• Marije (6/5): Niet comfortabel, helaas - Zoals iedereen aangeeft is de locatie onovertroffen! Je loopt zo naar alle grote attracties en leuke restaurantjes zijn letterlijk om de hoek. Ook de communicatie met de eigenaar is erg fijn en makkelijk en hij reageert altijd snel, top. Maar…voor 300,- per nacht mag je (wat mij betreft) echt wel meer verwachten dan een top locatie. Het appartement is heel klein, vooral de badkamer, je kunt niet eens normaal op de wc zitten. Het bed is hard en erg smal, en het is daarboven (maar ook beneden) erg warm, ook terwijl het buiten echt niet warm was! Er wordt warme lucht geblazen door een rooster en er lopen verwarmingsbuizen (of zoiets) onder de vloer waardoor je feitelijk vloerverwarming hebt en ze mogen de airco niet gebruiken voor 1 juni. De keuken is sjofel en er is geen koffieapparaat. De bank is niet comfortabel: geen normale leuningen en een veel te breed zitgedeelte waardoor je er niet normaal op kan zitten. De hal is zeer gehorig, je hoort alles van de buren (zelfs het doortrekken van de wc) Ook is er geen plek om je koffer makkelijk neer te leggen of wat spullen uit te pakken. Dat is echt heel onhandig. Kortom: het is géén comfortabel appartement en ik denk als je net even in een ander gebied wat zoekt je echt meer waar krijgt voor je geld. Oh en let op: de eigenaar vraagt je bij vertrek om een 10/10 beoordeling te geven en toen ik aangaf dat ik dat niet kon doen omdat het gewoon echt geen 10/10 ervaring was, vroeg hij of ik dan maar helemaal geen beoordeling wilde achterlaten… Oftewel: de hoge score van dit appartement is enigszins gemanipuleerd.

Het is fijn om even een eigen huisje te hebben in de drukte van de stad. Leuke inrichting ook. De badkamer is een beetje smal. Verder alles prima

Das Appartment ist sehr dunkel, aus dem Fenster sieht man nur einen kleinen dunklen Innenhof, eigentlich ist der etwas grösser wie ein Fahrstuhlschacht, der Balkon (hat Platz nur für einen Wischeimer) ist auch auf diese Seite, man sieht nur die Hauswand. Das Sonnenlicht kommt hier nie durch. Das Bett oben ist sehr hart. Das Badezimmer ist sehr, sehr klein.

In nächster Nähe von Colosseum und Forum Roman gelegen, mitten in Rom also. ein top-Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen! Das Bad ist sehr schmal. Vor der Toilette kaum Fußraum, das ist etwas zu eng, aber machbar.

• Lesi (7/5): Fantastic location, but be aware of out-of-maintanence details - The location was really good - the colosseum was literally just blocks away. Air conditioning works great. Fully functional kitchen and comfortable bed. Emanuele and Ele communicated timely always. The room was also quiet - we were not bothered by street noise at all. 1. First of all, the piano was a semi tone down out of tune, which means that no one can practice on it as a professional musician. One cannot use it to rehearse with other instruments either, because of the intonation. You can only play it for fun if you don't care about how it sounds. 2. We realized it's common with old apartments in Rome, but I think it's important to point out that the doors and windows in the apartment don't have screens. For someone like me who is allergic to mosquitos, this was terrible and I got bit multiple times. 3. Can use a fresh layer of paint. Stuff were peeling off of the wall. 4. They accommodated us for dropping our bags at 12:30pm and were given the keys. We were told to come back after 3pm (check-in time) and the apartment will be cleaned and ready. We were very grateful. We went on with our day and came back around 11pm and the apartment was same - no one came to clean it. After messaging, Emanuele and Ele apologized multiple times, and quickly came to clean the apartment which were fine afterwards. We were refunded 50 euro cleaning fees. All this seem very fair except for: a. they said if we had checked in after 3pm then this wouldn't be an issue. I am thinking: if no one came to clean before 11pm, how was someone to come clean before 3pm on the same day? b. (this one is alarming) I was asked to leave a score 10 review, or not to leave a review at all if it's below 10. They explained how the algorithm on booking really didn't favor even score 9 reviews and it's gonna hurt them. As a consumer, it is my right to express my opinion - they can't ask me what to write and what not to. You have to accept the result if you choose to list the apartment on booking.com. This is an ethical issue in running a business. Bottom line is that, if the cleaning incident had not happened, I would have given a 9 because of the details of the piano and wall paint etcs.
• Susie (9/5): Stunning location, cute apartment and wonderful host! - The location is THE best in Rome! It is perfect for the Colosseum and within walking distance of most major attractions, bus routes too and the metro! Lots of great restaurants nearby yet a lovely, quiet location too. Emanuele could not have been nicer, so communicative and helpful with trips, tours , checking we were okay - just great! Apartment was spotlessly clean, quirky and very pretty! It’s a great apartment and I would stay again but it’s maybe not for everybody! There are some things to be aware of: Air con is old so if it’s really really exceptionally warm when you’re there then the apartment doesn’t really get cool. It was a heatwave when we there there so unusually hot so maybe this isn’t normally an issue. The bathroom is very narrow so there isn’t much space around the loo and the shower is quite tight too. This is fine if you are nimble and the bathroom was spotlessly clean! On the mezzanine level, the double bed is a snug fit and there is no room either side of it so you have to climb in from the end, again it’s fine if you are nimble!
• Jon (8/5): Very good - The location was optimal. So close to everything. Could not be better. Owner was communicative and helpful in offering suggestions. Checkout process was easy. Kitchen felt pretty minimal with limited cooking supplies and the space in the apartment was tight. Had to squeeze past the toilet to get to the shower. I had to sit at an angle on the toilet in order to go to the bathroom.

The Musician apartment is top notch, literally in the heart of Rome, and short distance walk from every major site. Thanks for having us!

He was gracious with allowing us to enter the apartment early to drop our bags and gave recommendations for restaurants for us to try. The property was clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. My husband loved the piano in the apartment and enjoyed playing during our stay. The location is amazing, a short walk to the colosseum and the Roman Forum! Thank you for your hospitality Emanuele! The bathroom is quite compact and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the best but this didn’t negatively impact our stay at all.

The neighbourhood of Monti has a vibrant and lively vibe - many cosy restaurants nearby and artistic bars, the most significant sightseeing objects within walking distance. The apartment is a little darker and smaller in the pictures than in real life, but there is everything you need in it to have a great time. We enjoyed our stay a lot. And Emanuele is a responsive and helpful host.
