- Bruno (10/5): One very special getaway from daily life! - Amazing reception from the host, incredible decoration, classic but not old, very cozy place, incredibly quiet and peaceful location.
- Antonio (9/5): - La ubicación muy tranquila y de fácil acceso al centro NA
- Artis (10/5): The accommodation was a very pleasant place to stay – great private location, quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely - The accommodation was a very pleasant place to stay – great private location, quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful, explained everything clearly, and even met us at the waterbus stop.
- Robert (10/5): Ruhig und schön - Geräumiges und sauberes Apartment auf der Insel Guidecca. Apartment verfügt über alles, was man braucht.
- Marcia (9/5): Lovely place with a good host who made access easy and gave good recommendations - Very good layout and size. Good kitchen although induction hob could only really cook on two rings at full power. Nothing very nice, very quiet and private
- Srilekha (10/5): The best host - It was an amazing experience. The host was very kind and helpful.
- Sally (4/5): Beautiful spot but unwelcoming - Beautiful furniture, chandeliers, garden Edited - They only respond here now.
We were given a long list of potential financial penalties before arriving, so it felt tense already.
It is hard to remember every rule when you get a large document listing minor offenses with charges.
After we arrived, we connected on WhatsApp. I got direct texts from the owner with information from a neighbor who was reporting on us. He saw someone smoke on the balcony.
I still don't know if the neighbor or the host photographed the trash. On my birthday I woke up to a WhatApp message with a photo of a single bottle not in a bag in the buildings trash.
I complained. The neighbor outburt to my apologetic guest, who is a Syrian refugee,
"You're not welcome here!"
when the guest mistook his flip flops jammed in a mailbox for a giveaway.
My guest hadn't left Berlin in a while for obvious reasons.
I was told to stay in a hotel next time and google places before going. It felt patronizing.
When we left, the guest had put the wrong soap in a dishwasher. It left a puddle, which the host caught, and I just got this video with no words. I don't think I'll get my 200 euro deposit back. She's says the dishwasher is broken but provided no receipts. Truly I am sorry, but there are no receipts of anything.
How is a rug "ruined" by soapy water: What rug? Did it need to be hung to dry? Does a ruined sofa = puddle touching the bottom of the laminated legs? Any Receipts?
We are all 30 year olds who don't party hard or leave intentional messes, but we were treated like our mistakes were intentional.
All the small things accumulated with the frequent texting, so that the mood was mutually paranoid by the time the dishwasher broke and we'd actually messed something up and needed to communicate constructively.
I would have preferred to pay 200 more for a welcoming stay.
- Claire (8/5): Amazing location; lovely apartment; welcoming host. Shame about the grumpy neighbours. - AMAZING location
Friendly and helpful host
Nice apartment It was very cold!
The grumpy and aggressive man downstairs shouted at us twice due to our children moving around in the apartment. This really spoilt things for us as we were constantly trying to keep the children quiet and still.
- Becky (7/5): Perfectly Acceptable - The apartment was large and contained three bedrooms, a proper kitchen, a full bathroom and a dining space. It was decorated in a curious mix of traditional and contemporary style, beds were large and comfortable, window curtains blocked out all street light. The host was very kind and took the time to meet us directly at the waterbus station and walked us to our room (While booking do keep in mind this apartment is only accessible by waterbus). The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils. Each window had a lovely view of the secret garden. The apartment was clean and safe. Perfectly fine place. The apartment is mostly quiet but the silence is broken by the occasional blaring of the distant fog horns of far-off ships and the activities of the upstairs neighborhoods children, this may be frustrating to light-sleepers and late-raisers.
The small shower left much to be desired. The small footprint of the falling water requires one to push up against the wall to be underneath it and the water pressure is far from satisfactory. A fair but certainly unrelaxing experience.
Lastly and least importantly, during our November visit the title floor was stingingly cold on feet even through socks. Quite unpleasant, however in the summer I can imagine the cold floors are quite desirable.
Again, do keep in mind you must travel by water taxi or water bus. The bus costs about 10 euro per ride or a 72 hour pass for about 45 euro. The ride from the train station is about 30 minutes so do be sure to factor travel times into your plans. However, in my opinion the quiet location and cheaper price is well worth the inconvenience of the bus.
- Diana (10/5): Beautiful apartment! - The host was very kind and helpful. She gave us good touristic information.
- Marie (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, quiet, peaceful, away from the tourist crowds, but just one vaporetto stop from San Marco.
Good facilities, everything worked.
