• Natalia (9/5): - El apartamento es amplio y hecho de buenos materiales, todo está impecable, la vista es linda, tiene buena luz. No lo usamos pero tiene lavarropas, la cocina estaba bien equipada y el baño era super cómodo. Los impuestos de la ciudad hay que pagarlos aparte y el dueño no nos termina de explicar cómo hacerlo. Entiendo que debería cobrarse directamente desde Booking para que sea más fácil y no generar problemas.

• Alexandra (10/5): - The apartment is really nice. Location is perfect, Guidecca is so nice and the view on the water is just good. I loved that there were so many pillows so that I slept very well. Also loved the feature that you could connect your music to all rooms in the apartment. The apartment has everything you need for a great stay in Venice.

De plus l’hôte a été très professionnel par message et nous a donné quelques conseils pour notre séjour à Venise. Je recommande fortement. Le seul bémol est qu’il est nécessaire de prendre le bateau des que l’on veut aller au centre de Venise mais le trajet est rapide.

Wir wurden nicht von der Vaporetto-Haltestelle abgeholt und erhielten stattdessen unvollständige Instruktionen- so wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, in welcher Etage die Wohnung liegt. Die Auffindung des Schlüssels war sehr kompliziert. Der Verantwortliche kam kein einziges Mal vorbei.

Lovely views and quiet neighbourhood. Nice restaurants and grocery store in walking distance. Friendly and flexible host, great communications. If you are looking for an apartment on Giudecca, stop looking and book this. All was as advertised and it was great to see host listens to feedback e.g. now there were wine glasses and coffee filter.

Stopped shower, kinda old apartment, no coffee or water in apartment; only old tea, expect to get eaten by mosquitoes if you're not willing to hunt them down one by one. Gets kinda pricey to get to and back from the main island.

• Abigail (10/5): Pleasant surprising retreat away from the bustle - It was about a 10 minute water bus ride from Giudecca to Venice proper. It was lovely to go from the crowds to a lovely quiet area with the most amazing views of Venice. The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Having a washing machine on site was made the rest of our trip so much easier. Waking up in the morning and looking at the views from the apartment windows was wonderful. Lots of nice places to eat. We lived it and we recommend the place highly. There was nothing we didn’t like. Wondered if there was air conditioning because in early October you didn’t need it.

Мне не хотелось выходить оттуда, я могла пить кофе с открытым окном с великолепным видом за винтажным столом несколько часов. Мы были в квартире номер 45 и она была великолепна! Все что нужно для комфортного отдыха в ней было: отдельно хочу отметить великолепного качества полотенца и такую мелочь, как сушилка для белья (мы приехали после трека в горах и нам обязательно было нужно сделать стирку). В очень многих квартирах со стиральной машинкой просто негде сушить белье! Спасибо большое за то что позаботились о такой мелочи. Это очень важно!!!!!! Квартира очень красивая, с винтажной мебелью и великолепным видом на залив. 2 большие комнаты, широкая ванная комната. Находится она на острове куда можно попасть только на вапоретто, и на мой взгляд именно этот факт является важным впечатлением при посещении венеции. Просто купите заранее проездной на 24-72 часа,что мы и сделали. Сам остров, в отличие от очень туристической, громкой, утомляющей венеции- очень спокойный, было здорово возращаться вечером в тишину. Не зря через стену от гостиницы стоит Хилтон. Хочу сказать большон спасибо хосту, который сделал все чтобы наше пребывание было комфортным. Постоянно был на связи. Обьяснил как попадают в здание, прислал список рекомендованных ресторанов, предупредил что супермаркет закрывается в 20.30. Это мелочи- но из таких мелочей складывается впечатление. Нам безумно понравилось, мы провели великолепное время в квартире : от всей души советую вам остановиться здесь и почувствовать что такое настоящая венеция!- -

