- Mark (10/5): Great stay here, we really enjoyed it! -
- Mandy (9/5): We loved our stay here. - Family home with everything we needed. Lucrezia was fantastic with communication and was extremely helpful. Great location for us, close to train station, bus station, vaporetto stop and Conad supermarket. Only thing that may not suit some people is the two sets of stairs up to the apartment.
- Ruben (9/5): - Très bien placé
Logement assez grand avec 3 chambres séparées.
Communication très facile avec l'hôte.
- Judit (8/5): Muy recomendable -

- Oliver (8/5): We had a great time in Venice and enjoyed staying in an apartment that had been home to generations of gondoliers. - It was great to stay in a family home with so much history. It has real character. I liked it:)

- Desmond (8/5): A lovely place to stay in Venice - That it was in Venice! The property was like staying in some one's house. Very clean and comfortable The property was a bit on the cool side.
- Alejandro (10/5): Linda visita de Venecia - Era como estar en la casa de la nona
- Angela (9/5): Lovely, quaint stay - Perfect location and quaint, older Venice style accommodation. Well equiped with everything we needed and an easy walk to all the main spots and many backstreet ones. Lovely spot. The mosquito nets were appreciated and well used. The check-in was difficult regarding the city tax. Other self check-in places in Italy and across Europe that we have stayed in have allowed us to leave the city tax in cash in an envelope or called by and picked it up at a designated time. Bank transfer was not an option for us (NZ travelers) and as all our PayPal transactions are verified through our NZ mobiles, which we have turned off and put plans on hold while traveling for several months, was also difficult. We managed to set up another PayPal account and pre-pay via this. From reading the reviews, others have also had difficulty with this. Otherwise the check-in instructions were very thorough - remember to follow these instructions on how to get there as our Booking.com ones were totally incorrect.

- Craig (8/5): Lovely home in Venice - Great at home character and view over the garden. Nice and close to the train station which made is easy to transport luggage. Could be quite cramped with full occupancy but fine for 4.
I’m guessing that Venice is expensive to stay in, but it was quite a lot
- Daphna (7/5): Very convenient location. - The location was brilliant. Only a short walk from the train station (Santa Lucia) and a few seconds away from a supermarket (open till 21:30) and everal restaurants. It's a side street, so not noisy. For me the flat was a bit too old fashioned (though I appreciate it could also be charming).
Disposing of the rubbish was a bit of a challenge, since different type of rubbish is collected on different days, and I had to walk around on the last morning, looking for the rubbish collector, as there's apparently a fine if we leave the rubbish in the flat.
- Anna (9/5): We had a great time. Highly recommended! - Great location. Close to good restaurant and shops. Walk distance to all attractions. True Venice experience. Very authentic.
- Shafurita (10/5): I feel like I was at home! - This place were more than beyond. Very good location, close to.the train station. Clean, organized, cozy. I feel like I was at home!!!

- Rebecca (9/5): Truly a home-away-from-home; an authentic Venetian experience for any small family. - The home (and it is a home, not an apartment) was lovely and gave what we felt was an authentic experience of living in Venice. There is a supermarket just around the corner and it's a short walk to the Grand Canal, train station and bus station. The layout makes it very family-friendly and there was sufficient space and equipment for a very comfortable stay. We got the impression there are places to eat in the back streets everywhere in Venice, and here was no exception; some lovely little restaurants and bars (and gelato shops) all within a short stroll. The only real challenge for us was the preparation for our trip. Not having access to online payment facilities made it challenging to deal with the pre-arrival payment of the city taxes. This caused a fair bit of stress while we were travelling in other countries before arriving in Italy, but once done was quickly moved on from.
- Varunya (9/5): Superb -
- Yichun (8/5): must follow the host’s guide to the stay. - Location many stairs
- Fernando (9/5): Great Stay, Family Friendly house, walking distance from train or bus station - Excelent location walking distance from the train or bus station No Air Conditioner and Venice is HOT
- Stefany (9/5): Superb - The location is fantastic! We especially enjoyed the retro interior and the amazing gardens that the kitchen and bedroom look out over. We couldn't have been happier, perfect for a family with kids. Can't fault the place - it was great!
