• Jonathan (8/5): 5 mins from St Mark's - The central location, good size and comfortable furnishings of the apartment, also the helpful owner. Great views of Venice from on high! Dirty cups, smelly toilet and noise from the street below at night. The 79 steps up from the street kept us fit!

• Florian (10/5): Very amazing apartment - Absolutely amazing place. Really cool attic apartment with lots of space and an amazing view from up high. Really good price too for such a great location. Bathroom was a little small and the shower has a beam going through the top but the apartment is so good we didnt mind.

We rented the attic room, and unfortunately the bathroom was really small and uncomfortable with constant bad smell. I’m 1.60 m and I hit my head multiple times, especially in the shower. This should be better highlighted in the info while booking.

• Jeremy (10/5): Loved this place and Nina always responded to my questions and provided perfect instructions - The location was wonderful, so close to St Mark’s. It also had a great view and more than enough space. Nothing really. Even the stairs were manageable. One suggestion would be to install racks to hang wet towels. I realize bathroom space is extremely limited.

• Katherine (9/5): Fantastic weekend in a clean, comfortable and very central location. Would recommend to friends! - Location was excellent, very central; a minute on foot from the Rialto and 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco. Very spacious apartment and cool in temperature due to air conditioning. Quiet at night and well equipped (tea towel, rubbish bags and toilet rolls provided.) We really enjoyed our stay. Genuinely nothing we didn't like, however, it would benefit from at least another mirror, and possibly an extractor fan in the bathroom. (But not sure how manageable this is in an old building!). The stairs may be an issue for some travellers, but this is made clear prior to booking in the information.

Se escuchan las pisadas del apartamento de arriba porque hay regular aislamiento, así como la gente de la calle, aunque suele ser tranquilo. Algo sucias las colchas.

• Peter (8/5): Challenging apartment in great location in Venice - Location was really good. About five minutes from Rialto and from San Marco. there is a nice rooftop view. host Nina brought some glasses that we requested. Firstly there are 92 steps to the apartment. This gets pretty tiring. The kitchen was lacking some pretty basic facilities. There is a two burner gas cooktop. The sparking lighter does not work. I bought matches and lit one of the burners but the other one would not stay lit. There is no electric kettle so to boil water you’ll have to use that cooktop. There are no decent kitchen utensils. No tongs no microwave dish nothing to cover anything in the microwave.The TV was pretty useless. You’ll have to keep opening the back of the remote control and rolling the batteries to make it work. It is a attic apartment and the bathroom is really low ceiling. You’ll have to bend over to stand in the shower. It has no screen there is no shower screen so it’s really difficult to stop the floor from getting wet.

CAUTION: From the moment you put your feet out of the cosy airport you are in danger to be misleaded!!In this fabulous town earning money from the tourist, a walking and naive gold mine, seems to be a sport without real rules for to many. Therefore just let your good feeling and intuition look for the trustful correct places and people for a cheerfull enjoyable historical and gastronomical experience. And leave Venice with a head full of fine and warm memories! Without a deep reorganisation VENICE is going to loose the goose with golden eggs... No contact with the owner. Just WhatsApp although I was nearly sure to recognise her in the staircases during my long journey to the highest flour. I wrote a mail to the owner about the problems in this charming but uncomfortable place and some real security problems...

• Chris (10/5): Fantastic apartment in an incredible location - The location is fantastic. Less than mins walk from the historical centre (the bells of St Mark's wake you in the morning). Supermarkets, bars, restaurants and key transport links are all within minutes, too. The apartment was lovely. It had so much space, was clean and all the facilities you could possibly need. The host was very friendly and informative. She kept in touch with us before and during the visit to make sure we understood everything. Our stay was perfect and we would love to return in the future. The mosquitos! But this is not a fault of the apartment, this is just the reality of having pale, Scottish skin in Venice😉

Rooms were quite spacious, the kitchen is nicely updated. It was great to have a big living room to hang out in. The neighborhood was reasonably quiet. 5th floor walkup; bathroom was a little tight.

However, the gas stove didn’t work or we didn’t manage to switch it on. The bathroom as the shower cabin was extremely narrow. In the bathroom and in the shower was impossible to stand upright as the sealing was very low. Also, the internet connection was not working most of the time.

It is a great location right between St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. The WiFi was kind of sketchy. It would cut in and out and even when connected it wasn't that strong. Hopefully, they will boost the signal. There is low headroom in the bathroom but they are pretty clear about that before you book. I am 5'-11" and I could manage.

• Cg29 (8/5): Very good - The apartment was very spacious as it had 2 bedrooms (had connecting door), kitchen and living room area and is near the Rialto water taxi. The beds were comfortable and place was clean. Kitchen is well stocked for pots, plates and utensils. The apartment is on the top floor (5th level) and there is no elevator. This means that you need to carry all your bags up the narrow stairs. The keys (or front door lockset) needs to be replaced as we spent several minutes trying to get in - good thing we brought the spare keys with us.

• Airlie (8/5): Perfect location, fantastic host, be mindful of guest height and fitness! - Perfect location, close to everything! Had everything that we needed for our short stay. Host was very efficient and super helpful when needed. The bathroom/shower would not be suitable/comfortable for anyone over 5ft 8’ as there is a large beam that takes up most of the bathroom space. The WIFI was not great at all and if you were working whilst away then this would not be ideal. There are lots of stairs to reach the accomodation so not great for those who would struggle with this.

Apartment was easy to find from her instructions. Plenty of space and well appointed. Only one minor point. Lack of central light in living room made reading difficult when planning the next days activities. Apartment lit by plenty of lamps.

• Heiko (9/5): Great apartment to escape the hectic of Venice! - Very nice, authentic and big apartment, perfectly situated between Rialto Bridge and St. Marco. Just right to escape from the touristic streets to the 5th floor, with great view of the campanile St. Marco. And what we also liked: The internet was quite slow; so, for the first time since weeks, our kids played with us instead of bending over their smartphones ;-) Everything was just right.
