• Stefan (10/5): Perfekt Unterkunft für eine Stadterkundung - Der Host Angelo hat vor der anreise schon Kontakt mit uns aufgenommen und uns perfekt alle Infos zukommen lassen die für unsere Anreise notwendig waren. Die Lage der Unterkunft war für unseren 4 Tages Aufenthalt perfekt gelegen: 10 min von der Spanischen Treppe entfernt und 5 Minuten vom Trevi Brunnen. Wir konnten eigentlich alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Innenstadt zu Fuss erreichen. Die Nähe zur U-Bahnstation (5 min) war auch perfekt. 2 Stationen vom Bahnhof Termini entfernt. Den ersten Tag war es etwas Kühl in der Wohnung aber am zweiten Tag fanden wir dann die Temperaturkontrolle für die Heizkörper (kleines Braunes Rädchen neben dem Bad beim Schlafzimmer) und ab dann war es perfekt. Wir würden definitiv wieder dort schlafen sollte es uns mal wieder nach Rom verschlagen. Es gibt nichts was ich bemängeln könnte!!

Le manque de clarté dans le salon/cuisine.L'ascenseur qui ne dessert que les étages au dessus (on voyage généralement avec une valise ...qui peut être lourde..), les cloisons très fines et bruyantes pour la chambre principale (heureusement nous prenons toujours "au cas où "des boules Quiès dans les hotels...les 5 ampoules à changer. Le danger pour des enfants de la réparation au scotch du fil d'alimentation du lampadaire du salon! Les photos sur Booking montrent en réalité plusieurs appartements à la même adresse et devraient être reconnaissables appartement par appartement.

• Christian (7/5): Peut mieux faire - - La situation du logement , son confort, et son agencement, il est rare d'avoir 2 salles de bains et 2 toilettes dans un même appartement - Indéniablement, l'isolation !!! Il est impossible de dormir dans la chambre donnant côté rue ! Le double vitrage si cela en est bien un est clairement insuffisant et dès 3h du matin, il n'est plus possible de fermer l'oeil entre le ramassage des ordures, le bruit des scooters, les commerces, etc... C'est dommage, il est IMPERATIF à mon sens d'isoler le mur extérieur et de changer la fenêtre pour un triple vitrage.

Cuartos amplios, baños y cocina nueva, bien equipado, buena presión de ducha. Funciona todo. Buenos colchones. Ascensor, que en Italia es una bendición. Muy atento y siempre dispuesto Angelo, el dueño. Para la zona, es tranquilo y se puede dormir bien. Volvería. Es un primer piso en una calle angosta, por lo que es bastante oscuro, pero como se está poco, no afecta. Hay un leve olor a encierro al entrar, pero que no es humedad ni genera alergia. Un olor común en Roma en edificios antiguos. Igualmente, en precio calidad, está muy bien.

• Linda (7/5): Excellent location and clean. - The location was excellent near Piazza Barberini. Close to everything and only 2 short blocks to the Metro station. The apartment was clean. We really enjoyed having 2 separate full bathrooms as we traveled as a group of 4 adults. Additionally, the owner assisted in arranging van transportation from the airport to the property. The main room was dark and the lighting was poor. You had a hard time reading in the dim light.

Overall the square footage was awesome; very roomy with the exception of the shower. Nice size kitchen with all the kitchen essentials. Shower was very small, challenging to turn and wash. If you don't want your hair soaked make sure to use a shower cap.

• Ninad (6/5): Excellent location and nice and helpful host - This apartment is 6 minutes walk from Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps. The location is excellent. The apartment is roomy and with 2 bathrooms it was quick to get ready. The washer worked well and the kitchen appliances are new. The furniture throughout the house is quite dated and bulky. The couch, some chairs of the dining room, and master bedroom bed all were creaking. The chandelier in the master bedroom was scary! It is huge and there was dust on it. The lighting in the living room was minimal. The paintings make the apartment look old and dull. Since the apartment is above multiple restaurants, a lot of people were smoking. If we kept the windows open the smoke would come into the bedroom. This apartment has a lot of potential! I hope the host replaces the furniture (including the master bedroom bed) with new and contemporary pieces that take up less space. Also hope the lighting situation in the living room is improved.