Very comfortable double beds. Single bed slightly convex. Nothing
- Daiva (10/5): Exceptional - Good, calm location, waterbus station is very close. Stay was perfect.
- Αναστασία (10/5): A beautiful apartment in a quiet place. - A very nice and cosy apartment. We liked everything. The rooms were very big, the kitchen and bathroom were in a modern style. The temperature inside was very hot and the heating was all day and all night turned up, so the water was very hot all the time.
A very quiet place with a beautiful view and garden. The apartment is very big and better than the photos inside the booking.
You have to take the vaporetto to go to Venice but it is only one station to piazza San Marco, meaning 5 minutes, and you can buy a cheapest ticket for 72 hours and go everywhere you want.
Special thanks to Kateryna who was waiting for us to gave the keys and send us many many informations about how to move in Venice. If we go again we'll surely choose this apartment.
- Esteban (2/5): Don’t go! Cold!!!! - Cleaning Problem with heat. You can't control the temperature and we always always always had cold. The boiler was constantly failing and would not heat up.
I allow myself to think badly and I think it's about using as little energy as possible to keep costs low. No matter what happens with the passenger.
Now a member of my family got sick with the flu.
The main room bed is noisy and if you are taller than 1,90m is difficult to sleep.
The location is nice and very quiet. just keep in mind that you have to spend 9 euros per person per trip to go to the city and 9 euros to go back (Vaporetto).
- Darrell (9/5): Superb -
- Nina (4/5): The bare minimum - The location. The apartemt has three bedrooms and a "sala da pranzo". The bathroom was rather ok. The hosts provided immediately for the dishes and kitchen equpment we asked for because it was missing. Considering the price of the apartment we were quite surprised with the minimum furniture and equipment it was furnished with. Everything in it is reduced to the bare minimum and the host hasn't made any adjustments to make the guests feel comfortable: from the old sheets and suspicious looking beadspreds, uncomfortable matrasses to the illumination. There is no oven in the kitchen and its equpment is reduced to the bare minimum or the cheapest possible kitchenware. Not a snug and comfortable place to be in.
- Kviralashvili (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - The location of the apartment, how clean it was , kitchen and apartment was well equipped.wifi excellent throughout Due to a problem with the plumbing downstairs we where unable to use kitchen sink .which we we're informed of on arrival.A washing up bowl would have been useful, as the bathroom sink did not hold water and washing up was very difficult
- Gabor (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. The owner is nice, and flexible.
The apartment is beautiful, and really secret.
- Laura (10/5): Fantastic apartment in a great location. - Great apartment, fantastic location and a very helpful and responsive host.
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Theresa (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sivamany (5/5): Passable -
- Susan (9/5): Wonderful location! Quiet area, yet easy to get to the heart of Venice. - Beautiful and quiet location. Away from the hustle of Venice, but 5 mins to the boat to San Marco Square. Beds were really hard!
- Kenneth (10/5): It was exactly what we were looking for and more. - We were visiting Venice for a wedding. The location was perfect for our needs as it was about a 3 minute walk to the wedding location. The apartment was large, clean, and perfect for us. It is also right by a public water taxi making very easy to get around. Katerina was an awesome host. She was knowledgeable about the city and how to get around. We had an extremely early flight out at the conclusion of our stay. Knowing this, we prebooked a taxi service that canceled on us the night before our departure. Katerina was so helpful in booking us both a water taxi and a land taxi to get us to the airport in time for our flights without a hiccup. She was one of the best hosts we've had. We would highly recommend this place for your visit to Venice. Nothing... we couldn't ask for more.
- Steven (10/5): Great Accommodation in Venice with Family - We LOVED this apartment. A 3 bed apartment with living space for this price we thought would be impossible. We LOVED not being on the main land where it's really busy. Guidecca was quieter which is better for families with small children, but we were only a 5 minute boat from San Marco Sq. It's hard to find anything wrong with this accommodation, but we found the beds to be quite firm/hard. That could just be personal preference though.
- Folasade (9/5): Fantastic property in great location. - Kateryna was great at communicating with me and the place, booked for my parents, was lovely! They were very happy with their stay.
- Ognjen (9/5): Superb -
- Catrin (9/5): Perfect location for a calm stay in Venice with best connection to the center. - The apartment is amazing. Huge, bright, ultraclean and oldfashioned in a good way. The location is perfect, if you want to escape the toutist hotspots, but you can reach them with a vaporetto in 5 minutes (Zitelle-San Marco). Good connection to the Bienale Giardini and Arsenale. Direct connection to the train station.
Kataryna, who welcomed us, was very kind and helpful.
