Guest Reviews
- Niamh (10/5): Lovely experience! Gorgeous characterful boat! - Loved the decor and the character. Clean and cosy. Lovely view of the river. Staff were lovely. Pretty spot by the river once you enter the gate. The location is under a bridge and concrete road. Hard to find and also doesn’t look so appealing. I wouldn’t feel safe alone at night. The traffic can be a bit noisy at night. Others mentioned the noise of the boats that pass, but that wasn’t a problem for us.
- John (5/5): Too noisy a location - Place was beautiful Place was really noisy
- Mayada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gags (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful houseboat with amazing views and very calm and cosy rooms. The whole team was so helpful and lovely. Recommendations for restaurants around were very useful.
- Elena (9/5): Superb -
- Katarzyna (9/5): Unique experience - Very unique and unusual place, beautifuly decorated * The owner is very nice and helpful, speaks excellent English * Everything was clean and well prepared for our arrival * Attention to detail, i.e. ear plugs, welcome drinks, chocolates, good tea selection * There are some nice restaurants within the walking distance
Overall it’s a very special property and the negative points are quite minor, just describing them takes some space so it looks like there was so much to complain about, which isn’t a case. If you don’t have problems with sea sickness - yes, the boat is really a boat - you won’t regret experiencing such a place. Very loud during the night as party boats pass by on a regular basis - not sure if soundproof windows would help because it’s a boat so probably there is nothing but the earplugs that can be done about it * No hair dryer in the room - apparently it was available outside but I wasn’t able to go out and search for it with wet hair during winter so I had to dry my hair with the A/C * There was no bottled water in the room - I’d be fine to be charged for it, if needed - and since the Egyptian tap water is full of chlorine, we had to go out and search for a store * The location of a bathroom/toilet is very unusual because it’s a walk-through room - when you need some privacy, you have to lock in ppl in the respective rooms * Very weak internet, we tested both options
- Alice (9/5): An authentic and stunning home away from home in Cairo - The Houseboat65 is simply a dream! The interior design is stunning, the location is super convenient and the staff is incredibly friendly. The Egyptian breakfast they offer is delicious. I was expecting to have our room cleaned every day but I had to specifically request for daily cleaning as on some days we had some leftover food I didn’t know where to put.
- Gönül (9/5): Wonderful historic place to stay as an experience and great hosts and communication! - First of all, you are staying on a house which is actually a boat that is fully built up of wood! Our hosts were amazing, through whatsapp it's always possible to reach out to them. They have the perfect guidebook for you before you arrive, including every information you might possibly need during your trip. For late at night or early in the morning there is a guard which helps you checking in, your rooms, keys and etc. He was very helpful (thank you Karim!). It was at first hard to tell our uber where the exact place is (because we also didn't know), we couldnt find the entrance, however it is right under the overpass, so the car should stop just before the end of the overpass. We stayed at 2 different rooms; the Nile Loft and the Glasshouse and both were very beautifully designed and was like an airbnb (including a water dispenser which was a very big + for us). They helped us whenever we need something from the market, and did whatever we asked for the sake of cleanliness :) in total, I would love to stay there again. You have to accept that you are on the Nile and there are mosquitoes and flies around. Although our hosts made the cleaning after we said that there are mosquitoes around the room; they can get inside when you open the door or when you open the balcony. However they didn't bite us at all and there are sprays inside the room if you need further protection. And I would love to hang out at the balcony more but bcs of them we didn't hang out there much :) Still, it didn't really effect us much :)
- Marco (9/5): Everything was perfect. If we ever return to Cairo we will definitely try to book this place again -
- Hamza (10/5): Exceptional - Great atmosphere. The studio room was very clean with ood amneties. Great terrace with a view on the nile and the city. Just the noise of the boats passing by with loud songs (party boats). But one could sleep well with the provided earplugs !
- Mital (7/5): Good -
- Amr (9/5): Experiencing the Nile and taking in Cairo up close and personal. - That was our first time staying at a houseboat and we loved the experience! You feel like you’re living in an alternate timeline or a classic novel.
The place is carefully designed with attention to the smallest details in terms of aesthetics and comfort. The staff was friendly and helpful and Marie and Nada from the managing team were very responsive and kind, making sure we had a comfortable stay. The place by itself is an experience that you find yourself unwilling to leave and explore the city!
