Guest Reviews
- Vujcic (2/5): A cold welcome. Terrible value for the price. - Location 👍🏻 The rooms were very dark and cold, not at all like in the pictures! When we opened the shutters, the cold air was coming through the window frames. In the living room there was a chandelier with six intended lamps, only three were working. The pictures in the booking.com listing were edited/overexposed for the place to appear cozy and bright. Some of the furniture was replaced or missing, differing from what is shown in the pictures again. It was probably never updated since the changes were made. There was no washing machine, as opposed to what is pictured.
And now to the worst part, which was the heating, and ACs that wouldn't turn on, at least not more than one at a time. For the entirety of our stay.
Heating with AC units, one per room, and even though AC cannot ever evenly heat up large rooms with tall ceilings, during the second day of our stay I received a message from the woman who handed over the keys saying that we should not set the temperature above 24 degrees! It's clear that AC blows warm air only directly in front of it, and that the fact we were asked to turn it down was ridiculous, given the price we paid. Like, excuse me, you charge people 2 grands for 6 days and then try to save on electricity! Preposterous.
Only one AC could be turned on at a time, out of three. Clearly, since they knew when we set up a higher temperature without coming, they must have had control over it and did this manually.
This is CRUEL. We all got sick, collectively.
Last but not least, dirty duvets without casing, with yellow stains all over them, only an extra bedsheet put below, for a person to feel better it's not directly in contact with their skin or what? Dust and small trash in drawers, on bed frames, "curtains", and all higher or harder accessible surfaces.
Now, also bear in mind that there is stone flooring in the entire apartment. We are literally going home with high fever, sore throats, coughing and wheezing.
- Dorota (9/5): Superb - Great location, close to the main attractions of the city, but also close to the market square. Comfortable, spacious apartment, quite well-equipped kitchen.
PS. When going to Venice, remember to take out the garbage (the logistics of the city require it, as collection takes place in the morning) Bathroom may be difficult for tall people (toilet difficult to access, lack of space).
- Francisco (8/5): Good place but it could be cheaper - It was clean and the location was ok The cost of the check in late was too expensive and the tv doesn’t work
- Rebecka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saikat_05 (8/5): Good apartment - Location was good, close to water bus stop. If you are looking for an apartment to stay at Venice it's a good choice. Has all facilities that would be needed. Expensive based on facilities provided.
- Mehmet (9/5): Superb - Apartment is close to the central areas in Venice and it is walkable from the train station. While it is an old building, it is spacious and beds were comfortable. Most of the furniture are not useful and clutters the unit. Also, the AC and fan were a bit noisy.
- Gillian (9/5): Lovely centrally located apartment. Perfect for what we needed. - We loved the older style of the apartment which was exactly what we wanted. It was very central although not quite in the hectic areas of Venice so peaceful at the same time. Walkable distance with bags to a vaporetto stop if required.
Clean and tidy. Everything you need. Loved it! Only very minor thing was that you had to leave the window open for the air conditioner vent hose which subsequently let in warm air and mosquitos. However the apartment stayed coolish without aircon. We stayed during June and temps up to 30 degrees.
- Camila (7/5): a perfect place for a family trip in Venice. - We liked the location. There were no dishes in the kitchen.
- Michael (8/5): Two bedroom, with some nice accommodations - Location was pretty good. Beds were comfortable. Had a small kitchen which was a bonus. No real AC. Had a unit that vented through an open window, which was useless. Sleeps only 4 comfortably.
- Virginia (9/5): Wonderful apartment in a great little neighborhood. - Location was excellent! Large. Comfortable. Well equipped. Host was very responsive. Hot water a little inconsistent. Would have liked a larger shower. Everything else was great.
- Jun (9/5): Superb - excellent location
- Emmpea (9/5): We loved our stay in Venice and at DolceVita apartments. The location was absolutely fantastic. - Nicola was so friendly and helpful. The key collection process was quick and easy and Nicola communicated very well with us. Loved the location and the homely feel of the property. We had quite an issue with mosquitoes.. not the fault of the property.. but the bedrooms were full of them.
