Guest Reviews
- Tjaša (10/5): A true Tuscan gem - Don’t book this apartment if you’re looking for beige vibes and minimalist furniture — this place is the complete opposite. It’s full of colour, art, character and true Tuscan soul. Every corner feels creative. The views are beautiful, the location is perfect, and the whole experience felt so authentically Florence. I already saved it for my next trip and will definitely recommend it to friends. -
- ANDREW (9/5): - Spacious old apartment with lots of character. Very quiet yet close to the centre of San Niccolo. -
- Birgit (10/5): -
- Claudia (10/5): A hidden gem in Florence. - We loved absolutely everything about th aparment.
It is in an old historic building, in a beautiful part of Florence. The apatment is very near to all the main sights but is in a quieter authentic district. It still has bars, restaurants and shops but not filled with tourists.
The apartment itself is stunning, it has been decorated with beautiful antiques and artefacts. It was extremely clean with every convenience you culd wish for. The view of Florence from the window is magical and one we will remember forever.
Our host was so very kind and helpful. He gave us lots of excellent advice about hidden gems in Florence which we followed and enjoyed very much. He was also available for advice about buses and trains.
A magical apartment which we hope to return to again and again... We didn't like leaving the apartment, it is so beautiful.

- 9c1487f93926702292b48d12318ce7f8 (8/5): Lovely traditional apartment in a gorgeous location. - We really liked the location, space and views. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Lovely staying in a traditional apartment. It was quite for the location and a great spot from which to explore Florence with great close by food and drink options. The weak spot was the electrics, although we made do several lamps didn’t work, just one bedside in the main bedroom. The smart tv wasn’t wired into the internet and we’d of appreciated a kettle, but then we are English! For top marks I’d of appreciated things like some detergent for the washing machine, dishwasher and other minor resources for the kitchen but we bought what we needed.
Per me perfetto!!
- Andrea (9/5): Charming old-style place with perfect location - The location is great.. we could overlook the city roofs on one Site and on the other side we saw tuscany landscape. The appartement is large and the kitchen is a marvel . After all, the lovely apartment is old , so e.g. electricity is old fashioned. And to enjoy this all one has to walk up to the 3rd floor. Just like in old times. Check-in and check-out - time are, although clearly communicated, inconvenient in Florence.
- Aleksandra (8/5): - I really liked the apartment. It truly reflects the Italian charm. It is very spacious, with plenty of room, and located in a quiet neighborhood while still being within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The host was very welcoming, met us in person, showed us everything, and gave us great restaurant recommendations We were traveling as a group of four (two couples). The apartment has one bedroom with a bathroom and a second level with two separate beds. There is also a toilet on the second floor, although for us this layout felt slightly less comfortable, however, this was partly our mistake as we didn’t carefully check the details when booking.
As a small suggestion, it might be helpful to check the lighting, as in a few places it wasn’t working and one lamp kept blinking even after it was switched off.
- Hilary (8/5): - Great location,
- perkules1 (8/5): great location, perfect for a smaller group! - very characteristic appartment, located on a last floor of a building just outsude the city walls, just under the piazziale Michelangelo. Great location, great views. The only downside were the lamps - definitely underilluminated, no reading lamp, half of the bulbs were burnt out. The rest all good! The only downside were the lamps - the whole place is underilluminated, no reading lamp, no light in the sofa area, half of the bulbs were burnt out.
W okolicy liczne bary i restauracje. Wszędzie można dostać się pieszo. Do dyspozycji mieliśmy przestronne, klimatycznie urządzone mieszkanie. Serdecznie polecam.
- Joanne (9/5): This was a fabulous location for us and suited our needs perfectly - we hope to return very soon. - The location was excellent and just what we wanted i.e. a bit out of town but within easy walking distance and in a neighbourhood so we could pop out for a drink or some food if we wanted to. Any small issues we had we communicated to the host who was very responsive and gracious.
- Päivimaria (10/5): - Loved my stay here and can highly recommend this apartment to the travelers that wish for authentic experience in Florence. Beautiful vintage details all over the apartment
- Aline (10/5): Exceptionnel - Magnifique !
