Guest Reviews
- Hannah (4/5): A great affordable find if you book last minute and can’t find anywhere else reasonable to stay. - Location was incredible! So close to all the historic hot spots in Florence. The view from the top floor is totally worth the steps. The terrace is lovely. Host was very quick to respond. Check-in process was not convenient. We were told to pick up the keys from an employee at a coffee shop but there was miscommunication so we couldn’t get our keys for a little bit. Not very clean. There was still trash under some of the furniture when we arrived. Only one of the three outlets available worked and not many outlets. Hot water was inconsistent, either scalding hot or ice cold. Shower flooded so we were instructed to rinse for a few seconds, and then use a toilet plunger every few seconds to keep it from over flowing. The bed isn’t really a bed it’s a mattress on the floor of a loft. Furniture was slightly broken so you couldn’t sit at the table on the terrace. There was no dresser to store your clothes.
- Cynthia (2/5): Cannot attach video. Facility is in serious need of repair. Basic needs were not met - Beer and bread was left from the previous tenant. Facility is listed as 2 beds, no bedding was provided for the couch bed because they said I didn’t ask. Requested blankets 2x received none. Couldn’t use the shower day 1 as the drain was clogged. Fixed it snd brought sheets for bed 2 next day. Could not have been cleaned shower if clogged, couch bed has a gross stain, flooring and bathroom door warped, kitchen counter upstairs not secure nor safe. Was not provided house number till I arrived and stood in the street for 20 minutes. Location
- Anna (8/5): Einfache aber ausreichend in Ausstattung. Wunderbarer Kiez. Authentisches Flair.
A manutenção/limpeza deixou a desejar.
- Davin (7/5): Well located apartment with a responsive host. - The host was easy to communicate with. The location is fabulous and it was very clean. The outlet next to the bed did not work. The cutting board and towels in the kitchen smelled rotting. The shower does not drain well.
- Ruta (1/5): -
- Brian (7/5): Great location and rooftop terrace - Fabulous views from the rooftop terrace. Very small shower
- Steinar (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Amazing stay. Amazing view. Great host. - Great location, comfy bed. An entire apartment to yourself. Gas stove is great for cooking breakfast. The view is absolutely spectacular as well. With a perfect little sitting setup to view duomo while you eat and relax. The shower is a bit tight. Look through the photos to understand which entrance is yours upon arrival, as the address in the listing doesn’t direct you to a specific unit, but just a general area (or it just isn’t mapped correctly on google maps).
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mayumi (2/5): **Check All Comments and Photos Carefully Before Booking!** - We were surprised by the high ratings for this property and regretted our decision to stay. While there were a couple of positives, the overall experience was very disappointing.
- Beatrice was kind and responsive, addressing issues such as shower drainage, a smelly toilet, and mosquito/bed bug concerns.
- The veranda offers a pleasant view of a historical building. - **Noisy, uneven flooring:** Walking around created loud creaking sounds, disturbing others at night and making the property feel cheap.
- **Kitchen issues:** The small, crooked bench made it impossible to use for plates, utensils, or other kitchen items.
- **Unpleasant odour in the toilet:** We had to request an air freshener to manage the persistent smell.
- **Terrible shower:** The shower was very tiny, lacked a holder for the showerhead, had fluctuating water temperatures, and clogged each time we had shower.
- **Inconvenient stairs:** While manageable for daily use, the stairs were particularly challenging for travellers with luggage.
- **Lack of cleaning:** During our 7-night stay, there was no cleaning service or change of sheets/towels. Is this standard in Italy?
We paid $200 NZD per night (€100) through Booking.com and expected far better value. The condition of the property was so poor it brought me to tears. While the property itself deserves a 1-star rating, I am giving 2 stars to acknowledge Beatrice’s efforts.
- Darren (10/5): Amazing viewings and host! - The views from the apartment are second to none. The view of the Dummo is simple breathtaking. The host was very accommodating, easy to contact, and extremely helpful. The 73 step to the apartment. That said, after a couple of days, you get used to them, and the views make up for the pain!
