• Suneeth_99 (8/5): Superb rooms and excellent location. You just need to be little careful with the stairs. - The room is too good. It's a huge room with big beds and all the necessary things that you would need. 11/10 for the room and special mention to the host. The stairs to the room are slightly dangerous as they're little steep. as i travelled with my aged parents, that was the only thing that didn't make it to the 11/10 list.

• Neelprabha (7/5): Good location but very old apartment . Good for 6/7 youngsters group but not for family as there is no elevator - Location and spaciousness . Owner is helpful . He kept asking if anything we need. He suggested lots of sightseeing and good eatery. Whenever need he is able to help us. He allowed us to keep our luggage for extra 1 hour after check out time. But still we didn’t like as in this budget we can book 2 rooms in good hotel. But it’s our fault as b4 booking we haven’t read reviews. It is on 4 th floor. Stairs are scary . It is good for young students in a group but not good for family or who does not like stairs. It wasn’t mentioned in advertisement that the apartment on 4 th floor. Also it’s actually 2 specious rooms separated with curtains so no privacy. Bathroom door not able to close from outside. Curtains are torn out. See the pictures

• Marta (10/5): Siedem osób bez wyjątku - zadowolone! - Po pierwsze były bardzo wygodne łóżka. Po drugie miejsce posiada balkon, co dodaje klimatu, a znajomi mogli palić papieroski z widokiem. Po trzecie, obsługa była wspaniała. Nasze walizki wjechały mini windą na ostatnie piętro, więc nie musieliśmy ich wnosić. Ilość łazienek była wystarczająca na 7 osób. Zapewniono nam wodę z baniaka. Lokalizacja jest rewelacyjna, głośna, ale wszędzie w Hanoi jest głośno. Działa klimatyzacja i wiatrak. Jest WiFi. Dookoła są świetne knajpki i słynna kawa.
• Sandra (10/5): Clean, convenient, and comfortable for my family - The host was responsive, prompt, and professional. He kindly answered all my questions so I’d know what to expect upon arrival, and even after we checked in, he was always prompt in responding to my questions like “where is XYZ? How do I operate ABC?” This flat offers a typical Old Quarter living experience. It’s a 4th floor walk up with a narrow winding staircase, street noise and music from neighboring businesses can be heard, and it has a “schoilet” setup in the bathroom in that there’s no partition separating the shower from the toilet. For some, these may be deal breakers. For us, it was not. If you want to have a Hilton or Marriott experience, then don’t stay here and instead book yourself a Hilton or Marriott. This flat was comfortable for my family of 5, safe, and very clean. We had plenty of space to relax and enjoy some takeaway food. Cities are noisy and the street noise did not bother us. We were all able to get a good night’s sleep each night. I don’t even remember how late the music and motorbike honking would go until but it couldn’t have been too late because we all were able to fall asleep. The beds were very comfortable. I especially appreciated the bottled water dispenser, the washing machine, the WiFi, the AC, and the lift for our luggage. We did not use the balcony at all because the air quality was not great during our time in Hanoi, but it seems like a great space to use. The location was super convenient for walking to restaurants and shopping. N/A

• Cindy (9/5): - The host was very nice and helpful. If there are any issues, they are close by to assist. Response time is quick. Great location, so many food choices and a lot of shops. Very spacious for 6 people. The beds were comfortable. The stairway is a bit tight with no elevator. So keep in mind for those who have bad knees. The front gate, which is kept locked after midnight, is hard to open. There's this small slot where you have to reach inside and use the key to open it up. And if you happen to drop the key, then you're locked out.

• diane (10/5): Fantastic - Large apartment with all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Apartment is as in the pictures. Perfect location in the old quarter of Hanoi. Lam Son was the perfect host and made our stay comfortable.

• Genevieve (10/5): Our host Lam Son was helpful and available, even late at night. The area is great, noisy, (not the loudest street) but m - Lots of space for a young family. If you don’t mind sleeping in the same room it’s great. It was bigger than anywhere we stayed in Vietnam. A lot of stairs to get up to the 4th floor but manageable if you are fit and don’t have bad knees! Balcony was great to relax, eat and street watch. Facilities and kitchen great too. Drinking water is provided which was a bonus. Stairs could be tiring.

