Pas de ruelle bruyante autour. Cabine de douche à revoir, pas de télécommande pour les climatiseurs malgré une vague de chaleur.

• Robert (7/5): Lovely historic property in great location with great host but noisy neighbour and tiny kitchen. - Great communications from the owner/manager from booking until arrival and being met in person at the property was lovely. We had the King Apartment which was charming and historic, and had a huge living room with balcony where we ate meals and had evening drinks. It felt like a privilege to stay in such a property. Property was clean and generally well equipped. We were left a list of local bar and restaurant recommendations which was really helpful. The area around the property is amazing with Campo Santa Margherita and Zattere both close by. Also close to the bus & train stations for exploring beyond Venice. The upstairs neighbour was noisy including over night and early in the morning. Most of the noise seemed to come from above the bedroom area. They seemed to need to rearrange all their heavy furniture at least once a day. Once at 6am! There is an ongoing renovation to a building across the courtyard. This started early morning, so not great if you wanted to sleep late or have an afternoon nap. There is a lane underneath the bedroom window, which is a main thoroughfare. This could get quite noisy in the evening but it didn't bother us too much. The tiny kitchen lacked an oven or electric kettle, was a bit like a caravan kitchen. It was quite complicated to prepare a full meal.

• Viv (7/5): Brilliant location - Location was great. Close to the bus station and the area had lots bars and restaurants. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. Upstairs neighbour was a bit noisy. Clomping about in shoes at 23:15 at night. Shower doesn’t give enough hot water.

• Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Then location is fantastic - so easy from the station etc but peaceful too. Very clean, and lovely helpful host. But don't neglect to rad the rules regarding the check in time!
• Claire (10/5): A central haven, yet away from the crowds - Location was close to a vibrant campo and lots of cafes/ restaurants; yet away from crowds. Apartment was clean, fantastically equipped and generous coffee, tea, basics etc. washing machine useful and air conditioning for an hour kept the place cool. An easy wander through the corridors to the waterways to explore all of Venice. Anna met us and gave lots of “ top tips” for our stay. It wasn’t an issue for us, but be aware it is on the second floor and quite a hike up with bags! Nothing!

• Kaitie (6/5): No hot water after 2nd day. Unsuitable for elderly / disabled people. Disappointing. - It had a nice view over gardens from the balcony. It was nice to have pure cotton sheets. This property would have been suitable for younger, more fit people. As an elderly disabled person it was difficult access (no lift). Dangerous ‘stairs’ up to 2nd bedroom made it unusable, so one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. The hot water only came on on one day at the beginning of our 7 days stay, all only cold water for 5 days. The host did nothing about it even though her agent was going to ask her to sort it out. Generally everything else was ok but overpriced for what it was.
• Intasal (9/5): Very pleasant stay in lovely italian apartment. - Nice italian apartment in very authentic italian building. Everything was clean. Apartment had everything you might need: an iron, hairdryer, kitchen supplies, AC and so on. Apartment next to St Margarita square where you can find food store, framacy, restaurants. Unfortunatley the check-out is at 10:30 without any option to leave the luggage somewhere. Also - keep in mind that check-in is till 19:30. We rushed from airport with taxi to be there on time.

• Byrne (8/5): Very good - Self Catering The directions to find the property were very confusing and the map was not clear. A ten minute walk estimate turned into a 45 minute slog as we kept getting the map wrong and our host didn't know where we were. A specific set of written instructions would be better, detailing exactly which bridges to go over, which tiny alleys to walk down etc would be better. All bridges have steps up and down, which is hard work with suitcases so precise instructions saves exhaustion.

• Beate (8/5): Pleasant apartment in a beautiful location. - The location is in a quiet street in the beautiful area of Dorsoduro. We chose it because we were two friends traveling and wanted to have some privacy for each. It has everything you might need for a stay of a few days. Anna gave us some good suggestions for restaurants which were helpful. You cannot regulate the heating between day and night, but it was ok for us.

Beware if you have big suitcases because the bridges are not passable. Apartment was so beautiful, quiet and comfortable. Our host Anna was very helpful, we were lucky to find this spot.

Very well located and so close to Campo Santa Margherita. Very good kitchen equipment and a superb sitting room. Quiet and lovely area with a beautiful inner courtyard within the palazzo. Everything was wonderful, interesting and highly recommended for location and for appreciating Venetian life. Stairs up to little bedroom very steep. The aircon did not reach this room so was a little hot for sleeping.

It is in a great location in Venice, away from the main tourist areas, but within very easy access of everywhere. The area itself was wonderful. The apartment was warm and cosy and provided everything that we needed. It felt like a home from home and we loved the atmosphere. Anna was a great host. We would 100% recommend this gem of an apartment in the heart of Venice, and hope to be able to return.

• Annabel (9/5): A great stay in a beautiful apartment. - The apartment was a beautiful traditional style apartment in a stunning building next to the canal, my sister and I shared the large and very comfy bed and my daughter stayed in the single bed located up a steep and slightly changeling staircase, which was fine if you have good mobility. The living room was huge with original features and felt very grand, it had a small balcony overlooking the garden. the room was beautiful. Kitchen was small but with kettle and coffee maker.

• Peter (9/5): Wonderful to be back! - Our second visit to this apartment. Wonderful location - away from tourist crowds but close to lively piazzas, with easy access to shops - including supermarket, butcher (and greengrocer on barge on nearby canal). restaurants, bars and vaporetto stop (about an eight minute walk away and the Alilaguna service from Marco Polo Airport stops here as well). Exceptionally well furnished flat with a lovely balcony overlooking leafy gardens. The living room is the jewel in the crown of this property. Massively high ceilings and palatial dimensions! Interesting, tasteful period furnishings. The kitchen is small, with a 2 ring electric hob and microwave. Having said that, there is a dishwasher, fridge, toaster and pretty much every piece of equipment you might need.
• William (10/5): Exceptional - A compact and comfortable apartment in a part of Venice that has lots of charm and interest but without the crowds. Good restaurants nearby and bags of life in the square just across the canal. A super base to explore from. Nothing to complain about.
• Florent (8/5): Very good - For superior appartment. Nice location at 2 minutes from the campo santa Margherita and 8 from the piazzale Roma (if u arrive by bus from the airport). The host is helpfull and gave us some really nice tips for restaurants. The appartment is confortable overall. Not enough hot water for 2 persons ( we are not taking 20 minutes shower) Mold in the shower Reconstruction down the street = wood boards on the floor = super noisy when someone walk on it during the night.
