Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): The perfect Amsterdam experience - Wow, what a magical experience. I have visited Amsterdam several times in several types of accommodation, this was by far my favourite experience, there is no better way to do Amsterdam than on a boat like this. Perfectly located, incredible beautiful views of the city, just perfect in every way. Thank you so much 👌
The facilities were also perfect, the boat had a better shower than we have at home, water pressure, temperature, toilet flush, nothing disappoints There's nothing I didn't like, it is a boat, access is slightly awkward for crossing another boat and ladders in to the cabin but to anybody fit and able, it just adds to the magic.
- Simon (9/5): - Great central location to explore the city and the accommodation had real character and everything we needed. Very comfy beds. Lots of helpful information provided by the accommodation owner. The living space and kitchen were smaller than I expected from the photos, and quite cosy. Fine for our group but a family with energetic kids, say, might find it a bit tight.
- Steven (10/5): - Clean, location is brilliant

- Jasmin (9/5): - Super-tolles Erlebnis, mitten in Amsterdam aufwachen😊
- Ruth (8/5): Wonderful place to stay - would recommend - The views from the wheelhouse were really spectacular and the central location was so convenient. The boat was a great base for our trip. Just some tiny tweaks- no wine glasses, or bowls, the corkscrew is broken, the pillows are quite worn out. On the whole, very little to improve.
You should note there are two double beds and not as described on the listing.
- Callum (10/5): Amazing boat with a beautiful view on the deck. Great location and value for money. - Amazing boat with a beautiful view on the deck. Great location and value for money.
- FEDERICO (10/5): La experiencia de vivir en una casa barco - La experiencia de vivir en una casa barco fue increible Si bien no tiene la comodidad de un apartamento, no es comparable la experiencia.

- Daisy Flatman (8/5): -
- Devon (10/5): - A very unique and special stay. 10/10 to be at that location on a boat.
- Susanne (10/5): - Super Lage und die Ausstattung war gut
- Ursula (7/5): - Kontakt mit Gastgeberin war sehr gut! Die Lage perfekt.
- Lydia (9/5): - L’emplacement et le type d’hébergement
- Karin (9/5): - Świetna lokalizacja, latwo znaleźć i dojechać, blisko stacji metra. Udalo nam się zostawić wcześniej bagaże i pójść zwiedzać miasto.
Duży plus, że bylo wlączone ogrzewanie. Powietrze pod pokładem. Duszno.

