• Roy (8/5): - The lady in reception was very helpful, fluent english, went above and beyond for us. The room had large space, location is 10 min walk from old town and lake. Shower pressure was not good at all. There is 'old furniture' smell in the room. One light in the bedroom was broken

• Valdas (7/5): Place to stay near train street. - We liked the location a lot, this place is near train street and you can visit it very easily. The place was spacious, stuff was helpful. There were cockroaches in the kitchen. It was not very nice. And we were hoping to relax in the balcony but it was not suited for that which was sad as it was quite big.

• Małgorzata (10/5): - We enjoyed this place so much that we kept extending our stay. The lady at the reception was very helpful, and the staff responded quickly to anything we asked for. The apartment itself is huge and perfect for groups or families. It is a bit noisy, but that’s simply because of the central location, so it’s something to be aware of. It also doesn’t look exactly like in the photos — though I’ve noticed this is quite common in Hanoi, where pictures tend to be heavily enhanced. Overall, we still had a really great experience.

• Debra (9/5): Enjoyed this place more than I expected to, very happy. - Big apartment, plenty of room for 5 people or more. Great to have room to sit around the large sofas and unwind together. Washing machine was a bonus for us. Cool to watch the trains go by from the balcony and watch the busy street below. Cleaners were very sweet and helpful. Not enough coffee/tea cups and general kitchen items for 5 people, we purchased disposable cups to use. Balcony has no furniture so we just took the dining room chairs out there.

No balcony furniture. Lamps not working. TV hit and miss. Stair balustrade broken in unit - dangerous. Door to balcony not sliding open and lock/handle broken.

The hotel itself was a bit dated but suited us with comfy beds, great air con and it was very quiet inside.

• Dustin (1/5): Booking.com and Google reviews cant be trusted, nothing like advertised - Location is the only positive, short walk to many good places to eat, convenience stores, ATM and Hanoi Train Street Accomodation is nothing like the photos at https://www.mayfair-hanoi.com/en/galleries or Google maps. We booked it for a large group of 20 to hang out at the pool which looked nothing like advertised. Check out the real photos attached. You get toilet stains, dirty backdrop for the pool, mouldy interior and exterior, weird smells, dirty glassware, hard beds with ridiculously high pillows. No tennis or basketball courts like advertised. Elevator made a loud crash sound during a black out just moments after we got out with a friends baby, consequences could have been disastrous. Place is in real need of renovations. We had to find alternative accommodation and only used Mayfair to mind our luggage while we went on a Ha Long Bay cruise. Booking.com and Google reviews cant be trusted, most likely manipulated and out of date.
• Steve (1/5): Bad - There was nothing to like about this apartment it felt more like a hostel the property at Mayfair Hanoi is not as described in the pictures and as such my group of 21 have decided to leave this accommodation the issues across all 4 rooms range from the following: - toilet that floods the bathroom - feces on the toilet upon arrival - had to ask for toilet paper several times - stains on the beds - pool had no foreign objects in it and was so dirty - kids playground was never cleaned - no basketball court - staircase in rooms had 2 steps that were flimsy and only a matter of time until someone falls through it - showers that have never been cleaned - black mould on the walls (very hazardous) - power blackouts - very damp smell in the rooms

We got an apartment with a washing machine and tumble dryer which was really helpful. Soundproofing was good. AC throughout. Swimming pool wasn't well maintained. Apartment was a bit dusty.

• Wayne (10/5): Great place for a family to stay. Handy, tidy and large. - Very large apartment and the location was awesome. Literally 50 metres from Train Street. But no noise, well insulated. You can see it from your window. The kitchen was well supplied, even though we ate out each day as there are so many places to eat nearby. Used the washing machine and the dryer, which was a great bonus to have. I would definitely recommend this for a large family. Nothing really, if I had to be a little picky, the beds were a little too hard for our liking. Still slept like babies though. Lol.
• Pam (9/5): Enormous Apartment with full facilities - HUGE. The apartment is on two levels with two bathrooms - one with an actual bath! We were only there for one night but it would be have been ideal for a longer visit. Washing machine and dryer, full kitchen, lots of hot water. The washing machine didn't actually work, but we didn't really need it. The pool and gym were great, but bear in mind that the pool is not in full sun so was perishingly cold in December/January!

• Allan (1/5): Scam Hotel - They took our credit card for payment behind the counter and secretly charged it three times. Luckily I checked my account after! It’s been over a week and they’ve still not returned the money owed, theyre blaming their bank for being slow. Also the room had shared balconies that couldn’t be locked. It’s unsafe, avoid.