- Junbo (10/5): - Everything is perfect, friendly and welcoming stay, very gentlemanly, quiet location in a busy area, the room layout is also great, just like in the photos
- Federico (2/5): Poca trasparenza - Posizione ottima
Nulla
- Riccardo (10/5): Una Perla a Firenze - Appartamento Bellissimo e Ottimamento Ubicato. Pulito, Grande e Luminoso. Consigliatissimo. Niente. Tutto perfetto.
Sicuramente ritorneremo -
- Stefano (8/5): Magnifica casa e magnifica posizione. Peccato qualche dettaglio e poca chiarezza.
Impianto elettrico dell’abitazione vetusto.
Rumori in camera dall’abitazione adiacente
- Anna (10/5): Thank you! We had a great time and will come back! - Thank you so much! We had a great time! We enjoyed the view of the city roofs and the wall as well as the hill on the other side! It was chilly outside, but the apartment was warm and cozy. The walk to the center was quick and pleasant! We loved every moment of our stay and will come back!
- Zala (8/5): -
- Tim (9/5): Highly recommend - Good location, well furnished with some cool, quirky features and flexible and friendly check-in
- Jordann (10/5): -
- Terry (5/5): Would not recommend this apartment - Location We waited an hour to gain entry to this apartment, and was so disappointed, as although it had a certain charm , it totally lacked the comfort and basic facilities , there was no toaster
no kettle , a coffee machine but no pods .
Shower was small and outdated
Very old electrical points insufficient lighting especially in the bedrooms and stairwell , with three flights of steep stairs to encounter!
Extremely basic accommodation for the money , couldn’t log on to wifi which was reported but not acknowledged.
Very poor experience .
- Rachel (10/5): - This apartment is absolutely stunning. A piece of authentic Italy set just outside the old city wall. The location is stunning and very easy to find. To say the pictures don't do this place justice is an understatement. It feels like a home, lots of beautiful items, books anything you can think of this place has it! The kitchen is to die for, with a view over the gardens...it felt so authentic. Very clean, and comfortable. We were met by a lovely gentleman who helped us with our bags. There is a few flights of stairs and no elevator but we were greeted and helped with such kindness, it didn't matter! I can't say how much we loved this place...I would definitely go back here for a longer stay and enjoy the city from a quieter setting. Everything including the cathedral is within walking distance. Beautiful restaurants literally minutes away. Nothing...it was perfect.
- Ivana (9/5): lovely place and views! - The location is convenient for walking to most of the popular sites and discovering quite a few nice bars and restaurants. The appartment looked exactly like on the photos. The guy handing over the keys was not really flexible. So the host's offer to check-in a bit before an estimated hour could not realistically be used.
- Barrett (10/5): - Slightly quirky apartment with the vibe of staying at a friend's place. Excellent location a short walk from the city centre. Good views from the dining room window. Decent A/C. Very well equipped kitchen. Really enjoyed 3 nights here. 100% recommend.
- Nicola (6/5): - Beautiful apartment, full of charm and character, in an excellent location within walking distance of the main site seeing areas. The host was very nice and the apartment had everything you need to cook & eat with. A few flickering light moments, but fine. It is 3rd floor, so not good for anyone with disabilities. The apartment is only partially air-conditioned - the top mezzanine room. The main bedroom has no air-conditioning - only a VERY noisy large plug in fan. We could not leave the window open as it's beside a VERY noisy road where motor cycles continuously roar up during the night. We got continuously bitten by mosquitos wich didn't help matters. One of the single beds is very uncomfortable and my teenage son had to sleep on the couch. it's a beautiful place, but we didn't sleep well at all unfortunately.
- Joan (10/5): -
- Morgan (7/5): Fantastic location. Good views. Perfect for our short family visit to Florence. - Excellent location. Great character. Spacious. Air-conditioning not very effective. Many lights not working.
- Hayes (6/5): June 2025 HOT - Quirky old nice views out windows Too far up stairs for older people, take note.Only one heat pump upstairs but hot below.need to plug fan.