- Hendrik (10/5): Exceptional - Loved every minute of it 😍 Super cute apartment. All the little details
- Sheriff (8/5): Overall it was a unique experience and would stay the again for a few nights - Location on the Nile and zamalek area Shower pressure weak and warm.
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monika (10/5): Amazing service. - Our room was beautiful with a wooden bathroom and a direct view of the nile. I had lost my wallet in a taxi, they tracked the driver down, and helped me retrieve it. Amazing people, amazing place, equals amazing experience. We had no complaints, they went over and beyond to help us.
- Rina (10/5): Unique and wonderful stay - Beautiful setting and amazing decor, we absolutely loved staying here! We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and felt safe throughout. Great communication with hosts too. The only thing to note is that it can be a little bit noisy at times, from the nearby road and from other guests in the other apartments.
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Khaled (9/5): Superb -
- Ghada (10/5): Magical stay - Topped our expectations. Will definitely be coming back ❤️
- Alia (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Houseboat 65! My stay at Houseboat 65 was nothing short of amazing. The location is perfect—peacefu -
- Paulina (10/5): Thank you for everything, we had an excellent time :) -
- Esra (9/5): Superb - The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They go the extra mile to help us. The location is amazing and beautiful. It looks like a movie set. Just beautiful. The only « issue » is that it can get noisy with the boats sailing around, but it didnt really affect us.
- Juan (10/5): What a treasure in Cairo, an absolute gem. Marie, Nada and Mahmoud were super super kind and welcoming and made me feel - The view, the mattress, the pillows, the room, the breakfast, the people, the location, everything.
- Gary (10/5): Could not have wished for better and we were sorry to leave. - Absolutely so helpful every step of the way and kept surprising us with so many extras Nothing, could not fault the property or the hosts
- Raegine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eulalie (9/5): Amazing and buzzing place ! - The place is truly unique, we really love the decoration of the flat and felt so privileged to be on the Nile. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location within the city is great. Tho it did not bother us, as it’s part of the Caire experience I guess, the area is really noisy.
- Suzanne (10/5): Totally unique gem in the heart of noisy bustling Cairo. - Absolutely everything! Houseboat 65 is a stunning place to stay! It’s quite surreal watching the river traffic on the Nile River go by. From the fishermen in the mornings to the vibrant party cruises at night, this accomodation is totally unique.
But it is the AMAZING STAFF who make your stay a truly memorable experience. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone takes such care to look after us, their lucky guests.
I travel all over the world and I can honestly say that Houseboat 65 is THE ONLY place to stay in Cairo! 15-20 minutes walk to cafes and shops etc., but I like to walk so not a problem for me! Lots of taxis going past all the time too.
- Julie (10/5): Another amazing Egyptian experience to add to your memories bank. ❤️ - Marie collected us from the airport and drove us straight to our lovely spacious ground floor apartment on the moored boat. It’s behind a gate on the street level then you walk down steps to the shoreline through a garden sitting area. She informed us all about the space and introduced us to Mohamad who stays near the boat 24hrs. What a wonderful way to end our 3 weeks travelling all of Egypt. It’s close to some great cafes and shopping strip even at night. We felt very safe as 3 women walking without a guide finally. You are on the Nile with many boats travelling past so good gel earplugs are highly recommend.
- Richard (7/5): Could be great but a couple areas for improvement - the view and location is great. very tasteful decoration poor water pressure made it difficult to shower. Housekeeper didn't make up room even though requested. Caretaker/porter unable to be contacted on two occassion. access to the property is via steep stairs, which were very difficult to manage with our bags without assistance. this was a serious issue which is why i cannot recommend even though other aspects of the property are amazing.
- Marie-adele (9/5): Unique stay and AMAZING host! - Houseboat65 in Cairo was an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—checking in was incredibly easy, and check-out was even easier. The host was outstanding, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She answered all my questions and provided helpful tips, making me feel right at home.
The rooms themselves are cute and cozy, though on the smaller side, they are fully furnished and very comfortable. Waking up on a houseboat with views of the Nile was such a unique experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming, well-managed stay! The biggest issue is the noise, which I noticed during my stay and saw other guests had mentioned as well. It can be a bit disruptive, especially at night, though I personally didn’t find it too annoying. The unique atmosphere and cozy rooms helped make up for it. While it’s not the quietest spot, if you’re looking for a unique experience and can handle a bit of noise, it’s still worth considering.
