• Phillippa (10/5): - Spacious apartment in a good location - good for public transport, restaurants, etc. Owner responsive and helpful. This is a penthouse, so there are stairs to climb, but these are steep and narrow.

• KATALIN (7/5): - Mi è piaciuta la posizione che è molto comoda per arrivare al centro. Il comfort della casa era abbastanza buona. Le 74 gradini di scale divisi in 5 livelli da fare con le valigie all’inizio onestamente per persone sopra i 60 anni con problemi di salute sono off-limit. Normalmente quando si viene avvertiti per non creare danni sulla parete, pena la deduzione dalla cauzione obbligatoria di 350 euro ci occorrerebbe un aiuto proprio dalla parte di qualcuno (host, staff etc). Noi siamo stati fortunati perché il nostro figlio con le sue braccia forti ci è riuscito ad entrare ed uscire con le nostre 3 valigie, ma mi chiedo gli altri come fanno?

• Svea B (8/5): Super Unterkunft für zwei, aber sportlich muss man sein - Die Lage war sehr gut. Man kann mit der Bahn in 20 Minuten im Zentrum sein. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich. Preis-Leistung ist super. Vermieter ist vor Ort und reagiert direkt auf Anfragen. Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft für zwei. Die Anzahl der Geschirrs ist etwas knapp. Zu zweit ist die Wohnung super. Zu dritt ist es zu eng. Die 5 steilen und engen Treppen zur Unterkunft hoch sind eine Herausforderung. Parken kann man dort nicht gut. Die Parkmöglichkeiten waren sehr voll und teuer.
• Lisa (10/5): A fabulous time! - The property was in a lovely location! Lovely restaurants and coffee shops just down the road. A quiet location which meant we could have restful nights, but we were also nice and close to town (just a 10-15 min walk!). The penthouse was very clean and had everthing we needed. Our host was also so helpful and responsive to anything we ask. Already discussing our plans here for next year!

• Béla (10/5): Great roof apartment - Great roof apartment with large windows. The flat was clean, everything you need was available in the apartment. No centrally located, but good tram links to both the city centre and the airport. Many thanks to Iwan for his flexibility despite of our late arrival. He gave us a very cool tip about one of the best pubs in the area (Goos), and the information in the brochure was very helpful too. The apartment is more suitable for two people than three. The staircase, typical of Amsterdam, is narrow and steep, no problem without bags, just difficult at the beginning and the end of the trip.
• Fayola (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely LOVED our stay at this apartment. It was clean, bright, peaceful and everything was just as pictured. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! Great location, within walking distance of the city centre and with a well-connected tram stop within 1 minute walk. Would highly recommend for anyone and will definitely stay again next time I’m in Amsterdam.

Close to multiple public transport options and also walkable distance to many sights. Very friendly and helpful host. Apartment is comfortable, light and bright with lovely views over the city. Yes - the stairs are steep and narrow, but that is made very clear so don’t book it if you are not able to climb them. Nothing. It was everything we needed.

The location of the apartment is very comfortable - tram station at the doorstep (~15 minutes to the center) and in a nice, quiet neighborhood with small supermarkets and various restaurants in walking distance. The apartment itself is well equipped, spaceious and clean. We appreciated coming back to this "home away" after a long day out. Light in the bathroom didn't work but was substituted by a different lamp and repaired shortly after we left. Motion sensor for light in the hallway outside the apartment didn't work. No big thing:)

• Howard (8/5): Good but you need to be fit to climb the narrow and steep stairs. - The stairs are very difficult if you have large luggage and 5 floors to climb, narrow steep stairs is ridiculous!

• Kathryn (9/5): Charming neighbourhood - The location was more than we hoped for. Local neighbourhood was charming with easy and quick access to shops and public transport. Only a few tram stops to the centre of Amsterdam and all places of interest. Evenings in the apartment were cosy and very quiet! A peaceful neighbourhood. Iwan and Abdo, our hosts,were on hand for all our queries and any house related issues. We were even offered late check out as incoming guests wouldn't be arriving till late. We didn't have to do this as other options were presented to us, but we appreciated the effort to accommodate us if possible. Would definitely ensure another reservation if retuning to Amsterdam. The only downside were the flights of stairs to reach apartment on first day! But then again, we had 4 suitcases to bring up! Going down was easier.! But having said that, l wouldn't hesitate to rebook again and hopefully travel lighter! As it is a charming older building, there aren't lifts. But definitely well worth the climb!
• Venkatraman (10/5): A comfortable cozy home away from home - The location is very convenient . The view from apartment is fantastic. Tram Bus Metro . Anything I could think of was already there in the apartment . Coffee, Sugar , washing machine, oven, iron , clothes stand. Most important was the continuous interaction patient guidance from Iwan where he made everything so easy to understand and made us so comfortable and at home away from home. Actually for such a lovely place , I cannot think of any problem at all. If I come to Amsterdam , am sure to request for this apartment again. My family did not have an issue as we took it as a daily exercise. Please remember apartment is on a higher floor and climbing 3 floors is required.

• Angela (10/5): Lovely place, high spec, I enjoyed every part of my stay - Easy to get keys and keep in contact The living room cushions needed a wash as I think the sofa is sometimes used as a sofa bed, bath tub needed bleach or deeper clean to remove stains
• Petra (10/5): You can fully trust the description - The apartment was perfect for our stay, since we participed at an event in the RAI convention center. It is really beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Public transport with good connections to central station and city center are more or less directly in front of the door. The owner is super friendly and helpful and responds to any question immediately! There are quite steep stairs to get to the apartment, which is very typical for Amsterdam. Supermarkets and nice restaurants are in walking distance. We fully recommend this appartment!!!

The location is great, close enough to the more touristic side of the city by transport just a few steps from the door and also just a beautiful and brief walk away from excellent local places to see, shop or eat at.

The owner requires a 250 euro deposit by bank transfer so I lost money transferring into euros and back.

Amsterdam was fab and this apartment helped to make our stay so good. - really clean and very well equipped. read the description carefully re location-it is about 40 mins walk and 15-20 mins on tram from centre. also 81 narrow steps to get up which may be difficult for some - just something to be aware of really not a big complaint. would be good to have more info available when you get there re how to access the centre, nearest supermarket, shops and restaurants etc in area.