- Cristinalm (9/5): Lovely stay in Florence - The location of the flat is wonderful, just 10-minute walk from Piazzale Michelangelo. It was very easy to communicate and get the keys. The flat is very beautiful, traditional Tuscan, and very large. We were two, but it could easily accommodate four people. The view from the kitchen was lovely, directly looking over San Miniato al Monte. It was really hot outside but the air conditioning worked a charm. The flat could use some mosquito nets, either in the windows or to place over the bed. There was also no cutting board, and it might be a good idea to buy an electric gas lighter to turn on the kitchen. And a new Bialetti. And the city tax should be able to be paid by card, getting the exact coins is always a nuisance.
- Misael (8/5): Very good - Good location and big house department Nothing
- Petra (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication with the host and the handler who brought us the keys. The apartment is very nice and well equiped. View of the city from the window. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood, about 10 minutes to the bridge and you are in the center. Would stay here again. 3 flights of stairs could be a problem for some people. We were ok with that.
- Emily (10/5): Full of charm and a great location! - The host at check in was very nice and accommodating. He explained everything about the property and even gave us some recommendations of places nearby to check out for food and sight seeing. The location of the apartment was lovely, it was a short walk to many main attractions and restaurants. It stayed warm at night but also had great airflow throughout the place. The decorations and furniture looked very nice and the bed was super comfortable. I stayed here with a friend and it was plenty of space for two people. Also, the washing machine was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place! The toilet was a bit hard to flush and didn’t have much pressure. Also the overhead light in the bedroom didn’t work.
- Chong (10/5): Exceptional - I have no words any more.... my best experience ever in Firenze.
In a city like this, the first imagination will be sleeping in an apartment like this, and we made it.
Vintage style like a old museum. No elevator, and the sound insulation is not so good. but as an old apartment, it's normal.
- Artem (8/5): Very good -
- Kons (7/5): Good -
- Amirtharajah (10/5): Exceptional - the convenience of the location, and the size of the apartment made for an incredibly comfortable stay
- Volodymyr (9/5): Gorgeous apartment - Gorgeous apartment close to Piazzale Michelangelo, which is a beautiful spot and a must see either at sunrise or sunset. Only 15-20 mins away from Ponte Vecchio and city center. Some things are a little bit too vintage in the apartment but that just added it character. My fiancé and I loved this stay and will probably be coming back:)
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Beautiful and great host Quite hot. Small shower.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious, a cool retreat from the sun, located near fantastic restaurants, very cute interior design. A perfect stay.
- Amanda (8/5): We loved this charming apartment in spite of a shocking experience with an electrical hazard. - This apartment is in a terrific location, immediately outside one of the old walls of the city, on the south side of the Arno River. It's in easy walking distance from all the sights in the historical center of Florence on the north side of the Arno, but just far enough off the beaten path for peace and quiet. We could hear neighborhood chickens clucking in the morning, and the views from the apartment windows are just as pretty as advertised. The apartment itself is spacious (especially the beautifully furnished main bedroom and a comfortable sitting area and dining room) and incredibly charming, and the building has a modern, wide, well-lit staircase so even though you will be hauling your luggage up several flights, you won't be worried about losing your balance on a dark, narrow spiral stair! There are several restaurants, bars, and places for gelato only a block (or less) away, so if you are too tired to walk across the river, never fear, you will still get a good meal or refreshment. We especially enjoyed Principe del Mare for dinner, and the gelateria almost next door. When we arrived, the internet wasn't functioning, but our host contacted the service provider promptly and a workman came from the company the next day and installed a new outlet for the router, which took care of the problem. The kitchen was small but very functional, with lovely marble counters and a marble-topped table in a breakfast nook and the generously-sized bathroom was especially cute, with a full size bathtub. We didn't do laundry, but there is a washing machine in a small half-bath off the sleeping loft above the living room. The sitting room and dining room were quite dark. There are a number of standing lamps in the apartment, but some of them did not have bulbs screwed into all the sockets, in spite of being plugged in. Obviously this is a hazardous situation, and we were alerted to it because I reached under the shade of a standing lamp in the bedroom to feel around for a switch, and instead stuck my finger into an empty socket and received a very nasty shock. That lamp not only had an empty socket, but one that was broken, dangling down loosely from a wire. We unplugged that lamp, and the others we found without all their bulbs. Florence was very hot when we visited, and the single mini-split in the apartment wasn't adequate for cooling. The handle for window in the breakfast nook (with the postcard view) was broken, so it couldn't be opened. The overhead fan in the main bedroom was powerful, but also powerfully loud--it squeaked and screeched and occasionally got so loud we were afraid it would fly out of the ceiling. It was certainly too loud to sleep through, so we contacted our hosts, who brought a standing fan. We appreciated their responsiveness, but we hope they will fix or replace the overhead fan, which would be a much more effective way to cool the room.