- tara (8/5): Cool place to stay I would stay there again! - Awesome location, near Metro station, awesome views at night, and a really cool place to stay Towels could use some updating, getting on the boat and getting luggage into boat was quite difficult if you have mobility problems.
- Kristin (10/5): Amazing location and fun experience, worth it! - The location is worth every penny! It was so fun to be on the water and it is easy to get anywhere in the city from the boat! The beds are small and not the most comfortable, but it’s worth it for the experience!
- Gilles (10/5): -
- Mackenzie (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay in an amazing having location. Very good information, directions and recommendations
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (3/5): letdown - the location was incredible. there was black mold all over . I have photos. the air conditioner wasn't working, it was 85 on the boat. they knew it was broken when I contacted them. the shower pan wouldn't drain, I was left standing in 2 inches of water. I would have to stop the water and let the pan drain to finish my shower.
- Jana (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, good value for money, great communication with owner, exciting experience Really tiny :)
- Phil (8/5): Nice cozy place in an excellent, beautiful location. - Location is excellent and so was our host. It's a cozy little place with character. It was just a little awkward for my friend who isn't too good on his feet.
- Jacob (10/5): Perhaps the very best place to stay in Amsterdam - This place has a view that is absolutely astounding. Central location, with easy access to anything you could desire. Beds and bedding were nice. The view alone is worth the price. Great, clear instructions on how to get in. The metro is steps away. No real comfortable seating in the boat. But you’ll be exploring most of the time that you are awake anyway. Beds are great.
- Becky (10/5): Amazing - Judith sent us all the details the day before the stay. We really loved the location, it was absolutely perfect and sitting upstairs in the boat in the evening was amazing, watching the boats and people go by. It was warm, cozy, clean and we could not have asked for a better stay. We loved everything
- Deborah (10/5): Very cosy comfortable stay loved by very minute. - Close to everything but not to near. Beautiful views and people so friendly. .
- Alexa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renae (8/5): Awesome Location. Better for Young Couple Than A Family. - Awesome location. Great choice to experience something different.
Kitchen facilities & good selection of crockery/utensils/cutlery/cooking pots. No light in the upstairs entry which made coming & going at night very difficult.
No real storage instead 4 big cardboard display models took up valuable suitcase placing options.
Pictures on the walls made the whole place feel even smaller than it is.
- Steven (10/5): 2nd time staying here, great location, clean, comfortable responsive host if any issues. -
- Dan (9/5): Nice quirky stay - Excellent location
- John (8/5): Perfect for Amsterdam - The location.
Communication from the owner.
The fact it is a boat!
The lounge area in the evening is quality. Nothing really but no dust pan and brush was a shame as one of our party dropped lots of crumbs so was difficult to clean up
- Rebecca (9/5): Something different but highly reccomend - Excellent host who provided lots of information.
Location was excellent could walk to central station in 20min or you can use public transport.
Well equipped kitchen area. Staying on a boat was a new experience, found the ladder down difficult at first but soon adapted.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - We liked everything about the boat, heating upstairs would have been an advantage. Nothing, we liked the whole experience
- Chris (8/5): Brilliant experience and location - plus great value for money - Location was excellent. Communication with host was 1st class. The experince was great too. It was very easy to find and get in etc The ladders down into the actual living area was awkward and definitely not for less able bodied people. When looking at the boat I thought we had the whole boat, but it's been converted I think into 2 properties in half. Never the less , clean, comfy and brilliant experience
- Gregory (8/5): Very good - Beds were comfy. Hard seating
- Rebecca (8/5): fab location and super warm even though cold outside - location of this property is fab. owner is also fab and very informative unfortunately we got hardly any sleep as the neighbours you share the boat with are so loud. Saturday night they played music until 2am and then Sunday morning we were woken up at 4am with the loudest continuous banging. not the owners fault but no great when travelling with a 5yr old
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Great location and views - a perfect base to explore the city. - Very unique place to stay. I loved being on the river and watching everyone pass by. It felt that I was one of the locals!
- Karen (10/5): Amazing - Location was perfect so close to restaurants, activities and shops Little to dislike, I slept in the front of the boat, I recommend an eye mask as daylight woke me a little earlier than I like.
- Beverly (8/5): Very good - The location and view. Uncomfortable seating in upper cabin where the best viewing area was.
- Malinka (10/5): Amazing!!! - Perfect place !
Downtown Amsterdam!
Stunning view all around, spacious apartments, perfect cleanliness, silence, excellent 2 bedrooms, new shower and toilet, the kitchen has everything you need, the terrace is an amazing place for rest and relaxation, special thanks to the owner of the boat Judit, she gives all the necessary information when check-ion the boat, she gives information on attractions, shops near the hotel - super care and attention to the hotel visitors - thank you so much, Judit, for your such pleasant special attention!!!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your hotel, it was really cool!!! -
- Kylee (7/5): Good - Great location and helpful host
- Kristy (9/5): A unique experience and happy memory - Great location -- close to many restaurants, cafes, and attractions, and very scenic being right on the canal. The boat was exactly as advertised and we found the bedding clean and comfortable, and bathroom very nice. It's close quarters of course but you probably wouldn't be spending your daylight hours sitting around, right? It would have been wonderful to spend more time on the lovely terrace outside, but alas, the weather did not fully cooperate. Judith provided very extensive information to locate the boat and get in. The photo is a view from the boat. We had heard sound travels from the other portion of the boat. It certainly does, but I always use my white noise app, and slept pretty well. Ascend and descend the ladder into the living quarters slowly and carefully, and you're good.
- Aimee (10/5): Unique way to spend the night in A'dam - Excellent instructions and tips were provided by the host. We absolutely loved the location in the centre of Amsterdam, close to everything, but not too touristy. A unique way to stay in Amsterdam. Not anything really. However we can imagine this is not for everyone due to steep little stairs and a very low ceiling and just a curtain for one of the bedrooms. This made it unique and cosy for us though.
- Rachel (9/5): Fun stay in an usual place. The host was very helpful. - it was a quirky place to stay, really central still but a quieter neighbourhood. It was more social than hotel rooms as we could sit in the covered deck, listen to music and watch the world go by. nothing, it was good.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Schlaeger (10/5): Great location meets superior experience. - It was the perfect showcase of the life on a house boat. That includes that the floor is wonky and makes a lot of sound and that the spacing is narrow. The view on the terrace especially at sundown is so unimaginable that I would have paid good money to sit there for just one more evening. There were some minor damages or inconveniences with the utilities such as the sink draining water only very slowly. All in all, we would have to search very hard for things that we disliked.
- Jens (9/5): Superb - Excellent location in the center of Amsterdam with a beautiful view from the top. Nice house boat atmosphere and more spacious than expected. Nothing essential really. There could have been more kitchen equipment (though nothing essential was missing) and the radio/CD-player was not working.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Great experience to say on houseboat - I loved the location. it's in a great spot next to waterloopien Market. It's one of my favourite spots in Amsterdam. The boat is as described. Access is easy and straightforward. The boat is lovely and warm, and we stayed in late January it was freezing out, so having a nice warm place to come back to is essential. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The room upstairs , where you access the boat, is a bit too cold for January, and Windows had so much condensation you couldn't see out. Maybe if they left a squeegee, you could wipe it every now and again to see out or get the radiator working up there to make it more usable other than that. I loved it and would stay again..
- Alejandro (8/5): nice experience leaving in a boat - excellent location , nice accommodation
- Nat (8/5): Great location - Fantastic location. Great communication prior to arrival. Pretty precarious accessing the property - especially after a few of the local delights.
- Bearded (5/5): the boat was very conveniently placed all my relatives and friends, all within walking distance - We made our own. No breakfast was provided if the roof of the boat had not leaked in the rain it would have been better all the hatches on the boat leaked at some point during the stay. often coming back to puddles of water on the floor and water dripping on your head while on the toilet .
- Anonymous (8/5): Wonderful and comfortable stay - location and beautiful views nothing, everything was great
