Guest Reviews
- Aleksandra (8/5): Great for short stays - Amazing location, really, that was the reason we chose to stay here, we never used any transport around the city. The host is lovely, always responsive, provided great instructions for check in and was very understanding of our flight delay. There is also a good map with top 15 attractions marked in the apartment, useful for first time visitors. It is indeed a converted basement / ground floor, can be noisy, the bathroom is moldy and smelly, and ceiling in one gallery is too short to stand up. However, we read all this and were prepared, these things are not really fixable. What can be improved though is the kitchen sink, mattress and pillows, and the wifi - it is only good near the entrance. We had a good stay anyway.

- Tsvetomira (10/5): - The location is excellent. Anna is a great host, kind and responsive. THere is no such thing
- Mara (8/5): Very good -
- Sheldon (6/5): Excellent location and value, lovely host! - Unbeatable location in the middle of all the main sights of Rome and just across the bridge from he restaurant district Trastevere! Our host was fantastic with local recommendations and a place to store our luggage before our flight. The bathroom was a bit gross, there’s no window which makes it difficult to air out which I imagine is the reason for the smell and mold. The kitchen was decently equipped aside from a spatula to use in the pan.
- Samara (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gunnar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ah (8/5): Very good - Location Bathroom
- Austin (7/5): Good - Good location and nice staff that was accommodating to our check in and check out time The bathroom was the main issue as it had ventilation issues causing a moldy smell throughout the stay. The shower door wasn’t very tight which caused large leaks outside the shower no matter what we tried to do to stop the leakage.
- Nikolette (7/5): Irony is it’s called the lofts and we were in the cellars. Not draughty or cold - Very well situated, in a a quiet location. Within walking distance to everywhere.
The hostess was great and explained the tourist places on an excellent map on the wall.
Plenty of hot water. It was too small for us. Very little natural light.
- Sommerdyk (8/5): We loved the location and our host answered all texts vr - Location Central to vatican coliseum forum The apartment had no doors between rooms. Upper loft was less than 5’-3” high. Not great for a 6 ft Canadian.
- Andrijana (8/5): Best location - Great location, clean, apartment has everything you need for short vacation. Good value for money, The owner, Anna, help us with some informations about transport, best restorans, place of interest.
- Jack (2/5): Misrepresented and not fit for purpose - Excellent location, clean, easy to check-in. If you like disappointment and health & safety violations, this is the place for you. There are two fans, but only one works. Some of the sockets don’t work. The TV didn’t work. There is no coffee machine. A jerry-rigged hairdryer in the bathroom with exposed wires is an accident waiting to happen. The shower floods. The WiFi is slow. The interior stairs are painful to navigate, especially if you are tall or have mobility issues - they are very narrow and have obstacles at head height. In the dark they are dangerous, especially for young children. The mattresses are thin pieces of foam and only one of them can fit adults. This flat/corridor is not suitable for more than three (short) people: there are only three chairs, and only four spoons in the “kitchen” (for five people). We didn’t sleep and were desperate to get away. Being hunted for the city tax when we were trying to see the city (and not sitting in the dingy room constantly checking our messages) didn’t help either.

- Bronislava (10/5): Excellent location, amazing staff that welcomed us and made us feel at home at Lofts In Rome. - Location is perfect for touring Rome.
Anna is an amazing host, she answered all of our emails before we came to Rome and made sure everything was top notch. Anna was also available to answer and help with anything that we needed during our stay.
Thank You Anna for making us feel at Home at Lofts In Rome. The hot water issue while taking a shower.
We had to wait for the boiler to heat up after each shower until someone else had to take a shower.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (3/5): Disappointing and poor value. - Great location. The open plan bedrooms and the restricted headspace made the bedrooms limited in their function. You can’t have the light on in the living room if you expect people to sleep
In the mezzanine bedroom this has really restricted her height). Attention to detail is not great. Batteries not working for air con, tv not working, issues with plumbing (and space) in bathroom, a very uncomfortable second bed - needs a new mattress and not two thin ones stacked on top of the floor.
- Lisa (7/5): Great location, liked the upstairs loft. - The location was great. As were many cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. We were within a 15-20 minute walk of the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Tivoli Fountain.
We were traveling with our 18 year old son, so having the loft was nice. Although the loft wasn’t two separate bedrooms, the beds were divided by a half wall and some stairs, so we felt we had our own sleeping spaces. My son also loved being in “His room” when we were relaxing.
The A/C worked great and there was a dehumidifier in the bathroom!! That was wonderful!!! The check in process was poor. We had arranged to meet someone to let us in to the loft at 4:30pm. We’d just arrived from a day of traveling, and walked 15 minutes in 38 degree Celsius heat. We found the property and someone came to the door asking if I was Anna. I told her my name (not Anna) and she said she was waiting for someone else. After waiting for several minutes we sat down on the ground close to the door waiting for the person I had been messaging with through booking.com. I was never told the owner’s name so I couldn’t even say who we were waiting for. I did send a message through booking.com at 4:30pm to say we had arrived at the property, but there was no response. 30 minutes later, the lady who was looking for Anna came over and said she was sorry but we were the people she was supposed to be meeting, but due to a misunderstanding she thought she was supposed to be meeting someone else.
The property advertises a wash machine, but our loft did not have one. That was disappointing. We ended up taking two big backpacks of laundry to the laundromat.
The toilet was constantly making noise and we had to hold the button down for a while to get it to flush.
- Vanja (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (8/5): It was very nice! - the location, the beds, the living room, the AC. The toilet and the shower need some improvement
- Eszter (8/5): Very good - The location of the studio is really good. Every famous attraction is availabe on foot with less than 20 mins.
Anna was nice and helpful. Based on the pictures we were afraid of the absence of a normal window, but it was ok and the studio was clean.
- Ramūnas (10/5): Rome Rome Rome again... - Excellent location, close to everything, just across the bridge is Trastevere which is amazing gastronomical experience. Few hundred meters and you can enjoy Trevi fountain, Navona piazza and etc. Definitely recommend. -
- Baljit (7/5): I enjoyed my stay - location and staff none
- Karolina (10/5): Great communication with the Lady who rented the apartment. Thank You - Really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was great location - 12 mins walk to Pantheon, 30 mins walk to Vatican City and 30 mins walk to Colosseum.
- Matthee (8/5): Perfect location for 2 travelers wanting to stay out and see everything - You will find all you need is right around you. Just across the bridge is Trastevere with all the food and wine you could need. Everything is within 2km if you want to walk, but the busses stop really close so you won't need to walk anywhere if you don't want to. Cute flat, neighbours were really loud, especially late at night,
- Karl (8/5): Very good - The apartment is located centraly making it easy to explore all parts of rome without using the subway or buss. The host Anna is helpfull and responds quickly. I would definitaly recomend this place because of its price and location.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
