- Jeffrey (8/5): - Fijne, schone kamer.
- 正夫 (5/5): - The room was spacious and the televesion was big. I was surprised that the room I was assigned to was right beside the door entrance. The area around the building was kind of convenient like there was a convenience store nearby and subway station. I was kind of upset when I check in at 4pm, the staff was still there cleaning. Its supposed to be like the room should be ready before the check-in time. I had to check-in early because I had a concert to attend to. Also, throughout my stay, it was kind of noisy above which is the 2nd floor, they keep making noises and that's a reason why I could not sleep. Also, I think it was during 4pm? When someone tried to enter my room but my door was locked, I got scared. That is why I'm not so satisfied with this hotel, I feel that this place is not safe.
- wahyunul hayat (10/5): - Very comfortable and very quiet. None
- naomi (2/5): もう利用したくないです。 - 部屋がきれい 階段の電気が壊れて真っ暗だった。
5階の客が夜中の3時まで騒いでいた。
車の通りが激しく騒音が気になった。
- Jodi (7/5): Pleasant - It was clean and comfortable. Provided everything we needed. Easy check-in service. In terms of location, if you're wanting to do activities closer to central Tokyo, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're fine with a minimum of 40-60 minute commutes each day. Taxis also take long because of traffic lights and traffic. The area was a bit too out of the way for our liking.

- Sevde (8/5): Fiyat performans, memnun kaldık. - Konumu ve olanakları çok iyiydi. İki tane metro hattına ve tüm büyük marketlere 3 dakika uzaklıktaydı. Merkeze ulaşımı kolaydı, yerleşim yerinde güvenli hissettirdi. Self check in kolaydı ve oda temizdi.

- Diati (8/5): Very good -
- Ronielle (8/5): Overall good stay for family - Near station, lots of near convenience stores. Nearby restaurants. Smooth check in and check out. The elevator for luggages is not working. It would be better if they had if fixed
- Hang (8/5): Nice stay - Good location, not too far away from the centre. Close to subway station, 711, Lawson, & Family Mart. There was no lift, so it was difficult to move heavy luggage upstairs.
- Christopher (6/5): Pleasant - The room was extremely small, including the bathroom. The location is ok
- Erisa (2/5): Disappointing experience - Dirty and stinky pillows & bed sets - The customer service was good as they tend to reply to messages fast. Also instructions to check in were very clear. We booked this room for 2 nights as a family. The location was not ideal as it is quite far from center but that was okay. Problematic part was the noise from the outside as the windows are not sound proof, and you can hear people and cars nonstop. Another problem were the stairs, as it was really hard to get the luggages upstairs in super narrow stairs - luggage escalator didn’t work.
The major problem was the stinky sweat smell once we entered the room. It was very obvious that bed sheets were super dirty and not changed from previous customers. The owner kindly sent some bed sheets for second night stay but after changing the sheets, we noticed that the smell was coming from pillows themselves. See the photos attached of how dirty they were. Full of sweat stains and extremely stinky (cannot even describe how bad the smell was - pretty much like a stinky gym or something like that). Even the mattresses must have been as dirty as pillows but we added new bed sheets on top of those, simply because we didn’t want to traumatize ourselves more. It was disgusting and horrible to sleep there but we couldn’t find any other hotel so last minute. So we were forced to stay there unfortunately.
We spent 2 weeks in Japan where everything was superrrr clean, and this experience here was simply disappointing and ruined the end of our trip. Never booking it again!
- Brooke (8/5): Very good -
- Amarantalila (9/5): Superb -
- Jasgin (8/5): It was worth the price and me and and my family enjoyed our stay there. - High Five Guest House was close to a train station which made it convenient to go around places. It was also close to a FamilyMart and McDonalds which was convenient if we wanted food. There were no cutleries.
- Larry (8/5): good - bog bed narrow stairs
- Muhamad (7/5): Good - The room is clean and comfortable with sufficient facility. Its quite small but enough. I dont know which room are mine, so I need to try every room's key box using the given code until I found it right, and it turns out that my room is at 5th floor. I think it would be very helpful if the room number is also informed, not only the keybox code.