- Tristan (9/5): Superb -
- Shu-tzu (7/5): Unique country style furnitured - Location and boutique and traditional style There is no air condition so need to open the window on the first night even though we only open that night but we got bite by mosquito every nights can’t sleep well. Hope they can get van for hot weather!
Also, we had to pay the $20 penalty for checking after 8 pm. This never happens to us in the other hotels. I wish I could knew that before I booked.
As it’s a traditional building so no lift ( plenty stairs). Bathroom have one window without blind so feel a bit awkward when showering. It’s a beautiful place but just need a bit improvement for more joy!
- Vivek (9/5): Superb -
- Jasper (10/5): Stay here! - Great location, just outside the city walls. Close to a fantastic view and even when stepping outside, it always smelled fresh and very green! Super spacious house and very clean! A few of the lights weren’t working, but this wasn’t a big deal
- Gillian (10/5): Stunning apartment - Beautiful rustic, historical, flat with views!!! Needs a shower curtain! Beds a bit loud in the springs.
- Mindaugas (1/5): Bad - The host was not communicating timely. The host was late by 50min to let us inside. The apartment was cold, it took few hours to get warm temperature. The host even canceled our stay, even though we spent a night.
- Di̇lan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anh (8/5): Very good - Italian decoration. Very nice and cozy Lack of lightings. It is a bit dark in the house at night
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional - The location is great and the apartment is very charming. We couldn’t get the coffee machine and microwave plugs to fit in the power points.
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (8/5): Great location, great view - The location was the best part of the stay. Very close to all the must see places, and near amazing restaurants, like Zeb. The place was just as the pictures, very vintage, and the views were beautiful. The place was way too big for 2 people. The plastic curtain for the bathtub was torn. I wish the host would've given us a map of the city, I think that was missing.
- Dee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giorgi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely charming apartment in a fabulous location. Close to Piazza Michelangelo and eateries. Great views too. Will stay here a again. The stairs. On top floor. I have minor mobility issues. Husband and son had no issues. Worth the effort for the views.
- Chuyan (9/5): Superb - The location is great. It is not in tcl area. We were driving to the apartment, and it was not easy to find a parking.
- Sandra (8/5): Great for short aithentic stay - Great location, authentic historical building, much space. No parking near if you come with the car, additional price and walk from public garage.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing, nice and quiet and away from all the bustle of the crowds. The style of the apartment was quirky and interesting. It was well equipped with all the things one needs. It felt like our home for a whole week. Loved it and would thoroughly recommend it.
- Dragana (1/5): Needs new things with the old... - Florence and a couple nice restaurants close by. Not clean, had a very bad smell. Half the lights and sockets didn't work. Windows didn't close properly. Very loud neighbourhood at night.Furniture needs updating. I like the overall look but needs new couches, bed and renovation. Very old dryer and ironing board. Clean sheets but old blankets.
- Debz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Elegantly located apartment with beautiful interior. Wonderful host. - A beautiful bohemian apartment in a glorious location close to the Ponte Vecchio but without the tourist crowds. Nothing to dislike, although the upstairs toilet is an adventure - it flushes randomly like a military jet taking off.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful, comfortable apartment to stay in. Views were quaint and everything about the apartment charming. Couldn't stay longer
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional stay! - Amazing apartment! It felt like home. Great location. I will return to Florence for longer and book this place to stay again. Highly recommended!
