• Melike Ceren (9/5): Beklentilerimi karşıladı - We loved the location. It’s very close to both the train station and the museums, and you can easily walk to all the major tourist attractions. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was very quiet. Carlo was there exactly on time for check-in as we had arranged. He also responded to our messages very quickly. We would also like to thank him for his recommendations and kindness. If we visit Florence again, we would definitely stay here again. The toilet flush is a bit difficult to use, so replacing it would make things better. Also, there is no shampoo or shower gel provided, so make sure to bring your own.

• carina (5/5): - Die Wohnung ist total ok. Und auch Carlo ist prinzipiell nett. Die Wasserspülung der Toilette hat nicht funktioniert und die Kommunikation deswegen war sehr anstrengend. Im Endeffekt wurde das Problem nicht behoben und ich musste mit Eimern Wasser ins Klo schütten. Carlo hat 12,50 Euro pro Nacht erstatten wollen, was ich für eine nicht funktionierende Toilette und den damit verbundenen Kommunikationsaufwand nicht ok fand. Er hat im Nachhinein noch Videos geschickt, dass die Toilette mit viel Kraft funktionieren würde. Ich hab es jedenfalls nicht hin gekriegt. Wenn jemandem sowas nicht stört, dann ist die Wohnung vielleicht da richtige.

• Fraser (10/5): Highly recommended - The location was excellent! Quick walk to all the attractions. Very quiet. Extremely secure (4 locked doors between the street and the apartment). Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Carlo is a great host! He speaks good English and helped us with our bags, suggested some great restaurants and called a taxi for us upon departure. Highly recommended! Just one suggestion for Carlo would be to add a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment.

Very easy access - one flight of stairs. Carlo ,the host was so nice,responding quickly to questions and met us on arrival . We were able to leave our luggage there until the apartment was ready - we arrived early . He provided several recommendations of places to eat. This apartment was perfect for us on a two night stay. But this location is completely quiet, with a view in the inner block, with a small balcony—it’s wonderful. The host, Carlo, is very kind; he welcomed us personally upon arrival and saw us off when we left, and was very helpful with everything we needed. We were more than satisfied.

It had everything we needed. It was close to everything, a 10-15 minute walk from the station, 5 to 10 minute walk to Duomo, the markets around the corner, and plenty of restaurants nearby.

He was very warm and attentive, and very helpful with local tips. Apartment was well maintained and equipped. Location is also excellent--apartment just a short walk from the Duomo and the train station. Despite it being centrally located, the street where the apartment is located can be relatively quieter (which is a plus for us) compared to the immediate vicinity of the Duomo. None!

Our host could not have been more welcoming and accommodating and proud of his family property. This was exceptional local knowledge. We enjoyed the location which was so different from our own. All the routines of doors, windows etc were good. In such a very busy city, this was a calm, quiet old property with a nice balcony overlooking an inner courtyard, yet very close to the centre - only about ten minutes walk and a supermarket just round the corner. A lot of very good features for which we were grateful. We felt a little short on space, especially in the kitchen area. It was perfectly adequate and on holiday you adopt a different mindset so we didn't see it as a problem. The toilet flush took some getting used to and perhaps needs an update.

• ANDREW (10/5): Peaceful oasis in the middle of Florence - The apartment is centrally located but despite this is cocooned from all the street noise since it overlooks an internal courtyard and is well away from the street frontage. It is a very peaceful place to stay. It is also spacious, has a well equipped small kitchen, large bedroom with a high quality bed with a memory foam mattress. We have been travelling for 2 months and this is the most comfortable bed we have experienced on this trip so far (in this price bracket.). The host met us when we arrived and also came over to farewell us. He was exceptionally helpful with information and recommendations. We would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended. There is nothing to be critical about.
• Cheryle (10/5): Nice apartment with a friendly host in a great location - Carlo was extremely gracious and helpful. He met us at the apartment to ensure a proper check-in. The apartment was clean and spacious. The sheets were crisp and white. The lounge very uncomfortable. We have been travelling in Italy for eight weeks so it was a pleasure to have a nice comfortable lounge to sit in in a nice large TV to watch a few movies. Carlo was extremely helpful in organising a taxi for us to get to the bus terminal for a day trip out of Florence. He was very easy to contact and always responded. I’m definitely going to come back to stay at this apartment. The location of the apartment was excellent. It was just a few hundred metres away from the Duomo. There were plenty of restaurants nearby at the central market was just around the corner.

• Nicola (9/5): Superb - Carlos, our host, was excellent, with great communication and recommendations. The apartment was lovely, the bed comfy, with everything we needed, including a little balcony. It's personal preference I think as the location was close to the train station and all the main sites, which will be perfect for lots of people. However, that also made it an extremely busy area (not for noise, it was a super peaceful room), and for that reason I would have preferred to be slightly further out. Again, personal preference and perfect for lots of people!

