• Craig (7/5): Great place shame about the late night noise - Lovely, clean and convenient for all the attractions of Amsterdam Earplugs required! The street outside gets very noisy between 10pm and 4am as there are a load of bars / clubs just around the corner. Despite the signs outside it seems revellers are incapable of keeping the noise down later on.
• Anthea (8/5): Great location and wonderful host - Super responsive host at time of booking, before arrival and whilst away. Very central location. Pretty architecture in apartment. Fantastic we could meet host and leave bags on arrival allowing easy city access. Bed was comfortable. Nice to have blankets in the living room. Some provisions including wine provided on arrival. Overall a great apartment with fabulous hosting and cleanliness. Overall an amazing experience, would benefit from replacing all towels, these were clean but worn. Apartment is clearly non smoking but despite great cleanliness, did smell of cigarette smoke. We knew what to expect with the central location, but for people not used to noise, the bars on Fri and sat evening are very noisy until 3am...not an issue for us but may be for other people. We would stay here again, it was a wonderful location, well maintained and super responsive host Thank you

Pretty street, clean and comfortable. Noisy at night. Even earplugs couldn’t block out the noise from the street adjacent to property.

• Guest (8/5): Great stay, great location, owner was never nice, she left us some snacks in the fridge. The location couldn’t have been - I loved the location, very central to everything. The flower market was outside your doorstep and so many restaurants and shops. We are on the street where all the LGBTQIA bars and clubs are and they don’t close until 5am. You can hear all the talking, yelling of all the drunk people walking through our alley and we couldn’t sleep. You can hear everything unfortunately this started Thursdays night. The bathroom aka shower was so tight and so was the toilet so if you’re 6ft tall and bigger that might be a problem but it wasn’t for us. The basement where the room is actually really humid I kept waking up with nosebleeds. It would also get pretty chilly down there luckily they had blankets upstairs.

• Zak Murray (8/5): Amazing Location but expensive and few flaws - The location is 11/10 — right near the Flower Market and canals, close to Uniqlo and the main shopping area, with heaps of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby. The bed was very comfortable, and the space overall looked modern, stylish, and clean. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like wine and food in the fridge, snacks, toiletries, and soaps — very generous. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the host was friendly and helpful throughout. The living room was cosy, and it was great having a TV in the bedroom. There’s also a small porch for smoking, if that’s your thing. Overall, it’s a nicely decorated space in an unbeatable location. Unfortunately, some things didn’t match expectations. There are photos on the listing that don’t reflect the actual apartment, which felt misleading. I was under the impression the stovetop worked, but was later told the local municipality doesn’t allow cooking — this was a major surprise and would have influenced our booking decision. The kitchen is essentially unusable: no working stovetop, no microwave, just an oven/microwave-grill hybrid. This isn’t clearly stated and should be made more obvious in the listing. The layout is a bit unusual — the toilet and shower are in separate small rooms right beside the kitchen and living area, not near the bedroom. It’s not necessarily bad, just inconvenient. The bedroom itself has a sink, which was handy. You can sometimes hear water draining through pipes in the bedroom area as the room you stay in is connected to a bigger building. Also, noise in general was a bit of an issue — drunk people late at night outside the window, and early morning street noise made it hard to sleep in. However, this is the small price you may pay for the amazing location! The apartment is compact — expected for the location, but still worth noting.

Stylish, appropriately equipped, very comfortable bedding, crystal clean bathrooms, high class toiletries. We just loved it. Yes, the price is not cheap, but it is fair for the quality you get and, for course, for the location.

The host exceeded all expectations by generously stocking the fridge with a variety of food for us to enjoy – from milk and cheese to yogurt and even blueberries. Such a thoughtful touch! Additionally, the host provided high-quality toiletries and soap, all from Rituals, which was a delightful and uncommon surprise. We were genuinely impressed by the attention to detail. On top of that, the flexibility with check-in and check-out times made our stay even more comfortable. We highly recommend this flat to anyone! The only minor improvement we’d suggest is adding a few pillows to the couch for extra comfort

We would love to stay there again. - My wife and I used to dream of moving to Amsterdam so when we came to visit we wanted to feel like we actually lived there and this apartment was perfect for that. It's a very nice, comfortable space that met all of our needs easily. The location is amazing, a few minutes walk from a major social square, a few minutes walk from a major tram station. We loved where we stayed very much. There is no air conditioning and the space is a bit small, but those are just cultural differences between the Netherlands and the USA. But the toilet and shower were a bit difficult to use because of the size.

The place was clean and not too noisy, given the bars and restaurants around. There was only one window that could not be left open overnight. The flat was stuffy. There were only limited cooking facilities.

• Sharon (10/5): Amsterdam is amazing and this property was the icing on the cake!!! - Location was amazing, right next to really great bars and restaurants :) Saskia went out of her way to make us feel welcome with a fridge stocked of treats and gorgeous toiletries to use. That we didn’t book longer there 😄

Very lively area and not for those looking for a quiet break but we enjoyed being amongst the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam. Apartment was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Only downside was the noise at night due to its location close to pubs and restaurants. Probably unavoidable staying in central Amsterdam.

• Barbaraw92 (10/5): Love it! - The location is perfect, central to a lot of restaurants and clubs. Yes, nights are noisy but quality earplugs are provided which solves the issue. The Queen sized bed was exceptionally comfortable. The house comes with teas, coffee, snacks and also the fridge was to our disposal with a few bits of food inside which was a very nice touch! Saskia, the host, is very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment! The stairs down to the bedroom were very slippery.

• Michael (9/5): Amsterdam City break - Lovely clean and comfortable apartment in a central location surrounded by restaurants , shops and places of interest. Saskia provides a great welcome pack so no need to rush out on arrival to buy groceries. This location is excellent for a city central convenience, and if you want the nightlife even better. But you have to accept the associated party noise which goes on all night. Not for those wanting a good night's sleep despite the nice comfy bed.

• Robert (10/5): Beautiful city with lots of bikes - pay attention to them when you cross streets - Location was great - on a private street with no vehicular traffic. Lots of restaurants within five minutes. One canal was just two minutes from our location. We rented two side-by-side apartment, so we had two of everything and lots of privacy Taxi could not drive right up to the property, because of pedestrian-only streets. So, we had a five minute walk dragging our luggage on bumpy roads. We knew this ahead of time because we navigated the route in advance using Google street view.

• Clare (8/5): Very good - Location was really excellent. Apartment clean, and we were left some very nice things by the host. Really good communication, and good local information available. The upstairs part of the apartment was good. Apartment met expectations except for size of toilet and bathroom and small sleeping quarters. For us the apartment felt a little cramped in the sleeping area, and bathroom/toilet. If you are a big person, this may be a problem. Because the apartment is so central, it was very noisy at night (weekend?). This may not be a problem for some people, if you are out late, but for us it was quite loud.
• Martin (10/5): A spacious well maintained centrally located apartment. - The apartment is spacious and very well maintained in an excellent central location only 4 short tram stops from the main Central Train Station. The Flower Market is located at the end of the street and there are many restaurants immediately close by. The hosts provided a well stocked fridge and food cupboard with just about everything we needed for our 4 day stay. They made sure we were settled in, but were otherwise completely unobtrusive. We have no complaints.
