to get to the property clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend staying here. 1) Just beware that if you have the apartment which faces the road, you will get quite a bit of noise from outside. But it wasn’t too much of an issue with earplugs. 2) On the last night and morning before we left, the hot water wasn’t coming on so we couldn’t have a shower. However, our host did ask us if the water was hot. If we weren’t leaving, I would have messaged and he would have sorted it out - so not too much of a problem. Just a mild inconvenience.

• Beardsmore (10/5): A traditional property and homely stay with large rooms and beautiful balcony - a 20-25 minute walk to Florence. - We booked the 2 bedroom apartment. This was such a beautiful homely property, with large rooms and a tremendous balcony overlooking some beautiful gardens. The property is across the road from a supermarket, and approximately a 20-25 minute walk to the duomo area of Florence. The property owners/ liaison (Niccolò) went above and beyond, providing information over WhatsApp before check-in and providing lots of information and tips to explore Florence when we arrived. Niccolò also couldn’t have been any kinder on our final day when we had quite a stressful experience whilst on a day-trip and needed to return to the property even though we had checked out. We were so grateful for this kindness. Thank you again. We liked it all.

• Silkinis (10/5): Wonderful stay in Florence ! - We had a fantastic time at this beautiful apartment - it was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The host was very kind and helpful, making check-in and our entire stay easy and pleasant. The location is excellent: very close to the city center, yet surrounded by a few lovely local restaurants that aren’t tourist traps. Parking is available on the street (paid), and it was convenient for exploring both Florence and the rest of Tuscany. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!
• Alex (10/5): Sweet Stay Outside Busy City Centre - Location was great. Outside the busy city centre with a great cafe on the corner and massive super market just around the corner. Tram & Bus stations super close and a nice 30 min walk into centre. Terrace was lovely and big. Bedrooms were a good. More toilet roll but apart from that 10/10
• Beth (8/5): Overall, a pleasant stay in a convenient enough location. - The location was good with about a half hour walk to places of interest; we were able to rely on walking throughout our stay. The host was flexible and responsive to our delayed check-in and rendering payment when we were not able to arrange a mutually workable in-person meeting. A couple of bathroom notes: though there was a small stand with hair dryer – it would be helpful to have a more substantial stand or shelf for toiletries as well as door hooks on which to place clothing and towels while showering. The hot water in the shower seemed to diminish prematurely. Finally, the bedroom in the upper area facing the front of the property was subject to late night noise from congregating youth and early morning what seemed to be construction of some sort.
• Lettieri (10/5): Hermosísimo!! - El departamento es hermoso, muy luminoso y cómodo. Tiene una terracita donde se puede disfrutar del sol al aire libre rodeado de verde. Niccolo fue super amable en todo momento y nos consiguió un taxi para irnos (todo un desafío). Hay ascensor para subir las maletas, posee lavadero y plancha. La ubicación es muy buena, con supermercado a la vuelta. Se llega caminando al duomo, batisterio y museos. Excelente!!!! Grazie mille, Niccolo!! Todo bien.

Lo consiglierei 👍 Da curare meglio la pulizia generale della cucina, le stoviglie risentono dell'usura dei vari ospiti e andrebbero rinnovate. • StevieDC (9/5): A authentic Italian experience - We loved the old fashioned style and feel of the place. A nice change from modern apartments. An eclectic choice that won't suit everyone but was just what we were looking for. It felt very Italian. The place is huge compared to others and it felt like a proper apartment that you could live in. Perfect for Florence! Could do with updating some more of the electric sockets. A couple of them are coming away from the wall which could be dangerous, especially for children. Although there is a stand up shower in the second bathroom, it would be nice to have a shower screen in the main bathroom so you could shower comfortably there. It looks like there used to be one so it would be good to replace.

Niccolò, the host, was always available to answer questions and provided great local knowledge on restaurants, shops etc. Additional cutlery, cups and oven trays would be useful. Disappointing. - • The air conditioning worked well. • A Conad supermarket is nearby. • There is a washer available for laundry. The apartment had several disappointing aspects that weren’t obvious from the photos. • No parking available—guests must either park on the street or pay for a garage nearby. • Bring your own cookware: the provided pans are old and heavily burned. • No dishwashing detergent is supplied. • Two toilets, one small bathroom, and the shower curtain was broken. • No hooks or racks to hang towels in either bathroom. • The larger bathroom had no curtain at all, and again, no place for towels. • Shampoo and toiletries are not provided. • Several electrical outlets were broken, and the number of working ones was limited. • The apartment was quite expensive for what it offered—not good value for the price. • It had poor lighting and outdated furniture. • The light fixture and the filter above the stove were dirty and worn out. The range hood does not work. • Kitchen issues: old silverware, no coffee spoons, no dish towels or cloths, and the walls were visibly dirty—not as clean as shown in the pictures. • The bed was old and uncomfortable, and the “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together. • There was a coffee machine, but no pods provided.

Walking distance from old town (20min) Noice in early morning as windows open to the super market parking lot, so couple of morning there was so much noise which didn't allow to sleep. • Sofia (9/5): Italian-style atmosphere - The location is pretty close to the centre. I really like the atmosphere, it sort of Italian style and it perfectly matches the holiday’s vibe . I think facilities are pretty old-fashioned and we couldn’t use the plugs because some of them were not working and even dangerous to use.