- Ellick (10/5): A lovely place to stay and they do your laundry for free. You can't beat that! - They do your laundry for free! It was a little pricey per night but I feel it was well worth it.
- Isabel (8/5): A unique stay on the Nile - A very unusual stay in a beautiful old houseboat! It is very unique and the owners have kitted out and decorated the place beautifully. The little kitchen has everything you need. Small touches like robes, slippers, toiletries, fresh fruit, ample drinking water were appreciated. The breakfast was very big and tasty. Sitting on the deck watching the boats on the Nile is unforgettable. One of the hosts met me and was very helpful with information and also responded quickly via WhatsApp when I had queries. The guard and cleaning lady were also very helpful with bags and laundry. You should be aware that of course the boat is on water so it does rock and this may make you feel dizzy/queasy (but the hosts kindly provide a medicine box with anti-sickness meds if needed!) The party boats can be loud at night but it's all part of Cairo's charm, so cannot call really fault that! (and ear plugs are provided) As a lone female traveller, the entrance is in a slightly dark spot by the highway which may not feel the most secure/inviting after dark. However I didn't have any trouble and Ubers were able to pick me up and drop me off no problem. The hosts also provided a very helpful video to show where to find the place and check in, so they have everything covered. I might suggest that breakfast be included for the high cost of the room.
- Tamer (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamed (9/5): Lovely and different experiences within the Nile. - The hospitality (Marie Poala and the team), the view, the authenticity, the experience. Needed more shades and noise isolation.
Better entrance from the street.
- Tanya (6/5): I think there are much better options in Cairo to stay for this price - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rapid replies to requests and in general very helpful Not really good value for money. Location is not optimal (hard to reach downtown Cairo by foot and far from a lot of restaurants and bars). Garden was under construction so you basically walking in the construction plant with no light in the evening and we got our feets in fresh cement because it was impossible to see anything. On overall not good value for money. Rooms were small
- Emad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fatima-ezzahra (10/5): Exceptional - I absolutely loved everything about my experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the unique charm and serene atmosphere of this floating haven. The houseboat itself is beautifully designed, combining modern comforts with traditional Egyptian elements. The rooms was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, offering stunning views of the Nile. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the river and watching the sunset from the deck were truly unforgettable moments.
The hospitality at Houseboat65 was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, providing personalized service with a warm and friendly demeanor. Nothing
- Amy (10/5): Everything was fantastic, it was like going back in time to a different life! - Staying on the Nile was amazing, we hardly wanted to leave - it was so cool and breezy on the deck and so hot everywhere else! I really could live on this houseboat.
- Maximiliano (9/5): Great place to stay in a priginal way in Cairo - Our stay here was short but nice in the small room with direct view to the Nile from bed!
The staff is very kind, Marie showed us the biggest room and that was amazing!!! She has been very careful with communication always available, even when we arrived late about 3am, still was a big challenge to find the place address, a better sign could be a good improvement.
We truly recommend this experience in a boathouse! Address instructions and no visible sign.
- Sandra (9/5): We loved this place.being on the water watching the boats go bye and chilling on the hammock -
- Witham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing boat apartament in a very nice neighbourhood in Cairo.
The design and attention to details really make a difference in this apartment and make it a great relaxation place after visiting the busy streets of Cairo.
Besides the apartment being awesome, the hosts are very friendly and recommended us great places to eat and visit and also helped us with a very good priced driver service
- Lesley (10/5): Stayed for 2 days and loved every minute of it.. The one bed apartment on the moored boat was very spacious, well design -
- Sindiswa (9/5): Superb -
- Ghadah (10/5): Great three day retreat -
- Robbie (7/5): Great stay - The staff are amazing.
The view of the Nile is spectacular.
The decor and furnishings are beautiful.
Owners are responsive - 24/7 WhatsApp.
The WiFi is great. The water pressure is bad. Some days no water coming out. Had to wait for a while.
The location is a bit awkward for Uber drivers and food delivery to find. Slightly intimidating at night. More lights on the street/under the bridge would be good.
