• Belinda (9/5): Great location, very clean - Close to the train station, Very clean, great communication and instructions. Mattresses for the floor could be a bit thicker or provide a few more so you can double up. Ok for kids but uncomfortable for adults.

• Мария (8/5): Хороший вид из окон - Довольно просторные апартаменты по меркам Японии. Чисто, все,что нужно есть. Больше всего понравилось расположение,рядом метро . Красивый вид из окна,есть где погулять рядом с домом. Самый большой минус-очень очень очень шумно по ночам,спать было плохо. В ноябре в номере холодно,от окон дует,всегда работали кондиционеры на отопление. Хотелось бы добавить халаты или пижамы и заменить полотенца на свежие.

Looks down on river and rose garden, also right next to train station, food, restaurants and convenience stores etc. Tatami mats/rolls for sleeping on floor were thin, especially compared to western standards for comfort. Even when putting a few on top of each other. Thicker rolls to sleep on would be so appreciated.

Outside the window (<10 min walk) is a city park that had rose gardens while we were there, which was fun for us to visit each day! The property itself is squeaky clean and very homey! The host was very responsive as well and the apartment had everything we needed.

• Leighton (9/5): Recommended - We settled on Aqua cite Kitahama mainly for location (we were keen to stay in a quieter area in Osaka with good transportation links) and secondly the size of the apartment. The apartment gave us everything we were looking. Value for money was also a highlight considering the size. Other highlights were the views and easy travel to Kyoto i.e you can get a local train from a station which can be accessed near the entrance to the apartment building. No major issues. However, the tv, lounge area and kitchen are all in the main bedroom so layout may not work for some groups.

• Salie (9/5): Will absolutely book this place next time we visit Osaka - Checkin was a breeze. Instructions were really clear and details including pictures. Decor was really lovely. The beds and pillows were ultra comfy. Location - not too far from the major tourist attractions. Loved the views of the beautiful garden and river running through Osaka. Loads of coffee shops around the building. Even made use of the hairdresser and shisha shop a few floors down.

• Yan (8/5): Unique apartment with good views and accessible to places of interests - Great interior decor, and great view of the river side from the tatami room. very peaceful area and quiet. the other bedroom was also pretty and comfortable to relax and cosy. Loved the neighbourhood and accessibility to family mart opposite and lots of food down the street 10min away. Lovely cafe downstairs too. the nearby subway line and keihan line were convenient for us to get to the places of interest eg osaka castle and dotonbori. Host gave clear instructions to read about the accoms, and gave complimentary tickets to dotonbori museum and cookies to welcome us! Everything was self check in and check out which was clearly written in two files with English and mandarin as well. There was also washing machine with dryer function which was convenient. Honestly it was a pretty nice place, and I would recommend for youngsters! but for my family of 3 (with 2 elderly and myself), we had stayed for 3 night and perhaps it wasn’t too appropriate. The design of the place was a bit peculiar e.g. there was no clear marking for the platform at the washing machine area, and posed a safety hazard. Being unfamiliar, I had tripped after just coming out of shower and forgotten about the platform that was not very visible. The lamp at the tv and sofa area was too low and right above the table and we frequently bumped into it. Do also note that the shower area in the bathroom was very small so clothes hanging on the railing could get wet easily. we were also not used to the Japanese bath style (sitting down) and thought the shower head was kept too low which was not very user friendly for foreigners. There was no dining area per se, other than the small tables beside the window and at the sofa area. Felt too small for 3 pax. As we were worried to dirty the tatami mat, we ate very cautiously. Apartment wise, be prepared for a woody smell upon entering, as though nobody was here to air it before we arrived. There didn’t seem to be windows for us to open so we could only rely on the aircon functions. one other weird thing was.. host was quite responsive before we arrived and helped inform us that we needed to receive our own luggage delivery but was quite slow in offering assistance when we arrived and needed help fixing the bidet. We were also out for the whole day and could only reply with pictures much later.

• Lit (8/5): The apartment was one of the highlights of our trip. My family thoroughly enjoyed our 12-night stay in the apartment and - The location is fantastic! It’s right next to the river and the view from the tatami bedroom is amazing! It is a short walk to the stations on two Metro lines (Midosuji and Sakaisuji) which cover the main shopping districts in Namba/Dotonbori and Umeda, and to the train station on the Keihan Line that goes to Downtown Kyoto. There is a convenient store just across the road and eateries within walking distance. The apartment is nicely set up with a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, an induction stove, a microwave oven, crockery and utensils, and even a rice cooker! It also has a washer cum dryer and the owner has thoughtfully provided laundry detergent. The front bedroom with beds did not have blackout curtains/blinds.

• Amber (10/5): Perfect for big family! - The beds were very comfortable, it was nice to have dishes and bathroom toiletries readily available to us. It’s hard to find places to accommodate American families without paying a lot, this apartment was perfect for our family of 5, and it can sleep up to 7! I will definitely recommend this place to friends in the future. The washer and dryer was hard to figure out but I eventually did figure it out, just took longer then expected.