Responsive and friendly staff - team gave us local recommendations and were always available for any questions. The location was also superb, a walking distance from all the major sights, yet very quiet. The air conditioner was not working properly at all times

• Ruijs (8/5): Great accomodation, maybe not for really tall people. - The apartment had everything you could need during a vacation. A cute little balcony, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Owner was very nice and helpful. Location was calm and not too much in the touristy centre. We could easily get to the old centre using shared e-scooters. The beds/matresses move apart from one another quite easily, leaving a gap in the middle. Leaving you with two small seperate beds instead of sleeping together in one large bed. The apartment is not made for tall people. My boyfriend and I are both over 1.80cm (he is almost 2 meter) and our ankles were always hanging over the edge of the bed. The stone door to the kitchen is also quite low which led to some unfortunate headbutting.
• Mary (8/5): Thanks Niccolò - Lovely and clean and spacious . Everything we needed . Comfortable and bright. Niccolò was an excellent host and had maps and info ready for us . He was so accommodating for and arranged a taxi for us to leave. We loved the apartment . The walk to city centre was a fair walk 15-20 mins but there are buses if you want them . Isn’t far except after 18,000 steps ! There is a car park and supermarket loading bay opposite and it was noisy with lorry movement and reversing noise . Unfortunately 2 mornings there was also drain cleaning that started very early and was loud. We needed our sleep after the long days of walking ! The last morning we left early ! This was a shame and hopefully would not always be like this luck of the draw !

• Simon (10/5): Comfortable flat within easy reach of the centre - The owners were very kind and gave a warm welcome. The flat had everything you need: good bathroom, comfortable bedroom, quiet location. After a while it began to feel like home; it was good to get back there at the end of the day. Everything was fine. Maybe one or two slightly more modern pots and pans would improve the kitchen, but it's perfectly functional as it is.

• Corina (10/5): I would surely return - big appartment with big terrace in a classic building. we loved our stay at Bartolomeo for a few reasons - clear, quick communication with the host - the appartment has everything you need, well equipped - the atmosphere (loved being in an appartment that is not impersonal) - close to good supermarket and some good restos - 15 minutes stroll to the city center (there are busses but we have not used them), in a residential neighbourhood - it was well heated - great value for money nothing in this category, really, from my perspective, but it's also a matter of taste. If you want a minimalistic design, with everything modern or to be in the city center it may not be the right choice

• Nydia (3/5): Poor - The first day of our arrival I noticed that the apartment building is not in a good area. Once inside the building the staircase is filthy, there is dirt accumulated on each step and it looks like it is been like that for a long time. The lights in the staircase kept on turning off so it was dark and difficult for us to find the switch to turn the light back on. Inside the apartment I noticed that it had not been cleaned, the bedspread had spots, the furniture has not been dusted for a long time, the bottom of the furniture has grime from dust accumulated over months or even years. The toilet seat was falling, when I sent a complaint to Booking the proprietor came to put a new seat. The mouldings on the walls are full of dust. The kitchen oven was not clean either with stuff stuck to the pan. The owner never explained how the gas stove/oven works, when I asked him about it, he sent me a link of Amazon with the picture of a lighter. I'm terrified of gas appliances anyway so I could not cook in the apartment. The main purpose of renting an apartment is to have a kitchen that I can use. The small patio was dirty and the window shutters are falling apart, so we could not use it. The pictures advertising this place were very misleading. We thought we were going to be in one of those buildings with access to the gardens, but it was entirely not the case. It is a lie that the owner took serious measures to keep it clean to protect guests against Covid-19. The place was not disinfected.

• Anonymous (8/5): Lovely spacious apartment near the centre of Florence. - Good size, good facilities, the host was very friendly and gave some great recommendations for places to visit in Florence. Good location, close to a big supermarket and could walk from there into the centre in about 25 minutes. It could have done with a few more kitchen supplies such as glasses and bowls. WiFi was quite slow as well.

Bathrooms, no towl rails or hooks to hang clothes or towels while you shower. Both bathrooms get very wet. One has a shower curtain that is not big enough and the second doesn't have anything. Needs new crockery, chipped and cracked . Bad need of redecorating.

• Chuck (8/5): We would stay at this place again if those small issues are addressed - Magnificent and typical Italian condo-style house nicely located, 11-12 ft ceiling, large living room and dining room with lot of space. Access to the private backyard. The host Niccolo's assistant Lorenzo was flexible and amazing, provided answers to all our questions ... a very nice guy to meet. Only small issues: Missing toiletries items and kitchen items on arrival such as shower gel, towels, cooking oil etc. Promptly provided the next day by the host. Missing functional bulbs in many places (this place is a bit dark at night) and the host had acknowledged that. Would love to have a more furnished kitchen for items such as dishes, utensils and glasses etc. Although functional, this place is quite old so some maintenance works would make it lovely again.

• Jonna (8/5): Charming vintage apartment in a great location - Spacious and great location. The bedrooms were huge! Washer enabled us to do laundry. Needs more kitchen utensils. The sofa bed in the living room was quite uncomfortable.

• Jill (8/5): Great time in Florence enhanced by staying at at Bartolomeo which was close to a bust stop supermarket and within walki - Great location in grand old mansion close to bus stop but walkable to most sights in Florence. Particularly useful was the nearby supermarket. Our contact Niccolo was very helpful.
• Ewa (9/5): nice stay - nicely designed, place, clean. Very clear instruction how to enter. Calm area around. Comfortable bed upstairs. not enough kitchen equipment: plates, cubs - for 3 people.

• Anonymous (8/5): Lovely quiet week in Florence. - The property was clean,cool and overall nice. Niccolò was really helpful and attentive. The little terrasse was really enjoyable in the evening. 20 min by walk from the center and the super market was 2min away. The two terrasses didn’t have much separation between them so we could see our neighbours when outside. I think the garden could use a little trim. The kitchen pots are very old and falling apart, missing lids and handles.
