• Layla (7/5): - Nice quiet location. Large property and rooms. Lots of good restaurants close by as well as a supermarket Feels like it would benefit from a bit of modernisation. Kitchen facilities could have been a bit better i.e., there weren't any teatowels or oven gloves provided. You're reliant on a water taxis to access any of the main areas, which obviously comes at a cost so factor that into your stay

• Jonathan (8/5): Good location for a quiet stay - We wanted an apartment in a less touristy area with easy access to Venice itself. The apartment is ideally situated on Giudecca island and is easy to get to from Piazzale Roma within 20 minutes using the vaporetto on Line 4.1 The apartment is cool and quiet and step free on the ground floor. There are a number of restaurants and bars locally and the trip to Venice proper only takes 10 minutes by vaporetto. All ground floor properties in Venice apparently suffer from a degree of damp according to one tour guide. It is an inherent aspect of Venetian life. There is no sign of damp in this property but a slight lingering musty smell persists. The property has no canal view as all windows look out of the rear overlooking adjacent building. Natural light is therefore limited and the kitchen area in particular is rather dark even with the lights on. A safe box with a keypad was provided but we could not use it as the battery had gone flat. The owner was made aware but the unit wasn’t replaced during our short stay. Lighting in the bathroom was adequate but the mirror lights above the handbasin did not work which was disappointing. The only other issue was that the door lock was stiff and hard to operate. Overall the facilities provided were adequate for our needs but the general condition suggests a lack of attention to detail. Having said that the price was about right.

• Nina (9/5): Superb - Very good host who communicated well and was always available. The flat is spacious and in a good location next to the Hilton. It was particularly nice to have a combination of beds to suit our family's needs. We really enjoyed our time there. Giudecca is great. It has plenty of restaurants and a great coffee breakfast place near the vaporetto stop. Although you will need to use boats more to get back and forth, it is such fun to be on the water and to sit looking at the water. A peaceful haven from tourist season on the main island. Would stay again. All fine.

• Ailish (8/5): Amazing value - The apartment is spacious, clean and in a nice area. Both Alberto, the owner, and Gianni, who let us in, were exceedingly helpful. The area was lovely and quiet, but because it is not on the main island, there is an extra water bus journey involved each time you come and go from the main island. It is not a major inconvenience, and the price more than makes up for it.

• Laura (9/5): Wonderful quiet room, spacious and excellent host! - This apartment was beautiful: clean and spacious with a fully equiped kitchen, great size rooms and beautiful location. The host Alberto was so friendly, he helped us with everything! I wish we had known that the closest stop was only for the one boat company, then perhaps we would have bought tickets for that instead of the Vaporetti. But it did not matter, it was no one’s fault!