• Kscarter72 (9/5): Great for family - Spacious apartment, great for a family of four. Great location. Host communicated everything clearly and was very accomadating! Walls are a bit thin so we heard people in the next apartment. They quited down at a decent time so it was not too bad.
• Marina (1/5): Absolutely Horrendous! Stay Away! - Nothing. The seemingly attractive baroque decorations and relative proximity to the centre were invalidated by all the negatives we experienced. It was legitimately the worst property I have stayed in and the most awful experience of our lives. The flimsy illusion about the potential benefits, which we thought this property may present, very quickly fizzled out upon our arrival and when we realised what we go ourselves into… Don’t trust the “good reviews” about this property. They are clearly fake. If I could give it zero stars I would. This was by far THE WORST EVER travel experience of ours lives, and definitely not worth the money we paid for. In. fact, I think we should have claimed the compensation from the owner for a spoiled trip, stress and extreme negative experience we had to endure at his fault. The was so many wrong things with this stay that I don’t even know where exactly to start. The flat itself, although decorated in interesting a-la baroque style, is rather unremarkable and rather old. The decorations are very old and coming out, so is the furniture. Everything was rather dilapidated and definitely in need of renovation, especially if one considers the price the owner charges for that property. There is no view from the property whatsoever. Both windows enter either the dirty noisy side street, or the backyard where the garbage bins stand. The air in the flat was stale be stuffy. The windows in the bedrooms do not open at all, and it is simply difficult to breathe in the property. However, the disadvantages of the property itself were nothing in comparison with the owner and how he treats his guests, especially women. The property was rather expensive: around £1000 per 4 nights. This was equivalent, if not more expensive to what one would it for 5* start hotel. When you pay this kind of price, naturally one would expect if not a 5*star hotel service, but the very minimum of a standard service and some respect and civility. Upon ordering the property we indicated that it was for 3 adult guests and we needed 3 separate beds. There were difficulties on our journey and our plane was delayed, so we arrived not as initially planned at 3pm, but significantly later in the evening. The owner of the property, Angelo, was notified of that in good time and we agreed that he would leave the keys and check-in instructions. However, once we arrived at around 21:00 we found that the flat was not prepared for our arrival at all.

Close to subway station too which is v easy to use and we found good local restaurants just around the corner. Mini supermarkets close by as well. Everything very convenient and Angelo couldn't have been more responsive and helpful

• Reece (9/5): Lovely apartment in a great location, with a host who was both welcoming and very helpful. - The apartment was lovely and in a great location close to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, a Metro station (Barberini) and a whole load of other restaurants, bars, tourist spots and Piazzas. The host provided us with a lot of great recommendations for things to do and places to see in the area, and was always contactable. The only minor nitpick for us was we only hand one bath towel and one hand towel each which felt a bit light for a 7 day stay.

• Angelo (7/5): Angelo was a great communicator and his apartment was in a fantastic area. - Walking distance to main tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants in close proximity. Host was very good at communication. Lounge, kitchen and dining rooms were compact but that is the apartments design and no fault of the host. Some of basics need attending to such as no tea towels or paper towels provided. The kettle leaks when pouring and needs to be replaced. The lighting in the living area needs to be upgraded as it is very dark and a new comfortable couch would help. These are not criticisms but for the cost of accommodation in Rome, comfort of the guests is paramount.

The apt missed on the little touches that would make this a more charming stay. The host was in touch but not exceptional. He offered us transit options at the very last minute. He couldn’t personally handle the check in which is ok, but didn’t even provide a guide book to the rental.

• Daniela (8/5): Very good - The place is amazing and well positioned. It is close to all major objectives. The kitchen was incredible. It had a dishwasher, toaster, a good functional stove, and complete cutlery. Plenty of space for preparing the meal and dining. The hot water had problems. It could not be fixed during our stay--5 nights. It ran for like 2-3 minutes and then turned cold. We needed to wait 15 min to start again for another 2-3 min of hot water. The apartment is on the 1st floor on a narrow street, so it is rather dark inside, not much natural light. We had misfortune to have very noisy neighbors. They slammed the door and spoke loudly (not the host fault, of course).