- Edita (8/5): Recommended - Superb location, very close to the old town and restaurants. Parking is tricky, we could drive right up to the apartment to unload, do that was helpful. Parking is available in surrounding streets around 10 min away, costing 2.50 per hour. We parked at Michelangelo residence, 15 minutes pleasant stroll away, at €1 per hour, 8am to 8pm, Sundays free
- Simon (9/5): Great short stay close to everything - Great location in old town - close to basilica and escaping to the quieter area of Florence. The apartment was comfortable and homely. A few basics such as washing up liquid were missing and would have been useful.
- Diane (7/5): Great communication from the manager of the property, nice courtyard views. - Our property manager met us and helped us bring our luggage up to the top floor. He was great at communicating with us. The views are pretty~ This property is on the top floor and no elevator. The second bedroom is in a loft, and it was really hot. The air conditioner never cooled it down enough to sleep up there. The decor is a bit odd and even somewhat creepy. The tiny baby feet stickers in the shower were odd, and there was a small door upstairs next to the bed that was unsettling. They had coffee makers but no coffee and nothing close by to grab a coffee and return to the property. Bring your own! Don't plan to park very close to the property, either.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Loved the decoration.
- Elena (6/5): Pleasant - Brilliant location, affordable price, atmospheric apartment, nice windows views, nice and friendly host representative who was speaking good English - the property changed the check in time from 12.00 to 15.00 after the booking has been made
- the cleaning hasn't been done by check in time 15.00 and completed only after 18.00 when I was returned to the apartment for the second time. The cleaner has been still here for while, which was really inconvenient
- the host requested a city tax to be paid only by cash - very inconvenient for travellers who uses cards/phone payments only. I had to spend my time looking for an ATM, and paid a ridiculous fees for cash withdrawal I didn't intend to make
- Gulnur (8/5): Very good -
- Celia (10/5): Love it. Will definitely book it again - It is very clean , well decorated- I love it The check in was delayed 1 hour
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good - Very large apartment with several rooms. Convenient location next to old city wall. The steps to get up to the top floor apartment!
- Francesca (8/5): Lovely stay in Florence - Great place to stay and a good location. Loved the style of the place, we thought it was very cool! Would recommend!
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- Kerrie (7/5): Lovely characterful apartment in a good location. - Quirky apartment with eclectic decor. Spacious and in a good location close to a few restaurants and not too far to walk into city centre. There’s a lot of stairs to reach the apartment, especially when carrying cases. The road outside, although not busy, is noisy due to the acoustics created by the city wall.
- Gabriela (9/5): Superb - What a nice apartament :) Located near to the center, spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed staying there a lot.
- Emmanouil! (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Fabulous Florence - The apartment was close enough to the city but also far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The area is quiet and peaceful. The view from the apartment is beautiful. The welcome was super with great hints and tips for our stay in Florence.
We think the apartment is wonderful, very much a home from home with all of the comfort you need after all of the sight seeing, shopping and visits to the restraunts and cafes. Nothing.
- Lucy (7/5): Good -
- Boaru (10/5): Florence is a wonderful city, and the apartment is suitable for a pleasant stay - The location is close to all points of interest
- Susan (4/5): Stairway to somewhere - Roominess of apartment was great. 4 flights of stairs which we were not made aware of prior to booking. No directions on how to use television. .
- Magdalena (8/5): I definetely recommend it. - Great location, wonderful viev to the Dome. Spacious apartment fully equiped with all you may need while staying in Florence. It was warm inside, which was important because it was quite cold outside. A bathroom at the top had no running shower and the window over there was not tight which made upper room a bit cold.
- Caleb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sumeet (9/5): Comfortable stay - Location was good with easy access to bus stop and restaurants heating system was not very effective on upper floor
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, spacious, clean apartment with incredible view. The hist was very attentive and helpful. Kitchen well equipes. We are in for people and one of the rooms is nota private.