- Irene (8/5): Very good -
- Cg (10/5): This place definitely will make you feel so much more better. It's magical. - We enjoyed the room so much, it made us speechless walking in and enjoying the view through the windows and the balcony. At night it was as stunning as it is during the mornings, it really makes you feel at home. Everything was clean and we were greeted very positively by the worker(s).
The communication was perfect, especially adding me into a Whatsapp Group giving us more information about the location or when I had any questions I could just text them. Upton arrival they handled our luggage really carefully before the check-in time.
They're really trustworthy and professional by handling our luggage we even went out to eat at a restaurant nearby called Pottery Café which is a 5 minute walk from Houseboat65.
When entering our room we were starstruck of how beautiful everything was. We were greeted by one of the workers whom even helped us carrying our luggage into our room, with welcoming drinks.
We were given keys and went to check out the place as our jaws dropped, the room is so beautiful, everything is clean and the view just makes you want to stay there forever. (They even have a AC, so you don't have to worry about the warmth)
The location is insanely amazing, it's a 8 minute walk to the Cairo Tower. And if you want to shop in Zamalek it's a walkable distance from the Houseboat65. (We did it a few times and got coffee from TBS on our way there.)
When we had to leave, we asked the workers if we could leave our luggage behind for some time and they didn't mind at all, without us realising it took us 5-hours last time shopping in Zamalek, they didn't mind and still held onto our luggage carefully. One of the workers helped us once again with our luggage to move to the street since once our Uber arrived. (They didn't mind us hanging at their garden to wait for the Uber either.)
The place was magical, there is nothing else like this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Definitely will recommend Houseboat65 to everyone! Even though everything was perfect, during the night it can be a bit cold we would've loved it if there were blankets at the stay.
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amr (10/5): Exceptional - View, amenities, location
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was excellent, the apartment was clean and amazingly furnished. It felt very peaceful
- Simone (10/5): Beautiful and homely stay on the Nile - The Houseboat is a fantastic place to explore Zamalek from. Right on the Nile, we got a glimpse of life on the river from our sunny balcony. The owners are extremely helpful and make it very accessible to ask anything. From the thoughtfully curated decorations to the pdf filled with information, you can tell so much love has been put into this place.
- James (10/5): Fantastic experience. Highly recommend this house boat to anyone. Great location! - Everything was excellent.
- Angel (7/5): Enjoy the boat experience! - Superb service, they sent me all the info for a smooth checkin. The guard helped with my bags through the stairs. The owners were always ready to help by whatsapp. Zalamek tower is walking distance. Good place if you want a different experience, I had a good stay. Most services are there, however, never forget it is a big boat! It was a cabin boat, be prepared for water movement, reduced space and odor to fish. Also, the entrance is hidden on the back of a bridge. The popular resturants and bars are on the other side of the river/island, the houseboat is on the Giza side.
- Mintz (10/5): I had a wonderful time at Houseboat65 and would stay there again! - Everything, once I figured out how to find it by myself. The breakfast is great, the view is amazing- I love watching the crew practice on the Nile on the morning and even the party boats at night. Zamalek is a nice, safe place for sole female tourists to visit alone.
- Alexandre (10/5): Unique cairo experience - Incredible staff very welcoming. The place inside the boat is amazing all in wood just in front of the Nile. Because the house float it can move a bit with some waves but we slept even better rocked by the nile. The bedding was very confortable and the breakfast amazing!
It's a truly unique experience in cairo. Nothing to say
- Jennie (10/5): Unique tranquil luxury close to everything in Cairo - It was even better than the photos. Our own oasis out of the hustle and bustle of the Cairo streets. Easily accessible by Uber and a walk into Zamalek centre. The balcony for morning coffee and the lounge area for chill out afternoons were such a welcome luxury!
Very well decorated, very clean, extremely comfy bed, huge bathroom and incredible communication throughout the whole stay. We could order food and wine to the property and could use the houseboat telephone with immediate response from the owner.
We will definitely stay again. Thank you so much!! Nothing to not like
- Helenhowardhollywood (10/5): Nile River living, amazing experience!!!