- Christine (6/5): Great location in Florence. - The location was fantastic, close to all of Florence’s attractions and lots of great restaurants and cafes.
Lovely view from the rooftop terrace. The bathroom is tiny. The linens (towels and sheets)need to be replaced. No toiletries or coffee provided.
The stairs to the apartment are very steep, and the layout of the apartment is not suited to someone with mobility issues.
- Josephina (10/5): If you have the chance to visit Florence, this amazing apartment is definitely the one to choose with its amazing views, - We loved this apartment so much! The view and overall facilities were amazing, located near the city center in a quiet part of the city with an amazing host who was so lovely and very understanding and helpful! We stayed in the apartment in August so it was quite warm inside all day. The fans provided were amazing though and helped lots!
- Kate (9/5): Superb - This was such a lovely apartment in a really great area. It was within walking distance to attractions but the area itself was really quiet and much more relaxing than the very centre. The rooftop terrace is incredible! The apartment had everything we needed. Unfortunately we struggled a bit with the heat. There are fans but they weren’t very effective during the very hot summer days. Something to be aware of if you’re booking in summer.
- Olivia (8/5): Location and hosts were fantastic! - View from the terrace was beautiful!
So glad to have a fan during the heat.
Nice and spacious.
Great location!
Super easy check in. Great communication with the hosts. The shower. Didn’t hold a temperature for more than 30 seconds to a minute. Then would either go extremely cold or extremely hot. Which was frustrating.
Also not a complaint! But the stairs are no joke hahaha
- Antoine (9/5): Cosy and charming ! - The balcony and the view was the highlight of this accommodation. The fan was very useful because of the heat.
- Patrick (8/5): Very cute, romantic space with great views of the Duomo - Beautiful view of the Duomo from the roof. Beatrice the host was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Very cute, romantic apartment. The bathroom was a bit small and shower was quite tight/uncomfortable. Some of the corners of the bathroom could have been slightly cleaner (mold above the toliet near the ceiling). The vinyl flooring was detaching a bit in certain areas so it was a little bit of a tripping hazard. It's obviously a very old structure so these things weren't huge deals.
- Baksa (9/5): Such a cute place, we loved it! Everything was perfect, good location, beautiful terrace, well-equipped kitchen. - Such a cute place, we loved it! Everything was perfect, good location, beautiful terrace, well-equipped kitchen. The check in time is from 4 p.m which is very late, and the check-out is 10 a.m. However we could leave our baggages at the place.
- Nelli_d (10/5): Don't miss booking this if it is available - I enjoyed my stay there that I would love to stay there if or when i go back to Florence. Beatrice, our host is amazing, helpful, and kind. Everything is close or in walking distance. If not, there are bus stations close by. If you have a chance of booking this, definitely do it. Stairs. There are too many stairs, but it is my fault I did pack a lot of stuff. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say.
- Meaghan (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Met on time by Beatrice who offered us any help we needed. Great position in Florence and although small the terrace makes us for that. Would definitely stay again. Whilst it was okay for us be aware there are alot of steps up to the apartment.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The flat was cozy and Beatrice very nice. The flat was close to the center and had Supermarket nearby. The stairs, we had 73 stairs to the top and the flat was very, very hot. It's needed a conditioner air.
- Giulia (10/5): Exceptional - Really warm and kind owner that really looks out for your confort and enjoyment of your stay. The location was perfect and the terrace was absolutely stunning! It is a perfect place to stay for the holidays, granting great flexibility with planning.
There's a supermarket 2 minutes away which is perfect for convenience purchases. The city center is a 10 minute walk meaning you can visit the city whenever you like without any time constraints (we particularly enjoyed some night walks when it's fresher. The location of the appartement allowed us to go about the city freely).
