Unkompliziertes einchecken, Niccolo hat uns über WhatsApp kontaktiert und schon auf unsere Ankunft gewartet. Drei sehr schöne Doppelzimmer und zwei tolle Bäder. Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit den Personen die über uns wohnten, da diese j sehr laut waren.

• Helga (10/5): Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! - Das Apartment ist außergewöhnlich groß und liegt perfekt im Zentrum von Florenz. Wir wurden von Niccolò herzlich empfangen und bekamen tolle Informationen zu Florenz. Wer mit dem Auto anreist findet gleich in der Nähe Garagen. Vom Apartment aus ist eigentlich alles zu Fuß zu erreichen.

• Carolyn (10/5): Huge apartment in Florence close to all the sites with a nice kitchen and washing machine - A location was great only 10 minutes from the train station, though if you had luggage, it was a bit difficult. We had a lot of luggage, but we managed to walk. The sidewalks are narrow and very uneven. The apartment was very large. There were three bedrooms +2 other rooms with sofa beds, which we didn’t need but I used one of them to work out in. The washing machine worked well. We could walk to everything in Florence. The apartment was as described with two bathrooms, three bedrooms and two other rooms. It was great to have a room to work out in and it even had a TV and there were TVs in all the bedrooms. The shower could’ve been better at least in the bathroom down the hall. It was so cold and the water never got truly hot just warm I think in the summer it would be perfect but in the winter since there was no heat in that bathroom, it was a bit cold. On the other hand, I was a bit sick so if I had not been, I don’t think I would’ve minded that the water was merely nice and warm but not hot.

• Jordan (10/5): A lovely apartment in the middle of the city, perfect for a family stay in Florence - Duallook was an amazing place to stay in Florence. The apartment is ideally located within 10 mins of S.M Novella Station and is close to all the top tourist attractions in Florence. The apartment is well kept, had great amenities including a fridge and freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. For a family of 6, there was ample space too so it wasn’t cramped. Niccolò was an amazing host as well, very responsive on WhatsApp, flexible and accommodating, and shared great knowledge about the city with things to do and food to try. Not specific to the property, however the footpaths of Florence are not very wide, so getting there with suitcases may be challenging with young kids or people with disabilities.

• Melissa (10/5): Lovely apartment and host that made our stay incredible! Must stay! - The apartment was very large and nicely laid out. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen tools, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. The apartment and dishes were very clean. The washing machine was helpful. The apartment felt very safe. It was only 2 short staircases up to the second floor. Apartment was right at the top of the stairs. There were 3 nice bedrooms and 2 nice bathrooms. There were also 2 living rooms with pullout couches. The apartment had radiator heaters and also some air conditioner/fan wall units in each bedroom. The location was fabulous! The Fortezza da basso conference center was a very short 8min walk. All the major sights were also a short 8-10min walk as well as the train station. Niccolo was incredible and very responsive. He had chargers and converters/adaptors in the apartment. And left lots of great information as well as some travel books.

Niccolo the host was welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was clean, in the perfect location. Beds were comfortable and it wasn’t noisy. I would love to return to Florence and if we do, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. 3 bedrooms suiting our family of 5. Loved everything!

The bedrooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were clean and they have this great coffee machine right there. Would have stayed forever.

• Maryann (10/5): Beautiful retreat in Florence. - This is a beautiful flat, very spacious and modern. Nice beds and quiet also. The location is a charming short walk from the Duomo and markets. Our host Valentino was so helpful, taking the time to provide us with directions to nearby places. He even had a handy map. Nothing really ;)
• Tricia (10/5): Clean accommodations within walking distance of everything - Duallook was close to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, major attractions, and a ten minute walk to the train station. We felt safe in the area. The owner met us at the property and let us in early which we really appreciated. The apartment is larger than it seemed online and we enjoyed the space very much. All the amenities were in excellent working condition. We were left coffee pods to make coffee in the morning which was great. The place was very clean. We also appreciated the friendliness of the hosts who we met in person and communicated with through WhatsApp.

It was wonderful having my tea on the balcony overlooking the lovely courtyard every morning. The amount of space for an apartment in the center of Florence was amazing! We had a bit of miscommunication about our arrival time and were left standing on the doorstep for a bit since we didn't have wifi . . .once we reached the hosts they did come right over though.