Carlo was a great host, meeting us and explaining the keys, and also recommending some local restaurants. The apartment is really 3 small rooms - bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, but it works. We sat on the balcony for a meal and drinks, overlooking a quiet internal courtyard. We were not troubled by street noise. While the kitchen had a hot plate and a coffee maker, a microwave would have been really helpful to reheat food.

• G (8/5): Fantastic! A great stay in Florence, would book again! - The location was fantastic and the size of the apartment was very spacious! We really liked how modern and well looked after the apartment is and also how friendly and helpful our host Carlo was. He gave us great recommendations for dinner and lunch, and also the local laundromat and supermarket. He made sure he was available to greet us and see us off when we departed. Nothing to not like but something to consider is just having enough basic essentials available like tea & coffee to see you through your stay and maybe some toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo/conditioner/bodywash). As it is a self contained apartment we understand to bring our own but would be a nice addition :)

He gave us several, and we decided on one near the apartment. It was one of the best meals we have had in Italy. And that is saying something!!

Very safe environment within walking distance to everywhere. The location was excellent with many shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants very closeby. The mercato centrale is a two minutes walk. The duomo about five minutes. Close to train station, about 10 minutes walk. The little balcony is a plus to sit outside with a drink on a morning. Carlo gave us excellent recommendations of where to eat which we really enjoyed. We have been to Florence several times but this local inside knowledge led to us trying some really good restaurants only a few steps from the apartment. Thank you Carlo for a wonderful stay. This was the 2 bedroom appartment and if more than 2 people stay the space to put the cosmetics etc in the bathroom may not be enough. Some small troley/ shelf would be useful. But it is just suggestion not criticism.

• Kara (8/5): Would stay again because of location and hospitality. - Great location, near the train station, and duomo. Marco’s hospitality is above and beyond expectations - responsive host. It may have been my mistake, but I really needed a sitting area, which I expect when I rent an apartment. The only place to sit was on the bed or in the kitchen. Also could use a few more towels for a 5-night stay. Had some issues with the AC that I don’t think can handle the 100 degree weather in July, but Marco was quick to troubleshoot and I was able to make do. If you need a really strong AC, this may not satisfy.
• Joanne (10/5): We loved the style of the apartment, cleanliness and furnishings that were modern but with some nice period features ret - We loved our stay at La Candida Rosa, it was a great location being just a short walk from the train station and to many of the main sights. It was very quiet with a courtyard view (we chose this as we hoped it would be quieter). The apartment was spotless and well appointed with plenty of kitchen equipment and a little table to eat at too. (It also had a balcony table and chairs but July is too hot for us to be sitting outside!) The first floor access felt very safe. Our host greeted us and was available easily throughout our stay. We were grateful for some great eating out tips. Nothing

We were in contact a couple of days before to organize the check-in process and unfortunately, we had a train delay and we did not do it in person, but he has the self-check-in process optimized brilliantly! From the messages and pictures, it was very easy to understand and get into the apartment. The place was very clean, spacious and comfortable for two couples. Beds give you a good night's sleep! We did not use the kitchen, but it looked like it had the basics for a short stay

You could also easily walk to it from the station. Everything was clean and tidy, and it was so nice to sit out on the balcony over looking courtyard to have a coffee in the morning. Host was so helpful and friendly. He met us at the property and gave us his top tips for the city. When we asked for an iron and ironing board we arrived back to both within the apartment. There’s several locked doors to get through, so we felt very secure. Nothing - would 100% recommend

The spaces are beautifully decorated with many of the original features preserved, it also is very well equipped with everything you need during your stay. The apartment is quiet, cool and bright making it a sanctuary from the heat and crowds in Florence. Carlo was very hospitable and helpful during our stay.

Thank you Carlo - Location was great. apartment was spacious Could have a little more amenities. Most places provide soap for the shower. Being in Italy expect wine glasses, not the same experience having to use water glasses for wine. For a 2 bedroom unit the host could provide a little more than just 4 coffee pods. Maybe some tea bags too. These are little touches that make a difference.

• Vince (10/5): Carlo is very helpful and this is a great location with good restaurants etc nearby. - Close to train station for arrival, laundry near by, quiet m, clean with beautiful floors and high ceilings. No lift but it is only on first floor and Carlo assisted with the bags in departure.

• Pam (10/5): The best place to stay - Everything was perfect, the apartment is lovely: spacious, quiet, well equipped, warm, spotless and so comfortable. The decor is gorgeous and there was absolutely nothing missing, there was even an adaptor for a 3 pin plug! Carlo was so pleasant and helpful and gave excellent recommendations for meals. The location is great, 10 mins walk from the station and the Duomo but in a slightly less touristy area, which is nice. Food markethall around the corner is great. Fantastic restaurant 20 meters from the door. We'd love to come back next time we're visiting Florence. Nothing at all.
