• Dj Atomika (8/5): Gastgeber sehr höflich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam; alles verlief reibungslos - Der Gastgeber war sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Er hat regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob in der Wohnung alles in Ordnung ist und ob noch etwas benötigt wird. Außerdem hat er beim Tragen der Koffer geholfen und interessante Informationen über die Stadt gegeben. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe verlief problemlos. Das Badezimmer benötigt mehr Aufmerksamkeit und könnte besser gepflegt werden, hat uns jedoch nicht gestört.

Nous étions en famille 8 personnes, l appartement avec 3 belles chambres spacieuses, lumineuses et très confortables. L emplacement est idéal pour visiter la ville ! Très très bien placé près des bus, tramway à 5mn à pied. Murathan a été super, il a été réactif serviable et pleins de bons conseils. My booking was for 8 days but I only stayed for half a day, because I was worried for my kids health in that filthy apartment. It was nothing like the pictures were on the booking.com. the host didn't contacted me for hours after my concerns about the apartment. I would not recommend any one staying there. I think all the reviews are fake on there listing.

The location is excellent - just steps away from public transport, which made getting around the city very convenient. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily book again!

• Elio (7/5): Soggiorno in un contesto turco - La struttura ha diversi appartamenti ed a noi è capitato quello al primo piano. Appartamento non nuovissimo ma in linea con il quartiere popolare e il contesto dove eravamo. Classico appartamento turco arredato con tappeti e bagno piccolino solo per la turca. C'era un altro con wc e doccia ma anche questo era molto piccolo. POSSIBILITÀ di cucinare ma non abbiamo trovato un vero tavolo per consumare la colazione o il pasto. Ci siamo adattati con il tavolo basso nel salottino. Insomma bisogna sapersi un pochino adattare al contesto e tutto sommato può andare benissimo per brevi soggiorni. Proprio davanti la struttura c'è un parcheggio custodito a pagamento (32 euro per tre giorni), dove è possibile lasciare l'auto e in una città come Instanbul è fortemente consigliato. Tram a due isolati con il quale è possibile raggiungere il centro con poche fermate. A piedi, un poco più distante, è possibile raggiungere anche la metro con la quale si può arrivare direttamente dall'altra parte della città, ovvero a Galata o Taksim. Host molto gentile e disponibile. Posizione in un contesto turco molto reale. Minimarket, caffè e ristoranti a portata di mano. Due passi a piedi da Akroy. Nonostante il quartiere sia pieno di negozi e molto popoloso, la struttura è posizionata fuori dal contesto rumoroso cittadino e quindi è molto silenziosa. A due passi(visibile anche dal balconcino che da sulle altre case turche) c'è una piccola moschea e quindi possibilità di immergersi nell'ambiente quando il muezzin canta le preghiere. Non avevamo per tutti gli ospiti il giusto numero di asciugamani per doccia e viso. Appena arrivati ancora erano stesi ad asciugare in quanto erano stati lavati da poco, direttamente con la lavatrice di casa dalla donna delle pulizie. I tubi del condizionatore, che passavano proprio sul mio letto, gocciavano ed ho dovuto dormire al contrario.

• Hossain (9/5): Overall, for a family who is looking for a mid range apartment, go for this one. Hope you will enjoy your stay. - Owner was very friendly and active. Our flight was delayed and he was keep contacting us about our arrival time. If you’re going from an English country, it may be very difficult to make conversation with him. We used translation app to make him understand. During the period of our time, he visited 3 times to get our update. Specially, in our farewell he was saying goodbye and helped us by giving direction to our uber driver. For public transport, it just 5-6 minutes walking distance. There are dishes and cooker in the kitchen and a washing machine. For a family living, it’s a budget friendly apartment. You may find it a little old but it’s alright. The door locks automatically. In the time of our stay, once the door was locked and the key we left inside. It was impossible to open the door without the key. We contacted immediately to the owner, he sent his son 10km away at 23:00. There are some minor issues which he promised to fix asap.

Extremely nice and helpful host, quick reactions to any questions / problems with accommodation. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay with kids, it was nice and warm inside (even during the very cold week). Highly recommend.

• Majid (4/5): To cut the story short, stepping into the place felt like traveling 50 years back in time. - The best thing about the residence was its location. It was a short walk to the bus, subway station, and tramway. All the famous bazaars, including the Spice Market and the Friday and Wednesday markets, were accessible in under 20 minutes by public transport. Reaching Taksim Square and other popular sightseeing spots was also incredibly easy. We were disappointed with our stay due to several issues, primarily the lack of communication from Mehmet, the owner. He was unresponsive to our requests, making it difficult to address even basic concerns. For instance, we asked for additional lighting in the living room as it was too dim, but our request was ignored. One day, the water was shut off from 4 PM to 4 AM, affecting all 18 group members. While this was due to a municipal issue in many areas of Istanbul, Mehmet had received prior notice from the authorities but failed to inform us. This lack of communication caused significant inconvenience, leaving us unprepared for the disruption. Additionally, the bathroom on the ground floor lacked a radiator, making it uncomfortably cold during December. The cleanliness of the property was another major concern. The bath towels, especially on the first floor, were filthy, with one even having a large mud stain as if someone had stepped on it. We had to wash all the towels before using them. Additionally, the cooking utensils were extremely old and encrusted with stains, making us unwilling to use them. The living room areas, particularly under the sofas and in hard-to-reach spots, were extremely dirty and littered with debris. Above all, when we entered the kitchen on the first floor, there was an awful, putrid smell—almost like a decomposing body. We couldn’t initially pinpoint the source of the stench. After searching for a while, we finally discovered that the bottom of the fridge was filthy and was the cause of the foul odor. We spent over three hours cleaning, using a generous amount of bleach, to eliminate the disgusting smell. It was horrible. The Wi-Fi was generally decent, but the connection in the ground-floor bathroom was extremely poor. Overall, the entire building and its furnishings need renovation, with everything being replaced by new items.