• Sadie (10/5): Great apartment, great location, great host. - A secure, clean and well maintained apartment in a great location, with reasonable walking access to the Duomo, Michelangelo's David, Santa Croce and the central market. Plenty of restaurants and bars to suit all pockets. The host kept in text contact on the day of arrival and met us outside the apartment, and inside didn't disappoint. A well equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, decent cooking utensils. Two bathrooms were well stocked, and there were plenty of towels, hand wash and shower gel. The terrace upstairs is a small area for a morning coffee for two or three people, and if you have a longer stay (more than a week) the utility room has a washer/dryer and extra clothes. Bedrooms are all spacious with decent cupboard space, and beds are comfortable. Didn't notice too much outside noise from the road, so windows provided good insulation. If you like to stay in and cook, then the provision of chef's/cooks knives would be useful. Trying to peel onions with a bread knife was at most amusing and at worst a hazard. There are two lounge rooms with comfy sofa/beds (one with a TV). In reality, these areas also serve as a walk through corridor to the second bathroom and the staircase to the terrace. Two flights of stairs to the apartment and no lift, but to be expected in converted character properties such as this. It's not a deal breaker!

• Kristi (10/5): Convenient, spacious place in the heart of Florence - Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. They were very responsive before and during the stay when I had questions. They were kind enough to allow an early check in for part of our group who arrived early. The apartment itself was perfect for our family group traveling together. Great to have a well-equipped kitchen! Within walking distance of great restaurants and all the historic sights, without being in the middle of crowds. There were several Asian restaurants nearby that we wished we had time to try (along with the fantastic Italian ones, of course!) Very close to the central food market which was an amazing treat! No complaints, everything was great.

Air conditioning was excellent during this hot summer. There is also a very nice laundry room with a washing machine in the upstairs sunroom area. Easy walking distance from the train station and the Duomo.

• Angela (9/5): Beautiful apartment in a great location - The location is very good, and the place is spacious with large bathrooms and bedrooms. The furnishings are very nice. The host met us and gave us recommendations for where to eat. The bedroom off of the kitchen has a very creaky bed that might wake you up every time you roll over. The air conditioning unit in that room did not work the first night, but the host did come over to reset it for us the next day. It was up too high and probably required a ladder to do so.

The layout of the property is amazing - we had so much space to enjoy family time together and then retreat to our own rooms. One of the best places we have stayed. A very minor quibble. We unfortunately broke a glass and couldn’t find a dustpan to clean up - had to make do with paper towel for cleanup.
• Ian (8/5): Very nice place well located - Property is large with three good bedrooms and plenty of other space, host meets you at property, is very central and close to shops and attractions, is also close to station for trips further afield. Appeared very safe area. Good kitchen area. Very close to the indoor market. It may just have been the week we have stayed but there were a few fleas/mosquitos in the property flying around and all of us have been bitten - I’m hoping that we just got unlucky maybe and it is resolved for future visitors or come prepared with sprays. There is some noise in evenings from the front street - where two bedrooms are- you can close shutters to reduce it - this was particularly so on Friday evening/Saturday morning - wasn’t a huge problem but might be for some
• Kendra (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment was spectacular! Very spacious and fit our family wonderfully. Enjoyed cooking a few meals in the kitchen also. Location was great for walking to train/bus station and not far from other popular sites. Building was quiet and didn't even know there were neighbors. Not the fault of the apartment, but Italy's laws about heat usage are odd to an American. One day we got soaked from rain and were so cold, but are not permitted to turn up the heat and with the chilly apartment it takes a long time to dry clothes after washing. The apartment does have lots of extra blankets in closets to help with warmth, so that was a bonus.

• Stephanie (10/5): Great apartment in perfect location! - We loved our stay. There was plenty of room and separation for our group of 6. The apartment is just a short walk to the Pantheon, the Mercato Centrale and the Duomo. There wasn’t any street noise that we could here. Gaia was super sweet. She met us at the apartment and explained everything. We would definitely stay here again! There are about 16 steps in two levels to get to the apartment. It was a little strenuous for some in our group, but we would still stay again. Something to think about for those with mobility issues.