• Tirza (9/5): Superb - The place is really God taken care of. You can feel the love for the appartement. Everything you need is there. The location is great, you can walk everywhere. We received a list with good places to go for food and other activities. We really enjoyed our stay here and our kids too! Nothing bad, but good to realize you have to take a few stairs to enter the appartement.

The host had great communication, and was helpful throughout the entire stay: gave food recommendations on the first day and kept in touch even during our excursions to provide tips based on his own experience.

• Yash (10/5): Exceptional - There are total of 6 double beds (4 in one room and 2 in another). The rooms are quite spacious. The location is definitely one of the best. Everything is just walking distance. Absolutely worth the stay. We even extended 2 days at the same apartment coz we loved it so much.
• Kelly (10/5): Nice and spacious unit. - Very Spacious and clean. This unit is located at the center of the town, where i can go to the city and lake just by walking. Its at 4th floor, not recommended for elderly. But they did provide lift to carry heavy luggages to 4th floor, its just not for carrying human.

The anfitrion was very nice, always available to solve any doubt and to give us recomendations about the city (where to eat and places to visit). He also allowed us to leave our luggage on the place all day after the check out.
• Pial (8/5): Excellent stay - The location is superb and the place is comfortable and cosy. The hosts were super and very helpful. My mom traveled on a separate flight and so we left at different times. Due to her back problems she couldn't bring her luggage down, after telling the host, they made sure someone was there to help with the luggage as the stairs are quite narrow. Very happy with host. It would be better if there was a dryer provided and some parts of the house did feel a bit dusty as we were trying to dry our clothes and hang them we saw the deco on the wall that was very dusty. Would be good to have a good clean once a week.

• Zarah (8/5): Excellent location - We were not expecting the stairs (and to be honest, a bit sketchy) but nevertheless, the place has an excellent location we never once hailed a cab! The owners were very helpful during our entire stay and sent us recommendations on where to go and eat. We also loved that you can cook and do laundry here unlike the other hostels we stayed. In the morning, we would go downstairs and buy coffee. The coffeeshop on the ground floor of the building opens very early in the morning so we were able to buy our morning coffee before our day tours. One of the toilets has an inch gap so you can peep/see if someone is inside. Other than that, this is a great place to stay.

• Amelia (10/5): It was a very comfortable and pleasing stay in a good location - Mr Lam Son (owner of this KemKay homestay) was extremely hospitable and responsive through both the Booking.com messaging app as well as WhatsApp. He was also very flexible in allowing early check-in (with a small extra early check-in fee) and supported us in all the queries we had. Checking in and out of the homestay was fuss-free and simple, he gave clear instructions on how to enter the property and also provided great recommendations on things to do in the Old Quarter. The homestay itself was large and spacious, beds were huge and comfortable, and the whole apartment was very clean. Toiletries and towels were provided, and the homestay is also situated in a very easily accessible location (was a quick 8 - 10 mins walk to Hoan Kiem Lake). Wifi was strong on both the first and second levels, a bit spotty on the third level but totally understandable as the apartment is quite big and the WiFi router is located on the first floor. We felt quite safe in the neighbourhood when walking around at night, it was also quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. Showers were strong and had good heating, and the toilets were very clean as well. House slippers are provided too! There was a weekend night market one street down from the homestay, so that was a nice surprise too as we did not realise there would be one. All in all i would totally recommend this homestay, and i will definitely be back with friends or family when i visit Hanoi again in the future. N/A
• Michael (9/5): Overall, this is a great option for a large group who wants to stay in a centralized area of Hanoi. - Large rooms; comfortable beds; working air conditioning; nearby a lot of restaurants, sights, and shops. We were a party of 9 people and this was perfect for us. The host was in constant communication and organized drivers for us when we needed. Electricity cut out sometimes, and the stairs up and down to the flat were narrow in spots. It is a very noisy area, if you are a light sleeper this might be an issue, but the convenient location made it worth it for us.

The room was really clean and the beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed the place a lot!! The apartment is located on the 4th floor, so might not be suitable for some people.
• Radu (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, in the middle of everything. The host was friendly and helpful, easy check-in and check-out. The apartment was super big and the beds were large and comfy. It had 2 bathrooms, which was quite practical. I deffintely recommend it The surroundings were very noisy - starting from early in the morning until late in the night (this is because it's located in the very center on the busy streets). Might be a problem for some people if you look for a quiet place. Also, we had no other option to pay for our booking apart from cash, so be prepared :) Other than that, no probs at all.