• Asma (4/5): Good location but not clean - Even though we have agreed on staying in the second floor in the last day the owner wrote to me that the third floor is better for us but when we arrived because of the stairs we still insist to stay in second floor. Unfortunately the second floor apartment was not clean at all. The worst thing was the black mold in the bathroom. The owner was friendly but he couldn’t speak English our communication was through WhatsApp. The property was not clean. It has a balcony but at least the balcony in the second floor is small and you can not seat there. The ventilation in the bathroom was not good so there were black mold everywhere.

• Sanjaya (10/5): Nice place to stay in Istanbul - The flat was spacious, clean, and easily to be accessed. The owner was so kind to provide any help possible he could do. He even opened the heater for us during the stay so our children may stay warm during the night. I really recommend those who want to stay in easily accessible place in Istanbul to stay in this apartment
• Alina (3/5): Super dirty with mold and insects - Location is good, the owner really tried to be nice. The apartment is literally super dirty with mold and some insects in bathroom. The microwave is dirty as well, we didn't risk to use it, the fridge was full of some another food when we came. We didn't have bad lines for blankets. Unfortunately only 3 stars, because of location and the nice communication from the owner.

• Amir (1/5): Please forget this place if your healthy is important for you. - i left the place two days sooner because of dirty. Unbelievable dirty I suggest you that if you have time to cancel your reservation please cancel it ASAP. Otherwise only one rubbish's flat is waiting for you. Despite this, if you want to try it, be sure to bring sheets, pillowcases and antisects spray . Please see attached photos everything is rubbish It was completly dirty that how ever we booked for 9 nights we had to left two days before. We reserved for 8 persons and two childeren but the quantity of beds was only for 7 persons. The rooms and beds war dirty and full of insects that because of that some of us got a fungal infection of the skin that till tody ( after 7 days) we have to take daily medicine .
• Abdul (10/5): It was a very nice trip, and if we decide to travel next year, we will book the same apartment. - The place is beautiful and comfortable, and the nice thing about the place is that it is close to almost all the transportation that you need to reach most of the places you need, the owner of the residence is nice and helpful, the balcony is large and beautiful. The bathroom was a little tight.
• Muhammad (5/5): Location ideal however property is just a compromise. - Only one thing I like the location. Few minutes walk to Metro and buses which helps anyone to travel anywhere in İSTANBUL. The ideal place for having a good quality and variety of lunch specially dinner however breakfast options are limited. Everything on reasonable prices too comparing to Sultanahmet and Taksim Square/Istiklal Street. Also owner of the property is gentleman however he doesn’t speak or understand other than Arabic and Turkish. He kept our luggage safe for few hours after the checkout time. At least Towels were washed and clean. Cleanliness is not great. Wooden floor and walls are clean(But thank god no smell in the house). Specially Bathrooms are full of black mould everywhere. Size is very small. They claim 2 toilets however 2nd one is non useable in this era of time. Only 2 toilets rolls were given with hand wash nothing else. About Rooms, I think they only change and wash Bedding in start and end of the season. 2 single bed’s room curtains are useless and of very thin fabrics, as room facing sun so light starts very early morning in that room which feels like you are sleeping on an open terrace that also makes room very warm. Rest of 2 rooms were fine. 1 double bedroom is very small size however third room was spacious. Wardrobes are good. For Muslims, prayer mats were available. Only have 1 Air-conditioner in living room which is ok if the temperature remains less than 27 Celsius otherwise it’s unbearable. This small AC doesn’t work at all in high temperature. All rooms have very small size table fans. Again if temperature is high you can’t sleep at all with those fans. Kitchen appliances are in pathetic condition. No bin liners were provided and outer big bin was already full when we checked in, so we end up piling up the all week rubbish by that bin. Limited cleaning stuff was available. Crockery and cutlery was ok and enough. Property doesn’t have its own Iron. When we asked for iron then been told to share with upstairs apartment so first 2 days iron had been used in slots between 2 apartments. I chose this property after reading reviews. I believe people being polite while giving review and give positive feedbacks so they don’t hurt the owner however one must give a real feedback which is mandatory so other gets the real picture of what they are booking.
• Nastaran (9/5): Superb - The owner is an extraordinary host, very kind and very supportive and helpful. The location is great. The view of the sea was nice. As the building is located in the old town, it is rather an old building. Therefore, there is no elevator available.

• Imran (10/5): Excellent location, price and top notch service. - A very nice location close to good transport networks and a lot of food places which catered for all our different needs. The space in the apartment was ample for our large family of 9 with 3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms, dining area and kitchen aswell as a nice balcony seating area to enjoy the cooler evenings. The local facilities were open late hours and we were able to pick up what we needed. We messaged the host about the iron not working and he sorted it out straight away. The apartment was very accommodating with holding our luggage on the last day whilst we finished our touring and awaited the transport. An amazing experience and we hope to return again in the future.

• Faiza (7/5): We had some issues with our apartment the first couple of days however the host was very understanding and resolved our - I liked the location, there was a tram station only 2 minutes away and a underground station around 6 minutes away. The host was also very kind and welcoming.

The Host Mohamed Amin he help to repare bathroom door which lock was damage. The apartment is too old clean Is fair, the Furniture are old and not clean. apartment with 3 beds only one bathroom. The curtains need to be replace which you cannot sleep due to the sun inter the room. There is gas line which pass through the apartment and also there is no smoke detection. Also there is No lift to carry bags to 3 floor it was very difficult and we managed by ourselves.
