Guest Reviews
- Toma (8/5): 最高のローマの部屋 -
- Laura (10/5): On our next visit to Rome, this apartment will be the obvious choice. - The view from the terrace was enchanting. The apartment is right in the city center. Everything is close by. The owner Ari was very kind and helpful. Everything was great.
- Gavin (10/5): A homely apartment with a great roof terrace in an ideal location to explore Rome - This is an apartment which gives the sense of being a real home. The rooms have character in their furnishings and the kitchen is well equiped, including some basic essentials (tea, coffee, salt, oil etc), to allow allow for cooking. For me this was ideal, rather than an apartment blandly refurbished as a holiday letting.
The "stars" of the apartment are it's terraces. A small balcony, large enough for a table for two, opens directly off the bedroom. A large private roof terrace, equiped with chairs and oevrlooking the rooftops of Rome, is seperately accessed from the communal stairway. A great place at sunset or for breakfast. Although the terrace is not directly accessed from the apartment, there are no other apartments on the sixth floor, or above, so access feels reasonably private and convenient.
Monti is an excellent place to be based as all the historic areas are within walking distance but the apartment is also very close to Cavour metro station for those wanting to travel further, and within walking distance of Termini station which is convenient for arrival and departure.
Ari was a great host and communicated very effectively for the check-in as well as giving useful advise on the local area. The apartment is at the top of the building on the sixth floor and without a lift. This should be obvious, but for those who have diffculty climbing stairs, or have heavy or bulky luggage this would be difficult. For me, as an averagely fit, middle-aged person with light luggage, it was fine!
- Acb (9/5): Superb - Amazing view from the apartment and a great location for bars/restaurants and just a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum.
Metro just up the road- great location for exploring Rome.
Cosy apartment with lovely terraces and Ari was very helpful and welcoming- lovely hostess.
- Sc (10/5): Would stay again if I’m ever in Rome again! - Private and beautiful patio and rooftop. Ari was very nice and communicative! It was on the top floor. A bit of a workout but worth it haha
- David (10/5): A gem of a place in a perfect spot for Colosseum and many other landmarks and museums. - The two outside areas one (larger than a balcony) veranda outside the bedroom and large split level outside space on the roof with many flowers and shrubs and great views over the city.
The other big plus is that even in an area where there are many bars, restaurants, foot traffic and vehicles, once the bedroom shutters and French doors are closed it is absolutely silent inside enabling an undisturbed nights sleep.
Arianna is a fantastic host, a lovely genuine person and the place is like someone's home not some sterile 'Air BnB' or hotel B&B.
The Metro station (Cavour) is only a 150 metres or so from the apartment and with easy access I must stress that the privacy, the escape from the hustle and bustle whilst still in the centre of all the action and rooftop space with views comes at a price. That price is the fact that there is no lift and the apartment is on the top (6th) floor. Therefore for anyone with mobility problems, heart issues, breathing problems this is a 'no-no'. That said, after 5 days we both noticed our fitness levels had improved :-) but we were also disadvantaged due to the heatwave that persisted during our stay making any physical exertion more difficult.
- Fabio (10/5): The best place to stay with a view in Rome - If you are visiting Rome, then make sure you don't miss this hidden gem in the heart of Rome as it is by far the best place for you to stay. The flat is very well located in the lovely neighborhood of Monti, just a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum and in front of a tube station as well (Cavour). The apartment has a lovely wooden coffered ceiling, which is very typical of Roman houses, and above all two balconies: one at the apartment level next to the bedroom with a nice small table and some chairs to start the day with a coffee while reading perhaps a book and enjoying the view of surrounding areas (see picture below), and an incredible private rooftop on the upper floor which offers even more amazing views of Rome's skyline including the Vittoriano monument which very few places (if any to be fair) can offer. On top of that, the owner (Arianna) is very kind and dedicated and goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is as perfect as it can possibly be. 10/10 Grazie! Not even a single thing - I wish we could have stayed longer but no doubt that we will come back!
- Trent (10/5): I've been traveling to Italy for years, and this place is an absolute must! -
