• Cassandra (9/5): Excellent location, comfort & well-equipped - A very well located apartment in Castello, 5 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco & the Rialto Bridge. Well equipped & comfortable, even with extras such as coffee & clothes washing liquid. I was met by my host at Rialto Bridge on arrival so I could easily find the apartment making my arrival stress-free after an early flight. The pillows were too hard for me. To have a spare soft pillow would be wonderful. Stairs to my second floor apartment may be challenging for some people.

Supermarkt direkt gegenüber...... man muss halt in den 3ten Stock rausgehen, aber in Venedig geht ohne Stiegen steigen ohnehin nichts. In ddr Dusche kann es ein bisschen eng werden. Wer in Venedig selbst kochen will findet alles, aber wer will das wirklich. Tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis für Venedig - und die Gastgeberin ist über WhatsApp sehr gut zu erreichen und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Klare Empfehlung

The apartment is in a great location, not far from Piazza San Marco and just about a five-minute walk to the Rialto vaporetto stop. The kitchen is well appointed, the bathroom has a really nice shower, and the bedroom is quite large. Shutters can be closed at night and completely block out the light. Although the apartment is on a very busy street corner, it was quiet. n/a
• Paola (9/5): Confortevole e luminoso - L’appartamento è molto carino, luminoso, con una cucina ben attrezzata, la camera spaziosa con cabina armadio, le finestre con vetri camera tiene fuori il brusio della strada (comunque la notte è silenziosa). Si trova a poche centinaia di metri da San Marco e si può arrivare dappertutto a piedi, per me perfetto per il mio lavoro

A cinco minutos de plaza San Marco, del canal grande y de la parada Rialto, del vaporetto de y por el aeropuerto. • Tracey (9/5): Great place in Venice - This is a great appartment, it's in a good location. Excellent communication with owner. There is nice touches like tea and coffee, and herbs and spices if you want to cook , plus toiletries. There is a washing machine and washing tabs and cleaning supplies; these little extra were very greatly received! There is a Supermarket across and a nice pasta take away underneath. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe here. Nearest water bus stop 5 mins walk, and st marco square 5 mins walk also It can be hard to find, but that's Venice!! It's like a maze! If you come to the candy store 'captain candy' follow that road all the way to the end and the appartment is the last green door, with a pasta take away below it - hope that helps!

• Linnéa (10/5): Wonderful stay at Appartamento Goldoni - I loved the kitchen; everything worked well and was clean. I loved the location; a few minutes' walk from San Marco, it was still relatively quiet. I liked the bedroom and the feeling of coming home after a day wandering around Venice. I would be happy to stay here again. The toilet seat was very loose and came off a few times. If someone were to use it and slide off, there might be quite the accident. It needs some attention.

• Christine (10/5): Warm and welcoming stay in a very clean apartment - I loved how central the location was and the apartment had everything needed. It was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and basic cooking items like salt, spices (herbs), olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The market was just across the street and if you are exhausted like I was upon arrival there’s a pasta to go right downstairs. There were two comfy chairs and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice, good pressure and hot water. The desk was perfect for journaling when the rain became too much to be out in and the washing machine worked beautifully. There was even laundry soap available to use. It rained like crazy while I was there and I enjoyed being able to cook dinner and make a cup of coffee while listening to the rain outside. Taking the garbage out to the garbage boat was an experience too, not hard at all. Venice is incredible and this was a perfect place for my first time visiting there. I hope I can return again in the future.

• David (8/5): Nice apartment in a good area.Faulty front door lock. - The apartment was very comfortable and a really good size in a great area.Not to far from the major attractions.Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and the bonus a a good supermarket only a few yards away. The door leading into the apartment block was really difficult to open due to a faulty lock.This was a real problem and frustrating when returning at the end of the day.It took me a good 10-15 minutes to get the door to open more than a couple of times.Thet know about the problem but nothing has been done to address the it.Stressfull to say the least. Wandering if you are going to be able to get in.Not good. Be aware this is a big problem..

• Boukhatem (8/5): Great location and very clean - The location is amazing, central but not too noisy once you close the windows and the flat was exceptionally clean and had everything needed for a short stay. The twin beds pushed together were not very comfortable, kept drifting in between the space in the middle during the night. But overall it was okay, nothing you can't deal with for a few nights.
• Gerasimov (9/5): Great stay - It is the second time we stay at Appartamento Goldoni and hopefully not the last one. The location is probably one of the best possible in Venice. The host Giovanna is extremely kind and helpful, and the apartment has everything we need. Bed is comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped, air conditioner, washing machine and dish washer are functioning. Some noise occurred due to the front door banging on the ground floor. But it looks like it was a problem for us just because we went to bed quite early (at about 21:00) - it seems, that everything was quiet in the midnight :) Another minor problem was occasional water leakages from the ceiling in the bathroom.
• Jeannine (10/5): A marvelous stay in a stunningly beautiful city! - The owner was very accommodating and kind. She did all she could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I would love to come back to such a welcoming atmosphere with the excellent, central location. Giovanna provided a thorough binder for all basic information from all manuals for kitchen appliances, including washing machine, to maps to restaurant recommendations to garbage/ waste recycling procedures. She provided many extras such as coffee, tea, sugar, etc.. There were ample dishes, cups, glasses, towels, soaps, etc. and quite a variety of pots and pans. The hostess has obviously put her guests' needs in mind with beyond basics one finds in lodgings that are strictly a money makers. This was a wonderful stay. Grazie, Giovanna! Nothing. I had no complaints whatsoever.