• Peterottawa (9/5): A great place to stay in Venice, away from the crowds. - We have stayed here before and will stay here again. This is a very nice apartment on the Giudecca, which we think is a great place to stay in Venice. With a Vaporetto Pass you have easy access to everything you want while avoiding the worst of the crowds and congestion of the main island. It is especially well suited for a longer stay -- we have always stayed for a week or more. It is comfortable, quiet, and well equipped. It has great views. The host(s) have always been very accessible and helpful. There are only 2 minor things preventing a 10/10 rating. The first is the kitchen. The small kitchen is fully equipped for cooking -- pots/pans/utensils etc -- but there are no supplies provided at all. Not even salt/pepper or oil/vinegar. We are used to buying our own food supplies, but I think there should be at least a small supply of the basic condiments. And we have become used to facilities like this having a coffee maker (Nespresso, Keurig etc), but there is only a kettle, so you need to buy/make instant coffee. The second is the WiFi. There is WiFi and it works OK, but the signal is quite weak and is overpowered by the networks of neighbouring units. So it can be hard to connect, and to maintain a strong connection. This is not a show-stopper, but is frustrating, especially over a longer stay. Still, these are more niggles than serious deficiencies -- we still really like this apartment, and as mentioned we have stayed here before and would happily stay here again.

• Jai (10/5): Great apartment, great value, great experience. - Beautifully furnished apartment with a great corner view. Courtyard on one side and a canal on the other. Easy access to two piers catch a waterbus and right next to the Hilton which had a rooftop bar with a 360 view. Our apartment manager was great. Had a problem with the washing machine and he sent someone to fix it right away. Not too to dislike. Not too many restaurants close by. You’ll need to catch a waterbus for more options.

As advertised, there was a lagoon view -- slightly distant, but otherwise there would have been noise from the boats. In the main well equipped. We had to wait to be met on arrival, though as requested we had phoned well in advance. We were promised a second set of keys, and information on how to use the microwave/oven, but never received these. Some maintenance needed, for example the bidet, and there were no wine glasses. Heating was not on in the apartment block, though it was October and we had a cold wet spell.

• Connie (6/5): I was absolutely overwhelmed on the beautiful location and grateful for the host making sure there was a plan to get me - It is Spacious. The host was proactive with regards to the boat strike. He had detailed instructions on how I needed to get to my location. The host always answered my calls & texts. The location. It’s a great neighborhood. The cracked toilet seat. The water turned off for 2 hours while I was soapy. The soap dried up on me. The air conditioner wasn’t working. The host said it was because it was not hot enough outside. Maybe not at ground level, but it was on the top floor. The soap it the bathroom. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t what the label said it was.

• Alex (5/5): Fabulous apartment in a great location but no air conditioning in 37 degree heat! - It is in a fantastic location for access to all of the lagoon and the main island, but allows you to escape the madness in the busy tourist spots. The apartment is large enough and decently equipped for your stay. The host is responsive and he has left one of the best information booklets in the apartment I have ever come across. The only problem was the lack of air conditioning. The host told us on our second morning that it was broken and building services were dealing with it. Despite asking later that same day if it had been fixed we didn’t get confirmation if it was. In fact it didn’t get repaired and even if it had the units were floor mounted heating and cooling units and not air conditioning units and so could not have cooled an apartment of this size anyway. As a result we didn’t sleep very well as it was too hot and we were forced to open several windows to create some draft and relief, which meant we were bitten to death by the local insects. They ate as well as we did. The advert for this property should be changed to remove air conditioning from the list of amenities as we would have not booked it had we known it was just cooling.
• Dariush (9/5): Good late June with good climate during my stay in good place. Perfect! - The place was well located and fairly spotless and clean. Alvise was so helpful and attentive through messages prior to our arrival and giving directions and checking in. Totally very pleasant stay. I will go back for more in future. Place was quiet and peaceful. A good view to canal and sea.

• Beebee (9/5): Great location for a Venice base - Lovely location in Guidecca looking across the canal to central Venice but a little quieter and more relaxed vibe to the area. Easy to get to Piazza San Marco and located within an easy walk of two vaporetto stations. We stayed in apartment 45 which is very light and spacious and located on the corner of the building. There is a good elevator in the building. Bed was comfortable and bathroom very nice, appreciated the magnifying mirror. Nearby are plenty of waterfront cafes and restaurants and a Coop supermarket. There is an excellent fruit shop by Palanca vaporetto station. Tip: if arriving by vaporetto with luggage go to Sacca Fisola as there is only one bridge to cross which has a ramp. If without luggage Palanca is also easy to walk to/from. Nothing really other than there is no separate dryer and the washing machine is a combo which does not dry well. A laundry drying rack is provided. The decor is a little dated and could do with a paint refresh but this does not affect comfort.