• Anonymous (9/5): We enjoyed staying in the apartment and can highly recommend it. - No breakfast included. The apartment was well equipped and clean. The lift was a bonus to transport heavy suitcases. The beds were comfortable and clean. The host was very helpful, even with transfer arrangements and other recommendations. The location is excellent and close to all sites of importance. No complaints. A microwave oven would have been nice.

• James (2/5): Good location, but the place could really do with some facility upgrade. - Location was very good, close to metro and places to eat. Mini-mart is just next door. Facility was not the best. When we tried to boil water in the evening for some hot drink, there was a power outage. Unfortunately because it was past mid-night, we couldn’t get Angelo to advise us on how to get the ELCB up and running so it was a whole night of no electricity I.e. mobile phones cannot be charged, and wifi router not working so no wifi connection. The problem was likewise fixed in the morning when we got connected with Angelo. The second night was also a disaster as the speakers in the apartment was making noise whenever there was a message coming in on the mobile. I was told to move the mobile charger to another location and the problem was likewise fixed. Showers flowrate was slow and temperature was difficult to regulate. These somewhat got fixed too later, but I guess for fure visits to Rome, I would probably book a newer place.

It felt like we were visiting someone's home. The master bedroom shower hot water would last only a couple of minutes, then it would become cold. A little loud for people in the smaller bedroom that is located close to the entrance to the apartment. You can hear doors closing and opening in the hallway. It is what it is, I don't think the host can do anything about it. The positives outweighs the negatives.

• Steven (10/5): Yes, we would certainly stay here again. - So far in our 5-week European journey this has been the nicest place we have stayed. It is in a good location, very tastefully decorated, has a lift, a washer (no dryer), and a fully equipped kitchen. The two baths ended the toilet sequence discussions among the parties in our trip. Appreciated the extra pillows and comforters. Several good restaurants and convenience stores nearby. A short walk to the Metro station. My only real complaint was with the master bath shower. There seemed to be no rhyme nor reason in relation to the water control; you had scalding hot or ice cold, nothing in between. The entry door is quite narrow, an issue for luggage or if you’re plus sized. No microwave, but we never missed it either.

• Jacqueline (6/5): Unfortunately the bed in the master bedroom was so bad I didn’t get much sleep at all during our stay, however, The host - The property itself was beautiful and perfectly located to all the major sights. The bed is the master bedroom was very squeaky and uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the lounge, seperate to my partner. The master bed was far from the excellent comfort and quality provided in the second bedroom used by our children.

• Peter (7/5): Good - Location is great. The owner organised a taxi from the airport and the taxi driver coordinated reception on arrival at the apartment. Greater attention to detail is required in the maintenance of the property. Light bulbs not working, sluggish drains, very loose toilet seat. Really needs a rethink on the furniture. The couch in the kitchen / living area was a back breaker. TV which delivers only Italian channels is of little use to visitors not fluent in the language.

It has a elevator which was great. I booked this thinking the living area would suit 4 people comfortably and it was too cramped. I also booked because it had a washing machine but it was broken, which after travelling for several weeks was just not right it should of been fixed.

The owner made an effort with decorating the apartment so that it had character. 2 bathrooms also which was a bonus. The price you pay for a great city location is noise. Would not recommend if you are a light sleeper. Noise from neighbours, the lift and from the street outside. Also washing machine wasn’t working but is being fixed.

• Dr (1/5): This property should NEVER be listed by Booking.com! - NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING!!!!! IT WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE WE TRIED TO FLY HOME EARLY!!! THAT WAS NOT AFFORDABLE!!! WE TRIED TO MOVE TO ANOTHER LOCATION!!! THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE TIME WE NEEDED!!! TRIED TO GET HELP FROM THE LANDLORD!!!! HE DID NOTHING TO HELP US NOR RESPOND WITH HELP!! HE SAID HE WAS NOT IN ROME!!! Incredibly noisy - outside and in. Had to call the police one night after several nights of parties kept us up! Place was horribly dirty and WE ended up cleaning it. Landlord would not come back to address issues. Wasn’t a “city view”, but an alley view and the other items they listed were not true!!