The apartment had all the necessities required for a comfortable stay, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The host was very responsive and kind. Getting my suitcase up to the second floor was absolute killer as there is no life but you expect that in Italy so not a criticism, just a note for people.

• Anthony (9/5): Great Apertment for Stay in Venice - The apartment was spacious and comfortable. There was a fully stocked kitchen, which allowed me to prepare meals if I chose to do it. A market was a minute away to buy food. While it was in the center of the city, it was removed from the bigger city location that had a better selection of restaurants and shops. Still, that is probably not a big enough issue to overlook this fine property.

• Gerasimov (10/5): One of our best stays ever - Location is perfect - in the very heart of Venice. It's not too crowded, however really close to San Marco square as well as Rialto bridge and St. Giovanni and Paolo basilica. The nearest supermarket is from 1 minute walk. The top of Santa Maria Formosa bell tower is seen from windows. The bed and pillows are super comfortable, and kitchen is well equipped. The host was so kind that let us to check in early. No complaints about the quality or speed of WiFi.

Plenty of facilities that you wouldn't get in a hotel. Bathroom could use a touch up but nothing major. Shower and tap didn't run great and toilet seat was broken, but not enough to detract from the stay.

• Toni (10/5): Venice is for everyone for any age. - Location, space, connivence to everywhere grocery store right across the street. Renovations were top notch. Hot water, stocked kitchen, security, washer. TV was only in Italian. No space to put toiletries in bathroom.
• Clare (10/5): A perfect place to stay in Venice Thank you - Very helpful and friendly host of the property with good communication. The apartment is a short walk (6 mins) to the Rialto Bridge and the vaporetto (water bus) stop. The area is well lit, with people around. As a solo female traveller, it was perfect. Easy to access all other areas of Venice. There is a supermarket a few steps away on the opposite side of the narrow street, and a fresh pasta shop next door, with restaurants and shops nearby. Coffee and tea is provided, along with shampoo, soap, and washing powder. The apartment manual has clear information on the use of the appliiances, eg microwave and washing machine etc. The apartment is very clean, with plenty of soft white towels provided. The bed was so comfortable, with spotless white sheets and pillows. I love Venice, my first trip, and felt sad to leave today. .I wanted to thank Lillia, in particular, for her help and being so kind. Would definitely recommend Appartmento Goldoni. Thank you. Only a couple of things - the electric kettle plug was positional. The soap dish in the shower kept falling off, so may need a new one.

• Daniel (8/5): Perfect location wise - the location cannot be beaten - 5 mins walk from St Marks Square and a supermarket 20 feet from the apartment. I mostly enjoyed my stay but a few things let it down slightly - the toilet seat had a huge crack in it, there was gross long hair tangled in the bathroom sink plug and the lack of a sofa or armchair in the bedroom. Also the TV was tiny for the large bedroom. A few small improvements would turn this place from decent into great.

• Tanya.braun (3/5): DIRTY SHEETS, HUMAN HAIR and BIRD POOP. A horror story? - Good location. Toilet supplies. APPALLING. Apparently they did not change the sheet and made the bed using the previous guest's sheets. I found hair on the sheets, dirty disgusting stains on the blanket and sheets, I found cilia and hair on the pillows as if someone had just slept in them. It also smelled funny. Moreover, the bedside table was dirty and sticky, as if the previous guest had spilled some tea in it and nobody had cleaned it. Besides, everything is SO CHEAP and NOT TAKEN CARE OF. You can see that they only rent it to get money, and they have no intention to make the guest feel at home. There is a small, or better, MINUSCULE TV that cannot be watched from any part of the room. It would be so easy to put a small sofa, but no effort at all has been made by the the host. There are many more small things that make me feel like they just want my money and that they do not care. The showerhead's hold is broken and you cannot adjust it to your height. It is such an easy fix, how is it possible?! The clock in the kitchen is broken, same story here. The lights in the room are so cold and it looks like it's always dark. The chairs are cheap and they are supposed to substitute a sofa in the room. The space behind the windows is FILLED WITH bird's POOP. I understand this is Venice, but it looks like they have NEVER been cleaned. Again, an easy fix that would make the difference. The host solved the problem the day after sending a cleaning lady, but when we first texted she sounded impatient and it did not give me a good impression at all. Last but not least, the street below is SUPER LOUD. Bring earplugs if you do not want to be entertained with some Venetian drama all night long. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Pay a bit more but at least you'll be taken care of.
