- Mariyam (10/5): - Loved the traditional but comfortable feel of the house. The location was great, quiet street really close to the main hustle and bustle of Asakusa. Close to two train stations and 7-Eleven. We loved our stay!
- Tien (9/5): We loved it even there was a little noise from street and light. Walking more than 8miles per day, we were able to go be - It’s at very good location with convenient stores close by. Fridge has smell, floor made noise in kitchen area, noise & light from the street.
- Joachim (8/5): -

- Shoji (7/5): You can leach most of Asakusa sight seeing spots by walk . - Good location One of toilet room is too small and staircase is too steep
- Don Dinushi Shamalka (8/5): Overall, we liked our stay and was happy - The house was lovely and clean. Easy access to the station. The stairs were small and harder to climb for our parents. One washroom was very small but we expected that before coming in.

- Mariam (7/5): - La ubicación Muy diminuto todo
- Carlos (10/5): Cómo vivían hace +1000 años - Muy buena casa y tradicional como decía, realmente me sentí acogido. Buena ducha, buenas literas y buen comedor, todo perfecto

- Ferina (8/5): -
- Marcellino (8/5): - Great location, good communication, traditional Japanese-style, have washing machine and dryer, 4 sets of bunk beds Steep stairs, small toilet (can't use 1 of the toilet due to the size)

- Mary (10/5): Worked perfectly for our 3-generation family- nice setup and enough space to relax together for meals, - Convenient location, clean and comfortable The stairs to the second floor(bedrooms) are quite steep. We had kids with us, but it wasn’t a problem
- Cape (10/5): -
- Kristy (6/5): Wonderful location, but not great for tall guests - Location is wonderful. Very close to Asakusa and a great 7-11. Great views of the skytree from the street. Lack of insulation- was very cold in the main entrance area always and when heat pumps weren’t on - 7 degrees inside in the morning! Low beams in doorways - if you are taller than 172cm beware you may hit your head a lot. Very steep staircases up to bedrooms. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink.
- Miki Pi (10/5): -
- Kimberly (8/5): It’s a lovely place to stay. - The location of this property is ideal. It is in a quiet neighborhood, just steps away from 7-11. A few minutes walk from Sen so ji temple, Sky Tree and the Sumida river.
There is a Yamato transport service a few blocks away. The stairs are pretty steep.
- Natasha (10/5): 10/10 - The location is convenient as it’s close to everything. The host was very kind and the home was beautiful and breathtaking I love the authenticity No complaints
- anthony (8/5): - Great location, clean, plenty of room Could have had more bedding available for the colder nights