- Sharmaine (1/5): 😣😣😣😣 - Location No elevator! TV is old. Room was small. Not for family. The Shower heater is sometime broken. Outside noise is too loud.
- Miriam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nina (2/5): I’m so disappointed on the hotel because there is no elevator even for the luggages. - The location is near to the subway. It is easy to locate. The property was a 5-storey building yet there is no elevator or lift for the luggages. Imagining how heavy your luggages is, yet you need to bring it up and down on the stairs. Our room was located at the 5th floor. :(
- Dominika (5/5): Passable - Good location Right above a busy street so light sleepers will suffer. The space for four people is just as on the photos, tiny, don't recommend for long stays.
There is only one blanket for the double bed, btw, so be ready to play tug of war at night.
A genius from a different floor clicked the red fire alarm button and we were stuck pausing a shrieking alarm instead of going to sleep until they got the owner to reset the system. Should have put a plastic lid over the damn thing if you ask me.
- Shaochen (7/5): Good -
- Xin (5/5): The price is reasonable, location quite nice, the lift that need to put in the luggage to our room is out of service so - Cheap The room was too small for 4 person, it is very difficult to put the luggage
- Lizbeth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lillian (8/5): It was good but I prefer actual hotel I think. - Close to a subway station, but not a JR station. Was given a ground floor room, didn’t have to lug my suitcase up and down the stairs. Bed was big. Toilet, bathroom and sink are in separate locations. It’s fine if you’re solo or married couple but might be awkward as friends. I don’t like changing in a wet shower stall so a privacy curtain between the shower and toilet would be good to have.
Room is a renovated garage. You can hear all the noises. Ear plugs are provided but I didn’t want to risk not hearing my alarm.
Bare necessities provided. I wish there was amenity hairbrush.
- Lily (8/5): It's a nice place to stay on for our Japan trip. - We love our stay in the High Five Guest House. The property is very near the Train station. It is effortless to travel from one place to another. The property is very near the supermarket as well as convenience stores where at times before going to the property after a day's walk, we can grab food nearby convenience stores. The property is clean and spotless. I would recommend the place to our friends too. The room is quite small for four adults. My son's head bumped the overhead cabinet for many times. I wish you can put a corner rubber to that hanged cabinet. The TV is fine but no English channel, but it's fine.
How I wish there are some kitchen utensils ( we already expected there's none) and extra towels for we stayed a week. Overall. the property is great and recommendable.
- Nomvelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Kashyap (6/5): Ideal for single person but would not recommend for family. - Location was close to restaurants and public transport. The bathroom had a bad smell not sure why. Very small room. No instructions were given regarding there will be no lift and only a luggage lift.
- Maria (5/5): Passable - It was actually quite quiet Super small and not really cozy.
- Jorika (10/5): We had a great stay at this little hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful - Lovely, great value for money accomodation, close to the train station and two convenience stores just down the road. Two double beds per room, all the little extras like shower gel etc. Felt safe. all good
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - Close to train, tram and food options. Lots of stairs, hard to get into with no staff and codes.
- Mammad (9/5): Superb -
- Jimmy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Roko (7/5): Good -
- Mohammad (2/5): I don’t recommend for overseas travellers with luggage. - I don’t recommend this place, especially for those who have suitcases and luggage.
There is no staff to help, and the building has NO elevator !!! It’s clean and the room space is ok, and near from the subway station.
- Yu (10/5): Exceptional - Nice spot with some convenient store around. With this price, this place probably is the best place you can find.
- Shina (9/5): Superb - the location was excellent. the room was small but very comfortable and was a great bargain for the price. the neighbourhood is quiet but there are lots of shops and restaurants in the street parallel the hotel. nothing
- A.baylis (8/5): Great value - Clean. Comfortable. Great shower.
Close to a metro, tram, and trains.
Local restaurants and grocery stores.
It is very well priced for Tokyo and a family of 4.
Umbrellas available.
Free laundry facilities on the roof. Noise from the traffic. We were on the 3rd floor, so you hear it, but not as much as the 1st floor. Airplugs are provided.
No cutlery or plates, but you do have a kettle and microwave.
- Priscilla (7/5): Good - Need to walk up the narrow stairs with luggages
.
