• Maria JOSÉ (10/5): - El lloc on està ubicat l apartament és realment molt especial. Estàs a dins de les muralles del castell. L apartament guarda detalls originals de la casa antiga. Per contra el bany està tot reformat i és molt gran. Vam passar una mica de fred fora de les habitacions però repetiríem sens dubte.

• Usher (9/5): Superb - Large and clean apartment within the castle walls. Very comfortable beds. Flexible times for arrival and departure. Host helped us with many things, including arranging taxis and a trip to Appolonia. While the location is excellent in terms of being within castle walls, which is great for sightseeing after the groups have left, we hadn't realised it was so high and steep and that walking within the grounds is difficult because of slippery and uneven stones. My husband doesn't walk well, so taxus up and down always needed and care when walking around.

• Lesly (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house, inside the citidal of Berat. Friendly local cat. Lots of restaurants and pleasant bars. Great fun. Bit of a tricky drive up to the castle and difficult to park.
• Louise (8/5): Very good - Dhimitri's Mum was lovely and bought a new electric kettle for us as there was not one. The apartment is in the castle walls on top of a steep hill. There are a number of restaurants close by we liked Temi and klear . It iS a long walk down to the town, taxi back was only €7 so worth it.
• Quentin (8/5): Views from the castle are stunning. - Superb location in the citadel, and the apartment was well, if simply equipped. When the tour and school parties had left it was idyllic. As other reviews have mentioned, Restaurant Klea is excellent - simple, rustic but friendly and good. The description states several times that the property has a patio. There is no outside sitting area at all.
• Kate (9/5): Superb - Location inside castle walls, comfort of the bedrooms. No heating anywhere (bathroom, kitchen) except the bedrooms. Made it difficult to use other parts of the house during cold weather.

• Lou (9/5): Well-equiped apartment in historic castle complex - Very clean and very complete apartment. The hosts made sure everything you need, was present and was working well. The apartment is located INSIDE the Berat castle area, so of course it is an old, historic, monumental building with big walls and small windows. The address was correct but the link to the Booking.com map and to Google maps did not show the exact street because it is a narrow pedestrian path. However, you can park your car only 100 meters away. To find the place by car, navigate to Rruga Muzak Topia. At the roundabout, take the first exit towards the castle, Rruga Shkembi. You can park there or you drive through the two entrance ports of the castle. If you take the wrong exit on the roundabout, you are taken down to the river and center and you will have problems finding the castle back.
• Paul (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly go back again! Recommended for sure! - Location was excellent. When the castle ground were empty of a night it was quiet and lovely to walk around. A great location. The restaurant called "Klea" was great and the owner very helpful and generous! The owners of the apartment were very helpful and in hand if needed. Extra heating source. It did get cooler in the evenings so an oil filled mobile radiator would of been appreciated. It had aircons for heating. Also the bed were noisy when turning over our getting up in the night. Maybe a bit of tightening of the screws would help? And using quilts instead of sheets and blankets as it is more comfortable to sleep in.