• Anne (8/5): Loved our stay on Guidecca, Apartment was great (apart from small niggles), - The ease of the location. The view from the living room. The building was clean, quiet. Had a lift. Nice shower. Just small niggles. Lack of glasses, prosecco glasses would be nice. Lack of cups/mugs. There were just 2 small tea cups (and 4espresso cups). I ended up buying some larger cups. Couldn't find a plug for the kitchen sink and no washing up bowl, so had to wash up under the running tap. The large cupboard in the bedroom was great, but just a small amount of old mismatched clothes hangers.(a large number of matching hangers is expected in a deluxe appartment). Coat hooks on the back of that door would have been handy. A shopping trolley would have been appreciated (had one in previous apartments, and it was very useful ). The Hilton was shut to visitors (booked out for private guests )during our stay,so we were unable to use the sky bar or restaurants, and we were told that the shuttle boat was for hotel guests only.

• Delboyza (8/5): Very good - No hassles collecting the keys - owner met up with us as we arrived - good communication. The owner insisted on charging the full tourist tax for one of our party even though that person had already paid the tax at a previous accommodation as she arrived earlier. The host was not willing to accept this and charged us the full rate regardless.

• Arno (8/5): Very good - When arriving by car, just one stop away by boat and a short walk. Very convenient. The nearby boat (line 2) brought us to all the main attractions on the main island and since from where we start you are one of the first onboard, so seating on the boat almost guaranteed. Simple kitchen with all we needed for breakfast and simple meal when we wanted to stay in. Nice bed, airconditioning. All documented in a map in the appartment where to find restaurants, supermarket, boat stops, etc. Very convenient. Older building, modernized internally. Pure personal. This was for our fourth visit to Venice during a vacation. The previous times we always stayed at one of the big main islands. This was the first time outside. Yes there is a very frequent boat to the main islands (every 10 minutes) it still created a barrier for us, an evening stroll through the town after dinner would first require a boar trip. So pure personal, next time we will pick a spot on one of the main islands again. (Do note Google Maps in any route directions indicated we should be able to walk over the water to the main islands... which obviously we cannot). We bought an anti mosquito device because when you want to have the windows open during the night.... a few of the buggers come in.

It has been tastefully renovated, creating an upbeat atmosphere that makes you feel at home. It's a relief to return to the serene tranquillity of Giudeca after a busy, tourist-filled day in Venice. The bathroom is spacious and beautiful with natural light shining through a Venetian glass window, bringing brightness and joy to your mornings. The owner and his assistant stayed in touch with us from the moment of booking until we entered the apartment. They provided instructions on how to get there and made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and convenient. We highly recommend this apartment!

The dining table worked reasonably well as a desk, but having an actual desk would have been nice. I was led to believe I would have more of a kitchen, though it managed to suffice.

• Monica (8/5): Go to Guidecca for peace & pasta - Beautiful quiet area in Guidecca with water views. Alvise met us and graciously showed us around the apartment, which was very clean and had everything on hand. Washer/Dryer, cooking equipment, some coffee, tea, staples provided/donated from previous visitors. Had toiletries, hair dryer & iron. Wonderful views from both rooms with big windows to allow the breezes in. Guidecca has a great choice of bars, awesome restaurants and well stocked mini markets. Some lovely galleries, art spaces, churches. We enjoyed our time, and we're grateful to have found this spot, away from the majority of tourists. Water buses are expensive - $25euro a day! Pillows need replacing, and there was no plug for kitchen sink and could not buy one anywhere 😄

We got a three day pass so it worked out fine and was also able to use it to go to Burano and Murano. The owner of the property did not receive quite a few of my messages prior to arriving.
