- YUDHIR (10/5): I would highly recommend anyone visiting rome to stay here. Alessandra and Cinzia are so helpful. And vist trastevere, i - The property was excellent, the host were very helpful and resolves any questions we had. The location of the property is exceptional. Initially we thought it might be far from central rome but once we came here and felt that Trastevere is place you should explore more. The food, neighborhood, just a bus to central rome so many things to appreciate. Nothing we would say, our stay was so pleasant.
- louise (7/5): Convent location - The property was in a good location for restaurants and cafes. It was about 30/40 mins out from the centre of Rome. Good for buses and trams. The apartment was comfortable. I didn’t like the size of the bedroom. It was quite small getting in and out from around the bed. The bathroom was quite narrow too.
- Audrey (9/5): - Super accueil, de très bons conseils
Appartement bien situé, bien équipé, confort literie
- Eve (10/5): Look no further than Gianicolo Holiday House. It's everything you want for an apartment in Rome. - Trastevere in general and the apartment specifically were centrally located for trips to other areas of Rome. It was all great.

- shablinsky (10/5): we are planning to stay there again - Excellent location, neat apartment , friendly hosts - what else can you wish during vacation? Nothing
- Viswanath (10/5): Trastevere's Hidden Gem - Alessandra the host is such a gentle woman who took so much care of us and made sure our stay was more than comfortable and pleasant ..She is the best and for anyone going to Trastevere, please look no where else...This is the place to be 👍 Nothing in particular
- Julie-anne (10/5): Exceptional - Location was excellent. Host was lovely. Very accommodating and even had a baby crib, high chair and change mat. Excellent service No complaints
- Samantha (10/5): What more could we possibly ask?! - Brilliant location. Spacious apartment with just the right amenities we need Nothing
- Samara (9/5): We had a wonderful experience, staying in this apartment. - Lovely 1 bedroom apartment, perfect for our family of 3. We stayed here for 3 nights. The host Alessandra was wonderful. There are a lot of great cafes and restaurants close by. Location is great with trains and buses are close. Do not miss visiting the Santa Maria basilica which is an 8 min walk from the apartment. It’s a gorgeous church.
- Larry (7/5): Good - Excellent location and accommodation.
Great host - very welcoming and took care of details well Outside noise from the downstairs restaurant/bar was disturbing
- Shaowei (10/5): The place is spacious, clean, safe and stylish. It’s located in a quiet, historic and well established neighborhood. I -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Alessandra is an excellent host, very friendly and gave us lots of information
- Barry (10/5): Perfect place to stay for a four day break in Rome - Fantastic location, lovely appartment - Alessandra was a great host and very helpful with any questions we had. Beautiful part of Rome and easy access to all places we wanted to visit. Everything was great!
- Đorđe (10/5): beautiful Trastevere experiencen - great hospitality by Allesandra the owner! complementary bottle of wine, coffee and continental breakfast each morning. nice neibourhood, connection to downtown by lines 3, 8 and 44. everything was perfect beds are spring beds actually but it was ok
- Thomas (1/5): Small & Cramped, Overpriced, and Inconveniently Located... Host also comes off as very Disconcerting - Gianicolo Holiday House was a big disappointment. Initially, the host was ostensibly welcoming and gracious. It turns out she was piddly and disconcerting. If I had to find something positive, I would say that the interior of the property was clean. Gianicolo Holiday House is overpriced for what occupants receive. The apartment is 30 to 45 minutes minutes from major tourist attractions, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, or Vatican City (the Sistine Chapel). Also, it took over 30 minutes to arrive to the property from the airport (CIA) via auto (taxi).
The property includes one very small bedroom with a full-size bed; the bedroom is literally about the same size as the bed itself. The length of the bed is approximately 15 cm shorter than the length of the room, meaning you will need to climb over the bed to get to the other side of the bedroom. Also, the width of the bed is about 1/2 meter smaller (in total) than the entire width of the bedroom. There is room for one very very small “nightstand.” The property also includes a pull-out sofa. If you do not have a bad back before using it, you will have definitely have an achy back after using it.
Each of the three days included loud building construction of the property, including hammering and use of power tools from above. This lasted at least 3 hours daily.
We had to take the trash out to bins that were around the corner of the building, about 150m away. We were also told by the host to not keep the AC below 22 C. At 250€ daily to stay at this property, I would think my family and I should be allowed to use the AC as we pleased.
The bathroom facilities were also very tight quartered.
To make matters worse, my son had forgotten his jacket when we checked-out. While we appreciated the host agreeing to mail the jacket to us, I was stunned that she demanded we first pay her the 12€ to ship the jacket before actually shipping it. Really?! ... after we paid 750€ to stay 3 days at her subpar unit? I was not going to share the negative aspects of this property until this last display of poor character by the host, who, ultimately, comes off as cheap and disconcerting.
In summary, the unit is small & cramped, overpriced, and not conveniently located.
- Christine (9/5): Great location great space. - Excellent location and accommodations- this is was so appreciated. Host was fantastic.
- Rach.77 (10/5): Amazing apartment, perfect location, and superb host! - Alessandra was the perfect host. She organised for a friend Giampaolo to meet us at the property when we arrived, and he thoroughly explained everything we needed to know for the apartment and our stay.
They provided a map and a detailed guide booklet of all local landmarks and restaurants and a bottle of wine for our arrival, which was so thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The apartment is amazing, and we had everything we needed, including toiletries, snacks, tea, and coffee. It was super clean and tidy with really comfortable beds and perfect for our needs.
The location is excellent and walking distance to most areas, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and bars, and just on the outskirts of the busy area in Travestere.
Thank you so much for our stay, we highly recommend this to anyone. We have no complaints at all for this stay