- William (8/5): Very good - Clean, spacious, close to bus stop and tourist hot spot No lift. Stairs too narrow
- Mylene (7/5): Good -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cesar (3/5): The experience was more memorable in a not so good way. - Cleanliness. Room size. Location. Amenities (except for the TV). The most challenging for us was that we were booked on the 5th floor. We are both senior citizens, they knew that (we were asked to send our passports where our photos and ages are indicated), we brought with us about 40 kgs of luggages, and THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR. They did not commit in the details that there was, but we would have at least been prepared for that, or at least have been given the consideration to be booked at a lower floor, or have been informed before the card was charged.
After the long, hard climb we had difficulty entering the room because the door of the keybox was stuck. Since it was a no-staff guest house there was no one to ask help from. So we had to wait over exchanges of booking.com messages, photo, and video until we were told that we had to pry open the cover - our top of mind solution that we didn’t do, avoiding risk of damaging anything. We had to unpack at that (really) tight landing and bring out a tool. It would have been less stressful if that issue was included in the instructions.
The building is along the main road, so while they have provided foam earplugs (who wants to sleep with earplugs?) road noise still woke us up at nights.
The television (Rm501) was not an internet TV, and only with local channels.
The host was very apologetic for all our challenges, but we all know what apologies can do. We hope these bring improvements.
- Robert (3/5): Noicy place - Clean place. Extremely noicy road outside the window. Hard to sleep. No place to store a bag if you have a late flight. No one to contact and rather poor place for the money spent. Tokyo has much better places.
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Muhammad (9/5): Superb -
- Abegail (5/5): Passable -
- Dany (10/5): peacefully & confy - it's less then 5 minutes walk to the nearest station
super convenient
perfect to have microwave inside the room, and a hanging tool for towels! just that the room's towels were little bit smelly, anything else just fine, and didn't realize there was no elevator.
- Amelijah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mateohg93 (9/5): Superb - Clean, good price, close to metro, tech toilet
- Linda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kunal (9/5): Superb -
- Monther (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monther (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayden (7/5): Good -
- Rodela (5/5): Passable - The bed and toilet is clean and comfortable. Other than the fact that it does not have an elevator, their luggage lift is not in service. So we have to risk ourselves to danger by bringing our luggages through their steep and narrow staircase.
- Maria (10/5): love it - so clean and all tye amenities needed are all been provided nothing actually
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable beds, located nearby transport : metro, tramway...Reception not in the hotel but easily reachable by mail. Ear plugs provided. Very noisy night and day due to the 4x2 road. The shower cabin has no private space to dress/undress. Small room, limited space for the luggage. No luggage storage service. Elevator for luggage out of service (but very noisy when other guests try to use it at 1am...)
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The beds were super comfortable and the room felt really modern and clean. It had a reasonable amount of space for a room in Tokyo. There was quite a lot of traffic noise but the hosts supplied ear plugs for sleeping so we were able to sleep just fine
- Felicialai (7/5): Good -
- Dinah (4/5): Disappointing - The luggage lift was not working. The room was too small for 4 people with luggages.
- Muhamad (9/5): Recomended - Location near the train station, easy to locate the hotel, cleanliness, not to far from city, room comfortable for 4 pax full trash in the dustbin don't now where and how to clear it
- Daryl24 (10/5): Exceptional - Check in and out process were so easy! They respond timely even when there is no recep. The luggage lift is a big plus to move around our things. Very near to all types of transpo. None
- Rayearth2176 (8/5): A Short Wonderful Vacay - I received all the codes from the main door to the key box outside the door via email the day before we travel to Japan. We found the Guest House straight away, after we exit the Metro stn. The room is just right & the 2 double beds are just perfect for a family of 4 adults. Room is very clean, with high tech bathroom & separate shower room. It has kettle, microwave & TV. Guest house is just a few meters to metro stn (Nishi-Sugamo), McDo/Ramen House/resto/café & family marts. Lift is only for baggage.
No cabinet for clothes, only 2 top racks.
Too noisy outside, especially in the evening. Guest house provided ear muffs (along with the tooth brush & tooth paste).
No tea spoon, even after I requested in advance.
