Really clean and beautiful apartment. Plenty of space for the 3 of us. Lovely light and airy space. Super friendly and accommodating host who really helped us with checking in early. Bag drop is one min walk away too which is so helpful. Nothing. We’d def look to stay if visiting again

The area felt safe and the restaurants nearby were good with friendly service. Our host left a welcome pack, a folder with recommendations for the area and kept in touch during our stay.

• Sharon (10/5): A great location and comfortable apartment. Highly recommend. - The apartment is in a very convenient location near the Colosseum and local restaurants which were excellent. It is also very very quiet. A plus in busy Rome. The welcome basket was gratefully lovely surprise. One of our party accidentally left his wallet and our host Andre was incredibly helpful locating it and very kind to mail it back to him. Maybe install a shower curtain as the floor did get tend to get a bit wet with each shower. A couple of tea towels for drying dishes and a clothes hanger for drying our clothes. Great to have a washing machine in the apartment.
• knight (7/5): A great apartment in a wonderful location, some smalll tweaks would make it perfect. - The location was perfect, just next to the colosseum, and with some wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. It was lovely and quiet in the apartment but still plenty of things going on in the area. The welcome basket was a nice touch. A few little things let it down, the shower head is covered in limescale so doesn’t work - you can easily use the other attachment, but it’s a quick fix and disappointing to see when others have complained about it too. The communication from the host was great once we arrived, but check in instructions didn’t come through until a few hours before we left and instructions for leaving a cash payment of the tourist tax didn’t come through until nearly midnight when we were due to leave at 10am the next morning. Both of those late communications caused unnecessary anxiety.
• Jee Yen (6/5): Great location. Wish it is cleaner. - Location and the host is friendly. The property is dated and toilet isn’t as clean as it could be. There are moulds and odd smell. The shower occasionally run out of hot water. The pillows are old yet the pillow cases are thin.

• כץ (10/5): - The host was really nice, we were supposed to meet him at the property at 11:30 but we had a lot of train delays and ended up being an hour late. Despite that he was really patient and helpful with us, explaining everything to us. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped, and there is a supermarket on the street next to it. We had a great time The shower doesn't have a curtain, so you have to be really careful not to get water on the floor.

• Sarah (9/5): Excellent - The colloseum is literally at the end of the street. The metro station is about 10 minutes walk. There are many restaurants very close by. The accommodation is a very high standard.

• Fiona (9/5): Spacious apartment mere steps from the Colosseum - Our family of 4 had a fabulous 4 nights at Domus Claudi Colosseum! The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and well located mere steps from the Colosseum so handy to the Colosseo Metro station and other public transport. There’s a good supermarket in the next street too. It was great being able to do some washing and have a sanctuary to relax after a day of sightseeing. The host kindly allowed us a late checkout which was greatly appreciated.

The local snacks provided was a welcome treat after a long travel day. There is an elevator which was helpful with the luggage. The location was terrific, close to the colosseum, but on a side street with less traffic. The owner was not available when we arrived, but gave us instructions on how to enter. The listing was made as a pay-on-arrival, and he had no electronic payment apps for us to pay him. So my last day in Italy was stressful trying to figure out how to get payment to him.

• Grace (7/5): It was a nice stay, except some unfortunate events with leaking A/C units & the wash machine - Location was 100 m away from Colosseum. A/C makes the stay very comfortable. Mattress were firm, so sleeping on it was fantastic. Supermarket was 60 m away. Colosseo metro station was 500 m away. Bus stops were 120 m away. Lots of restaurants surrounding by the apartment. 1. Wash machine doesn’t spin. It took 3-9 to wash the clothes. Very frustrating. 2. A/C machine leaking huge amount of water. We had to moved the whole mattress to the living room to sleep for a night. 3. Remote control didn’t work well. Low battery. 4. Extremely small elevator. (Upon arrival the host will place the elevator key inside the unit) remember to get the first, then go downstairs to pickup your belongings using the elevator.
• Dave (10/5): Great place for a couple of days in Rome. - Having stayed in the area before I booked this alterate apartment knowing the location was great. Plenty to do & see on foot from here with it's proximity to the Colloseum, Basillica Di San Clemente & many other landmarks. Rome is so easy to navigate around on foot, though it was hot so we did use Uber a couple of times. You can get dropped off at the door here and there are a number of good restaurants within a short stroll but go up hill away from the touristy ones with inflated prices. The staff at the Contrario directly across are wonderful. The La Taverna dei Quaranta is a lovely quiet place for a meal just around the corner. The lift is small but fits one & some luggage. Go upstairs & leave luggage at bottom and once inside via keysafe on door, you will get a key to access the lift to bring luggage up. There was really nothing not to like about this stay.

The apartment is spacious and generally was very comfortable and clean. Is 3 floors up also so is generally very quiet. Flexible check in was also useful We were missing a few utensils for cooking and the washing machine did not spin clothes very well. Repairing the outdoor clothes lines would have been extremely handy given that (along with some pegs)…

• Shaun (7/5): Comfortable stay close to everything - Firstly it’s in an excellent location. Literally 2 minute walk to the Colosseum and a few mins to the Metro which can get you anywhere in Rome. The beds are comfortable and we got a decent nights sleep. There are plenty of bars, Cafe’s and a supermarket within a couple of minutes walk. The washing machine is useless. As others have said, it doesn’t clean clothes properly, and this is nothing to do with putting too much clothes in. We didn’t over fill it. A cycle takes three hours and when it finishes it doesn’t spin properly. The clothes come out absolutely wet through and putting things back in to spin doesn’t help. The property also smells, particularly the bathroom. Even with the windows open there is a constant stench of sewage which is gross .

We traveled with a baby and the kitchen was big enough for this situation, and very well equipped. A very nice touch and much appreciated the wine and coffee pods we were expected with If I need to find something to be picky about, the elevator was very narrow, barely fits luggage, the stroller not a chance, unless folded.

Nice welcome basket with biscuits, coffee pods and wine (although no wine glasses to drink it out of.) Linen & pillows need replacing. Pillows were comfortable but had a lot of pilling which you could feel through the thin pillowcase. A pillow protector would easily solve the problem. Shower temp inconsistent (although that could be an apartment block problem). Washing machine doesn’t work (as others have mentioned.) Kitchen needs a few more basic cooking utensils.