- Williamson (10/5): I would highly recommend this apartment. You feel like you are truly living in Venice. The owners/staff are quick to - We loved that this was a traditional apartment. It is in a great area of the city, easy to get to, quiet at night, but close to everything. There was a cold bottle of water in the fridge and coffee for the morning. We liked everything about the apartment. Would just recommend they update their prices for things like the water taxi and maybe include instructions on how to get the ticket. This was the only place in Europe we found challenging to buy a ticket as not every water taxi station can sell and validate the tickets.
- Kramer (9/5): An authentic Venetian home, with room for the three of us. It was great. - It was a very short walk from the train station, and close to restaurants and food stores. Nothing in Venice is very far away. And it was a cool experience to stay in a home where the owners had themselves been raised. When we first arrived, everything was dark and it took us a while to find the light switches. We were there during an extra hot period, so we missed air conditioning. However, if temperatures had been more seasonable, it would not have been an issue.
- Paulette (5/5): Passable - Location was great! King bed wasn't a actual King, it was 2 twins pushed together. The other beds were not very comfortable, way to hard. We didn't know when we started to travel that we would have to pay the city tax before we got to the apartment. The owner wouldn't give us the check in info until the tax was paid by. The owner didn't tell us how to pay the city tax. I had to explain that we would pay it upon arrival. He finally agreed. It would be so much easier on travelers if all of this could have been completed at the time of booking, not the day before arrival. We were traveling/driving all over Italy seeing sites. The last thing I wanted to deal with was sending emails back and forth to owners of these places. Most of the owners didn't get my emails anyway. It was stressful constantly emailing and not hearing back for 24 hours or longer. The owner told us to take the garbage to the garbage boat, well no boat existed as we followed the instructions. We had to carry the garbage all the way to the end of town towards the parking garage. It was a long walk carrying suitcases and garbage.
- Steve (10/5): Quaint Apartment in a charming neighborhood close to the train station - This is a fabulous little apartment in the Santa Croce area of Venice, only a short walk from the Venice train station. Be aware you have to lug your suitcases over a couple of bridges with stairs to get there, but it is manageable. It had a homey feeling, and it was the home where the hosts grew up. Was nice to open up all the windows (and pull the screens to keep the bugs out) and hear the sounds of Venice. The trash-man sang as he made his rounds, and the sounds of someone playing (very well, I might add) a violin echoed through the courtyard. The kitchen was small, but very well appointed and had everything we would need. There was a grocery store (Conad) a minute away and the Santa Croce neighborhood had a couple of bakeries where we got croissants and cappuccinos. One bedroom had two twin beds, meaning a second couple could not comfortably sleep together. Really not much could be done about that. The room is too small for a double bed. The apartment had a very pretty loft/attic area with a single twin bed, but would be difficult for an adult to actually use.
- Julie (8/5): A fabulous traditional home in a great location about 10 minutes from the train station! - Absolutely fantastic location, 10 minutes from the train station. Cleaner let us leave luggage, which was so helpful. Really traditional home, quirky and comfortable, loved it. Nothing, would recommend and stay again.
- Tahlia (9/5): Superb - Nice place to stay, windows open onto a courtyard, just a short walk from the train station, comfortable beds, the host was nice and a good communicator and the directions to find the place were very clear The house smelt of smoke
- Philip (10/5): What a beautiful and uniquely Venetian place - The apartment house was an amazingly authentic Venetian home in a very residential area. If you want to feel the vibe of authentic Venice then this is the place for you. We stayed in mid-May and loved it!!!