Lovely light airy apartment.. Lovely balcony view.

Restaurant next door too. Nothing

- Feyruz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): Live like a local , with the locals of Trastevere - love it 😍 - I loved the location and the character of the area. The apartment made me feel as I was truly living the roman way of life . Alessandro was the perfect host. She was on hand to assist me with directions on how to get from Roma airport to the Trastevere district via train. I was welcomed on arrival at the apartment with a lovely cake and a bottle of Italian red wine . Nothing . Loved it. There was a bar downstairs and at night it was quite busy, but the noise did not bother me, it bought into the character of the area. If troubled, the windows blocked any noise out. A comfortable apartment .
- גילי (10/5): Recomended - It was perfect, the location, the apartment, good air-condition, clean, alessandra was very nice and welcoming , very helpful, we have mini market, coffee shop and restaurant jus under the building ! Perfect ! Non
- Amanda (10/5): Beautiful apartment in an amazing area managed by a wonderful host - location was amazing, flat was beautifully decorated and very clean. Tea/coffee and basic bathroom products provided. Bar below is great and filled with locals, amazing restaurants nearby
Allasandra is a wonderful host and I would not hesitate to return
- Aiste (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable beds, apartment could be like a two separate room, owner of apartment was super helpful and gave a lot of information, great location. There is nothing I could mention
- Mette (9/5): Superb -
- Noam (8/5): Very good -
- Naama (10/5): Love it! - First, our host was so helpful and generous! Second, we loved the location, although not in the center, it was nice to return to the quiet neighborhood! Third, the apartment was cozy, comfortable, and was super clean!
- Steph (8/5): Very good - Location was fantastic, lovely home from home feel
- Liz (9/5): Perfect location for sightseeing in Rome - we would go back! - Great location for sightseeing in Rome. Trastevere is very pretty and characteristic and is a good location if you want to stay away from the busy centre, but still be 30 minutes walking from all the main sights (pretty much equidistant from everywhere). It’s a fun, lively location with lots of bars and restaurants and the opportunity to try typical Roman food at reasonable prices. The flat is only a 10 minute walk from Belvedere del Gianicolo and the stunning Fontana dell'Acqua Paola.
The flat is clean and comfortable with everything you need. The main room is bright and airy and the sofa bed is very easy to use. It’s a very practical flat and a good base. Alessandra is a great host! She was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming - very accommodating and gave us some great tips and advice to enjoy our stay.
- Sandra (9/5): great stay in Rome in a lovely place in Trastevere - very nice contact with Alessandra, flat right in Trastevere, a very colourful and lively neighbourhood;
flat has everything you need, air conditioning when it gets too hot, sleeps 4 people comfortably, shower gel and soap provided, lovely reception with wine & snacks;
the flat is really as described and shown on the pictures - very comfy when you come home after a day full of great impressions from beautiful Rome we knew that it would not be super quiet in Trastevere but within the house it was very loud until very late at night even though the street is a little off the middle of Trastevere, might come from the restaurant right below, the bar next door (highly recommended for an Italian breakfast or drinks in general!) or just very loud neighbours - it‘s just something you should know and consider when staying in this otherwise very lovely place
- Neal (10/5): When in Rome - stay here!!! - A beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. It was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and clean. We couldn’t have dreamt up a better place to stay in Rome. Our host was warm, friendly and informative giving all the practical information we needed. We would recommend this place very highly.