- Leena (9/5): - The location is absolutely amazing, easy to walk to many attractions and shops. The property was very traditional Japanese style, just as advertised and it was a great experience to live in such a house. It was also very clean and fresh smelling. Highly recommend
- Markus (10/5): - cozy, simple, arrive anytime, enter with pin, very well equipped, cook, wash laundry, etc.
- Xiande (10/5): -
- Selena Xueou (7/5): Bunk beds only, otherwise a cool place - An old house upgraded for modern living. Great if you are an Edogawa Ranpo fan, it's got that kinda vibes (my kids were running up and down the stairs screeching in excitement "it's a haunted house!!!"). The place is pretty big by Tokyo standards with sufficient appliances for basic needs Very odd choice to put in bunk beds to accommodate 8 people and no double beds at all in a character house like this. The host also placed a large antique floor dresser mirror directly facing the bed with an additional mirror in the drawer in the tight walkway. Unsure if it's just ignorance or intended "haunted house" effect
- Caroline (7/5): - We loved the convenience of the location and how close it was to the subway station. There are two 7-11's very close by. The host was very communicative and super helpful and willing to assist in any way! The washer and dryers worked well. It was convenient to have 8 beds, even though only 6 had linens/bedsheets on them (for our party of 6). The toilet rooms smelled a little bad. Also house slippers weren't provided.
- Tess (9/5): -
- Alexandru (9/5): Very good. - Good position. Clean Small (only compared to european dimensions)
- Rahath (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Great locatio next to Asakusa. Comfortable stay Nothing!
- Andrew (9/5): Great Tokyo hub in Asakusa - Konoho house offered great value to me and my group for exploring Tokyo and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the aesthetic of the home. We were pleasantly surprised to see two separate rooms with four bunk beds each (eight total) as the photos made it appear to be just four. Overall, very clean and the host was speedy to reply when we messaged about the door code not working. Bathrooms felt a bit cramped for taller people in the group and we were provided a slightly typo'd version of the door code but the host responded almost immediately upon being contacted.
- Dorothy (9/5): Beautiful character home in a great location. - This property is in an excellent location. Quiet, and walkable to the many things that Asakusa has to offer. The place has tons of character and charm, and we felt right at home. The stairs up to the sleeping space are steep, so watch your step!
- Sergio (8/5): Very good - Staff were amazing and really attentive, beds were comfortable, really calm. It was too small for tall people
- Megan (10/5): Favourite accomodation in Japan. - This quaint Japanese style was our favourite place to stay in Tokyo. Very well located for public transport and attractions. Great for a family of 7. Warm and comfortable. The dryer was quite small. But otherwise no problems. It was a great option.
- Michael (9/5): Near transport and local sights, something different, traditional that offers space, albeit compact! - Traditional and older style of the place - something different. It was compact but offered different zones, 2 toilets and a modern compact bath/ shower room. Staircases (there are 2!) are very steep and there are some low beams to watch your head on but that's alway what makes it interesting! Not a complaint, but some hooks to hang jackets where you place your shoes would be useful.
- Suzanne (9/5): Great location and enough room for 6 adults - The location was great with convenience store and cafe very close. It was also very close to temple, markets and restaurants The ceilings were low and stairs steep
- Elizabeth (7/5): We really liked the place and the property itself but please put hot water. Thank you - It is very accessible to Asakusa, Kaminarimon and a good view of Tokyo Skytree The property is undeniably clean but when we open the bathroom although it was very clean, the smell of the bleach was really troublesome. The door should be left open after cleaning it so it wouldn’t have a bad odor. Also, please put heater at the kitchen sink. The cold running water, really made our hands so painful.
- Khuong (9/5): Great location, good hosts. Would recommend. - Location was excellent. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Melinda (8/5): Very good - Great location and value for money.
- Ker (9/5): Interesting Japanese house experience. - It’s a cozy Japanese house, ideal for family. The place is clean and it’s self sufficient. It is within walking distance from asakusa area and Tokyo skytree. The stairs can be considered pretty steep. May not be suitable for old folks or very young children.
- Theodora (7/5): Stay at Konoha - It was a typical old school japanese house. The location of the house was good, giving facile access to metro station & shops Unfortunately it was very, very cold in the house and even if we put all the heaters on on maximum power, it was still cold. All of us got sick afterwards.
There was only warm water in the shower, no warm water while using the sink.
If you are tall, then it will be a bit hard for you because the ceiling is very low. 160 cm people will be fine.
The house had 2 bathrooms, but the second one was so small, just people under 150 cm could use it properly.
The light in the house was not that good.
- Nanthipat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - Great lodging 10 min walk to Asakusa district and subway station. The house is quite big for Japan standards so it was perfect for our group of 6. There is a bakery and konbini 3 min walk. The house is on a small street so not very noisy at night. Overall great experience and will definitely stay again my next time in Tokyo.
- Nanthipat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - The interior was very lovely and the Tanami mats in the living room were comfortable to lounge on. The location was nearby to many convenience stores as well as a station making it convenient when travelling. The rooms were very comfortable and had enough room. The kitchen and bathroom were both well sized and easy to use. Overall it was a comfortable and wonderful stay. There was a crack in one of the steps which made you feel like it was going to break, but other than that everything was great.
- Norhaszjana (10/5): Exceptional - Konoha House was the perfect base for our Tokyo adventure! 🌆 Located close to many top tourist attractions, it gave us easy access to explore the city. The view was amazing, especially with Tokyo Skytree in the background! 🤩
The property is also conveniently near train stations, which made getting around super easy. Plus, there’s a 7-Eleven nearby for any quick snacks or essentials we needed. The house itself is well-equipped with all the basics, making it feel comfortable and hassle-free. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tokyo!
- Kimmie (7/5): Good - Location good . Steep stairs to double decker bed, small for big group to stay
- Achu (9/5): First time in Tokyo, and everything we expected and more..... - the house had a very historical feel. authentic and cool vibes the garden at the back was overgrown and unkempt. suggest doing it up as a Japanese garden with some trees, shrubs and pebbles. seating area or benches too.
it'll be perfect
- Everly (9/5): good location and very clean - Very nice presentation
- Chris (10/5): Great place and great valued. - Traditional Japanese, very good equip for snack and simple meal, close to many activities and stations.