In - This was the best place I've stayed in many years of travelling!! Amazing home on the Nile, wonderful owners too It was perfect, wish I had stayed longer
- Zahraa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect
Very recommended for those who love to experience some authentic culture filled stay. Nothing
- Mcfarlane (9/5): Peaceful, calm little Oasis in Zamalek - Great location , walk easily to shops, cafes , sites . Lovely neighbourhood. Loved being on the river
- Yang (9/5): Happy with our choice of staying here. - Very nice location and it's fabulous views to look at the Nile river. The host team was extremely helpful and responsive. We have had a few issues with the shower. I think the place is quite old and not got enough pressure for the shower water, although they tried to do something with the shower head. I don't think it worked.
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - Really wonderful room and service
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful old houseboat with real character and charm. Not the nicest area of the city but walkable to good restaurants etc.
- Amir (5/5): Passable -
- Cindy (8/5): Want a unique adventure in Cairo? Stay here. Relax. Enjoy. - Mohammed met us at the gate and carried our super heavy luggage downstairs to the houseboat. We don’t speak the same language but didn’t have a bit of trouble communicating. That guy is strong! Our room was nice, but that view! Sitting on our balcony directly on the Nile was AMAZING! There was always something going on in the river. It was a fabulous place to sit and soak it in. I’m in Cairo, on the Nile! The location is fantastic and everything is nearby. Uber is wonderful and inexpensive here! Order food. Hang out on balcony. I was a little taken aback when we first arrived and our car dropped us off literally under a bridge. I’m not sure what I was expecting but in florida, under a bridge is not usually a great place. But when Mohammed opened the gate and we saw the stairs, well they were really treacherous. stairs are not my friend and A rope is not really a hand rail! But we came for the adventure right! If we wanted the norm we would have stayed at a basic hotel. Next time I will get the biggest room! Ours was adequate size but not roomy. It worked for us but I did want that hammock on the big balcony!
- Oleg (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): A truely unique stay in this amazing city! - An accomodation with history and character, style and cosiness.
We loved everything about it. The great location, the unique style, the amazing hosts and their team, waking up with this incredible view!
- Victor (8/5): Very good - This boat was a really good surprise, so cool to sleep on the Nile. The living room is very pleasant. It's very noisy, a lot of traffic on the bridge just above the boat.
Also a bit remote from the heart of Zamalek.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean. Friendly staff . The shampoo and soap smelled amazing . Initially hard to find , but good instructions
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect and unique! Absolutely worth it to stay here!!!! - Wow! What a special place!! I absolutely loved staying here. The decor is so tasteful and elegant and with all the comfort! I spent a long time in the sun room on the sun lounger and various sofas. The bathroom is beautifully designed also and I enjoyed long baths ! Very thoughtful touches like the maps and information about local cafes, restaurants, galleries, sights etc. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful! The staff are wonderful - kind, friendly, sincere and helpful! It was a perfect stay. I definitely recommend this place !! Can be a bit noisy with passing river traffic, but they provide ear plugs which is very thoughtful. I actually liked the noise as it was just passing and felt very immersive into the river culture.
- Ildo (6/5): Pleasant - I love the atmosphere of the place, the decor is basic i expected something more connect with the houseboat the big problem is the noise a the price to expensive for the experience
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dazlcaz (8/5): Really enjoyed. Was a great way to end our Egypt holiday. - This place is so cute. Loved being right on the Nile. Having a washing machine was a bonus. And the breakfast was fab ! Tad noisy at night with the party boats going up and down the Nile. But they supply earplugs so really not that much of an issue. Also hard to find but I’m told they are rectifying that.
- Sonia (10/5): Once in a life time experience - Beautiful location Everything was great
- Amani (10/5): Top of my trips - The best self check in process i have ever made comparing to Europe

- Devinka (10/5): Beautifully decorated houseboat on the Nile - Stayed in the Loft Room which was eclectically and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches such as bedroom slippers, shampoo and body wash, and speaker to connect your phone for music.
The hosts were super responsive the entire time and we communicated via WhatsApp.
Entry to the houseboat is via a locked gate and entry into the room was very simple.
Felt very safe in the houseboat as there is a guard within the property at all times who also kindly helped us with our bags.
The houseboat is located within a few minutes drive to the shops, Civilization museum, and Khan El Khalil market so it was very easy and cheap to get Ubers everywhere.
