Guest Reviews
- Valerie (10/5): - En plein centre de Venise. Appartement spacieux et propre /
- Irina (10/5): -

- Tamsin (8/5): Lovely place to stay in Venice. - Very comfortable, especially the beds and perfectly clean. An ideal spot for visiting Venice. A few more cups would have been handy.

- Shelly Swart (8/5): - Great location. We had an issue and the staff was responsive and quick! There is only air conditioning in 1 bedroom and no fans.
- Denis (9/5): -
- Iva (10/5): - The location was perfect! Closed to everything and far away from the noise of San Marco! There are a lot of things to do nearby, shops, restaurants and cafeterias! The apartment is big enough, but one of the bedrooms is for kids - two small beds. There is an air conditioner in one of the bedrooms, in the other- there is not . There is one in the living room, so it’s enough when the both are working. The kitchen is well equipped, but you don’t have to use it - everything is around you! :) The housekeeper is top! Very friendly and helpful! A lot of stairs, but that is Venice ;)
- Xi (8/5): Very good - Very charming Venetian flat with A/C. There are 2 toilets and 1 shower. None of the door lock of the 2 bathrooms is working.
- Hong (9/5): Superb - Good property to live. Beautiful
- Alistair (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic location and very clean. It is quiet but everything is nearby - restaurants, bakeries, food shops. San Toma vaporetto round the corner too, so we made great use of our multi-day passes. would definitely stay again. Struggling to think of anything negative to say. Lack of towel rail in bathroom is all, which says a lot.
- Sage (8/5): Lots of room, quiet, and cozy like "grandma's house" - The apartment is dated and reminded me of "Grandma's house" but we were expecting that so it was like being in a real Italian home. Lots of space. Good heat. Great location in town near a square and over one bridge to a supermarket. There are some stairs, 3-4 small flights of stair, but a little steep, no lift. No toaster. No dressers for clothing. Brick walls made WIFI difficult in back bedrooms, would consider a repeater or relocate to middle bedroom. TV had no online apps, would recommend an Amazon fire or Roku. There are some stairs, 3-4 small flights of stair, but a little steep, no lift. Not a big deal since we are young and had kids to help, but would be good to know.
- Jeffrey (7/5): It was fine. - It was big enough for the 6 of us. Not enough bath towels. Not enough toilet paper (we had to go buy). No towels in the kitchen. Coffee and sugar were empty.
- Ewan (7/5): Great place to base yourself if you want to explore Venice. - Great location and very spacious apartment. As with many Venice locations there was no view but there was so much to do and see within minutes.
- Decoa (3/5): Enjoyed Venice, very beautiful city, didn't enjoy the accomodation. - N/A Bed quality and linens very poor. Run down, not very clean. Mosquitos.
- Suvasish (8/5): I would recommend it with caution for elderly people - Room decor, facilities (washing machine), beds, sofa, location The stairs are high. Difficult to climb for elderly people and people with large suitcases.
- Ronnie (9/5): Superb - Good location spacious clean beautiful
- Achmad (9/5): Family vacation with kids - Classic style, tidy, clean and kitchen facility
- Tessa (7/5): Good -
- Dudley (10/5): Totally Venician - How do you express yourself when having booked a room at the last minute looked at the on-line photos and when you enter the property your expectations are demolished, fantastic period. Comfortable extremely. Spacious out of this planet. Warm welcoming and homely we were totally entranced with everything. The management and support staff were available whenever we needed them. We only stayed one night but when we return we will book for several nights. Everything was perfect
- Nemes (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very well positioned. It's spacious, comfortable and fairly clean. The view isn't the best, but that fact becomes irrelevant if your time is spent outdoors. It doesn't have veranda or balcony. There were two air conditioning systems, which didn't quite work the best. If they are repaired, this is a very nice place to be at.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Large rooms, great space Lack of air conditioning in twin bedroom
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Charlie (7/5): Comfortable stay just a short walk from main attractions and train station. - Tucked down a little side street (As most things are in Venice). Not terribly loud at nights, other than occasional passerbys speaking loudly and noise carrying. Was convenient to a vaporetto stop and not a bad walk to the Realto bridge. Aircon was very loud and rumbly in the main room and kept waking us up.
- Kaloyan (8/5): Very good - Good location and a big clean apartment. One of the AC was not working properly during summer season.
- Viorel (10/5): Exceptional - The mattresses were very comfortable. The location is a good one, we walked 15 min to Piazza San Marco.
When you closed the window shutters it went completely dark, that was perfect for a good sleep.
We stayed in the apartment during the nights, because in the day we were out in the city, so I can rate 5 stars all the features of the apartment that gave us a good recharge sleep :)
- Kristina (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect and communication with host was easy, smoothly and quick. The flat was very cold and we should ask to increase the heating. The apartment was very big, so it took time to become warmer - only next day. The radiator in the bathroom was cold and our towels were wet all our stay.
- Markus (7/5): Good - All OK, all a little less shiny than in the photographs. All practical things were there and OK, the kitchen was equipped with the basics, and the heating worked well. Don't expect a view. The windows open on the walls of the adjacent houses, which literally are 1 metre away. Arm yourself with anti-mosquito spray, even if you stay there in winter.
It seems it is becoming the standard, but it is still strange paying quite big sums for a stay and not having any contact with a real person.
- Noris (10/5): Ca Virgilio and the Abitarenext staff provided our family with an excellent stay in Venice. - The size was excellent for a family of 6. It was decorated in a Venetian style and felt very authentic. Location is very close to good restaurants, convenience and grocery stores, the Vaporetto station and is an easy 10 minute walk to the Rialto bridge. There were no negatives that we experienced.
- Avik (7/5): The stay was good except the fact that AC was not available in all room. At least fan should be provided in other rooms - The property was big and had all amenities Difficult to locate and no lift
- Stuart (8/5): Located in a alley in the heart of Venice, it’s a great location to explore! - For our family of four, the apartment was large and both our teenage children had a bedroom. In addition to the bathroom, the extra toilet is always handy! The apartment is a bit quirky as you see from the owners pictures it has a regency feel, but it also has what I might call Mum and Dad furniture - a little brown. In our case, quirky is OK when on holiday!
Once you know where you are, the location is good to walk, access the canal bus, river taxi or gondola. Lots of places to eat are around every corner - so explore and enjoy! In some areas like electric sockets, it could do with some updating. The air con was great during the day, but you could not leave it on overnight as it was noisy. Whilst we did not come to Venice to stay in an apartment, the views don’t exist out of the windows and alley we needed to go through to the front door was not expected!
Rubbish collection/disposal is complicated or will cost you extra as is the city tax - not sure why that is not just part of the rental cost.