- Dick (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Very good - Location
Easy access to train station Hard to find from ferry
a little clutterred and musty smelling
- Marco (8/5): Very good - - it’s close to the railway station
- big bedrooms - it would have been great to have the exact address (campiello dei squellini 907) instead of the name of the district (santa croce 907), because when we arrived in Venice we followed the district’s name thinking it was the street’s name and we got lost.
- furniture is old fashioned
- Agnieszka (10/5): Exceptional - A great apartment, giving you a feel of old Venice flat with a cool 70/80s vibe inside. The owner very helpful. Thank you
- Chris (10/5): Great for staying in town like a local - Such a great location and we truly felt like locals staying here. Had exactly what we needed and we highly highly recommend anyone to stay here. It was warm but plenty of fans were in the apartment to cool it down. Close to a nice little grocery and they leave you a good list of places to try for food. The one by the grocery store on the canal is a must!
- Lars (9/5): Superb -
- T (9/5): A very charming place - The location was excellent. Short walk from the train station but also food and museums. So many excellent restaurants close by. It was quite warm when we were there. Although they did have fans A.C. would have definitely been helpful.
- Rick (4/5): Home with 1 bathroom and 2 rooms - Location.. short distance to the train station Owner downstairs banged on the door asking us to stop walking around and asked us to take our shoes off. We were wearing sneakers. He was a mad angry italian Oldman. We tip toed during whole stay. Owner of the property communicates through emails and she was prompt with replies.
- Zailina (5/5): The stay was ok, there were mosquitoes and guests had to throw garbage was an insult. - Steep stairs up the apt. Difficult with 6 baggage. Old apt which not very safe if there is fire. The stove uses burner. Hot weather, we have to open windows but there mosquitoes which bit when you are asleep. Had to throw garbage.....how do I know which boat to dispose and what time they come by. We are tourist and the area is foreign to us. It is all should be included in the rental.
- Erwin (8/5): Very good - Easy check in process. Body wash or shampoo not provided, but not a very big issue!
- Bambang (8/5): Good location - Good location. Nothing special.
- Jo (9/5): Superb - Don't hesitate to book... walking distance from train station without water transport and getting too lost! Duck under and thru the tunnel/porch!
Space to spread out and perfect to be able to have 2 teens sleeping separately... even if it meant our 6ft 7 son was upstairs in the loft!
Santa Croce a lovely area and supermarket very close
Fabulous comms from Lucrezia...
Lovely garden outlook from living/dining area and even had live and talented violin for breakfast!
Lovely new bathroom Nothing
- Ilona (10/5): We are very satisfied with everything - Very good location, easy to find with google maps. The apartment was clean, cozy and had everything you needed. Special thanks to the hosts, for the chilled water left in the fridge, after the flight and drive to Venice, it was just what we needed. The apartment had everything necessary for cooking, including coffee and tea. We are very satisfied with the time spent here. The owners are responsive, kind and always reachable, they answer letters quickly. Everything was very good.
- Stephen (9/5): A lovely apartment, close to all amenities, good communication with this host ,made it so easy to find - The location was brilliant ,close to the railway ,and the bus terminal ,perfect for restaurants, cafes, and just a few minutes walk to the grand canal and the water taxis . There were two lots of stairs to the apartment so not good for people with walking difficulties, but nothing else to worry about .
- Dmitriy (9/5): Superb -
- Michela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hooi (10/5): sweet and warm stay - Thecleanliness is perfect, kitchen is well equipped and clean, the bed is comfortable. The host is very nice, providing clear instruction and suggestion. I like to experience how local life is and the property is able to let me experience it. the location is quiet and is very near to the train station. there is a market nearby(conad), only 1 min walk. I will strongly recommend to stay at this property. it will be best if washing machine is provided. other than that, all good.
- Kirsty (9/5): Fantastic stay, would recommend and stay here again - The property was in a fantastic location, so close to the station and lots of lovely affordable restaurants close by. The property was very traditional and clean. No air conditioning! In September, it was very hot in the apartment. The host provided fans but it was still very hot with them on.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