- Cindy (10/5): Most perfect stay - From the very beginning of our stay, Paola and Jerome made sure we could get to their houseboat without any struggle. The checkin was smooth and super organised as Mahmoud was there to help our taxi driver find the place and even carry our luggages. Special mention to him who helped us out ordering food as well, he is amazing !
Talking about the place. It’s very simple, it’s the best we stayed at in Egypt, it’s unique, the interior design is just above everything we’ve seen and the attention to details is just way beyond the egyptian standards. If you want a true, amazing experience you have to try it. We loved staying there and wish we could have stayed longer.
Plus everything is provided and the hosts are always reachable on whatsapp making it feel easy to always find a solution.
I am so glad we ended our trip with this wonder on the Nile, it was truly special.
Thank you so much for having put so much efforts and thoughts in keeping this place so perfect and genuine ! Nothing.
- Jodi (9/5): Wonderful spot on the Nile - I loved waking up on the Nile every morning. My favorite thing to do was sit on the balcony with a cup of tea every morning. The property caretakers are great and very thoughtful. The location felt safe, even though it was a little weird to find at first. Luckily, I was sent an amazing video that led me right to the entrance. They were very responsive to any questions I had through a WhatsApp chat And I would recommend to anybody coming to Cairo. The stairs are a bit steep with no handrails to get to the property, so care must be taken when coming and going, especially if carrying luggage. I wish there was another mirror in the room closer to the window, or better light in the bathroom for putting on make up.
- Abdulaziz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harriet (9/5): Great unique place to stay - Such a wonderful chance to stay on the Nile, Mo the guard and all the other staff were so friendly and, even though we had the smallest unit available, it was still super well equipped. Access to washing machine which was a huge bonus when on a long trip The Nile can be rather noisy with music boats…the provision of complimentary ear plugs was very appreciated!
- Mogamat (8/5): Very good -
- Al (9/5): Wonderful authentic experience on the Nile. - Sleeping on the Nile As with any Houseboat I suppose, walls are thin.
- Raoul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krisazab (10/5): Exceptional - This a piece of heaven in Cairo. Highly recommended! Everything was perfect!
- Ghada (10/5): Memorable - The houseboat is perfect from all aspects. The decoration is unique peace of art in every single detail. The view is amazing , you just spend the whole day in the houseboat and it is never enough. You feel comfortable and relaxed.would like to thank Mr Jonny for his house and for the kind and cheerful reception. Non
- Majd (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing facility with themed furniture boho artistic vibe! Much recommend as visiting the pyramids.
You dont have to deal with cafes and restaurants by the Nile to enjoy the view you can just stay at the boat even working remotely is a very nice idea specially the balcony
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Room was amazing Nothing

- Caroline (4/5): Disappointing - The owners are nice and willing to help. I would not recommend the hotel. The room we stayed is extremely small and urgently needs renovation. The cleaning in general is not good. The hotel is not well maintained at all. Strong smell of the Nile constantly on your face. With the same amount of money it’s possible to stay at better places.
- Veronika (10/5): Awesome place in the middle of Cairo - This place is a gem in the middle of Cairo. We had an amazing time staying on the houseboat, enjoyed the beautiful views in the middle of the lively city. The atmosphere is truly authentic and unique in its kind, you feel like you’re back in time. The hosts were welcoming and kind. Thank you very much for welcoming us! It is a bit challenging to find it, but we received a video from Jerome that explained all the details perfectly.
- Crystal (8/5): It’s an interesting experience - The host was responded promptly on WhatsApp.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck Nike watching. It can get noisy during sleeping ours
- Rachel (10/5): The most unique and relaxing stay in Cairo. - For a loud busy city, this houseboat was much quieter than expected (provided earplugs were not needed). The large gorgeous rooms were comfortable. The manager was so kind and helpful. The guard insured our arrival was safe and carried our bags. The ambiance of the party boats going by and the teams rowing brought life to the river while we lounged in the hammocks, gently rocked by the soft waves! Superb! I didn't like having to leave. I wish I had more time.
- Bassma (9/5): Superb - I would definitely revisit the place.. all by the nile, clean, cozy and simple! the location is close to most of the great restaurants in Zamalek.. only a5-10 mins ride with uber. Everything was perfect.