The terrace is without a doubt the best attribute from the attichino. Perfect for eating lunch/aperitif/dinner with a wonderful view. Definitely will never forget it!
I really recommend this place to really enjoy Florence without any worries! :) There really isn't anything to not like. It was a fantastic stay!
- Michelle (3/5): Poor - The location was great the balcony was lovely to use. No air con and lots of mosquitoes. No fly screens on the windows it was super hot so we were eaten alive.
The "bed" is uncomfortable.
It could use a couple of things like a kettle to make a coffee , something to dry your dishes.
I wouldn't stay here in any of the warmer months.
The shower head didn't have any attachment to the wall so you had to hold it.
- Caroline (9/5): Romantic Attic - The appartment was in a great location. We loved the terrace and the veiw from there. The appartment was well supplied with everything we needed We felt the flooring needed relaying as it was very uneven. There was no comfortable chaires on the terrace so couldn't sit for long periods.
- Adum708 (9/5): What a view - Great location. Incredible view from patio; perfect for drinks in the evening. Host was amazing! Very easy to contact! Due to old building can get a bit stuffy. The kitchen is tight too but well equipped! The stairs. But what can you do. Worth it for view.
- Stefani (9/5): Cool place, would recommend - - The location of the place
- Host seemed flexible
- Nice views - The check in is a bit late (4pm) as per booking rules. It was prepared earlier than that time, but still, 2-3pm sounds more reasonable to put in your listing.
- Tatsiana (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view from terrace, great location, cozy apartments with all nessasery staff. Bathroom a little bit tiny and stairs is steep, but it not a big problem :)
- Peishan (8/5): Very good -
- Ismael (9/5): Superb -
- Rumiana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vygandas (9/5): The stay was great, we got everything we needed :) - The view of the apartment was amazing, even though we had to climb the stairs every day :D. Very close to all of the most popular sightseeing places or galeries. The floors are a bit in need of renovation and it do be quite cold at this time of the year (november 14th-21st), the heater definitely helped tho! I wish there was a kettle.
- Gabriella (8/5): Very central location close to the duomo, nice terrace - The host was very nice, we arrived later than we expected, but she've waited for us. It's a huge apartment with 2 floors. It's in central location. There is a very big terrace from where you can see the Duomo. There are table and chairs, perfect for nights and breakfasts also. Basic equipment in the kitchen, like olive oil, salt, crackers, tableware etc. On exit day the host allowed us to leave our luggage in their other apartment, it was big ease for us. The bathroom is very little. The air in the apartment is a bit wet, I think the walls are not dry. The bed (mattress) is in a narrower space so it doesn't ok for people who have claustrophobia.
- Fongfa (9/5): Great short stay in city center, host was really helpful. - location Bathroom, too many steps (high floor, no lift)
- Xia (10/5): Perfect sighting, Home Like Living experience - The room was very classical, as if taking me back to medieval Italy. This unique experience made my travel experience very good. Every thing is perfect
- Andres (10/5): Exceptional - The hospitality of Beatrice and Camilla
- Murphy (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing room, plenty of space and great location with terrace view of the city Several flights of stairs to get to the room
- Hugo (10/5): Amazing stay ! - Beatrice was very nice and helpful. The apartment is cosy, clean and conveniently located inthe city center. The view from the terrace is beautiful !
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - The upstairs terrace was simply stunning
- Mathieu (10/5): Amazing appartment with an amazing view - A Superb and very well placed apartment with an extraordinary terrace and a breathtaking view of the Duomo.
Everything was very clean and very convenient.
Beatrice is very nice and super helpful.
Thank you for this stay!
- Alex (8/5): Quirky, beautiful apartment with a great view. - We loved the view from the roof terrace and the rustic feel of the apartment. The apartment is in a wonderful location and a short walk to all the best locations. The bathroom is quite small but a cute little window to look out of. There are quite a lot of stairs so we got strong legs. be aware there is no aircon and check the temperature at the time of year you are going!