• Rob (9/5): Great location, plenty of space, clean and comfortable. - There was no breakfast available at Mayfair Hanoi which wasn't a problem because there's the choice of traditional Vietnamese food, French Patisseries and fresh food market stalls across the road. On arrival we noticed that repairs and maintenance of fixtures (broken Perspex in stairs), furniture (dining table and chairs) and furnishings (cushions & artwork) needed attending to, however, assistance with getting the air conditioner and tv to work was instantaneous, which was very much appreciated.
• Roel (5/5): Good location but not so friendly management - The room was very spacious but not completely clean. Airconditioning was not running when we arrived (10PM) so it was very hot in the room. Location was very good; just was a few steps away from Train station and close to old town During our last day, we together with our 4 kids, had a night train to take at 10PM. For late checkout we needed to pay 50% of a night, which we couldnt accept. We asked if we at least could use the swimming pool and the shower outside, just before leaving to the train station. The crew initially approved but the manager didn’t allow us. It was very dissapointing and not in line with other friendly people in Vietnam.

Very little crockery, apartment block is quite old and dark. No kettle or tea towel or cutlery so difficult to do self catering.

• Kwang (9/5): Old charm - Friendly staff. Superb location, which is just a few minutes to the railway tourist attraction, Lenin Park and Citadel. Beautiful pool although we didn't use it because it has been raining badly. The apartment is huge. Despite it is old but very well maintained and very charming 😊 Air-co gives not sufficient coolness beside it is old also the living and dining rooms are huge
• James (8/5): Great location for a huge apartment - Amazing location, not sure you could get better in fact, sit on the balcony and watch the train go past and easily walk to the old town. The apartments are huge, bigger than most houses and there is a big pool, seperate little kids pool and a playground. The apartments are so big that it's almost a hassle, having 2 rooms upstairs and the master down stairs wasn't ideal for our family with young kids. Things are a little old and in poor condition, the showers were moldy and breaking whilst the rooms weren't especially clean. The pool had broken rails and broken chairs and the playground was rusted through and completely broken although still usable if your not to precious.

• Sunil (9/5): good but could have been better like last time ( stayed here twice ) - location the best. Hang Ha at the reception the most charming and helpful person ever ,actually she makes the stay exceptional. In fact their staff at reception are all exceptional. few problems there was no music system like last time and the water provision was bad. i think some work to be done with the plumbing especially in the bathrooms. looks like they forgot about the room. The tub is dangerous they better provide some handles before a nasty accident happens.

• George (9/5): Big spacious apartment close to old town - Great location and very spacious. There are great facilities in the apartment (washing and kitchen) and lots of space for everyone to spread out. Easy walking distance to old town. The apartment is on three levels, so if you struggle with steps this is not the place for you. You enter at the lowest level (two bedrooms), middle level is kitchen, huge lounge and main bedroom, upper level is big open area (great for kids) and another bedroom. Apartment is a bit dated, but otherwise we really enjoyed it.
• Katleen (7/5): spacious appartment - be ready to walk/xe om to sights - location close to train street, within reasonable walking distance from the old quarter and Hoan Kiem lake, Ho Chi Minh tomb (we are avid walkers). Temple of literature/Ethnographic museum etc requires a "grab" taxi - very easy, Some cute cafés nearby for food. Working washer and dryer. one dishcloth, no towels to dry dishes and we could find only 2 plates. it states that a drying rack is present but the property did not have this, reception claimed they do not have this and that it is Booking that put it on the listing? in any case, the dryer worked.. our apartment (nr 1) had some of the ivy already getting past the cracks in the window, gives a bit a feeling of neglect. we looked for our children’s toys that fell on the floor/under the bed and discovered copious amounts of dust and dust bunnies. there is a daily clean but it seems that the deep (and daily ) clean doesn’t reach under the beds.. the terrace and related furniture are too dirty to use and the mosquito guard door was rusty and not easy to move for the living room and upstairs rooms. there is a little playground but dirty and not in optimal quality (monkey bars rusty and not fully fixed any more ). whilst sitting outside watching my children on said playground, I could locate 1 out of 6 chairs that was suited to sit on, the rest were broken.

• Ming (10/5): Excellent location, large space, great for families, and wonderful service! - Excellent location, near the best tourist sites and near Old Hanoi but not so close as to be crowded and difficult to get in and out of. Old Hanoi can be really busy and dense, but this place is great for families. The front desk, security, and maintenance people are all wonderfully helpful and cheerful. They come in a clean the place everyday! Definitely recommend this place if you want a bit more space. The price is great as well! Nothing.
• Seongbae (10/5): Exceptional - It was a big apartment that fits for family. Two bedrooms are on first floor and the other big bedroom is on second which is accessible by stair indoor. The staff in the reception speaks good English so you can get help regarding anything from them. Unfortunately, security staff at night does not. But very kind anyway. Other facilities such as pool was also there but we could not use it due to the weather. It is relatively silence area so you can get out from the bustling noise of motor bikes. Nothing