- James (10/5): Charming traditional house - If you're looking to stay in a typical old traditional home, this place is great. It is not sleek but has plenty of charm. The location was quiet and close to Asakusa station. The area had many sites and restaurants. For some travelers, the bunk beds may be undesirable.
- Amedeo (10/5): Exceptional - Centrally located in Asakusa. Nice property
- Joseph (9/5): Great Value Location - Great location and amazing value, very authentic feel. A bit small, especially for anyone exceeding 180cm. Only 2 mirrors and 1 shower so can be a bit difficult for a large group to prepare in mornings.
- Adrian (7/5): Good -
- Joeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good - Close to Asakusa. Clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable even though they are bunks.
- Martin (9/5): Asakusa - Location is perfect for subway. Close to major attractions. Cute aesthetic. Nil
- Hui (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (10/5): Great budget house accommodation for an authentic Japan experience. - This was a very well priced house in Tokyo. and very close to Skytree and Asakusa. Perfect for a family accommodation. It was an old house but clean and had everything we needed. Thoughtful touches with a heater in bathing area and lights for each bunk bed. We had breakfast from 7-11 most days. We would stay here again. Manager let us leave bags an hour early prior to check in. The bed blanket and doonas are VERY warm. beds are comfortable. And was able to do all my laundry before flying out. Thank you! Not suitable for elderly or babies due to stairs to bedrooms but no problem mobile adults and children above 5.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Atmospheric and in a great location - So atmospheric! A little piece of old Tokyo. We loved all the thoughtful additions and the location was great. Really close to a great bakery and the subway as well as major attractions. Nothing! It was great.
- Marina (8/5): Convenient and charming house in a great location - Great location and value for money! Very charming, traditional Japanese home with very comfortable beds. Many amenities provided (e.g. good wifi, hair drier, microwave, etc) which were convenient. Located very close to Asakusa station, which made it easy to navigate our way around Tokyo. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby! Be aware that the kitchen is very small and has no stove, so it’s difficult to do any cooking. Also, we had some concerns with electricity: electrical outlets would often make a “hissing” noise when plugged in, and the walls would occasionally make a “banging” sound.
- Merry (10/5): Exceptional - everything :) Nothing.
- Natalya (10/5): Wonderful experience - Wonderful style. Everything in the house is very well thought through. Great location. Very helpful host.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable place with plenty of beds. Excellent location for sightseeing. Short walk to Asakusa and shorter walk to train stations to get you anywhere in Tokyo. The stairs will be a challenge for many. A lot of old Japanese houses have very steep stairs. Come down them backwards like they're a ladder.
- Julia (9/5): Enjoyed our stay as a family, very comfortable and convenient location - Super convenient location, close to train station and walking distance to Asakusa attractions like Sky tree and Sensoji. Comfortable stay for a week and had all the facilities we needed- wifi and good heating with aircon. Steep stairs to access beds upstairs, not really an issue- just take care going up
- Wachiraya (7/5): Good -
- Kim (10/5): My boys and I had a wonderful time in the cozy home - Traditional style home I’m used to locks and tight security, I know the crime rate is low to none but I felt that the locks on the windows/balcony could have been a little more securer
- Ako (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - So very close to Toyko Skytree and Asakusa. Plenty of sights to walk about and yummy good and cheap food ard. Everything is within walking distance. Don Quijote is only a 20min leisure walk.
The experience of living in a traditional guest house was a cultural eye opener for the kids, esp the steep stairway to the room, the tatami mats and low tables was truly an experience in a cosmopolitan city like Toyko at exceptional value.
Owner was also very thoughtful to have USB ports attached to each bunk bed. Made it very easy and convenient to charge our phones. Because the house is all wood, there is a musty smell given windows were closed when we arrive. Opening the windows to allow fresh air in helped.
- Minsheng (10/5): Exceptional - location
- Jasper (10/5): The boss is very enthusiastic to help us find the lost wallet and is willing to take the time to meet with us. I am real - The most authentic Shitamachi residence, the day of the stay seems to became the Asakusa people None
- Irene (10/5): Excellent - Everything was provided, it’s very attentive from the manager, the location was so convenience to reach, it within walking distance to 2 subway and its a direct train to Haneda airport. Highly recommended. None
- Annelies (8/5): Convenient location for Askusa area and Sumidagawa in an authentich Japanse style house - A really nice experience in a typical Japanese style house near Askusa. The bathroon is very modern and handy. Communication with the owner went very smoothly. We loved "vibing" in the living room. The house is so authentic. I would go there again! The kitchen and utensils in the kitchen were basic, not really for cooking a dinner.
- Quan (8/5): Very good -
- Mitchell (10/5): Great traditional, comfortable, property. Will be a memorable stay for any westerner. - Great location, adorable, quaint, old house.
English instructions and labels throughout the house, 8 beds split into two rooms. Traditional style with modern comfort! Low-mobility guests may find the stairs steep and bathrooms tight but it was great for us!
- Meliton (10/5): Exceptional - Situated perfectly, the entire property is a nobrainer!
I highly recommend!
- Cheryl (8/5): Nice place - GREAT location - close to SkyTree, Senso-ji, the sumo wrestling stadium, subway station and lots of shops and restaurants. Loved the Old World charm with the decor and low table and tatumi mats. Plus it has a great shower and two toilets which is nice for a group. This property is in the old part of Tokyo so I get it that there might be pests and they can be impossible to get rid of. You have to be very very careful with all food, coffee creamer or even soap that smells like lemon. A mouse came on our second night there and chewed on the soap and even upopened bags of chips. It was very minor and the owner does warn you several times.
- Liam (10/5): A great little home with everything you need. - We were highly impressed by Konoha House a great little home with everything you need. our family of 5 were very comfortable and loved our stay here. the location is great so convenient.
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional - Loved staying in a typical japanese guest house. It was beautifully appointed with authentic furniture and decorations. The location was perfect, close to 2 stations and attractions.
- Danny (10/5): Exceptional - I liked the location and the Japanese style of the house. My favourite part is the dining room. It's a very good option for groups of up to 8 people
- Misty (10/5): loved staying here! - the location and ease of checking in N/A
(9/5): Superb - Perfect location Rat
- Regina (9/5): Superb -
