Guest Reviews
- Krystian (10/5): -
- Bojidar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is very spacious with two bedrooms and we liked a balcony with a little table and chairs overlooking the neighbourhood.
The best part of our stay was waking up to an amazing view of St Peter's Basilica! The apartment is on the top floor and the view is fantastic.
The location is very convenient- 10 minutes walk from the Vatican and St Peter's and Trionfale market is just across the road for local food, pizza, fruit and vegetables. The apartment is 10 minutes walk from Ottaviano metro station which will take you to historical centre in 10-15 minutes.
Luca, the host, is very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Thank you, we had the most amazing stay!
- Tim (7/5): Light and shadows - There are two main reasons for booking this flat: The great view from the windows and the fact that there are two rooms with two larger beds and two bathrooms each. The bedrooms and bathrooms are fine. For this, you may be willing to pay the high price.
The neighbourhood is also good, with lots of restaurants and a metro station around the corner.
We didn't use the kitchen, but it seems to have all the necessary appliances. The "living room" is actually the entrance area of the flat, where we didn't spend much time because of the sofa. - The sofa is very stained and in poor condition.
- Although we informed the place that were arriving late - 9 pm - when we booked the appartment, we were only informed the day of our arrival that we had to pay 35€ extra in cash for late check-in. On the website (16.04.2024) there is no information about this! For 36€ at the pizzeria next door, on the same night, we got 2 large pizzas and 2 drinks. For the same price you can buy 4 Margheritas.
- When we arrived the bed in the second bedroom wasn't made. As my daughter could sleep in my bed, it was ok, even though it is clear that you want to use both beds, if you are two and book a place with two rooms. Who would pay so much money for a room and a bed that they don't use?
- By chance, a friend's booking was cancelled shortly before arrival, so we were able to give him the second room from the second day on. We informed the owner on the first day, who assured us that the beds would be made and towels would be there. On the second day, we left him the money again in cash, which he was happy to take. However, in the same textmessage he thanked us for the money he also informed us that the beds were not made and that there were no towels either. Even though they were finally delivered on the third day, the owner could have compensated us for this and not charged us the full price for that second day. After all, the second bed hadn't been made for two whole days.
- It is worth remembering that nowadays you pay the full price for such a flat in a city like Rome two whole weeks in advance with no possibility of a refund - conditions, which are solely in the interests of the landlord. In our case 1360€, or one month's salary in Italy for a week. From the customer's point of view, these are actually absurd conditions in every respect. But that's how bookings work nowadays.
- Sr. (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good for us because of its proximity to St. Peters and central Rome.
The view of St. Peters was magnificent especially in the evening! Our apartment was on the 7th floor and the second day of our stay the elevator was out of order all day!!!
- Gemma (9/5): Brilliant choice for a stay in Rome! - Excellent choice for a stay in Rome. 15 mins walk from Vatican, right across from Trionfale market for delicious food, great restaurants nearby. Air con in both bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, excellent communication with hosts, pretty clean, little balcony and beautiful view of St Peter’s Basilica. Would definitely stay again! The water pressure in the showers was really quite poor (tricky to wash long hair), and one of the toilet flushes played up a bit but this was near the end of the holiday and the host seemed reactive when we explained the problem. But these were very small things. Overall, a great choice!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (9/5): everything was good, location is great - views and location instructions for the oven and washer would be nice
- Skye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (10/5): great place, comfortable and a fabulous view! - It was clean and comfortable. Nice location away from crowds but close to restaurants and cafes. water pressure could be better in shower.
- Alessandro (7/5): Good - Great location, near to underground station and restaurants The elevator was quite small and slow. The apartment is on 8th floor.. The view from the balcony is not great.
- Ida (7/5): Overall the accommodation was good and centrally situated - No breakfast. Good location, access to areas we were interested in TV didn’t work
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmed (8/5): Really enjoyable and great aircon. Within walking distance of Vatican City. - The location was within walking distance of Vatican City and the views from the bedrooms were exceptional. There were a few moments when one of the ensuite bathroom sinks was leaking and also the electricity cut out too.
