• Karen (10/5): Excellent accomodation - Bed was huge and so comfortable. Fridge was handy. Views from window were lovely. Roof terrace was fab, especially since weather was so good. Bathroom was spotless and great size. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Above average size for Amsterdam accommodation Lots of stairs but they were very clear on that in the listing so we were prepared and kept us fit 😁

• Deb (9/5): Perfect position - It was a lovely spacious apartment with great views across the streets and canal. Especially from our private rooftop area. Being an old building it had a small issue with the plumbing at one of the vanity basins, which our host is aware of.

• Lee (10/5): A traditional slice of heaven - The apartment was beautifully furnished and very traditional. The bed was super comfy and the staff could not have been friendlier. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. The place is close to amazing restaurants and bars and not too far from anything. Great access to trams too. Nothing, the place is beautiful.

The apartment is similar to a large hotel room (small fridge and coffee maker)The pictures are representative of the apartment. The view of the canal can be seen if you climb the little staircase off the side of the bed (no direct view from the bedroom). The bathroom was spacious. The roof top terrace provides no view, just outdoor space….unless you climb over the elevated walls or are 6’5” or taller. The carpet was stained and tattered.

• Kathleen (10/5): Lovely Amsterdam Stay - Beautiful top floor apartment in Amsterdam provided us with a spacious stay in a perfect location. The bathroom was well appointed and we loved the private roof top deck for a special last night toast. While we were okay with many stairs to reach the apartment, others should consider. We would definitely stay again regardless of the stairs.
• Lauren (10/5): 10/10 the place to stay. - Absolutely loved the apartment and the terrace, this was my 10th trip to Amsterdam so wanted to make it special and it was up there with one of the best. Loved the size compared to most in Amsterdam, the bath tub was so big too! The terrace was lovely and private, very big comfortable bed, coffee machine with lots of pods along with a stacked mini fridge of drinks which was complimentary and very much appreciated! Beautiful building, good location, only met the housekeeper as the hosts were away but she was very polite, absolutely loved my stay and will 100% come back again There was nothing we didn’t actually like a such, we loved everything about it. The only suggestions we would make would maybe be for a bit of a bigger tv or to relocate it to above where the desk is instead so it’s a bit closer to the bed, and maybe some sort of covering on the terrace. But still wouldn’t say they need changing, just polite suggestions. Overall absolutely made up with our stay and will recommend
• Regina Sutherland (10/5): - The accommodation was wonderful and was I'm sure this was a manor house. So regal, elegant & beautiful. The owner Theijs has decorated the space with lush bedding, towels, fresh flowers, a fridge filled with drinks, tea, coffee and lovely bathroom amenities. Our bags were carried up many flights of stairs and also on check out, which was flexible. The rooftop is large and a beautiful sunny spot. The apartment is quiet, on the canal and close to everything. We feel extremely lucky to stay in this grand manor. I can't say enough! Beautiful, this made Amsterdam my new love.

Very quiet and a little out of the crowds while still being a short walk to everything. Good coffee, restaurants, and supermarket close by. Great local tips from the host. It takes a while for the aircon to cool the room in Summer but it on a little early did the trick.

The last flight of stairs up was a challenge but no deal breaker, once you’re there all good!

Helpfully letting us drop our bags off before check in and holding onto them after we checked out. We also loved the views of the canal. We watched the world go by frequently.

• Cynthia (10/5): Canal side stay in a historic building, centrally located - The location is in a lovely residential area, centrally located on a canal. It has great views from the apartment and the private rooftop terrace. We walked to everything. There is a grocery about 2 blocks away. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by. We found some great little spots off the typical tourist path. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the museum area. About the same distance in the other direction to the Flower Market. It worked out great for us since we had friends staying in both those locations. The host is very kind and greeted us when we arrived and helped store our luggage after our overnight flight. Thank you again for doing so. Really nothing that we didn’t like. It was as advertised. As others have mentioned, it is on the top floor of a historic building so there are 4 flights of stairs. We were fine with that but if you have mobility issues, you should be aware. There is not a kitchen but there is a small fridge and coffee maker. There are so many great restaurants nearby so no need to cook in.
• Nicole (10/5): The perfect space for our long weekend break to Amsterdam. - A beautiful and spacious apartment nestled in the centre of Amsterdam with gorgeous rooftop views of the city and canals. Such a great location with shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars all within a short walk. The seats on the rooftop were not the most comfortable and the door handle on the outside of the door to the rooftop kept coming off.

Great views from the window and from the roof top area. Mini bar/ fridge. Everything you’d need for a pleasant stay. Super comfy bed and pillows on top of everything else. You can't beat that view or the hospitality. Needs bigger trash cans. That's it.

• Sam (10/5): Perfect stay in Amsterdam - The suite is exactly as described and as per the photos, it is clean and welcoming and it was a total pleasure to stay there. You have access to your own private roof top, the rooms are an adequate size and I cannot thank Thijs, our host, enough for their hospitality. Thijs couldn't' do enough to accommodate us. The suite is fairly central to most places in Amsterdam. There is access to trams going to and from Amsterdam Central which is less than 5 minutes away from the property and Rembrandtplein is literally a couple of minutes walk away. If you don't mind a lot of stairs and a bit of cardio, the suite is a perfect place to stay. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you!

The rooftop terrace was a nice touch. We would have liked a small table with chairs to play card games or backgammon, but managed okay.
• Susan (10/5): Beautiful apartment, close to attractions. - The apartment was perfect for our trip/ needs. It was a close walk to city center, or a taxi ride away if you are not up for walking. It is tastefully decorated, and immaculately clean. Located on a canal with lovely views. The owners were very helpful with tips on places to visit, and very flexible with our travel situation. I could honestly day that there was nothing that I “ didn’t “ like. It is a great place to rent. The only thing that someone might have issues with, would be the flights of stairs up to the apartment. The building is 400 years old, before elevators. So the stairs were steep while carrying luggage. However, the owner makes this apparent in the description. It was not a surprise or a deterrent to us. I would love to visit again.
• Steven (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful comfortable spacious room and large bathroom in historic townhouse set in the midst of the 17th century canal district. Very accessible! Lots of restaurants and public transport close by. Nice windowseat with views out over the canals. Very comfortable bed. Upstairs is a roof-top terrace to enjoy the surrounding skyline of towers and rooftops. Beautiful garden in back. Hosts are exceptional in kindness and helpfulness. Just a comment not a criticism: unit is on the top (4th) floor with a narrow steep staircase from the floor below. That would be a challenge for some travelers. However host very kindly brings baggage up and down the stairs for the guests.

So cosy and loved sitting having a coffee up by the window. Really warm welcome by the hosts and stored our luggage so we could enjoy our last day. Don't let any reviews about the amount of stairs put you off its really not that big of a deal 😃 besides when you reach the top it is so worth it really cosy bedroom with all the facilities you would need for a short trip. Great location overall excellent place to stay.

Beautiful scenery and views from the terrace. The bed! Wow! Amazing. The amount of stairs we had to climb to reach the apartment was a killer but was worth it.
